Beautiful Beach!

We stayed at Breezes Varadero in July of 2015. The rooms at this resort are in need of upgrading, however, they are clean and well maintained. More importantly, air conditioning in Cuba in July is a must, and our air conditioner in our room always provided us the needed break from the heat. Our sons' bought baseball gloves and there was ample room on the beach to throw the ball without getting in anyones way. The Food - this was my first trip to Cuba and I read several reviews about the food at the resorts not being very good, I hate to tell you this, but it is true. At the resort's the food is not very good, however, if you book a reservation at one of their a lacarte restaurants, the food is much better. Also, Breezes is only a few kms from the town of Varadero, and the food at the local restaurant's is quite good.....well worth the trip. There is a nightclub called The Beatles. The club is outdoors and has live music. The band we saw was really good, we had a lot of fun. My husband and I travelled with our two sons, 21 and 24 years of age, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The WestJet staff was very helpful setting up our tours. A trip to Havana is a must, it was well worth booking the overnight tour. Some people at the resort negotiated a day rate with the taxi drivers, this is something we will do next time we go.

Beautiful Resort!

Nice areas , beautiful vegetation and views, clean , nice attention . Food poor quality except for the fruits. Exceptional beaches and everybody so friendly. Excellent attention from the plain as well and all really well organized. No mayor complains at all.

The Beach Was Awesome

The hotel and resort itself was very nice, clean and well kept. The room was beautiful the air condition worked well. We stayed in a suite but it was well worth it, very spacious. I am a female and I was very happy with my room lol. As a young couple it was pretty quiet, there wasn't much nightly entertainment. Nobody attended the disco at night and the entertainment was not that good. Resort Nice But Starved - Do not go to this resort

Resort was well maintained and nice. Beds where uncomfortable but most important the food was disgusting, unpalatable and unhygienic. We starved and had to go out via taxi there and back to eat every meal but one. As such this cost us another $100.00 a day for two people. Thought that with a 4.5 star hotel the food would be tolerable

Amazing resort

I thought the resort was well taken care of people are very friendly, food is also great! They make the best drinks! The people go out of there way to help you feel at home! But most of all the beach was just breath taking! Loved everything about it!!

Amazing time

I had a great time at Breezes Varadero. This was my first trip to Cuba and I was not disappointed overall. The check in process was smootly, I did not like the bag person because since we did not have luggage he wasnt corteous to us and wouldn't assist in where the rooms were located. I went alone and met fantastic people on the resort and even on the bus ride to the resort. My room was great I had room 638 and it was magnificent. Wow, spectacular

We loved everything about this place. The place itself; rooms were awesome, restaurants are great, bars (what a blast!) and the beaches. Who could not forget what they saw on the beach... Really, really awesome place!

Great beach and staff

Enjoyed the beach. Rooms a little dated. Restaurants nice buffet so so. Friendly staff. Pool show best. Piano bar a highlight. Havana a must see and also the jeep ride was fun. Overall what we were expecting.

Loved it

Rooms were good furniture was ok the dresser was very old but it's ok I wish I had coffee in my room every day but the ladies that took care of my room they made it up at the end. The only thing about the restaurant was too hot couldn't stay too long even to watch the shows it was too hot Amazing shows.

Amazing beach, great holiday, great resort

The beach is like no other beach in Varadero. The resort is great too but the only negative side is that the lobby and the buffet room are not air conditioned. It is very easy to see black birds picking on food or standing on food. Or flies on food. We would go again to this awesome resort but maybe not in June, because June is their rain season and rain brought the mosquitos out and was their breeding time. We loved our stay, our room was gorgeous with great ocean view, two bathrooms and living room. The ladies at the reception were great, also Miguel was very helpful by the reception. Thanks Trip Central for providing us with a great site to be able to narrow down our choices and find the resort and price and information we needed. Food also was great, we had fresh caught fish every day. I think the food was awesome for healthy eating, lots of veggie choices and their mangos are to die for.. We will go to Breezes Varadero again for sure.

Hotel with a Beautiful Beach

The hotel is clean, with a nice pool and a beautiful beach. Staff are generally curtious with good manner. Landscaping is great with lots of shades under the bright sunlight. Lots of fresh fruits available at the buffet restaurant and free drinks can be obtined around the pool, near the beach and in many locations along the paths around the hotel. I love the coffee at the coffee bar.

Great resort!

