Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: 1st time in Cuba would be my last!

Sun, sand, pool and drinks were great but buffet was terrible! Ala carte restaurants were ok but not everything on the menu was available. Public washroom often ran out of toilet paper.. patio door didn’t lock, bug bites and mosquitos were bad... bring antihistamines... room water/pop and beer were not often refilled. Exchange is crazy expensive $100 pesos to $150 CDN. Excursions were great but long days... Jeep excursion was 11hrs..: Was having GI issues the whole trip... ate French fries f [... read more]or breakfast as I couldn’t stomach buffet.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Amazing family resort

The resort was huge and staff were amazing! The kids had a wonderful time at the kids club. The upgrade to diamond club was certainly worth every penny! Private beach area was great. Our favorite meal was at the Japanese restaurant and the buffet on the Wednesday night was just amazing!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Spectacular♥️ Paradise

Book it ! This place is an Outstanding Beautiful Paradise Oasis vacation for family & couples of all ages ! The dinning facilities are Terrific ! The hotel was ok but they ran out of toilet paper at the pool bathroom every day other than that the entertainment was good every night I would recommend the hotel to a friend I would come back next year food could of been better

Playa Vista Azul: Amazing time!

We loved the resort from start to finish! Such a great vibe. 2 beautiful clean beaches. The ocean was so much fun! Great waves and the colour was out of this world! The food was great and service fantastica. We will definitely be back!

Club Kawama: It is as expected....

Resort staff was amazing as always. Times are tough right now in cuba in general and you could feel the difference everywhere you went. Grounds and buildings need repair but are almost 80 years old...

Barcelo Solymar: Barcelona solymar

This was the most god awful resort I’ve ever been to. Every single bar does not have something, whether it’s pop or a type of liquor, so be prepared to walk to another one. There’s a disco that no one uses and is shit down at 12am. We had ice cold water for a week straight, front desk told us a mechanic was coming to our room and had us wait there for three hours, only to find out it is a hotel wide issue and no one was coming. We switched room four times due to cockroach infestation in tw [... read more]o different rooms. When we tried to contact the sunwing rep late at night, he did not answer. The manager at the front desk would not call for us, and told us we would be charged for calling from our room. The entertainment team does the least possible. We asked for music at the pool other than Russian jazz and were told we need to wait until 2:30pm every day. I highly recommend not going to this resort.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Comfortable -- you get what you pay for !!

Our second time back this time for two weeks ! The service is getting worse - one day no water - gone for breakfast no one would bring coffee - tv not working for two weeks after being reported ! Phone not working - the food was to repetitive - two weeks and 6 days in a row roast pork - or chicken that's it ! Toaster broke down for three days ! Maid service always not complete ! Wifi not always working ! The good things were there was always alcohol - and great coffee shop ! Blau Varadero: Love this resort !!

Was recently at the Blau Varadero for a week. My first trip to Cuba. I loved everything about this resort. The resort is lovely with many comfortable sitting areas to relax and have a drink. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The beach is of course fantastic. One of the best parts of my trip were the people. The Cuban people are so kind, helpful, and do everything to make your trip a great experience. From the dining room staff, to the house keepers, the front desk, and our tour guid [... read more]e to Havana, everyone tried to make our trip as comfortable and memorable as possible. Loved old Havana! The beautiful historic buildings, cobblestone and narrow streets, and classic, colourful American cars, make it a trip not to miss. Would definitely go back to Cuba and to the Blau Varadaro.

Playa Caleta: Amazing location

This hotel is on the end of Varadero,So it is quiet,and not many commercial. the beach/sea/location is perfect if you like stay in natural. but it seem this hotel is old,so you should accept its OLd.

Grand Memories Varadero: Can't Get Enough...Going Back...

I just love this place... I was there in December and i returned with my son's family, and two grandchildren. My 1 1/2 yr old granddaughter was very sick and Raquel Soria Diaz....who is the reason i keep going back, was so quick to get me to the doctor it was amazing.. Such a caring doctor available and reassured me that my granddaughter would be fine. They even gave me pedialite to nourish her for the next few days. I was ever so grateful. Melia Marina Varadero: Would not go back!

This is my fourth trip to Cuba. This resort has potential but didn't meet my expectations. Food was very good but they constantly ran out of plates, glasses, spoons. Lineups were long. It was difficult to get water or coffee at the buffet. Staff were very busy - perhaps more staff is needed. The lobby bar frequently did not have wine and other items. Very few servers and the lobby bar was several people deep. The grounds appear to have adequate lighting standards/poles but the lights are burn [... read more]ed out making walking in the evening dangerous. Some staff are wonderful, others dismissive. We attended one ala carte. It was good. Unable to book any others as they were full. We attempted to book them on our second day. The beach is quite a distance away from the far end of the resort. A Trolley is available for rides around the resort but during some periods there is only one trolley for the whole resort. It was necessary to call maintenance to the room on a couple occasions. They came very quickly. We couldn't get the room cleaning sorted out. Occasionally they missed our room, it appears that the towels are only replaced if left on the floor. We observe the cleaner one day - she worked hard but did not appear to have any disinfectant or soap. She used only water.

