Melia Las Americas: Beautiful resort right on the beach

While the grounds and pools are very nice the rooms are outdated and old.Only 2 small elevetors and not working all the time.It wort to upgrade the stay at level side.The hotel is right on the beach and it's easy to get around. The food was ok.Since I prefer fish and sea food there is every day good selection. Drinks are ok.Service on the main bar was the best.Snack bar have burgers and sandwiches that were good. Sol Palmeras: Home away from Home ❤️

We LOVE Sol Palmeras and Cuba! Would go every month if we could ?. Staff are our friends, food is wonderful and plentiful, entertainment is great, ocean is amazing! No complaints whatsoever!! Thankyou ?❤️

Starfish Varadero: Great resort

The food isgood. The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean. I will return this is my 7th time. Pool was clean grounds are nice. Beautiful beach . BBQ near the beach is amazing. Lots of mixed drinks and good snacks at pool bar

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Laguna Azul

As you can see in the photos, grounds are beautiful and are well maintained. Hotel is a little older and renovations are ongoing. Staff is incredible. As soon as you walk in the lobby, you are met with smiles and Hola's. Food in Cuba is always a question people ask about and I always say, I have never come home weighing less than when I left home. W [... read more]as able to see in one of the suites this trip and it was something, basically two rooms, bedroom and living area. Great if you wanted to spend a lot of time indoors? Always lots of great entertainment. Been 4 times now and will return.

Playa Vista Azul: Great Cuba Premium Experience

Great Premium Experience – Worth the Upgrade! We stayed at Playa Vista Azul last week and I strongly recommend booking the premium package if you can. This review is based solely on our premium experience. The food exceeded my expectations for Cuba resort food, the service was fantastic, and the beach was beautiful. While it’s a bit of a walk to the beach, our oceanfront premium bungalows made it much more convenient — we were closer than most guests. The premium restaurant and service  [... read more]were excellent, thanks to Claudia and Doxana, who were absolutely amazing. The premium pool bar experience is also elevated when Senen is working — he’s incredibly warm and welcoming, and truly made a difference in our stay. A big thank you to our consignee, Amilcar, who helped us change rooms on Day 2. As for the à la carte restaurants, I especially enjoyed the Caribbean and Italian options. If you have allergies, be sure to inform your consignee — they’ll provide a printed note for you to place on your table. However, despite their efforts, there was some miscommunication between the servers and the kitchen, so I recommend double-checking your food to be safe. Now for the downside: we had to change rooms because our original bungalow had cockroaches — over an inch and half long. I also noticed them in the hotel bar area. While the staff explained this is common in the Caribbean, I’ve traveled to many islands and resorts and have never encountered this issue on a resort before. Overall, I would return to this resort — especially for the premium experience — but hopefully without the uninvited house guests.

Melia Varadero: Above average hotel

Layout of the hotel is good. The staff and the service are good. Food is below average. Beach is very good. No hot water for two days. Air condition gave trouble. The fixed it. No coffee machine. Only a kettle, with no coffee supply. The whole hotel has no black tea.

Blau Varadero: Amazing resort!

We returned to Blau Varadero after 20 years - beautiful resort with friendly staff, lots of food selection, clean grounds, sandy beach but you need patience waiting on the elevators but overall for the price - no complaints.

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice resort

We had an awesome week at Laguna azul. The most amazing part would be the staff, always smiling and go above and beyond. We spent a lot of our time on the beautiful sand beach. We would highly recommend this resort.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Starfish Quadra palmas

The resort was nice. The maid service was terrible,we had to hunt down maids for towels and toilet paper Put in complaints with the front desk,and with our west jet rep Still no service. In social areas someone was always cleaning but away from them no Our floor was never swept. Food ok ,staff ok.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Nice clean resort, great staff, stunning beach

Rooms are a little dated, starting to update. We had a bright clean room ,new TV was put in, has 110v plug in bathroom and beside one night table. No elevator, 3 floors only. Food was basic but satisfying, no beef available or shrimp, very quiet resort, small pool. In the heart of Varedaro.. central to bars, restaurants, grocery store. Would recommend. Stunning beach

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Very disappointing

The grounds were very unkept. Overgrown grass and un weeded at more than half the resort. Large holes and exposed pluming in the ground in multiple locations. With the smell of sewage through out. Buffet for dinner was only open one night a week. We were a party of 7 and the majority of the rooms had broken items. Broken beds. Safes don’t lock. Most were not very pleasant. The lady who cooked the eggs in the morning deserves a raise. The nicest and happiest person on that resort. I’d recommend a different resort..

