Hotel Mojito: Amazing!

Amazing service. Despite the devastation from the hurricane, they are doing amazingly well restoring and making the buildings and grounds better. I have heard so many negatives report on the food in Cuba but found this place really good with a good variety.

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Superb hotel with exemplary staff and service

This is our 4th stay at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso and it never fails to live up to its reputation. The hotel buildings are magnificent and kept meticulously clean and repainted frequently. In the main the a la carte restaurants are excellent but it isn't always easy to reserve a table even a week in advance. Beach and beach service are excellent and quiet. JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Excellant Adults Only Resort

Everything about this resort is 5 star This was our seventh visit to the Grand Paraiso and nothing disappointed On our arrivel we are introduced to our butler who already knew our likes and dislikes from previous trips and ahd eqipped our room accordingly The food is top notch regardless of the restaurants or buffet

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Great week at Iberostar Ensenachos

We had a wonderful week Feb 1 to 8. Rooms in the family area are spacious with walk in closet which worked as a modesty change room. Unfortunately i am a magnet for mosquitos or sand flea bites every trip south. Never saw a mosquito actually bite me but i have about 40 itchy bite marks. My four other travellers suffered no bites. Long walk from rooms to buffet etc and my husband has knee problems so we called for the grounds shuttles which were very reliable. Food was well pr [... read more]epared but limited and bland but expected for Cuba. Signage in buffet restaurant and a la carte menus often misrepresented the food presented. A customer service rep approached us for comments near the end of our visit and made notes of all our feedback and appeared appreciative of our suggestions. Great place for kids with the waterpark with slides etc. And not too crowded. Lots of lounge chairs for parents to sit in to keep an eye on them. Low tide afforded kids to be able to wade in thigh-high water to see fish, crabs, and occasional starfish without having to snorkel. Shows were nice and featured live music vs recorded compared to other resorts. Will likely return if travelling wlith kids but prefer food at playa costa verde, Holguin. Return trip to Ottawa included Hour and half bus to santa clara airport and having to sit on plane for extended period in Caya Coco while remaining seated Meant we were 11 hours getting home whereas the flight down was only 4.5 hr hrs. Direct flight both ways would have been great. However price was excellent for Sunwiing from Edmonton and Airtransat from Ottawa as i was paying for five passengers in total and could not have afforded other carriers.

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Great Resort!

We felt as though we got good value for our money overall. Food was excellent, rooms great, staff very nice! It wasn’t overly packed and don’t think they were even near full capacity. If they were I am not sure it would have been as good as it was ! The only issues we had were difficulties getting enough bottled water and borrowing towels seemed as though they were made of gold ! Resort had a great layout and great entertainment ! Overall better than we had anticipated !!

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Large, amazing resort

The hotel is very large, which suited me as I enjoyed walking everywhere, but my dad has a bad leg so we relied pretty heavily on the trollies which sometimes took a while to arrive to our villa. Otherwise, I think the selection of food was decent although the Italian a-la-carte wasn't good. The employees at the resort are amazing. Alonso at the lobby bar is also a noteable person during our trip... after our first encounter, he remembered our names and always went beyond our expectations to provide us with excellent customer service and was very social. It's these two people who made our trip exceptional, and we will be returning as soon as we can. The pool is also very nice, although a little chilly when you first submerge. Once you're in the water though it's great. The pool bar staff were also very sociable, and quick to take our orders. There were always plenty of empty pool chairs to choose from. I wish they had shade for the parents around the kid zone's water park, because it can get hot watching them play, but otherwise the equipment was well maintained and the kids had a blast. The beaches were very nice as well, but we did get bit by sand fleas. Note to self: don't put your things on your bed when you return to your room from the beach, as you may find yourself scratching the next day. We didn't manage to snorkel while we were down, and the low/high tide is pretty significant, so it might not be the best place to snorkel off the beach unlike other places we've been, but this was a relaxing trip. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the balconies are also very nice. I sat out every evening and enjoyed the atmosphere. They have a lot of American channels, too, so if you prefer lounging in your AC room at night, there is plenty to watch on TV. The wifi in the lobby was decent to place calls on Whatsapp, but could be spotty at times and in the evenings there is always a big gathering of guests so it can get quite noisy, but we managed (I just had to remind myself that I wasn't in Cuba for the internet!) I would recommend this hotel to a friend, and plan on making another trip soon.

Beautiful grounds, great service, good buffet, good live shows, horrible a le cart restaurants.Beach was perfect. My massage was awful the worker had a fingernail that scratched and the room was freezing

Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Excellent resort

I have no complaints about this hotel. It was as was described and photographed on the website. The staff was very professional.If we requested anything it was attended to immediately. The entertainment was incredible. We are a family of 5 (3 teens) and we all loved our time spent there :)

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: New and improving

It is amazing to see how much has been accomplished in such a short time since hurricane irma.staff have worked so hard to get the hotel up and running. We are happy to see things coming back to normal.

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: We liked the resort a lot!

