Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Relaxing

Our concierge at the level Jose Minaya was very attentive and even bought me golf socks because I forgot them at home. The staff were nice. The breakfast at the level was the best sad if you love burgers, awesome ones at the beach. The resort is big but easy to maneuver plus they will pick you up with golf carts if you don’t want to walk to the main hotel. The beach is heaven. One issue is with other guests reserving spots at the pool and not coming back to use it and the same as at the beach.  [... read more]The towel but should only allow 2 towels a day do guests aren’t taking advantage. Other than having to get up at 6 am to make sure we got a spot by the pool or beach, stay was great.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing resort

The resort was really good Food was great Rooom nice size They need to fix patio door locks on ground floor But the did come down and put lock on right away. Pool were great everything clean I would go back

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: 2024 Family Trip

Rooms were clean and spacious, we stayed in a family suit with one teenager. Check in and out were smooth and easy. Food was like Cuba, I’m not super picky but not much flavour or different variety of foods. Same things are both buffets everyday. No vegetables only two fruit options. I lived off pasta and hamburgers. The pasta made infront of you at the buffet was the only things hot and staff wasn’t friendly. Burgers at the beach snack bar were ok if you got a cooked one. Italian restaurant was amazing, and service was beyond quick for two people. Japanese restaurant was amazing, sushi was fresh. The drinks were ok, if you found a drink you like stick with it. I tried different cocktails and most were not good. Pool bar being the only shallow area of the pool was busy with kids and adults because nobody could stand or hangout anywhere else. Beach was clean, ocean was clean. Lots of chairs just minimal shade which everyone knows travelling to tropical places.

The beach area was always clean as was the pool area. Activity staff were energetic and creative with their activities. Staff worked hard to provide interesting special occasion entertainment, e.g. for Valentine's Day. The chefs provided a wide variety of foods at every meal. Most impressive was the restaurant staff. Staff were extremel hard working, efficient and professional. They were always cheerful and attentive. Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Loved! Loved! Loved! Secrets Tides Punta Cana

We just got home from an amazing week at Secrets Tides Punta Cana. Everything was absolutely exceptional, from the moment we arrived on the resort to the moment we left. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a pool/ocean view room on the 4th floor, where we were able to see beautiful sunrises and sunsets. We had a fruit platter and bottle of wine waiting for us. It was nice to have 24 hour room service since we arrived after 10 pm, the food arrived within 20 minutes and was above our expectatio [... read more]ns. The pools on the resort are stunning a little on the cool side but nothing you couldn't go in, since the resort is still new it was only at 30% capacity, which meant it was not busy anywhere. The staff always wanted to help, at the beach you never had to move to get a drink, pool bars were awesome, restaurants met all of our needs. The staff go way above and beyond to meet your needs, they take the time to get to know you and remember the little things...and that make a huge difference. We would go back in a second.

Secrets Tides Punta Cana: Too New to be Enjoyable

Fairly new hotel and so lots of things have to be sorted out. The goods: Beach, cleanliness, staff friendliness especially concierge The Bads: Food, food, food...good portions but not cooked well and tasteless, no local a la carte onsite either, lots of pools but water cold, seem to cater to a American clientele, entertainment caters for a younger audience and not much variety, sales gimmick for timeshare I would not recommend this hotel until it has cleaned up some of its starting pains a [... read more]nd get proper foods in the restaurant (maybe a year or so)

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Amazing resort

I really loved this resort, with spacious lobby, restaurant, theatre, swimming pools, kids special play room and swimming pool, fitness room. Public amenities nicely decorated, lobby and restaurant have huge chandeliers, one of the kind pieces of art. Nice lighting touches too. Three residential buildings are nicely designed, with the inside tropical gardens, lovely. Food very good, service friendly but not sufficient at certain hours. Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Very relaxing vacation

We had a very relaxing vacation at Samana. Pros: *outstanding views from anywhere on the resort property *nice rooms and great maid service *excellent drinks *small resort with no congestion, lots of chairs and palapas *small beach, but perfect for swimming and lounging *friendly staff *restaurants are located strategically for amazing ocean views *lots of sitting areas with amazing views of the ocean *rela [... read more]xing pool area with nice selection of low key music, plenty of sitting areas Cons: *a lot of stairs; elevator for room levels, but you cannot avoid stairs to the buffet, pool or beach *staff were acommodating when qued, however a little slow to identify people's needs ahead of time; language barrier was an issue *variety of food was limited; buffet for dinner was very repetitive and the only option for dinner *no wine inclusion (only sold by the bottle)

Punta Cana Princess: Beautiful Resort

This hotel is well kept! Very clean, nice restaurants, very friendly and curtious staff! It was not packed, which we loved. We also liked the location because we were set back away from the town in our own little paradise. We will definitely be back!

