Riu Palace Pacifico: High expectations!

Hotel is very nice, well maintained and clean. As it was a fair bit more price wise than the Riu Vallarta, I had high expectations all around. The pool area was nice as was the beach but there is a shortage of bathroom facilities with only one by the pool under the buffet area and the other off the lobby area. Main Buffet had a lot of variety, the lunch buffet at the Toscana restaurant was poor as nothing is kept warm enough. Poolside barbecue daily was good! Ribs there were delicious. Hotel catered more to the senior crowd and we’re not quite there yet so maybe in a few years it’ll be perfect!

Riu Playa Blanca: Amazing Resort

We really appreciated the hotel, services, grounds, pools, food, cleanliness. The corrective response to a problem from no hot water in shower or the cleaning of fridge after a frozen pop burst need more attention.

Riu Playa Blanca: Awesome resort and holiday!

The hotel is amazing. You wont be disappointed. The foods is good, the beach is excellent, the weather is perfect. The staff at the hotel are wonderful. If you go you need to take a tour into Panama City....the Canal is awesome!

Riu Merengue: Ok family vacation

Very large resort. We stayed in the Merengue Village. The buffet was not opened in that section (only opened the following week) so we had to walk to the Merengue Garden. We were travelling with our children and my father therefore a lot more walking than we would have liked. The line ups at the buffet where very long since the resort was sold out and one buffet was not opened. Changed rooms after the first night since the AC was not working and the room was a lot further in the Village. We  [... read more]got a room closer however the AC was not all that great. For a family resort, I was surprised with all the smoking ANYWHERE on the resort.. Seemed everyone was smoking and it didn't matter if you were at the snack bar, pool, lobby (trying to hide from all the rain we got). The food tasted good and the variety was good.

Riu Republica: Great vacation!

We stayed with 2 other couples at this resort and had a fantastic time! Resort was big enough to have lots of restaurant options but not too big to require shuttles. Beautiful grounds, immaculately kept. Friendly hardworking staff. Excellent food. Lots of beach/pool loungers, no matter when we arrived for the day.

Riu Flamingos: Awesome resort,staff and beach.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Riu Jalasico ,on first impression of the lobby I wasn't overly impressed,it was ultra modern ,we prefer a more tropical Caribbean feeling. However once we walked through the lobby into the rest of resort we were very pleased to see the beautiful landscaping with mature foliage ,trees and flowering bushes. The staff were very helpful in all the restaurants and bars,cleaning staff seemed to going none stop. The beach is nice and level and quiet enjoyable to walk . The only major down fall was many of us were departing late in the day or evening and they didn't have any rooms available for late check outs,having to be out of your room at noon and not leaving the hotel until 10 pm seemed somewhat difficult .

We had an amazing week at this resort,everything was wonderful, very clean, welcoming staff, including everyone from the front desk to the housekeeping, servers, chefs, grounds people & entertainment Very easy to get around resort, pool areas nice, very clean, beach was fabulous Food amazing, nice variety Guest rooms clean, nice , good AC/ plenty of hot water Resort nice & close to airport

Had an amazing Time in Bahamas! The hotel and staff were wonderful to say the least! Everyone was so friendly and catered to our every need. We can’t wait to go back for another vacation and recommend Bahamas to anyone who is looking for a place to go on a vacation

Riu Ocho Rios: Great Resort

Fantastic trip ! Hotel very clean, food and drinks fantastic, staff very friendly and accomodating to your needs. Only issue; music is very loud in afternoons around all pools so it is difficult to have aconversation around the pool. Since all rooms also seem to face pool areas it's difficult to spend some quiet time away from the noise after a full day of drinking and before dinner on your balcony but I would go back to resort again.

Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing resorts

Public area nice, clean, food so delicious,service very helpful....will go back to visit again in the future. The beach it's not clean ,,not much sand have some rocks on the beach , suggest make sure to clean the rocks from some area on the beach to prevent the injury ( sprained, get cut....) to the guests.

Riu Merengue: Value for money

Stayed here for a family trip, had everything we needed and no major issues. Buffet was good with lots of options, plenty of room on the beach, staff are friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the ‘villa’ style room buildings with balconies. Live shows every night, wifi in the lobby, easy and quick check-in.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Felt like Home!

Of all our Family vacations in the last 5 years this tops them all! The Riu palace staff are the best! By the second day they felt like friends we've had for years. This resort is clean, beautifully maintained and the food and drinks are equally as good. There is always lots to do like feeding the monkeys, plenty of excursions (highly recommend the horseback riding!!) and the nightly entertainment is fantastic! The beach is a little rocky and the ocean can be quite choppy but nevertheless its a  [... read more]beautiful place to take a morning walk and if you are truly looking for a beautiful beach, Tamarindo is just a 45 minute drive away (highly recommended as well!) We will definitely be back!!

Riu Republica: Great Vacation

I have to say the Riu Repulbica resort is quite a beautiful place to visit. The check in desk was fast a courtesy. The staff on the resort was friendly and the food was amazing. Great nightly entertainment as well as pool side entertainment. I would definitely rate the resort an 8.5 out of 10

Riu Flamingos: Great Resort!

Dining was good. The Italian was the best, along with the steakhouse. The Asian restaurant was the worst and we didn't return and it seemed to be the consensus with about 12 other people we met at the resort. The resort itself was very nice, friendly staff- had everything you could need. Only thing I was missing was decent sushi and hot tubs. Other than that, all good!

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Beautiful

First time at Riu Bachata beautiful grounds and landscape. travelled with daughter and infant granddaughter. Food was excellent. Rooms were ok. Most of the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Only one bad incident - when returning our towels on the last day. The worker was extremely rude to us. I had three towels in a bundle- he grabbed them threw them in a pile and said I only had two towels! He shouted at me and basicly called me a liar. Riu Emerald Bay: AMAZING RESORT

TO START WITH WE HAD A WONDERFUL TIME. THE RESORT WAS VERY VERY CLEAN AND WELL KEPT.4 RESTAURANTS, 3 POOLS, LARGE BEACH, AND LOTS OF ACTIVITIES. IT'S ABOUT 40 MIN RIDE FROM AIRPORT TO RESORT.THE STAFF WERE FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL.I WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK AGAIN.

Riu Republica: Great resort.. sunwing flight will never happen again..

Resort was fantastic.. . Highly recommended... sunwing flight was terrible... we will never fly sunwing it air transate again.. from now on its air Canada or west jet.. sunwing had duck tape holding things together.. terrible seats they are so small and uncontrollable ... no food or drinks for elite plus like us...air translate service is ok but seats again are really tight... but resort was incredible

Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful Resort

We loved the hotel location. Beach was beautiful. The pool was lovely with ample chairs for everyone. Buffets were excellent - great variety of foods. Raul at the pool was always on top of out drink orders and had a great smile at all times.
