Melia Braco Village: Nice place to spend your vacation

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Melia Braco Village. The food and staff were 5 star. The only major issues we had related to our room. Our request for beds and room location, made many months before and asked for before we arrived, was not met. We also had some shower issues which took a day to fix, had trouble with availability of warm water, and the room was very damp requiring constant A/C to be on, even though it was not extremely warm. These were disappointing elements to an otherwise [... read more] great locale. A quiet, yet busy enough resort with great entertainment- classy! Friendly staff and fairly prompt service, but the staff were stretched when the resort was filled over the New Years. The beach, while small, was nice and the snorkelling was good.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Totally awesome

All the staff fantastic and helpful. Entertainment was awesome Rere and staff Orville and Travis all so great. The food was really delicious and lot's to choose from. The maid's were all very thourall clean and fresh. Had the time of our lives.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Clean and great layout

Really enjoyed our stay at this resort. Great layout and really clean rooms. One of the first times where we didn't have to fight for chairs or spots by the pool. Pool was a little cool and not much for kids to do at this resort. Great location close to the airport and on hip strip.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Would not go back

We were not impressed with the resort nor what we were expecting. The food was OK and never changed and the beaches were not the greatest. The service was exceptionally poor except for our maid Nora and one or two services at the buffet that we made sure we had. The others were there only for the tips... would not go back nor would i recommend it to anyone else

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Fantastic resort

We pick this hotel that was recommended by Kevin Dupuis our agent, he was really helpful, he booked the resort and made reservation to our hotel for an overnight stay in Toronto. The resort was fantastic, great location, clean, wonderful staff and the food was amazing! There's activities for everyone, kids/teenagers. My teenagers 14 and 16 years old participated in the resort activities every day, we all had a great time.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Excelente

the hotel was excellent, the bathrooms, the room and common areas always clean. The buffet 5 star a variety of meals, good service in bars, dining rooms. Totally recommended The airline Air Transat had a bad service in the first leg had a delay of 4 hours.

Jewel Paradise Cove: If you like vacationing in a construction site, this was the place to be.

Had we known about the planned closure of the pool & bar, and the electric hammers, tile saws & grinders below our balcony, we'd never have booked. Very poor show. Grounds were well kept, staff were friendly, Chef Ravi & his culinary team were excellent. I am allergic to onions & onion products, not a single incident & that is very unusual in my experience. Ignore what the Sunwing brochure says about the Curio collection extras, they did not happen. Geared for a younger crowd.

Melia Braco Village: Amazing Resort

The Melia Braco Village was outstanding, from the people to the food to grounds. It is a small resort, short walks to beach, bars, restaurants. The staff were great, special mention goes out to Ricardo from 876 Prime restaurant who went above and beyond to assist with our large group and to Pamela who kept the drinks flowing at the beach all day. The New Year's Eve celebration was outstanding!!! Great job! Rooms were clean and spacious. Would definitely go back there.

Melia Braco Village: Amazing Resort

Thanks again to Wendy for finding an amazing resort for our Christmas vacation. Everything was great from the size of the resort to the people. The food was great especially the steak house.We are planning to go back again next year!

Riu Reggae: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly

This was my second trip to Jamaica and the RUI hotel chain. The good: the food was excellent, delicious with many healthy choices, and good variety. The air conditioning system was excellent and beds were comfortable, even the pull-out couch which I slept on, my daughter and hubby took the beds. The service was excellent, pleasant friendly staff that went the extra mile. The beach was quite nice and calm waters for swimming or hanging out in the bay. The Bad: The bathroom was poorly designe [... read more]d with a small separate toilet area and a shower with a opaque glass wall insert and a all in one porcelain 2 sink countertop that didn’t provide much counter space.The Pool was beautiful but too shallow for swimming, which for me is a must. Also a slim to none choice of Premium liquors. The Ugly: The every 5 to 10 minute thundering jet take off from the airport 10 minutes away. All in all It was OK but for me I would not go back, the Ocho Rios RUI resort Adult Building and resort location, pools, and beach were much better.

Melia Braco Village: The Best Resort Ever

This hotel was absolutely amazing!! The food, the people and lay out of the resort were all absolutely spectacular. It truly felt like a home away from home. The staff make you feel like family and are so sweet. There is entertainment every night and you are never bored. The only negatives were the rocks on the beach in the water and the rooms. If you don’t like being in the ocean or unpacking all your belongings during your trip then no big deal. Melia Braco Village: Great Holiday

We were pleasantly surprised with this resort! The people who work here were amazing and made our stay fantastic! Pamela and Chantal on the beach and Ricardo, Fitzgerald and Octavia in the restaurants! New Year’s Eve was so beautifully done! We would’ve liked to see more restaurants and wish we couldve walked a Long Beach walk but the good out weighed the few negatives.

