Great Resort

The hotel itself was very beautiful, the beach, the front desk, the bartenders , the maids were very polite and very friendly. The food at the a la carte was not good, the buffet was much better but the buffet needs to change their food daily instead of having the same thing every single meal and day.

Amazing resort, will return

New modern resort, stayed seven days in April and would return. Check in took all of five minutes, then we were off to lunch, food at main buffet very good, four hot grilling stations and quick service, beach BBQ has great hotdogs and the a la cartes were excellent.. Rooms very clean , towels replaced and fridge restocked daily, Beach was beautiful and you could walk for miles, always lots of loungers on beach and around pool anytime of day. Must try the Spanish coffee at the lounge bar, wow. Overall a great holiday at a amazing resort. Thanks to our agent Lynne Dixon for all her attention and input towards our holiday.

Best Vacation Ever

Pullman Cayo Coco was absolutely amazing. From the pools to the staff to the food the entertainment and the beach all fantastic! Pullman Cayo Coco is one of the nicest resorts we have been to. The rooms are so new and clean and very well appointed. Already thinking about our trip back next year. Thank you to Marlena Bielak for all her help booking this trip.

Beautiful resort

2 year old beautiful modern resort, grounds were well kept, pools were amazing, exceptional beach and food was very good. Staff at reception and dining area spoke very good English and were very pleasant and helpful exspecially Arcel who worked the activities.

Nice hotel - not a 5 Star

April 14-23 - Deluxe Ocean View Room Pros: Beach - amazing, but because it's "reclaimed" sand from the ocean, there are lots of pieces of broken shells, but really long/wide, great for walking Staff: Beautiful people, humble, grateful, and smarter than most tourists that go there........special shout out to Jose Antonio Rodrigues & Maria Paolo in the buffet, Wilbur/Juandra/William/Youdanys in the Beach bar and Vivi/Lunch Grill area - very special people who make a difference! Yaque [... read more]line - meal reservations, very nice and very helpful. Customer Service Lady: I'm sorry I did not get her name, but she arranged for a birthday cake/champagne for my friends' birthday. Food: This is a Pro & Con - For the most part - good from what we experienced and heard about Cuba food. However the CONS: Orange juice was TANG (for those who remember), no bacon (other hotels had lots of bacon), Regular TEA (had lemon/mint - both of which were not very tasty). Ala Cartes: We ate at Cuban/Gourmet/Japanese/French - all good - French - best meal, followed by Cuban, then Gourmet & Japanese. CONS: Front desk staff not really helpful - with the exception of Norge - he was very helpful, friendly. Front desk Money exchange - would say "no money today" or no 1$$ bills today, then I walk by 2 minutes later and the person behind me is getting 1$$.....if the hotel advertises currency exchange, they should have the $$ to support. I felt I was being forced to take larger bills and tip greater amounts. Lobby Bar: Great drinks - bartenders not friendly, and sometimes walk by you a few times before asking you for a drink. Towel Bar: Very nice staff - 3X there were no towels.......frustrating. Rooms: Nice, nothing really special - not 5 Star. Bathroom was a bit of a wasted space, not sure why there needs to be a big wooden window on the internal wall looking from the bathroom into the room. Only had hot water 4 days out of 10 - did not matter what time we showered in the afternoon - any time from 4-7pm - cold water. Toilet would not flush for 2 days - finally I realized it's the tank ball/arm not working - reported 2X - maintenance came to fix - well they really just lifted the back tank and flicked the ball - which is what I did - it did not get fixed. Room Card: Deactivated 2X in one day, and again next day - Front desk (one of the not helpful employees) said "do you have coins in with your room card? I said yes - he said "Well that's causing the key to deactivate. I said - why did you not tell me when you gave me coin instead of 1$$ bills? He did not have an answer for me. Weather - disappointing. It was very windy (not breezy) for the entire week, except 2 last days - which were great. Not the experience I was hoping for, but not the hotel's fault. Lastly - you have to be able to handle 100% French language - it's quite overwhelming the population of Francophones. Met some very nice folks from QC on the beach - most were loud, boorish and rude. I will not be going back to Pullman Resort, nor recommending to anyone I happen to speak to.

Awesome views. Beach wonderful .

The grounds are well arranged, plants life is awesome. we had water coming in from the roof and though the ceiling vent and the light fixture in the bathroom over the toilet .We asked the front desk to send someone up to fix it no one come to even look at it .Front desk staff didn't care . They forgot our wait up calls , they also didn't tell us our flight was cancelled from 6 pm to 2 am . We didn't get any thing we needed from them .They are a lot of things falling apart .

Great resort

Very nice resort. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and curtious but never got any replies from the front desk when we told them that the roof in our room leaked in two places when it rained. The room was mopped up the next day when the rooms were cleaned. Our flight was delayed 12 hours, which was no fault of theirs, but the 1AM time call we asked for at the "front desk" never happened. Great Time !!!

