Melia Jardines del Rey: Not the greatest resort!

This was our second time to this resort, we were there last year. So dissapointed. The resort ran out of beer, wine, bread, french fries, there was only one buffet opened, the beach bar at the far end of the resort was closed but one day, some toilets did not flush or had no toilet seat and the doors did not close; the smell of sewage was everywhere; we saw the beach restaurant pump out what looked like grey water that smelled like sewage out in the walking path to the beach, the water just pool [... read more]s and stays stagnant; i think this contributes to the moskitos! the buffets had very little food and poor selections; the resort sells liquor and wine bottles all over the resort where they did not last year; they sell lobster and tbone steaks that you can pay for; If you tip, you get service; if you don't, the service is not so good. All of us got sick everytime we ate. Immodium did not even help! We will not recommend or be going to cuba any time soon.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Big change

We spend a week at melia Jardine del Rey all together their was 14 of us ...the trip was ok not great....we had a great room building 1...service was good...we had to ask at the front desk for water...beer fridge was fill 3 times in a week....24 hour bar dint have food for few days no bread no fries....around 9 pm they were out of beer n wine at night..no towels for first 2 days....food was down really disappointed...this was r third time going to this resort....we found out that all Melia was o [... read more]wn by Cuban army...spain 20 years contract was up....if you wanted good wine we had to buy it....we found this time everything you wanted you had to pay for it....the beach r still beautiful love Cuba but nothing feels like the cuban experience.....everyone of us after eating in the buffet we all had bad diaria.....everytime so that put a big damp on our trip...shows really not much there...nothing like pass experience.....we think to take a break from Cuba for a few years 😶

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Home away from home!

We have just returned from our fifth stay in 3 years ! We have bonded with many staff that always go above and beyond to make us feel at home. From the minute we arrive to the minute we leave we are comfortable and always amazed with everything ! Big thanks to Alfie D'uva @ Trip centeral for always insuring our vacation is booked properly and everything is taken care of !! We are already counting down the days till we return !

Melia Cayo Coco: Fantastic resort

The Melia Cayo Coco is relatively small, with all amenities close to all of the rooms. The beach and water are excellent. The food at the buffet is very good, with a lot of variety. The rooms are spacious, with quiet air conditioning.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Nice resort

We had a get time at the resort .we tip maid very well and she was good tell Last day when left as with no towels or bed sheets witch made u feel like we dont want u to come back and she only give 1 beer every day but I guess she need to drink beer more then me (top floor building 4 ) the one waiter at the lobby bar was prejudiced to bigger people as he would not come near .he did bring as 1 drink and got a tip from us then did his best to avoid us the rest of the stay. Customer service guy was nothing but a joke he was just there for a pay check .buffet food was good the Buffet just need a better lay out to serve people better..we would probably return but we would differently avoid the waiter that thinks he better then most people there.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Excellent place to relax

Grounds were superb. Several little things in the unit needed attention. The grab bar in the tub had been removed (actually it looked like it had been wrenched from the wall ). The light switch on one of the bedside lamps was broken. The meals were good and plentiful. Staff tried to do their best to please.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Very nice place.

This is a typical Iberostar hotel. Overall decent, clean hotel and most of all very friendly personnel. Went there with my whole family. My two kids, who have been entertained every day by absolutely amazing entertainment stuff, were delighted with pleasant activities. Our room was ocean view upgraded without any additional charge, clean and spacious for a family of four. Overall we were very pleased with our stay at the Iberostar Playa Pilar.

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Good resort

Room hotel was clean, but beds and pillows very uncomfortable!! food was good, they should work on drinks more, entertainment was really nice. Beach was rocky like u can see on the pictures, but weather was really nice, what I didn’t like was reserving beds on the beach, it was sign to “do not reserve” and people were doing this anyway, they came for one hour in the morning then they disappeared and showed up again afternoon, all day bed was taken, they should do something like reserve in [... read more] the reception or something. Hotel Playa Coco: It's Cuba!

As long as you manage your expectations about Cuba this was a good hotel. The beach was beautiful, the drinks were strong, the animation staff was great, as were the nightly shows. The food was repetitious and not much selection, but what they made was done well. The main issue was the sand fleas, we got eaten alive, it was my first time experiencing this, not pleasant as you want to scratch your skin off, be sure to bring a grease based insect repellent!

