Great Resort!

This was my second time at the Riu Paradise Island and I will definitely be going back. It is a small resort with all the amenities needed and is easy walking distance to shopping & Atlantis. The RIU is very clean with good food and nice & helpful staff. We did the Grill a la carte which was fantastic and the Japanese which was also very good. The buffet was plentiful with a good variety. Our room was comfy, clean and had a lovely with a great view. Cant wait to go back.

Beautiful place to visit

This is an outdated hotel but it is still a beautiful place to visit. The beaches were clean and charming but unfortunately for us when we went it was very windy which meant that the red flags were up so we were not able to go into the water. The food was good and the view in our room on the 15th floor was a perfect combination of the pool below and the ocean on the right. I would definitely go back with the hopes of a bit better weather.

Riu Palace

I traveled to the Riu in the first week on November 2014. I really enjoyed my stay the workers are extremely nice and polite! The nightly entertainment could be improved-not the best for a riu resort. Food was amazing and everything was clean!

Great Stay

The staff are extremely friendly and prompt to answer requests and help whenever asked. The food is good, especially at the a la carte restaurants. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location is perfect. The beach and water is beautiful and a short walk to quieter beach areas.

The beach vacation we were looking for!

We upgraded our room at a cost when we got there because although the room was great, the view was basically of the rooftop below, blah! So we got an ocean view room that, as a room was a bit of a step down but was still pretty good. It has everything you need! The food is fantastic and the staff is pretty good. One thing to prepare yourself for here is the local people on the beach and the taxi drivers out in front of the hotel CONSTANTLY looking for customers. Amazing resort

My husband and I went here for our honeymoon and we couldn't have picked a better place. We stayed in the ocean view suite and the views were spectacular! Our room was beautiful and spacious! The only complaint I have is that there were issues with the hot water tank; however we figured out that if we showered at night we always had hot water, morning so much. The food was fantastic! Awesome stay and great Value

went Sept.18 for 4 days at the Riu bahamas. Oceanfront room was fantastic. Great view of the clear sparkling ocean.. There was a musty smell in room but it is a tropical island so turn a/c off and open patio door and it's gone. Buffet was excellent and good variety. Drinks were not watered down. Staff were friendly. Pool was ok but why would you go to the pool when the beach is paradise. Only downfall for me was having to pay $25 for beach umbrellas. Please Change name of resort to just Riu

I have been to four different Riu palaces six different times. My parents are Riu diamond card members. This hotel is not a palace nor should it be. It's a feeder hotel to the Atlantis hotel. Which is fine but not why I went to the Bahamas. I went to relax and enjoy Riu palace hospitality and Serves which I didn't find at all

Clean, Relaxing, great food

Great hotel, the staff are great. Extremely clean hotel, cleaning staff always cleaning. Rooms are big & clean. They do need more bartenders it took fair ever to get a drink. Beach is nice, cool, wavy, and tons of fish swimming by you. Don't rent the umbrellas on the beach, they do not belong to the hotel it's by locals and the charge $25 USD for one umbrella and 2 chairs just sit by the pool and walk down. Atlantis right beside you through the hotel to gamble and see the marina.

Great Time

Food was excellent, our room was good. The resort was clean and the beach excellent. Right next to Atlantis which was good. Were able to go the Aquarium easily. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

Very Nice

We enjoyed our stay at the Riu, location was great as it is right beside Atlantis so walking distance for evening walks. No shortage of food with all of variety, everything was very tasty. Rooms and Lobby were very clean. Bed was very comfortable

Nice place, needs face lift

Overall good experience, good service and staff is welcoming. Rooms need a face lift, water was not coming up often (we where staying on the last floor) it was a problematic to take a shower or flush a toilet at pick time. Elevator to the last floor you have to wait and wait....Does are the only minuses. Food was delicious, great choices, restaurants where open long hours. Good resort

The first night of my visit I woke up to dirty tap water running from the taps, apparently the hotel was conducting work on the pipes, after I reported it they sent up a maintenance guy who couldn't get the water to run clear so they exchanged my room. The hotel grounds was rather small but the beach and food was good. The room was modern and the staff friendly. I had an overall good experience there.

Amazing resort!

The Riu Paradise Island was all we expected and more. The food as amazing, the beach was beautiful, and the service was friendly. Being able to walk next door to check out the Paradise Island Atlantis resort was cool too. We saw Michael Douglas at the marina there!

Great Resort

The food in the Bahamas was the best we've ever had including this resort. Everything was great except the beach had an undertone so probably shouldn't use....pool was nice but not overly large....Overall, not a bad resort but next time would maybe go to Cable beach area to stay because we do like to go into the ocean.

Friendly, beautiful resort! Great staff!

We went for 3 nights in Feburary at RIU Paradise Island, and it was perfect. The food was mind-blowing. The beach gorgeous. Location was so safe and easy to navigate from. I would love to go again and probably will in the future. The staff was wonderful. The stingrays swimming up and down the beach out front out last day was an awesome surprise too!

Kick back and just relax

LOVE this location, this is my fourth time vacationing here. Food is fantastic, staff always ready to help and professional, very clean and the beach is stunning. Great getaway to rest and relax without a worry.
