Bad beaches

The hotel stuff we're not friendly at all, the room was not so good but tolerable, the door keep getting stuck, and even though we complained, they never went to fix it and the bath tub was disgusting but since we take a shower, we didn't care, but we were sandals when taking a shower, just in case. The food wasn't that bad but boring everyday of the whole week. A lacarte, not so bad but not excellent, the pools weren't so cleaned but ok. A lot of entertainment every night until late. My son got sick with diarrhea and nausea almost the whole week so take some medication for that just in case, cause I heard a lot of people were getting sick, could be because of the food, I am not sure but wanted to share that we you

Everything I expected and more!

The Be Live Grand Punta Cana is exactly what one should expect from a vacation resort especially for the price. If you want to spend another $500+ you could get a resort you might find more modern or with better upkeep, etc. but I'm not sure it would have everything the Be Live has to offer. While the adults only package wasn't quite what we were expecting, the upgrade was well worth it in the end. Lots of food choices meant that even a picky eater could manage to find things they liked.

Worst stay ever!!!!

My husband and i have been staying at this same resort for the past 3 years, never a problem.....till this trip!. The manager at the front desk was very rude, she was snotty and rolled her eyes. The first 2 rooms we stayed in had broken air conditioning ( she said that building was under construction). I asked her why would you check us in a place that you knew was under construction? Her answer....i don't know, can you believe that! So we finally get a room on the first floor with a working air [... read more] conditioner, meanwhile the room stunk! That's why we always choose the 3rd floor..but they stuck us on the 1st. The bar service was great. The food was good, but unfortunately i ended my trip with food poisoning. My very last night was over the toilet throwing up...not to mention others things. To sum it all up, we will not be returning to Be Live Collections Punta Cana.

No Complaints Here!

I went to Be Live with my boyfriend (we are in our mid 20's), we went for a week and we got back mid April 2015. We went in with an open mind as there were some poor reviews and ratings on the site, however I must say we were more than impressed with the resort over all; our room was modern and clean, the staff was friendly and helpful and spoke good English, Drinks were delicious and there was a lot of variety, food was good with also a lot of variety. The activity staff was very entertaining, and there was always a lot going on activity wise. Our favorites were a foam party in the pool on afternoon, and evening beach party. The atmosphere was nice, and there was a good mix of people, young party goers, to couples, and families. I don't understand how people can have a horrible time in paradise; you can’t expect anyone to truly make your experience for you. The resort does not say it’s a 5 star and you’re not paying for a 5 star. So go with an open mind, and expect hot sun and fun... just enjoy!

Amazing resort

It was best resort ataff was very friendly even out of resort it is very safe country and city the language spanish pool music daily activities nevwr feel bored i will go to this resort again amazing its worth what u pay

Great time great resort!

We had so much fun at Belive! Food was great and never a shortage! Lots of activities and the shows were amazing and entertaining. The room we stayed in wasnt one of the updated ones but everything worked and was very clean. Who spends all their time in there anyway!? The new ones i did see looked really nice and they are working on doing them all. Food was really good buffet and restaurants. The only one i tried that i wouldnt recommend is the Brazilian. But if you get past the main part it is clear or if you go for a walk down the beach its also nice and clear. There are vendors there twice a week and they have lots of pretty stuff just offer a quarter of what they are asking and they will come close to that. They are pretty pushy so dont touch anything unless you are interested in it lol. There are sooo many pools!! The main pool is where the swim up bar is and there are lots of others to choose from should you want a quieter atmosphere. He grounds are well kept and very clean! People come with animals to take pictures with which is fun ao i got to hold parrots and monkeys which was awesome! I didnt bother buying the pics. Other than that you are in paradise!!! Stop complaining and enjoy yourself people! Just dont drink too much mama jana or coconut drinks! In general these are used to "clear you out" so dont drink more than a few a day or you will end up in the bathroom! Has nothing to do with the resort they just help with constipation! The Best Entertainment Team

The hotel grounds were beautiful. The food at this resort was delicious. My favorite a la carta restaurant was the Brazilian one. My favourite part was all the fun activities they had during the day. I got to do a lot of things I've always wanted to do like go to a foam party and try a wipe out obstacle course. The only down side to this resort is the beach. We had 7 days of sunshine it only rained the first night we arrived.

