Grand Decameron Panama: Wonderful resort

We had a great time at this resort. The rooms were nice &cleaned everyday. The grounds , pool & beaches were also cleaned on a daily basis. Lots of walking on The resort. The food was very good. The service from the employees were excellent. The resort is very close to the ocean. Only problem was for meals you never knew which place to go. No posting of meals but you can book a la carte. We went to 2 a la carte and they were great. We found it was too expensive for the resort but otherwise loved [... read more] it. We prefer Cuba.

Decameron La Marina: Nice, small resort

Clean, friendly staff but not many staff, including front desk staff, were not speaking English. Easy access to all areas - pool, beach, restaurant Limited availability for a la carte restaurants Variety of activities, yet hard to participate if not understanding Spanish

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Still a great place to enjoy!

This resort is such a wonderful complex. Many pools including a quiet one for seniors, lots of beach chairs on the beach and at the pool and the restaurants are excellent. We have been there 5 times and never disappoints. After covid they have improved some processes such as towel return and online restaurant reservations. Only one reception desk was open but it was sufficient.

The Royal Decameron Complex is an excellent resort. It’s not a five star but is affordable, beautiful surroundings, it’s kept clean, the rooms are clean, the food is great, if you want a change there are many surrounding restaurants available, there is volleyball, tennis and cycling and the entertainment is every evening. We’ve been going for many years and are planning to go again next year.

perfect example of an older 4 star Mexican hotel kept in good condition, food was great, 6 a la carte restaurants and 2 large buffet as well as other smaller restaurants serving breakfast and mid day snacks. 5 pools, an adult pool, an activity pool and the others are a mix of people, directly on a beautiful long beach ( maybe 5 miles long) but murky water with powerful waves. good nightly entertainment and a disco. Never food or drink shortage, closed to grocery stores and Walmart should you need to buy things. the town of Bucerias is very lively and within walking distance. A casino is nearby, Mexican market for souvenirs. The hotel still use old fashion keys which should be replaced with electronic cards, same for the free safety deposit box.

Decameron Isla Coral: Noise

This hotel is about 1 hour outside Vallarta and in a different time zone! There was no one who spoke English there when we arrived. Blasting music with full Bass from 9am to 11pm. No shuttle, No Alacarte

2nd time visiting the Royal Decameron. Safe to say we would consider a 3 rd trip Staff are wonderful and the grounds are beautiful. Walking distance to Bucerias! Room rates are affordable. This is not a 5 star so don’t expect it to be. It’s not fancy. Very laid back. We spent the majority of our time at the adults pool. It was a pain in the arse to get up and walk to the lobby and book by 8:00 am every single day We were pretty lucky. Some not so much :( what if you didn’t own a device? Very sad. Wifi needs to be in ALL rooms. A really nice assortment of all ages here. Smoking wasn’t too big of a problem but this resort should consider smoking sections but not at pool side! Gross. The Buffets were okay. My favourite was breakfast or lunches. This resort is large. We got lots of exercise! There is no pool side service here which we’re used to but we survived We would recommend this resort. Some staff wearing masks. Some guests too. It’s really nice to see this resort operating at almost full capacity since everything was shut down for so long. It was wonderful to be back. Tip.. Bring lots of 20 & 50 dollar pesos for tipping. It’s challenging getting larger bills broken down. The staff greatly appreciate you.

Grand Decameron Panama: Excellent time!

We had a great 11 days at the resort. The buffet food is great, the alacartes were excellent. The weather averaged 33 degrees. The rooms were clean and cool with a/c. Well kept grounds and beaches and the staff was very friendly. We were only 10 mins from the airport. Will definitely go back!

Decameron La Marina: Sunny vacation

Resort was decent value for the money and most staff were good and assisted when they could with the exception of older male at front desk. He was rude and not helpful. Recommend that front desk staff be fluent in English to assist visitors.

Grand Decameron Panama: Beautiful Resort

The resort grounds were beautiful with amazing large mature trees and flowers and they were all very well maintained. All staff were very friendly, saying hello anytime you walked by. The bar staff were quick and friendly, even when they were busy! The beer tent on the beach is a fantastic idea to take the pressure off the bartenders for people who just want beer and great for people who just want beer to not have to stand in line at the bar. The food was acceptable with a great salad bar and wonderful fruit selection. There was always plenty to choose from and none of our group (15) went hungry. The beach was great with lots of loungers. It was such a long beach it was great to walk it every day. The sand was a little coarse but felt kind of good on the feet. If there weren't so many other places in the world to visit I would definitely return to this resort.

I love this resort because of the staff, they are cheerful and friendly. The many pools, the many restaurants, the ocean and beach and that you can walk for miles either way. They keep things very clean. i also love the rich colours of the buildings! The wifi could be better!