Playa Caleta: Need a refresh! 2* Max!!

A lot of thing weren’t working properly, this hotel need a lot of help! The staffs were good but you see they are tired to try to do something with nothing! The half of the customers were sick because they were using the water from the sink to make drinks, forget to have a super nice cocktail, they can’t even do a mojito! Public toilettes were so disgusting... you need your own paper if you want to go...

Club Kawama: Awesome beach

This is second time, good value for your money , great walking distance from restaurants, markets, if u like to fish bring your rod as its on the other side of the street. Beach is amazing you can always see your feet. This is a resort that is so ive been told 1 km long so if u are at the other end be prepared for a walk. Very layed back resort so if you are looking or your fancy blended drinks, really good mojitos this isnt the place athough they do make awesome lime dacquiris. The food well y [... read more]ou can always find sonething u like, they hve a good snack bar hamburgers,hot dogs, ham and cheese no fries! i suggest if you like peanut butter,jam, snacks bring from home. Rooms are very old so be prepared if you didnt book superior, we did and we still had to see manager and they gave us a room in perfect location. Cuba just broght in a new law a couple of months ago that you cannot use pesos at the airport when waiting to leave so make sure you change yoyr money back at bank or airport before u go though security. You also might want to pack a sandwich at hotel so u dont have to buy at airport as only 1 restaurant and sandwich venues that are overpriced. Also buy your booze and presents in town airport double the price. We had a great time at Kawama will go again as it is a relaxed atmosphere and you can always get a lounge chair! Bring a flashlight as its not very well lit at night and if u use a facecloth bring that to. Hope this gives u a little idea of the property!

Playa Vista Azul: Very Nice Resort

The rooms are beautiful, clean and well kept. The staff is excellent and the shows are great. The food is very good, but it is definitely worth booking privilege. You will be well looked after here .

Palma Real: Planning to come back

The staff and the atmosphere of the resort was amazing. Non stop things to do. Whether you are dancing by the pool, getting a drink at the beach bar or hanging out in the lobby. Location is amazing and perfect.

Resonance Blu Varadero: Great resort and easy on the bank account

For the price this is a great resort! The second we got out of the airport we all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the resort staff, always have a smile. The bar service is generally pretty good. Waited a couple times but that’s to be expected when only 2 servers are on the bar and half the resort is there. The Buffett food isn’t anything special but plenty of it!! The excursions are a touch expensive but worth it to experience Cuba. Muthu Playa Varadero: Nice Resort

The hotel was clean. Maid Yeni provided excellent service. Staff were very friendly. No matter which bar you went to they always remembered your beverage of choice. A couple of complaints I have would be the need to change up the buffet with more choices and selection rather than providing the same options everyday for both lunch and dinner. Breakfast was exceptionally good. They need to provide more night entertainment shows for the kids; around 8-8:30pm. Then after do the usual entertai [... read more]nment show. They had 2 games per day for the adults and 1 for the children. They could do one between the children's entertainment show and the regular shows; providing they implement a childs show. I have been to 2 other resorts in cuba and this is how they do the shows/games.

Club Karey: NOT a 2 star resort

When I booked this resort I knew I was getting what I paid for but when I arrived it was a totally different situation. The light in the Hall in 7 days I was there did not get fixed. I was asked to pay a Key deposit fee which I was never explained before and a towel rental fee for non existent pool towels I did get my money back $20.00 CAD when I checked. The room itself was fine it was the over all service on the resort that lacked and communication lacked with the staff on the resort you wo [... read more]uld get a different answer every time. I had 2 small hand towels for showering the 7 days i was there they were never changed. The food situation was minimal at best I managed most of the week at breakfast, the lunch bufftet and the dinner buffet were the same daily there were no desserts, also the snack bar closed at 4pm when the website says 6:30. This resort is a very low end resort and you basically get what you paid for but this resort really lacked in other areas no toilet paper in the pool area bathrooms, alot of things missing

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Beautiful Resort

This resort is beautiful and very clean.The staff are very kind and friendly. The animation team was amazing. Shout out to Raul, Denis, Ismael and Elizabeth.The buffet was amazing! People who complain about Cuban food should just stay at home. You will find at least a few dishes you will like. You can always bring condiments from home to Cuba. Amazing resort to go as a couple or family.