Iberostar Origin Tainos: Used to be much better in the past.

The bungalow which we stayed was nice, and in general the resort was OK, but due to weather and maybe uncollected garbage outside of Varadero, mosquitoes were overwhelming. We kept on spraying ourselves with all kinds of insect repellents, but we noticed that the staff were also suffering. Also, the loud, incessant music at noon, when we tried to rest after lunch spoiled our stay. I won't bother to mention about shortage of vegetables or fruits. We did not expect much, and therefore were not disappointed regarding dinners. The best part of this resort were all of the staff. They tried their best to make our stay a pleasant one. If we ever go back, it will be because of the precious staff.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Amazing resort

It was very clean. The beaches were nice but lots of mosquitoes. Food was hit and miss as the supply was scarce. The people were friendly and always ready to help put but very laid back. They served same food everyday, basa fish, pork and chicken or pasta.

Overall El Patricicia hotel, the location, food , employees, rooms were second to none, I have already recommended friends to your establishment. Almost forgotten to add the hotel cleaners also done a great service by providing clean bedding, and keeping the bathroom areas in top shape.

Memories Jibacoa: Relaxing

This was my second time at this older, smaller type resort (about 30 years old) that has been kept in pretty good shape. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped with a decent TV and fridge. The room was nicely cleaned and the fridge stocked with water daily. The beds were quite comfortable with fairly new foam mattresses. I found the pool to be very clean. It is shallow, so no diving. The lobby, buffet and all other facilities were also to my liking. The Ranchero (table service) at lunch was also more than adequate in variety and quality. I found the staff to be very friendly and warm. Regarding the beach. It was beautiful and great for snorkeling as there are many reefs with vibrant fish near the beach. However, it is on the rocky side. Not at all like the soft, powdery white sand of Varadero. So take some water shoes. I had a very relaxing time overall. That's what I was looking for.

Loved this resort. The beach was granular and not very good for walking but still very nice. Richard and Mani at beach bar were excellent! Friendly and informative! Nice pool. The lobby was lovely. Bartenders nice and friendly. The food was good- you could always find something to eat even if picky eater. Would definitely go back

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Amazing resort

It’s a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the sun. If you go with an open mind and remember you’re in Cuba, you’ll have a great experience. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, modern resort with amazing views and good vibes.

I had a really nice stay at the Grand Aston Varadero! The resort is modern, beautiful, and very clean. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with great views and a relaxing atmosphere. The pool area is gorgeous, and the beach while a little rocky in some spots is still stunning and perfect for relaxing.

Resonance Musique Varadero: Interesting resort

Building 33 was great, clean room, safe worked, hot water, and doors locked. I had to switch rooms to building 38 through no fault of the resort, it was on my end and building 38 the room I was in safe didn’t work, balcony door wouldn’t lock and it wasn’t clean. Food was definitely sub par, I have been to Cuba well over 30 times and this was the worst aside from Kawama, and I’m taking the shortages etc in to consideration. I brought 1 can of basic mosquito repellent and only sprayed myself once at night and was absolutely fine. I did not upgrade to harmony, and the only real benefit I saw was that you can get pins coladas on the blu side lol I wouldn’t waste my money. I accidentally went into the upgraded enclosed section for lunch and the spread was the exact same as the buffet, and there were flies too..so… lol. The beach is a decent little hike from the blue side, I wouldn’t recommend for someone with mobility issues. This is an 18+ resort, literally by day 3 I thought I accidentally booked a swingers resort, that’s cool if you’re into it but just not for me. Turns out it was really just a lot of people cheating on their husbands/wives back in Canada… watch out for the French Canadians so gross old 56year old woman sleeping with a 27yr old boy from the GTA.. imagine it was the other way around, there would be an uproar. So many gross tourists and that’s probably why I wouldn’t go back. However I did meet a lovely bunch of great people from Ontario, and an awesome Mom and daughter from Quebec! This resort I was also surprised there were only a few Russians, usually so many.
