Fantastic Resort

This hotel was absolutely amazing. My girlfriend and I stayed for a week in May, and I must say, we were blown away. The bus ride is 2 hours from the airport, but honestly its not that bad. The service at the resort was superb. Ive received better service in Cuba than I have some places where I live. The food was pretty good, much better than other resorts i've been to in Cuba. Overall beautiful resort

My mom and I had a lovely time, with great food, and a beautiful beach. They focus a lot on evening entertainment with a variety every night and I loved it. But I want to talk about some of the details that need improvement but by no means ruined our stay. It was clear when we arrived at the resort it is one of the busiest seasons. I was disappointed at the lack of cleanliness and slow service at the snack bars. Also, even though this is a newer hotel, you can tell it already needs some repairs. [... read more] From tiles missing around the pool to broken wooden floor boards where you rinse off there is noticeable damage in many areas. Even in the hotel room the paint was peeling. It also doesn't look good when people leave glasses/plates in the hallways or even on the pathways trough-out the resort. That should get cleaned up immediately. Checking in and checking out was also disorganized and checking in especially took a very long time.

it was ok . we spent 1 week at the Valentin Perla Blanca and it was the longest 1 weeks of our life because of so many mosquito bite that make us to stay inside the hotel room most of the time ...it was a bad experience. 1.Need more variety on breakfast ,buffet for lunch and dinner 2.customer service 3.the reception staff could improve their knowledge and service

Amazing beach!

Great time at this hotel except the mosquitos. They fog but unfortunately it is the rainy season now. Besides that, great lobby entertainment, amazing beach and spainish coffee so yummy! Love the bar at the beach and the guys driving the trolley. Waiters at the buffet were amazing too. Good food and good selection.

Great Resort!

The Valentina was an amazing experience overall. The staff in particular was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The beach is absolutely incredible with goergoues white sand and turquoise water that is so clear you can see to the bottom. Great recommendation from our travel agent.

Amazing Resort

It was our first trip to cuba and chose this resort due to the great price for 4.5 star. We loved every minute food wasn't as bad as we were told, the beach was amazing and staff was very nice. Room was clean and beautiful. We already agreed to come back next year if price was the same.

Beautiful beach

The beach was gorgeous, the staff were extremely friendly. The resort itself was nice, nothing fancy. The rooms were okay, king bed was extremely uncomfortable- only one pillow and was very thin which made for an all around uncomfortable sleep. Food was okay for the first few days in terms of options but it ended up being the same thing everyday for every meal. Food options need to be increased for me to consider this resort again in the future. The “party” pool, pool pieces were coming off. [... read more] Entertainment was okay, only attended two nights of entertainment, wasn’t great. Lobby was the main hangout area which had a nice bar and lots of seating and great service.

Amazing beach/bad food

The beach was absolutely amazing and the staff were extremely friendly- by far the best part of the resort. Always met with smiles and happiness The only negatives I have are the rooms were very outdated. The beds and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. Our mini fridge was barley stocked daily. The food was the worst part. Cold and was not good. For the price it was a good resort but the food needs to be hugely improved for me to consider a return visit.

Beautiful!! Will be returning

My boyfriend and I visited April 21-28 2018. First and only downfall was the almost 2 hour bus ride from the airport. But there’s beer and amazing views on the way! This place was gorgeous! It’s a very large resort but they had golf carts so you could hitch a ride anywhere if you can’t walk distances. We had our room in block 23 which is the “party” side. Beautiful rooms! We heard the odd drunk group trying to find their room but nothing excessive. Just prepare yourself for the young obnoxious groups in the pool that just arrived that afternoon and want to party right away. You won’t see much of them after their first day lol. The food was typical Cuban food but I’d say it was better than any other places in Cuba I’ve been to! EAT AT THE SNACK BARS, the chicken sandwich is to die for and I don’t eat beef but the “Filadelphia” sandwich was AMAZING. So that’s saying something. We had the Italian a la Carte and it was so good! Highly recommend. The people are absolutely amazing and they go above and beyond to ensure you have a great time. Our fridge was stocked everyday but it usually wouldn’t get stocked until about 4 o’clock which was okay with us. So be a little patient, you’re on Cuban time! The beach was absolutely beautiful but like all these other reviews, if you want a good spot you have to go early and that’s simply it. We also went to the “Relax” side of the resort and that pool is big and beautiful! Very relaxing and we loved that we had the option to party on one side and then have a quieter day by the relax pool. There’s so much more I can say about this resort but this review would just be way too long. My boyfriend and I WILL be returning in the next couple of years. We totally fell in love!