Grand Muthu Runaway Bay Club Caribbean: Nice Resort

Arrived late afternoon and brought promptly to our hut (Gardenview). Was nice, clean but nothing like the pictures. 4 holes in the roof, comfortable king bed, AC worked well. Hot water was not available 2 days out of 10, no fridge in the room (they are listed as standard in every room). We asked for one but it never arrived. For reference, we saw other guests beachfront huts and also the suites which were very nice. The Snack Shack (Beach restaurant) made the best burgers! We had the Caribbean A la Carte one night, and the steak was the best I've had in years. Good Breakfast choices, and plenty of fresh fruits and veggies at all meals. Beaches were very nice, sort of a beach for every mood. The far end always had something fun going on as did the main pool area. Games, Bingo, dancing, Welcome show with a phenomenal saxophone player one day. It was very windy most days which made swimming or snorkeling challenging, but kept you from sweltering. The nightly shows were awesome! A magician enthralled the crowds one night, singers, dancers, contests. Perfect end to the day. The entertainers did a great job, they would engage you or leave you alone - they read people pretty well. The bars were all really great - however they did run out of beer 3 times to the chagrin of some of the beer-only drinkers. They would whip up any type of cocktail you asked for. The Jetty bar was a fun place with every 2nd seat as a swing at the bar. We did not do any excursions - the prices were all in US dollars and seemed very expensive. If you ventured off the resort, there was a gauntlet of private taxi drivers and "party organizers" trying to sell you even more expensive private tours. Found that if you left the resort before 9AM you could avoid them. Let me stress this was our first time in Jamaica so we were learning the ropes. It was an awesome, wonderful vacation and we have a lot to learn about this beautiful island.

this was such a beautiful place we had a ground floor ocean view and it was perfect the housekeeping staff was amazing and courteous the food was great especially at the a la carts (although the one was always booked up and there seemed to be preference given to guests that had been there before or were regulars ) I also found that the entertainment staff was not as engaging with guest with children and we were never aware of anything that seemed to be going on but that being said the r [... read more]esort its self was kid friendly and lots for them to do but on a whole we had a great vacation and would recommend this place

Grand Decameron Panama: More like a cuba 4*

Room was outdated and barely functional. No lock sliding door, poorly working air conditioner, cold water, no drinks in fridge, lamp didn’t work properly the one that was there, and wifi didn’t work in rooms as stated. I’ve been to a lot of resorts and this one was lacking in staff and customer service. They had a lot of rules not stated anywhere that felt like they were making things up and manipulating guests…not only my crew that experienced. I feel the staff are disgruntled and lack  [... read more]personality except for a handful here and there and may be affected by bad management as a run in w management would make me feel this way. I think the resort is too big for the amenities they have including far too few chairs around the pools. Communication was difficult as w many resorts but this one was worse still. On the bright side, the food was mostly good, at least, good food wasn’t hard to find. Also, the beach and pool were nice if you could find a chair getting up at 6am (as long as management didn’t take your towels away). And the weather was great. When you get down to it, that’s the reason I’m there and to learn a little about the area which I was able to do with excursions off resort.

Decameron Baru Beach Resort and Spa: What a great experience!

This resort was fantastic! It had all of the amenities we were looking for. The beach, the pools and grounds were beautiful. The food was great. Breakfast was our favourite. I would definitely recommend this resort. Our one week stay was over much too soon.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Sun and sand make for a great vacation.

This hotel was perfect for a getaway. Great food and clean property. Very friendly staff that will go out of their way to make your stay a memorable one. The only draw back was the lack of bathing towels in the room. Usually, there were none left after the room was cleaned. We had to call down to request them and even then, it took a bit of time for them to be delivered to the room.

This was the first time here and we were very impressed.The grounds were immaculate and the staff very friendly.The food was good and they had an amazing salad bar every lunch..and fresh and raw veg at suppers.There was always a theme night with different choices of meat entrées.The fish was great.The shows were very professional. Decameron Los Cocos Guayabitos Ramada: Not impressed

When we arrived they said they did not have our reservation. So we gave them our paperwork, which they did not return that had our flight tickets attached. It took an hour or more for them to assign us a room, and then the reservation said 4 days which should have been 8 days. We had to be out of our room by noon on check out day even though the bus did not pick up until 2 pm. Staff that did speak English were pretty good but they’re were not many.

After a 3 year hiatus, we returned to the Royal Decameron Complex for a much needed vacation. The resort was much the same as when we last stayed. The grounds are well maintained, it is very clean and the staff are friendly. The rooms could use an upgrade, particularly the beds that are very hard. The water pressure and temperature was good, we stayed in block 6 and enjoyed hot showers every day. The food is decent, buffet style so lots of choices. Though not a 5 star resort, the Royal Decameron [... read more] Complex is a lovely vacation spot on the beach and close to all the amenities in Bucerias.

Staff were all so amazing, grounds were well maintained, pool area, restaurants, beach areas were always being cleaned. Very Mexican and quaint. We will return for sure as this location is perfect, can walk into town via street or beach safely