Everything about this hotel is wonderful. This was my second time there. I have been to Cuba many times and have never understood what a lot of people fuss about anyway ?!?! Cuba is amazing and this hotel in particular is a real treat. Not your regular Cuban style resort. Modern and lots of room to grow. The foliage is young and in a few years will be beautiful. Spectacular views

Everything was outstanding food, rooms were large, service from staff was great. Beach was long and wide lots of chairs at both beach and pool no real need to save a spot unless you wanted shade by the beach.

Fabulous!!

This hotel is now our " return to" place in Cayo Coco. From check in to departure we were attended to by courteous staff. The resort is new, but has that typical Cuban hospitality. Spacious rooms beautiful bathrooms, balcony with table and chairs, and small table and chairs in room, lounging couch, iron and board, hangers in large closets, with house coats, bar fridge always full of water ,pop and beer,. Very impressed with this resort, just the right size , easy access to everything. The best for last- the amazing Cuban people who make you feel sooo welcome.

More than expected

The Pullman resort was more than we expected ! clean rooms ,well above average food ,plenty of room at pool and beach,bar staff all very good (Wilber at beach bar great entertainer with many talents) Check in could be a little more organized and check in time 2pm vrs 4pm This is medium size resort,going to get bigger which could affect seating at pool ,bars ,beach,dining when expansion is complete.Never attended any night shows,but the venue was well set up with lots of comfortable seats.We ha [... read more]ve been to Cuba at least a dozen times (stayed at Sol in Varedaro 2star,sandals royal hicacos 5star,RoyaltonSanta Maria 5star second to none) this resort will give you a good blast for your buck 4.5 star. Great trip!

This was our first time going to Cuba and we had an amazing time. This hotel is truest a hidden gem in Cuba. The hotel was beautiful. The rooms and the structure of the hotel is modern and well done. Rooms were cleaned and the hotel was well maintained. Hotel staff were great, humble people and really got involved at the pool area. The beach is stunning and be nice big pools were amazing! The food was excellent. So much to choose. everything was absolutely fresh and lots of variety. We loved it. [... read more] I would difinatley be heading back to Pullman Cayo Coco and reccamend this hotel to others.

Nice resort

Hotel was nice. The service was good. There needs to be more variety with respect to food. The al la catre's were small and fully booked. It was a challenge to get a booking. The booking system for the restaurant's is lengthy. Animation team needs to be more proactive with activities.

Fantastic 12 days at The Pullman

the lobby of this hotel is the main feature with a beautiful view - and of course the beach is great which is where we spent most of our time. we requested a room change from 43105 to 24004 - 43 was a bit too far away from everything and had 2 beds - we had requested one king bed - reception was great at getting us moved the 2nd day we were there and we were so happy - rooms very clean and the rain shower great - tried the tub shower but the drainage was bad so only used the rain shower - we wer [... read more]e surprised that so many people still smoke and that was really apparent in the lobby - which is were we liked to hang out before and after dinner - we managed though - lots of families/kids - maybe the resort was a bit big for us - buffet was okay you could always manage to find something to eat - although food usually just warm - the best al la carte was the Collections and then French, Japanese ok - Creole not so good

Great resort

Resort was nice and clean. The staff was awesome and made us feel very special and made special accommodations for baby. Lots to do and nice live music everyday and night ! Would definitely go again.

Pullman Cayo Coco

We were there March 3-10 2017. Great resort... especially the " Collections", a part of the resort for adults only. It features separate check in, concierge service, private pool,4 guaranteed a la carte restaurant reservations and free wifi ( one hour per person per day). Entertainment is the best we have seen in any resort in Cuba ( mostly in Varadero). Food is good. Service is excellent.

