Great resort, few issues you can deal with.

The resort is beautiful. Lush gardens, great rooms and very friendly staff. The food was good for Cuban standards, always plenty available and actually had flavour. Biggest issue, no towels. I was aware of this before departure so brought my own therefore it was a non issues for me. Second issue is the bugs. You need insect repellent or you will suffer many many bites!!!! All in all I would visit this resort again.

Enjoyable!

A beautifully laid out resort, delicious food and the best section of beach with turquoise water. Service was good, rooms kept nice and clean. Bring your own beach towels, ongoing shortage of those. And if you want to enjoy tennis and basketball bring your own balls and racquets, there are none supplied.

Good family resort

Our suite suited our needs perfectly and we loved the huge balcony. The food at the resort Is just ok. We always found enough to eat but nothing tasted fabulous. The staff was very nice and the coffee and drinks were awesome. We ran out of diapers whIle we were there and we could not find any on the island. Luckily, another family helped us out. We had to be on top of the maid service in order to get towels and a bottle of water everyday. Beach towels we also difficult to come by. The pool was g [... read more]reat and worked out well for our toddler. Also, unless you are in the priority club you do not have anything in your bar fridge. Kind of annoying. Overall, wet had a relaxing, peaceful stay. Being so close to the airport was also an added bonus!

It was an OK resort.

Just got back on January 03/15. The problem obviously with Cuba is the food. It is absolutely terrible. Only one bar open at night. Was there over New Years and there was only two bartenders on and wow are they slow! When you book into Pestana they give you one beach towel per person. You can exchange this daily but good luck trying to get it exchanged because they are always out! If you loose your towel it will cost you $30.00. The beach was absolutely amazing!!!!

New Year's in Cuba

This was our first visit to Cuba and there were definitely positives and negatives. We would return for the Cayo Coco beach alone. Overall a positive experience but some areas could benefit from improvement.

Adequate resort

Had to grease pockets to actually get what I paid for through Trip Central. Lived out of suitcases (12 people) until our accommodations were available and 500 CUC's later!!!!! Very disappointed that Trip Central would recommend this as a destination. And....there were "ladies of the evening" in the lobby every night after 11 pm and picked up by their pimp by 10 am the next morning!

Family stay at Pestana Cayo coco

Beautiful people and wonderful services, wonderful variety of food: no complaints what so ever on the food. however, communication is very poor even on events scheduled around the resort. Need shoes for the beach too many rocks/corals.. Watch out for your towels, they magically disappear from your room and you need to pay fro them.

Awesome Stay at Pestana Cayo Coco

The grounds were well kept, the beach was beautiful, and the people were amazing. The rooms were cleaned everyday but there seemed to be a shortage of towels and we did not recieve a bottle of water everyday (we had to go ask the front desk). The food was okay, we always found something to eat. The best restaurant was the Portegese. The entertainment was amazing, best I've seen down south yet! Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Wonderful Resort

Beautiful resort. Lovely rooms, great staff, beautiful pool area and beach. Could definitely use some improvement in the food area. Same grill every night. What can I say, food is average but then this is Cuba!

Great Resort

Grounds and buildings were excellent. Public areas were well maintained and exceptionally clean. Pool and beach were very clean. Staff were attentive to our needs -they did a room change and maintenance as required. Pool music was far too loud most of the time. Nightly entertainment was excessively loud - we could not stay for it and saw others putting Kleenex in their ears. Food was poor even by Cuban standards. Very welcoming

Well design campus, service was friendly and very good. Beach was great for both relaxing and going for long walks (bring water shoes due to rocky spots along the way). Beach side BBQ chicken and pizza at lunch was the best part of the day for us. Gym was a little small and under equipped but got our work out in most days, except when employees took it over in later afternoon. Did the catamaran and glass bottom boat both were great.

Sun, sand & full moon!!

The resort was beautifully designed & maintained. The staff were enthusiastic & very friendly. The beach was beyond what you could imagine with water turquoise blue. The whole vacation was everything I desired it to be & more!!

Are you a resort person?

Then u would like this one. Are you French Canadian? You will find lots of people to make friends with. If your looking for a laid back and relaxing vacation this would be the place. Adventurist, shoppers, cultural seekers, explorers , adrenaline junkies and naturalists need not apply!

Perfect getaway

Amazing resort if you are looking for rest and relaxation. Beautiful beach with lots of room and chairs for everyone, fish served on the beach is delicious. The food is the best I've had in any cuban resort. Highly recommend this resort!

Great beach and wonderful staff!!

For a resort that is only 2 years old it was already showing signs of neglect and services inconsistent. Food was OK, but lacked fresh alternatives. Best beach section in the area. Staff were excellent!

Beautiful!

The grounds were beautiful and well maintained, rooms were lovely and clean. Service left something to be desired, though I understand that the resort was a bit busy and bartenders and servers at the buffet had lots of people to attend to. Excursions were great, though the descriptions weren't accurate on every detail (i.e. Cuba: Sugar, Cigar and Rum trip was a full day with lots to do, but the "cigar and rum" part was just a cigar and bottle of rum they gave you at the end.)

Cannot imagine any place better!

Honestly amazing. Travelling as a couple several time to Cuba, first time in Cayo Coco. Pestana has th nicest beach in the area. The foo WA incredible...best of ever had...Portuguese influence was obviously a factor. Hotel is new so all rooms, buildings, restaurants, and pools were beautiful. What more can anyone ask for?

Great vacation

The pool was beautiful. The food was good. The staff were very helpful. We met lots of great people. I was not very happy with the Hola Sun rep. He was not very helpful when I needed help. Everything else was perfect.

Over rated

adele and i were very disappointed with our vacation to pestana kayo coco.we have visited cuba 13 times to different hotels all of which were far better than pestana.the bar was poorly run with poor service& weak drinks were never offered 2nd.drinks we served ourselves more often then not.the buffet was very mediocre.we also got a 2min. scolding by the chair staff on the beach for moving our chairs 6ft. i must say the hotel is clean &well kept with a nice beach. would we return NO.ror us it was  [... read more]a waste of money.jim &adele Dvorak.

Beautiful resort

Beautiful beach and pool. Lobby was really nice and causy. Food at all a la carte restaurants was delicious and buffet had lots of variety. Rooms would require to be refreshed a little. Customer service really effective.