We recently went to Breezes Varadero on June 6-13th . It's a great place , very clean and everyone so friendly. Lobster night on Fridays, all you can eat!! So yummy! Rooms very big. Snack bar, towel hut and bar all easy to get to and beaches all well maintained.Lots of chairs available. Wide range of ages from young people to 60 something! Lol This was our second time to this resort and was not disappointed.The food is actually pretty good. Their bread is so melt in your mouth fresh. I would recommend this resort to anyone not sure about Cuba or has reservations about the island. Probably one of thebest affordable resort! Great Resort!

Absolutely great resort, especially for the price! The beach is absolutely beautiful, in true Cuban form, food was great, bevy's where great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The pool was OK, not much atmosphere. The rooms could use a little TLC but they are clean and comfortable. Over all I had a wonderful time at Breezer Veradero and I'm sure a return visit will be in my future.

Okay resort

The hotel overall was found to be a place fo4 older crowds. My boyfriend & I were both under the age of 25 & found it hard to enjoy our time there. The recreation activities shut down very early which was dissapointig. The food was okay but the food times were not. Overall the resort was clean and well kept.

Beautiful resort, amazing people

I just got back last week from a fantastic trip to Breezes Veradero. This resort was by far one of the best I have stayed at in Veradero and I very much look forward to going back in March 2016. The people where fantastic, the grounds where very well maintained and the service was remarkable. our rooms where cleaned daily. We had a slight problem with our A/C the first night stay, and when we brought it to their attention they had someone come in and try and fix it within 10 mins, Unfort. it cou [... read more]ld not be fixed at that time so they placed us in another room of our choice no questions. they where very accommodating. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Would not go back

My friend and I were looking for a resort that had entertainment, decent food, somewhat busy with guests and overall an enjoyable place to stay at. We did not have any of that so we decided to call sunwing and switch hotels and ended up staying at Iberostar Laguna Azul which was amazing!!!! Definitely a hotel to stay at with lots of entertainment, the crowd was amazing, lots of variety when it came to food and overall an unforgettable experience! Breezes varadero had only one pool to choose from [... read more], no swim up bar, no beach entertainment and the selection of food was limited. I would only suggest the hotel if you want something extremely quiet. My friend and I have been to Cuba many many times and never had this issue to switch hotels. We actually heard of a few people switching from their hotels that week due to bad maintenance service, food etc.

Stunning resort

I went with low expectations and was blown away with the beauty, the kindness, the entire experience with Breezes I cannot wait to return and bring my husband along to see exactly what I've been raving about since returning!

To our liking!

-We just returned from an awesome week at the Breezs Varadero. -The grounds are just beautiful, and well maintained. -The food was very good for example the Friday evening gala with lobster tails, shrimp, crab legs etc. The Italian à la carte was not only a super ambiance but very good food. The fish was good very day in the buffet. -The beach was awesome with lounge chairs and plenty of shade for everyone. On the other hand the bathroom in the reception lobby was super clean,with all nescescities present. -We would return to his resort with no worries!

Beautiful Resort, Amazingly Friendly Staff

The hotel was clean in all areas. The rooms are spacious and we'll laid out. The staff are friendly and welcoming with the exception of one man in the dining hall. The a la carts were amazing. I would pick all three at the majhito if I could. Plenty of food selections but the buffet could be changed up a little bit more. I would definitely come back. It was a great experience. My biggest complaint is the air conditioning. We changed rooms twice because of the air conditioning not working. Before [... read more] we moved to the second room we checked the a/c only to find out it did not work. Then maintenance came and "fixed" it so we took the room and had to be call ed back to fix our toilet. It was still broken. All 7 days we stayed in rooms with no a/c. I think the whole block f was like that. They were moving other people for the same reason. After we were in the second room for a few hours. I was in the washroom and could hear people. I opened the bathroom door to strangers in out room. Their air conditioner or toilet did not work so they were moving them to our room. It was a mistake made by the front desk. I know it may sound like a horrible experience but really it was a great time and I would do it again. If there was 2 things I would change at the resourt it would be fix the a/c and add a/c to the main dining hall. With our a/c not working and no areas using a/c except 2 a la cart restaurants, we had no place to hide from.the heat.

4th. time back and two weeks this time!

Obviously if we keep going back we like the resort but I also appreciate the fact that they are always improving. I noticed the food improved once again over last year and the entertainment was much better. This on top of an already solid standard of service.
