Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Good little resort

We were at Sunscape Sabor for two weeks and enjoyed the smaller resort experience. It is older and does not have the sleeker feel of newer resorts. The biggest plus for this resort is the staff – all were extremely helpful and pleasant. The rooms are very clean and the beds are comfortable. Good curtains to keep out the light too. The bathroom could use an upgrade but was clean and tidy and there was plenty of hot water and towels. The air conditioning worked well and the room had a safe, f [... read more]ridge (filled with water and soft drinks), coffee maker, and a TV with a variety of channels. The walkways around the resort are winding and have steps and ramps so they may not be easy for someone with mobility/balance issues. The pools were clean and beach towels were available at your convenience (no chits required). We enjoyed the buffet restaurant for breakfast and most lunches. We also tried the Mexican, Italian, and Grill and all had a nice selection of tasty food. The beach is small, so chairs are closer together than on larger resorts, but there was usually no problem in finding a chair by the beach, or by the pool. There are also hammocks dotted around the length of the beachfront. Swimming off the beach is ok (saw lots of fish) but beach shoes are handy as the water is very shallow and there are lots of rocks and coral underfoot. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Only downside for us were the people who played their boomboxes at the beach and pool without using earbuds (we were not as pleased with their music selections as they were)!

Sunscape Sabor Cozumel: Great Diving Great People Good Resort

We had a Pool view Suite room 3623, room was large and very comfortable. The restaurants where good, we liked the Italian and the Mexican always found something to eat. I think the food is the weakest point of the resort as the buffet is small. The beach is nice white sand but it stops at the water, then the reef starts you will need water shoes or very good sandals to get in the water very rocky. For us this was not a set back as the reef is protected so they can't add sand, the diving and [... read more] snorkeling is great. This was our fourth time to the Sunscape Sabor - Secrets resort. The people are the main reason we return to Sunscape Sabor, Victoria (beach service) is the best always made sure my beer was full after a couple of morning dives. Like everything in life you get what you pay for if you want a higher end stay, then stay at the Secrets. If you want good value for your money and you are vacationing to dive and snorkel then stay at the Sunscape Sabor. We will be returning for sure!!

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Resort was ok

Should improve service for internet connection in the room lobby very hard to connect. Food was not good too salted and should not repeat the same food everyday more fruits7 days no shrimp at all more bbq foods

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Five Star Resort!

This resort was exceptionally clean with very friendly staff and excellent restaurants and a very exceptional buffet. The pools were pretty but had a lot of steps and planters for decoration where you had to be careful not to trip or scratch yourself on the concrete. The rooms were lovely and large with clean, modern bathrooms. The resort is right on the ocean and the snorkeling was excellent. The staff had good entertainment that was different each night of our 7 day stay. I would definitely recommend this family resort to anyone.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Awesome beach!

We were very happy with the resort. Rooms were clean as was the entire resort. Beautifully kept grounds. The beach was the best, you could walk for miles in both directions. The vendors on the beach were relentless which was annoying. Also the chair vultures which made finding a place to sit difficult if you didn't get there really early in the morning. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Amazing snorkeling

Spacious rooms, great snorkeling. Friendly staff. My son lost his sunglasses and book at the beach and was great full when they were returned to him the next day. Could use some new beach chairs. Great cocktails.

The Sens Riviera: This resort rocks!!!

Don’t hesitate! Book today!! This resort is everything and more! We upgraded to the sun club and were blown away! The staff was so accommodating and friendly. The resort was clean, inviting and better than we could ever imagine. The food was another story. It was very fresh and exceptionally prepared and presented. Very high end quality overall!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Nice Place

The resort is in a good area with a nice beach. Some minor cosmetic work would be useful. All the staff are very good but it's obvious they could use a lot more staff. Wait times for drinks at the bar or service in the restaurants can be long so you have to be patient. The local bus stop right in front of the resort is handy for going into town and back. Short walk to Mambo Beach.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great vacation

