Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Not a 5 star resort

Even though the resort looks wonderful, they have maintance issues. We experienced safe not working, balcony door won’t locking. Between the method of them checking us in, having to change rooms, safe not working in second room (client was required to be in the room while safe was repaired). These activies took about 4 1/2 hours of our first day. We were not the only clients, we talked with two other couples that had same issues. The food was not 5 star by any means. Plan, standard and s [... read more]ame for every meal. We were unable to make a reservation at any ala Carte restaurant until after 8:30 pm for any night (this resort was not busy). If you like to walk the beach by no means is this the resort for you. My wife and I did not enjoy our stay at this resort and will not return.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: More to be discovered ..

Overall I think this Resort is a bit overrated. The food is exceptional however, some of the rooms at the White Sands leave little to the imagination and need a facelift. We had no hot water except for the last day we were there and lights frequently went out as the power was an issue. Only two of the water slides were working which defeated the purpose of us choosing the resort for a family vacation for our 9 year old son. I cannot speak highly enough about the staff. I felt like being at a Royalton luxury property it shouldn't have been timeshare Focused. Entertainment at night time locked they have a big venue set up but they never used it one time I was there. Their entertainment schedules were barely stuck to and there was no life and fun during the day. They need a new entertainment crew. I would definitely say you get more bang for your buck staying at the Bahia or Iberostar properties with entertainment food and quality of Resort. This should definitely be listed as an adult resort I didn't see many kid activities other than the water slides there wasn't much fun for the kidlets. Definitely if you're planning to stay at this Resort try the Blue Waters or if you're staying at the White Sands make sure you get an ocean view room or you'll be Gravely disappointed. Also we upgraded to Diamond Club but I would suggest that you do the same before you go down or you will not get the amenities that you are looking for with this type of Resort. As well, room service locked timing sometimes we never even got our meal. One point the chicken fingers were so undercooked we had to send them back and reorder however we never got the order back up to the room. And although some pieces had already been eaten we noticed that our stomachs were a little bit upset afterwards. Overall I would rate this Resort compared to some of the others I've been at in Jamaica around a 3.5. As you enter the front of the building it is not what you expect from a luxury resort which is a waiting out back. New management is definitely needed and proper organization with respect to entertainment and running the resort in a fashion that they promote it as family friendly with great kid programs and more involvement during the day for fun and relaxation.

Riu Montego Bay: Amazing Resort

The hotel was excellent, the rooms and grounds are maintained in a pristine condition. There were some very noisy guests in the next suite and the security team handled that immediately as there are noise restrictions. The staff were extremely kind and friendly. They were interested and excited about our wedding even though it was not at the resort. I found the food to have an superb variety. My partner is a master chef and a bit of a perfectionist so he was a little more discerning about  [... read more]the local food. all in all it was very enjoyable. Riu Palace Jamaica: Lovely

Everything was first class - the food was delicious - the grounds and all of the rooms were great!! Our only downfall is we couldn't get an ocean view room - the view from our room was not suitable to us - but we managed OK - we weren't in the room that much anyhow - but if we go back again - we would not go unless we had an ocean view room. The Jamaican people are so kind and very helpful - we had a great time!! Thanks for booking us!!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great times

Great resort, lots of choice for food, all excellent. Good service at the adult pool, which is where we spent most of our time. All the staff are friendly and this made for a great holiday. Our fourth time here and will be back.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Beautiful

Room was amazing food was great people were the best. The pool and the activities around the pool were fun. The lobby bar closing at 11 was a drag. You would have to go across the resort to get a drink. I would definately recommend

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Terrible service

Not impressed with this hotel at all....my daughters birthday....we asked to have banner hung.......they told us they would.......was never done......no coffee or beer restock..... Limited towels.....rude clerks.....no have a nice fay when exiting breakfast...staff hanging on walls with hands behind backs.......one big dissappointment after another......terrible beach.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Incredible

We had such a fantastic time at the resort. The weather was not ideal, but the entertainment staff made sure we were well looked after. They brought the games inside and we made the best of it. We enjoyed the food, everything prepared to perfection. Five kinds of caviar at the lunch buffet. We were a group of 14 people and they accommodated us quite nicely. Our butler Gawayne was on hand at all times to make sure we didn't want for anything. Would definitely go back.

Riu Reggae: Awesome times!