We go to Cuba for winter holidays for the past 20 years,and could say that Playa Alameda gave us probably the best experience.We loved the size of the resort, and the acomodations and all facilities are kept nice and clean.Minibar in the room and coffee maker,definitely a plus. Service and Entertainment team- great people, kept us busy!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Excellent Resort.

Considering this is a relatively new resort the operation of the resort functions above average. The various staffs especially the animation team perform to a high standard and are to be congratulated. In fact the staff in all areas work hard to make the tourist happy more so then most resorts. The ground are a work in progress and will be beautiful when more mature. The food is good but even the new resorts can not keep the food more then warm in their trays in the buffet. Our room 1525 was spacious especially the bathroom and the towel art appreciated. This resort has been carefully laid out and the pool area impressive. We enjoyed our stay and recommend this resort.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Good but not great

Hotel was okay. Not much variety in the food area. Rooms were acceptable but not spectacular. The view was great, the pools were clean and the access to the sea was easy. The best part of our trip was the staff!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Fabulous Resort for a Vacation

We loved this resort and look forward to being able to return some day. It's grounds, food, and staff are nothing but spectacular. The pool and beach staff were exceptional. They were very friendly and took time to get to know each and every one of us in our group. The rooms were spacious, clean and nightly turn down was icing on the cake after a great day on the beach.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Excellent resort

Despite the recent problems in Jamaica with gang violence, we felt totally safe at this complex. The staff are the best we have encountered ANYWHERE, and are to be commended on their friendly, efficient and cheerful service. The grounds and rooms are very well maintained, the variety food at the buffet should please the pickiest eater, A bonus was the availability of beach chairs in the shade!

Iberostar Origin Playa Pilar: Ugh

I was looking forward to returning to Cuba. The people here have been our favorite compared to other Island resorts etc. Not this time. Alot of the staff seemed not interested in providing good service. Either by attitude or insufficient training, I'm not sure. It is a newer resort, perhaps Iberostar had problems getting experienced help. The food was typical Cuba. Mostly had to stick to pasta , rice and bread. The rooms were ok although my safe was not working 1st night and the tv remote for 3 nights. Ants were a issue, I killed about 8 a day, but they don't generally bother me, nor did they bite. There is no real water, beach area. The Sand is dirty and never raked the week we were there at e end of January. Over all, it was the least favorite resort we have been to, unfortunately. Poor service and food over all (completely forget the snack bar at any hour, worst service I have ever put up with anywhere) Too bad, we were looking forward to this vacation. We are already looking to return to Cancun or Jamaica next January.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing Resort!

This resort was absolutely amazing. I have traveled to mexico more than 10 times, and this was absolutely one of the best resorts I've been to. The property is perfectly kept, the staff is amazing, food is out of this world, the main pool is incredible, and the beach has an awesome setup! They change the menu everyday, keeping the staple items & it was awesome. I usually get sick as I have a sensitive stomach, but I didn't have an upset stomach at all this year (which says a lot). The main pool is where we spent most of the time and its awesome. The bartenders were beyond friendly & make great drinks! There are also bars everywhere so no shortage of drinks! The entertainment staff was incredible, very friendly & put on great shows every night. They could have done more activities during the day at the pool, but we kept ourselves entertained so not a big deal. The only real complaint I have would be the checking in process. Its quite slow & we had some members from our group have issues (some had to wait 2-3 hours for rooms to become available,) but everything was eventually resolved & they were very apologetic for any problems had throughout the week. This is a great resort for all ages, especially families with young children due to the water park, and lots of other areas designated for children! Awesome place & can't wait to go back!

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Fantastic holiday! Great resort!

We travelled with a large group of family and friends and everyone had a fantastic trip! Rooms were spacious and really clean (which we appreciated). Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Phenomenal Resort

This was by far the best resort ever!!! The staff knew all of our names in 1 day and never messed up there were 29 of us, loved all staff, friendly,helpful, rooms were spectacular,grounds amazing food top notch, this is a fantastic resort. Would go there again and again, you will not be disappointed in fact you will want to rebook..I give this a 5 ***** +++++

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Third time’s a charm

Third time to this resort. Food was excellent, rooms real nice, and the animation team fantastic. I think the bathrooms are in need of being updated, but not too bad.....another year or so. The staff work really hard and seem to enjoy what they are doing. We saw quite a few staff from our previous visits and they have not sciped a beat. The beach is nice, but not very long if you are a beach walker. Played golf at both WhiteWhitch and Cinamon Hill. Bermuda grass killed me, but winter gol [... read more]f is better than no golf. The resort is about 20 minutes from the airport which is handy and the golf courses are both in between the hotel and the airport....so very convenient. Go and enjoy yourself.....like we did.

Hotel Mojito: Words can't describe it

We have visited this hotel many times and have always enjoyed our stay. We thought that with Irma's devastation the hotel may not be able to recover. Viva la Cuba they proved us wrong on so many levels the love warmth and hospitality remain the same or better than always but the staff are this hotels greatest gems. Each person on the staff do their best to ensure that everyone feels at home comfortable and included.