Place for entertainment

Just wished if the mattress and the pillow were of better quality and comfort.. food was good but if there was more option for sea food. I would definitely visited again with my family and friends..perhaps next april

Amazing

I was with my friends and we enjoyed everything there . Especially the animation team was amazing . And the food was so good. I liked it very much and i will recommend the hotel also to my friends . Xx

It was ok

It was an ok place to stay. I'm not one to complain but everything added up. Ac/fridge and tv did not work and no one came when we called. Food was garbage and beach wasn't cleaned in the morning seaweed everywhere! The pool was always dirty! Would not stay there again!

Decent stay

The resort overall was nice. The pool areas are pretty good. The main bar doesn't leave anything to be desired but the bar by the secondary pool area by the gym had amazing service by Nicolas. The Japanese restaurant does not serve a la carte, there is only one option and it is not Japanese fare. The buffet was actually pretty good.

Awesome time

The Grounds were very nice and the the staff was awesome in terms of service during dinner or for drinks, awesome ambience and something for everyone to do. The beach was awesome. The entertainment was also spectacular!

Lovely and Relaxing

BeLive Punta Cana is a nice resort with plenty of activities if you are so inclined. I was not but really enjoyed the beach and the shade of palms and umbrellas. The food was quite good compared to other resorts I have stayed at. The basic room was very tired and a bit run down but VERY clean every day. My group did the zip line tour which was excellent. The free ride to Nicoles for shopping was a waste of time - don't bother. There is cheap souvenir shopping just outside the resort that in a gr [... read more]oup we felt safe doing. The upgraded rooms were definitely nicer than the basic rooms but not sure I would pay extra. All in all quite enjoyable for a cheap vacation.

AMAZING!!!

This was our first family vacation and we had an amazing time!! The hotel staff were excellent, the entertainment was incredible. There was always activities going on and fun to be had. Our 14 year old and 11 year old loved it so much, they want to go back next year. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great vacation!!

Amazing Place

Average Stay

The pool smelled like urine, the beach was full of seaweed - FULL! Close to the marina, so smelled like fuel and was loud. The buffet was great, the restaurants weren't! Average rooms, but they all had balcony space, which was nice. NO water pressure and mostly cold - which is standard for DR .

Nice resort for the most part

The food selection was good. Highlights were the Brazilian, Italian and Mexican restaurant; the gourmet was so-so but the Asian/Japanese was a let down. How can you possibly screw up seafood when your source is right in the backyard of your facility??? The vendors in the resort were annoying, i found the vendors right outside of the resort way better as they gave you room to check out their wares. There were lots of Europeans at the resort and i found many of them to be extremely rude not only t [... read more]o staff but to other guests as well. There were some awesome staff on site, the price of the 10 day plan was good hence why i would recommend this place again. The rooms were clean and decent. The pool bar tucked away by building 12, the bartenders there made the best mojitos! That particular bar was almost a secret, you gotta check it out!

Wonderful Trip

The hotel overall was in good condition - air conditioning worked, hot water in the showers, and food was good. The Be Live Resort is well maintained and has many pools. The beach was beautiful, although it is covered in seaweed - perhaps because its in a cove behind a breakwater. The staff were on the beach daily removing truck loads of seaweed, but you did need to wade through seaweed to swim in the ocean. The staff was very friendly. The Resort does a great job of entertaining people througho [... read more]ut the day, with activities every hour, and they hosted a Welcome Reception for Canadians. Sugar at the Kids Club was amazing - she came around the pool to recruit kids to join in activities such as soccer, darts, beachcombing, etc. and every night before the animation show, the kids all got certificates and prizes. This resort is only 20 minutes from the airport - close to golf courses and has on on site Casino.

THE RESORT WAS ALRIGHT. GOOD VARIETY OF FOOD AT THE BUFFET. THE A LA CARTE WERE NOT BAD, THE BEST BEING THE GOURMET. THE ROOMS NEED UPDATING & FIXING. ROOMS ARE ROUGH, HANDLES FALLING OFF DRAWERS, DRAWERS CANNOT CLOSE PROPERLY ETC. BEACH IS JUST PLAIN AWFUL. WAY TOOOO MUCH SEAWEED. STAFF IS GREAT & ENTERTAINTING. Beautiful resort !!!

I loved everything about the resort except the food. The VIP upgrade was a good decision as this gave us access to all bars which had premium liquor and to a snack bar and our own supply of towels.The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the staff (Ramiro and Irwin)in the VIP area. The resort had lots of fun activities. 0veral very good but there really needs to be improvement in the food category ! We ate lots of fruit !!!