The resort was a average resort giving it a 3.5 The beach was good with great snorkeling right on site just a swim out from shore. The food was good but buffet was to be desired as most of the time the food was not much more than warm. The restaurants were much better to eat at. The entertainment was poor. Daily activities were offered but most people did not participate. It is a kid friendly resort with kids activities. Room was large and fairly modern. Sunscape Curacao Resort: Beautiful Country

All 8 in our group Absolutely loved Sunscape! If you are looking for a fancy, ‘wow’ resort then this place is not for you. If you are looking for cleanliness, excellent food, friendly service and a beautiful beach then look no further. Loved that there was amazing snorkeling right at the resort beach, loved that no one harassed you to buy this or that and the a la carte restaurants were sooo good with top notch food. This is a smalle [... read more]r resort which made it feel more cozy and homey and was in a great location. 20 min from airport, 10 min from downtown. Walking distance to the famous ‘Mambo Beach’ and the aquarium. I would go back in a heartbeat! I have travelled extensively throughout the Caribbean and this was excellent value.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Loved my stay!

Although the resort is not new, the rooms, public area, etc. Were very clean. The a la carte food was very good. The buffet breakfast was great but the other buffet meals were lukewarm. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The resort is a safe place and my sister and I felt very at ease.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: 7th visit!

Beautiful grounds. Friendly staff. Love the beach in this area. We get the suite everytime. Love having breakfast with Norberto and crew. After dinner drinks with Luis. All the staff are wonderful. We like that it is 15 minutes from airport.

Sunscape Puerto Plata: Excellent vacation destination in the Dominican Republic

Excellent resort with very friendly staff.Excellent buffet with a varied selection of food plus 3 other restaurants offering Asian,Italian and Argentinian menus.Pool and beach bars for great lunches and snacks and drinks. 2 pools and a great beach.Can not stress how wonderful and helpful the staff are at this resort!

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great stay

Hotel was clean and though a little older it was well maintained. Staff was friendly and professional. Nice beach and great snorkeling. Entertainment could have been a little better. We had a great family vacation. Relaxing as you want it to be, but there is stuff to do if you want some adventure. Would definitely go back.

Sunscape Dorado Pacifico: Not the best

This hotel is over priced. The rooms are ok but many had plumbing issues. The food is mediocre and there is not much selection. Pools are nice but very limited chairs so you have to get up early to reserve. Street location is very good! Close to markets and shops and very good restaurants.

The Sens Riviera: great vacation

The hotel itself is definately not new. it is however clean. staff are great . service excellent and minimal wait times at the resaurants despite soe of the other reviews. the beach is amazing and many beautiful pools. food is average. We travelled with kids who loved the kids club and dinoland. would go again

Jan. 7, 2020, Grandma, mom, and two children stayed at the Sunscape Akumal spa and resort for a wonderful week...I have no idea why this resort is getting so many poor reviews...we had a sun club room with a balcony overlooking the pool, and had no complaints....until the third day there was a bathroom issue in the suite...after reporting it, the manager escorted us to a new room......the presidential suite..he sent a bottle of Champaign to our room and special treats for the kids as well as cho [... read more]colate covered strawberries for all, and upon the last day checkout is 12 noon, and he told us just to stay as late as we needed. The beach was beautiful, green, clean and full of beautiful tropical fish..dinosaur land was great for the kids and they loved going to kids club...plenty of food, and drinks, I think this is one of the most kid friendly resorts I have been to even prior to the room upgrade

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Great Vacation!

Overall we had a great time at the Sunscape in Curacao. The resort has a tower section with newer and updated rooms but there are also older sections and the rooms are in need of some updating. The beach is private which is very nice and there was a lot of room for everyone. The fish are beautiful and swim right up to the shallow water but lots to see near the rocks. Food was amazing. Reservations were not needed at most restaurants other than the Japanese restaurant which is a MUST. All of our meals were very good and above average for sure. There were plenty of beach bars but we found the best one to be the Oceana Bar throughout the day. Kenneth was the bartender everyday and he is outstanding. Overall with some updating of rooms this can be a top end resort but we had a great time. Curacao is a beautiful island and the people are very warm.