Great staff throughout, always willing to help with a smile. Never heard “no”, no matter the request! Great food, with lobster too - try the lobster dish at Kulinarium, and we even had lobster st the buffet one night. The entertainment- OMG, what a talented, hard working bunch! Awesome choreography throughout, with some some ver creative, funny acts up theirs sleeves too!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Not as good as before

Charged twice for wifi and not even considered for refund! Awful hospitality at the front lobby. Food was great, however the service at breakfast was horrible . my first time there last year was amazing.. This year...not so much. Bathrooms were philthy especially at the pool . maintenance was done during open hours at pool and beach. Never again.

Azul Beach Resort Negril: Best Resort on the 7 mile beach!

The beach area was long and beautifully kept and by far the best beach in the area. The hotel grounds were amazingly kept, the rooms were immaculate and well set up with a balcony overlooking the pool and beautiful views of the ocean. The food was amazing and there was good entertainment nightly however an itinerary would have been nice either posted in the lobby or in the rooms about where and when the entertainment was as well as a run down of the facilities available to use. Riu Reggae: Great Resort

This hotel is the perfect size. Everything is easily accessible and conveniently located. The hotel is new and very well kept. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and they work very hard. The food was fantastic. The buffet had quite a variety and was changed regularly so it did not get repetitive. If you enjoy jerk chicken, the jerk chicken hut on the beach for lunch was awesome. The best restaurant in our opinion was the steakhouse. The asian a la carte was a miss. Couples Tower Isle: No Disappointments!

We had a great vacation at the Couples Tower Isle in Jamaica. I would highly recommend it to someone looking for a great beach. The rooms were clean! Food was good! Staff and evening activities were awesome!

We had an amazing time at the resort, the grounds are gorgeous and the food was amazing. Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. The entertainment on the resort was great and they had lots of amenities and activities. The beaches were beautiful.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: 5th time at the Grand Bahia Principe

Start out by saying that this is our 5th visit to this lovely place. A lot of changes but for the most part it's AMAZING. FOOD: Seemed to be a lot better than we remembered. The selections are always fresh, extremely flavourful, abundant and very well presented. The Don Pablo Buffet, Jazmin is a lot more quiet, less populated but probably far better than Orchedia, and Jazmin is Adults Only. Beautifully presented, excellent flavours complimenting one another and just enough to make you very satisfied without being stuffed POOLS / BEACH. Albeit the resort was full, there was never an issue finding loungers at the beach or pools, Again, the Don Pablo area, was a very relaxing, clean and tranquil rest. The activities allowed you to be as engaging as you wanted. The snorkelling is amazing out in the sea grasses by the ropes in the Sea. ROOMS: Quiet, comfortable and inviting. Pillows were a tad soft but are perfect for those who prefer that. There were six so we each had three which was sufficient. The TV remote needed fresh batteries and the toilet had an issue flushing, however once we mentioned these issues they were seen to and corrected incredibly quickly. Great customer service. STAFF: well not everything is perfect in a perfect world. The few Staff members who were above and beyond were first off, Gay-Ann at the Don Pablo pool bar, ( I hope I got her name right ), and Britney and Camaro, both our spectacular servers in Jazmin Buffet. I hope they stay there for a long time because they add to total customer satisfaction! However, that being said, MOST of the staff seemed to be bothered by any queries or requests. A lot as well would be hidden as soon as the tips stopped flowing. Sad to say but true. Other staff whose names we will not mention, and who we have got to admire over the last few years, were just plain RUDE. Again it seemed as we were troubling them. Too bad and not to worry, the few who stood out, put the other's service to shame. As well we wish to mention the spectacular entertainment shows. The Michael Jackson impersonation and His Crew were off the charts, along with Positive Vibrations Steel Drum Band. What great shows! We will be back for sure

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Jewel Runaway Bay

The resort was absolutely beautiful. The grounds were very well kept the rooms were clean but somewhat outdated. The food was fantastic and great friendly staff. We have a child with special needs and Frederick the chef made our vacation stress free when it came to food for him. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Staff is very friendly and the entertainment team was awesome.

The hotel it self was not happy about I had so many leeks outside my room with 8 large buckets to catch the water. The ceiling had just fallen, had these large opening due to water leakage was the afraid that one day it would fall on us. There was such bad mildew smell got into my clothes and could not get rid of. Changed our room twice at that points things were not getting better I just wanted to enjoy the trip.. place needs a make over.

Royalton Negril Resort And Spa: Fantastic new Resort!

The resort is well layout, the grounds well kept. The entire resort faced the ocean so where you sit whether in main lobby or coffee cafe or sports bar balcony and outside seating at restaurants you can see the beautiful blue ocean.