2nd time even better

We had a great week at the Pullman in Cayo Coco. Everything was top notch. The food is great. Not just for Cuba it was great. The staff is fantastic treating us like gold all week. We had a couple of stormy days but we enjoyed it all. The grounds are well kept although still growing in. Entertainment was great all week day and night. Fantastic talent on display. P restine - U ltimate fun - L eisure - L avishing - M edley - A ttractions - N oble Prestine - The Hotel, Grounds, and landscaping are all remarkable. Still all very new and lovely. In a few years this place will be Beautiful as the bushes, tress, plants etc all blossom and develop. This hotel is very clean kudos to the cleaning staff keep up the great work. The pool areas is to die for nice touch having multiple pools. One negative would be none of the pools are heated. Not sure if its the t [... read more]ime of year we went but the water was cool to cold. But the pool with the pool bar should be heated maybe a future install for the winter months, you may get more involvement with pool activities. Our room 42106 was very adequate clean, tidy, and neat. We had a KING SIZE BED comfortable enough for vacation. Very modern set-up and clean. The bathroom window or shutter wouldn't close. Which brought some much need entertainment for me and the wife one day as we tried to close it. Our TV could have been bigger but we didn't really watch it as we didn't stay in the room that much. The construction next door as they are building another unit was fair and the noise was kept down to a minimal. only woke us up one day out of 7. I'm glad they continue to evolve this place. We are not light sleepers so didn't impact us. The Gourmet Restaurant a - la - cart at the adults only section was great. Thank you to the Hotel and staff for making my wife's Birthday extra special. The Champagne bottle was a nice touch and a good start to our night. Ultimate fun - From the first day we arrive we have a great time. The entertainment staff are excellent. Our personal favorites were Jimmy, Renee. The activities all day long by the pool were very fun. We even managed to WIN a certificate as a lazy game winner. The pool table and tournament at 3pm was very enjoyable. That has nothing to do with winning a bottle of rum. The foam party was so fun MY wife and I have never experienced anything like it. An extra special thank you to Jimmy for dancing and singing Happy Birthday to my wife Monday night at the show. We had a great time. The night club is very nice but never used. We recommend that the Hotel Theme to the people who are attending at that time. I.e 50's 60's 70's night etc. We noticed an older crowd so if you cater to them as another place for dancing I believe the guests would use it more. Maybe change up theme night to night. Friday - Rock Saturday- Oldies Sunday-Soul train etc. Leisure - this place is great for relaxing no hassling, time share, or pan handlers on the beach trying to sell you something. Relaxing is what we did and you'll get to do, either by the pool or the beach. So many chairs to go around you didn't have to wake up early to reserve. A very nice added touch on the beach was that they had a guy who will get your chair if needed. As they stack them nightly to preserve and keep the beach clean and uncluttered. The beach is just incredible clean and great for walking which we did every day. We walked all the way down to the rocks and deserted hotel only to find another beach strip to the left. It was very enchanting and nice for pictures. Depending on water level very nice for pictures, seeing fish, and staying in warm water. Very quiet and Majestic for walking. Loving - Can't say enough about the people. They are great! Amazing, friendly, and loving. From the people we met to all of the staff they took care of us as if we were family. The bartenders just awesome! The weight staff at the buffet. The chefs making our Pasta and meat so friendly and genuine. We didn't have a problem with even one person. Some people take it for granted but for a bunch of people who travel at least an hour to and from work by bus they are all very kind, respectful, happy go lucky. If you happen to run into a bad person or had a bad experience I say give them a MULLIGAN it's got to be tough on them. It's not like you never have a bad day! Medley - The buffet had variety! The food for Cuba is above average. Italian lovers they threated us with some good pasta all week. YES! They have PARMESAN CHEESE. The prosciutto was a surprise treat we found. The Cappicola, Mortadella, salamis and fresh bread every day was excellent. The porchetta and meat was very good prepared the way you like. I kept it simple salt, pepper, and garlic oil. Lots of salads artichoke, mixed vegetables, beets etc. They did have salads available you had to make it yourself. Yes they had olive oil, balsamic or red wine vinegar available. The only negative would be your CLASSIC SALADS are missing the Caesar or Garden. I recommend that Pullman put in a nice A la carte ITALIAN restaurant. It could replace the CREOLE! I'm not a fan. The Japanese restaurant was neat and fun! You have to try it. You won't be disappointed or starve. ATTRACTIONS - We went on two tours. One was the Cuban tour. We went to the city of Moron. Our guide and bus driver Alex were just awesome. I'll tell you one thing for sure. I wouldn't want to drive on the coors way or roads in Cuba. Minimal lighting, guard rails etc. u may be swimming in the ocean if you had a bad accident. Back to the tour. If you enjoy a horse and carriage ride, pina colada,with natural ingredients, speed boat ride, and last but not least people watching and seeing how the locals live. you will enjoy this tour. The Sunset Cruise or boat ride. Was not for us. The Cuban sunset was beautiful and we met some really nice people. but other than that not much to see. Its your typical swamp scenery but on a lake! Let's not mention the flat boat and almost being decapitated by the bridge depending on water levels. The tour guides were fun and exciting they tried really hard to make something out of nothing. It was calm and relaxing boat ride if your fan of that. Noble - The Pullman resort is a must stay (5 star rating guaranteed). They must maintain and try to keep improving the base principle, values, and hospitality they have set -up. We will definitely return to Cuba! I had a bad experience in Santiago Cuba but this place has changed my mind about Cuba. Last but not least. I have to send a shout out to The AQUA pool bar and most importantly OMELIO and the other bartenders. My favourite location that was serving me cerveza's. shots, and Havana club 7 year dark Cuban rum in all my drinks. He is definitely a brother to me. made me feel great and took care of me all week. He made our stay much enjoyable! I can't forget JOSE our CHURRIO guy. Man we love those CHURRIO'S!

PRICEY FOR WHAT YOU GET

Grounds were not lush, need a few years to mature. Sewer near Creole restaurant stunk. For a newer resort there is a lot of work to be done. Tiles falling off in pool. Notice it is wearing fast. Not alot of selection in room fridge. People were nice, food was great and entertainment awesome. Beds comfy, rooms clean. Beach very nice. Could use some ice machines.