Beaufitul place

The hotel was nice. There is definitely some upkeep that needs to happen, like painting and general cleaning of walls, doors, etc. It's a relatively new resort so I'm not sure they have done any of this since it was built except what was required after the hurricane. The pool was missing tiles and there was some questionable electrical, but overall my experience was good. The beach was beautiful, the pool was enjoyable, the food was adequate but not spectacular. We'd probably go again.

Wonderful week at Valentin Perla Blanca

We had a wonderful stay here at the beginning of April. Keep expectations low and prepare to be pleasantly surprised. Very friendly and diligent staff. Clean and beautiful buildings and grounds. Plenty of entertainment during the day and at night. Zero complaints.

Great great value resort!

Just came back from this resort last week and I must say that it exceeded our expectations. The staff there was super friendly and very helpful. I cannot thank Abdel and Jesse from the buffet enough for the amazing time we had. I know that some people complain about the food quality in Cuba but tbh we always found something to our liking. Poor quality resort

The resort itself was okay but not amazing. It was clean but it is getting a bit old. The service was very bad as well as the food (bad even for Cuba). A lot of people got sick during their trip. The weather was nice all week thankfully but I was not generally pleased with this trip. We had a hard time to get clean towels. Internet is half working not that I needed it was frustrating not being able to see the kids. The beaches are nice but not clean. On the way there air transat had us wait in the plane for 2 hours. The highlight of the trip was the Buena Vista Social Club show...amazing!

Very nice resort

Great atmosphere very clean great rooms must say the communication aspect was not what i expected for example on the website it says no need for special plug ins well u do or else no curling iron for you food was fine the a la cartes were very good

Amazing resort

Hotel was very nice people on the resort were very nice. Very accommodating and made my special day amazing. The beach seemed to be quite a ways from where we were located so it was a hike daily. Also the pools towards the middle of the week became very cloudy and it made me not want to swim in them

Excellent Resort

The resort had 2 large pools so you could choose which area of the resort you wanted to use. The rooms were very comfortable. The resort staff were very friendly and accommodating. The pool area was great. I did not get involved in nightly entertainment activities but there appeared to be lots to chose from and a lot of activities during the day. I choose to relax by the pool and rest and relax and this resort was great for that.

Will be going back !!!

The resort is big. The staff was awesome, helped out with any concerns we had. The maid and the staff responsible for the instock of bar fridge was great. The beach was awesome. Always found loungers at the beach and pools. The la a carts were great, very filling. Entertainment was good, lots of activities and fun at the pool foam party. We were there for 2 weeks and will be going back to this resort.

The Best Resort There Is!!!

We loved everything about the resort. The food was amazing, it was a huge resort with a lot of different fun activities in two totally different pools. The staff were amazing and the rooms were comfy!

Valentin Perla Blanca, Santa Maria, Cuba

Just back from a week at the Valentin Perla Blanca. We had a great time. The resort is big so there was a lot of walking. We had a beautiful ocean view room. They could use new pillows as the ones we had were very thin. There was always hot water & pressure for talking a shower. The food was good. We did the Italian, Spanish & French Restaurants & enjoyed all 3. The only real complaint that we had is the lack of chairs on the beach. You had to get up very early in order to find any. I  [... read more]heard that some people were putting their towels down the night before to get a chair that wasn't broken. The was a lot of reserving chairs both on the beach & at both pools. I think the resort should enforce the rules of no reserving spots. We saw chairs that were reserved for over 5 hours without anyone coming to use them. We were told by the guide that they are working on opening up a new airport closer to Santa Maria so you wouldn't have that 1.5 hour bus ride to the resorts. All in all a very good vacation & would return again.

Just okay resort

It was my first time down south. Resort much too big. Long walk to get anywhere. Stains on blankets. Patio door doesn't lock. Food terrible. Beach amazing, pools very nice. Service only good if you tip and seems fake. Not overly impressed. Catamaran made the whole trip, so worth your money. Resort was much too far from airport. Entertainment at night was great. Disco not good, only cuban music? The lobby staff are not very helpful. Had trouble with rooms keys, little to no help. Bartender told me they were out of beer but the bartender on the other side of the bar was serving beer. I read good and bad reviews before going and was very hopeful and only listened to the good, was a mistake. The bad reviews here are really true. Got sick one day and after returning home got sick again. Beautiful country but not for me.