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Beautiful beach

Would not rate this as a 3 Star resort. We understood there was an ownership change at the beginning of the year so hoped they would be on their game. Very tired looking rooms and lobby/restaurant. We called it the “line up “ hotel. You lined up and waited a long time for food and had to wait when they ran out of plates and glasses ( an everyday occurrence). Over 300 rooms and only one machine for coffee. I waited over 20 minutes on more than one occasion for a single coffee. Wine was only a [... read more]vailable in the buffet restaurant which had limited hours. The staff were very helpful but the resort is understaffed. Pool and beach were perfect. We have travelled to many areas and resorts in Cuba and this one was the first to disappoint.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Great Resort

Great Resort , Beautiful Grounds , Excellent Beach, Very Clean. Overall Great Service ,Food for the most part good , would not go hungry. Beach Snack Bar lacked variety such as no French Fries. Washrooms not located close enough to beach.

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Wonderful Hotel Colonial Cayo Coco, and the best staff ever !

This hotel has been our favourite “go to” place in Cuba... It may not be as up to date as the new modern “state of the art’ Hotels but it is all about the character and welcomingness of this place... It is a hotel where the staff never forget your Name!!! And bend over backwards to do the best they can for you. The grounds  [... read more]are beautiful. Wonderfully kept gardens... two pools that meanderthrough the resort...a Salt Water pool and a Fresh Water pool... perestine!! There are two A la Carte Restaurants, and a large Buffet area which was added onto this past year... VERY nice... The food is Cuban, don’t expect North American food when visiting Cuba... there is enough to eat and you can find something to eat... their BREADS are to die for!! The Beach at Colonial is one of the nicest I am told... but be careful of the sea shells and coral that are found there... Beach boys come on the run when they see you to find you a good spot and get your chairs ready for you. If you are looking for high class accommodations, this is not the place for you... this is CUBAN all the way... and very beautiful... Go with an open mind, it is CUBA and things don’t go as quickly there as in North America. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Amazing Beautiful Beach!

This was our third time visiting this particular resort. The beach has been completely revamped to an amazing white sandy wider beach front. There was always someone there to help you find a beach chair if you could not find a spot on own. Some services have declined. For example: room service...particularly the bathroom not being supplied with toilet paper or not enough. Shower towels not being replaced but being told that they had been...making it an uncomfortable task to find your chamber mai [... read more]d to get some clean towels for showering. Beach towel service nonexistent. Main Buffet Dining room needs lighting. Too dark. Watching the hardworking servers working in enclosed work areas where they are polishing wine glasses in the dark. One side of the restaurant seemed to have more experienced servers than the opposite side. Lobby Bar ....I understand this resort has become a family hotspot. There should be some control over children running around the bar and sitting on the bar stools at the bar where liquor is being served. This inhibits Adults from not being able to order drinks or from being served. There should be signage in place stating no children permitted to sit at the bar. The resort is kept very clean, gardens are lush. Plublic washrooms should always have soap dispensers filled but were not. With some fine tuning, this resort can easily be brought back to its former outstanding service as we have experienced in the past.

Rooms were not the best had a lot of sewage smell no coffee in room Lots of plumbing problems Beaches we’re nice Pools can use some cleaning And chairs lots of mold Lots of mold on belcony and bathroom can use a painting lots of mildue First 3 days was good for food at 24 hr restaurant then all ways out of food.

Hotel Mojito: Absolutely!....The perfect vacation!

The Iberostar Mojito is stellar!! This is a beautiful resort with clean, comfortable rooms, good food, lovely paths for travellers to find their way to any one of their shaded 4 swimming pools, all of which are surrounded by beautiful landscaping. Their hardworking staff are sweet, kind and always have a smile to share whether they are housekeepers, bartenders, servers, landscapers, etc. The beach is stunning! Melia Jardines del Rey: Extremely disappointing

I was very disappointed with this resort. I did not get what I paid for. I was supposed to receive a number of upgrades that I did not get - at all. The first room I was given was a disaster - dirty, stained furniture, ripped bed sheets, the sliding door would not work, the windows were very dirty, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. I was eventually given a better room but the first two days of my vacation were completely and utterly ruined, and the Air Transat staff at the resort was no [... read more]t helpful at all. I was supposed to receive direct transfers to and from the airport, and that did not happen either. I did not receive any of the upgrades that I had paid for. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation but it was just stressful and unpleasant.

Hotel Mojito: Awsome place to vacation

Everything about this place was excellent. Food was decent. ... resourt was well laid out...service was good ..... place was very clean... beach is a world class 5 star beach. Close too airport.. had the best week ever in Cuba. I highly recommend this resourt

Muthu Colonial Hotel: Amazing resort

I just returned from my yearly vacation at this resort. It was my 6th time there. It was great especially the staff. I have got to know the staff over the years and they are always excited to see us. Its like going home. We will be going back in june.

Melia Costa Rey: Pullman vacation

The food is excellent, very clean well kept hotel ! The beach is absolutely beautiful ! The staff in general are very friendly and the service very good, I would definitely go back to this resort and recommend it to my friends and family