Couples Sans Souci: Seven years of spending Christmas and New Year at this Resort!!

Absolutely love this place - it's home away from home. The staff are so friendly, we got the room we wanted, the grounds are beautiful and well kept and the beach is cleaned every day. Casanova is our favourite restaurant and we usually have breakfast at the Plazarina and lunch at the Bella Vista. This year at all the restaurants, we found that the steak was pretty tough but after talking to Pierre, (the manager) they will be changing their butcher. Hedonism II: Best Vacation Ever

The hotel, staff, food, service and cleanliness were all top notch. Could not complain about a thing! We were in one of the updated rooms which was great. Trying to figure out how we can afford to go back soon.

Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall: Awesome Resort !

Our consultant Debbie Maguire recommended this resort as our first time Jamaica, from the time we arrived at the hotel the service and atmosphere was great, rooms were clean and updated. Pool and beach areas were great, never crowded and always clean, the bar/drink service was very professional and always happy to help! Shout out to Kenroy at the bar and Anthony on the grill. Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Amazing Vacation

I love this resort you can stay on the luxury side or take advantage of the large resort its combined with. Easy to get around with the taxi carts.Service was amazing and staff was very friendly. Resort was clean, tonns of activities and entertainment and the food was exceptional. We will more than likely return. The hotel was fabulous. Beautiful room, great view, excellent food and wonderful staff. Would recommend to a friend. The beach was small and not that great but the pool was awesome. Our only complaint was traveling with Air Canada. Our flight to Toronto was to leave at 2:30 in the afternoon. Shortly after arriving at the airport, we were told that our flight had been delayed 6 hours which ended up being closer to 8 hours. After waiting in line for about an hour and a half to check in, I [... read more] asked the Air Canada clerk if there were any flights leaving for Montreal, he said yes, I asked if there were available seats, he said yes, the flight left at 4:30 - just two hours after our original flight. I asked to be switched to the Montreal flight, he said he couldn't do that, I asked to speak to a supervisor, he pointed him out two booths down and asked us to step aside, he did not let the supervisor know we were waiting for him and thus his boss kept taking other clients. Our original clerk finally got the "Flight Supervisor" to speak with us and she told us they could not rebook us and we would have to phone the 1-800 number, we asked for the number and she said they did not have it. We could have been home at our regular time, however, as a result of this terrible service, we spend the night, from 2:30 a.m. on in the Toronto airport and arrived home 12 hours late. Our original flight was cancelled because a pilot had taken ill and they had to send to Toronto for another pilot. Air Canada is the worst run business I have ever encountered and neither myself, my husband or the couple we were traveling with will ever fly with them again!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful Getaway!

The resort is beautiful! The rooms and balcony are a great size and very clean. I was scared at first because of all the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. I stayed at iberostar last time, and although I enjoyed it there too, this place was way better. The resort is massive, and we'll maintained overall. If you can't get over seeing a cracked tile and have the urge to give a bad review because of that, you shouldn't be going to a giant resort. The food is great, the Spanish restaurant is ve [... read more]ry good. The buffet is massive, it always has some great options, I never left unsatisfied. Garrick at the far pool bar is great. We were never without a drink! The pool is much better down there, it's away from the entertainment area of the pool and there's decent music playing. We took wonderful pictures with the photography center, definitely worth it. This hotel is a great getaway and I would definitely go again! Take a private taxi and go to either sharkys or scotchys for dinner one night! There was tons of maintenance staff around ensuring the property was well maintained. I saw gardeners, painters, and everyone is very friendly. The cleaning staff were also very friendly, one day she didn't have towels to give us when she cleaned our room, so some were brought to us when they became available. Please tip the staff, an extra $100 total for your vacation will really make a big difference in your experience. They are not rude if you do not tip, but it's just like back home. It's all inclusive, but that's not inclusive of the service, so if you'd like that extra care, make sure you tip for it.

Couples Swept Away: Highly overrated resort

Beautiful beach, clear water, and a generally quiet property were the highlights. Unfortunately, little else at this resort lived up to expectations. Accommodations were in need of updating. Food was average at best with limited selections. Loud live evening music was played at the buffet well before dining hours were over so a late quiet meal at the buffet was impossible. I realize that marijuana is as common as cigarettes in Negril, but to have a couple smoking weed at the dinner table beside you during your meal on New Years Eve is unacceptable. Staff was aware of this as the waitress took a picture for them. Overall, a very poor value for the price.