Occidental Caribe: Resort review

Rooms are a bit out dated and not super clean in the bathroom but not horrible.the rest of the resort is very clean Buffet isn’t amazing but found stuff to eat. Good entertainment, pool is very nice and big. Waves were very large at the beach and lots of people selling stuff on the beach. We did the tour with dune buggies to the cave/chocolate/ coffee and it was fun for $50. Also the boat tour that takes you to snorkel/ sea walk and that was fun

Occidental Caribe: Horrible

This is the worst resort we have ever stayed at. Our room was old and dirty looking, our ceiling leaked, every time we tried to use the bathroom tap it came off. There were someone’s clothes left in the dresser, my 13 year old son found a disgusting used tampon in the end table drawer. Our safe didn’t work, we had no ac so our sheets were always damp! When we brought all of this to the attention of the front desk they shrugged their shoulders and said all other rooms are occupied. No compensatio [... read more]n was given, they didn’t care. Our sheets weren’t washed once the week we stayed and my sons sheets looked like they weren’t washed before we got there. The food at the buffet was terrible, the trays were filled with the exact same thing every single day. 17 out of 23 people in our group got food poisoning including myself and I spent 24 hours sick in bed. The pool is nice and the entertainment is good, the beach is beautiful but I would never go back even if it was free

Serenade All Suites Adults Only Resort: Amazing Resort

This was a beautiful and well maintained resort. Hard working and friendly staff! The food was amazing, both al a carte and buffets. The service around the pools was amazing, I think we may have only gone to the bar twice to get our drinks the entire week.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Hidden gem

We've been to this resort 6 times now. It's just the right combination of size, food quality, staff friendliness and extras like orchid gardens, peacocks, a beach barbecue, super animation team and shows and of course lots of ice cream!

Iberostar Waves Dominicana: Great resort

This is my 4th time at this resort. The staff are super friendly. Clean rooms and the food at the buffet had lots of options and so much fresh fruit and vegetables. The beach is beautiful but it was very windy when we were there Feb.7-14/2024. Pools are great, we had no problems getting a lounge chair but we are early risers. Drinks are great and so many options. The only beer that is served is Presidente but I like their local beer. The gardens are taken care of and you can get a free coconut from the lawn care guys that open for you to drink.

Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio: Decent Trip for the price

This is a solid 3.5 star hotel; the rooms are basic with all you need but nothing else, no hooks for towels, limited drawers, very loud in building 3. The food was ok, enough to find something to eat but I wouldn't call it good food. The beach is amazing and you can walk very far safely. We always found chairs no problem. The staff are excellent. The bus ride to get there from Punta Cana was 1 hour and 45 minutes.

We went with a large group and no complaints here. Room was decent food was good and there was no shortage of fun and entertainment. We had a blast and would definitely go back. Great price and next time would bring the kids as well.

Occidental Caribe: Not the best experience

Unfortunately, the hotel was old and the food was not of high quality. The rooms are very old and everything is broken. Cockroaches are running around the room and in the restaurant. The food in the restaurant is of rather low quality, unsanitary. On the penultimate day of vacation, I got poisoned and was very sick all day and could not even move. This was the 11th time we visited this hotel. We noticed some changes that were obviously to keep down the overhead in order to stay competitive. For example the table cloths on the tables in both the Ocean Grill and the cafeteria were no longer. The food was very good but again with a few changes. As well, it looked like lower status managers were expected to do more. Raul in the cafeteria went over and above. He works very hard. Felix, is one of the servers, is quite good. I see a big improvement with Adrian since last year. The only problem we encountered was at the reception. The junior employee barked at me because I had the audacity to enquire if my room was ready. She needs to spend some time learning customer service from some of the senior managers because they really know what is customer retention and customer service. As well during the week, we encountered a small issue where the maid forgot to leave us some towels. This could have been dealt with very quickly. However, it took four hours and finally needed to be escalated to the night manager, Dominique. The reception showed a real lack of urgency in that situation.

Bahia Principe Escape Bouganville: Wonderful Facility with societies challenges.

The resort itself is beautiful, well maintained with wonderful staff and great food. We spent nine days at the resort and thoroughly enjoyed the food, staff and facilities for the most part. We were always able to get a lounge chair on the beac, although not close to the beach itself. Most. Hairs near the water were “towelled very early in the morning and most remained void of occupants most of the morning. The pool, on the other hand was always “towelled” thus loungers not available at breakfas [... read more]t time and thus all day if you wanted shade. Despite both areas having signs prohibiting saving loungers, it was a daily practice. This situation was addressed to not avail. Service on the beach was fair and we were served usually once an hour. Drinks, although different at each bar, were very acceptable in quality. A-la-carte restaurants (we eat at 4of the 9) were good. The resort has used marble throughout to resort for flooring and it tends to be very slippery. Caution and good non-slip soles are recommended. This is especially so in the shower and bathroom. Mini bar was always well stocked and the room cleaned very well. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. Even our last day without a room after noon went well as we did not leave the resort till 4 pm to enjoy that very lengthy ride to the airport in Punta Cana driving past a very close international airport a few minutes away in La Romana. That inconvenience will certainly be a game changer in future vacation plans.
