Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing resort with lots to offer for everyone
Third time to the Barceló Maya. It never disappoints. We always have the most incredible booking experience with Tripcentral wit the exception of this last time. Sandra Taylor is rude and never gets back to you. I asked her twice for a hotel close to Pearson and never, ever got back to me. I gave up. Then, I called her with questions regarding the Mexico tax and she was rude. Never use this agent. Karol and Wendy Van Z are the best. Highly professional and kind.
Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great place
A very comfortable and stylish complex of buildings, pools and walkways. Rather narrow, but pleasant beach with umbrellas and sun beds. The water at the shore not very transparent due to waves stirring the sand. Some floating seaweeds. The coral reef about 1 km off the shore, available by motor boats on snorkeling trips, around U$ 65 per person. Also kayaks and catamarans for rent (free). Enough restaurants and food to please anybody. The resort located within one hour from Cancun airpo [... read more]
Barcelo Maya Colonial: Good week at the Barcelo
Resorts is very clean. I found the quality of the food in buffet has declined over the past two years. Ala carts are very good.Kyoto and Brassiere were my favourites. The beach area is best in front of the Maya Beach. The Nexus transportation was poorly organized upon arrival. We waited for over an hour for a shuttle to leave airport. The return trip was perfect timely and comfortable.
Royalton CHIC Cancun: Magnifique resort & staff
Everything is excellent with diamond service. The beach, the pools and the staff are really exceptional!!! The food is good but seen better in other resort we’ve been. The night entertainment is poor but ok. We probably book again at that resort, we really loved it ?
Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: This resort is just fine
The service, food, and room are all good, but the entertainment is poor. The beach, pools, and location did not meet my expectations. I would not recommend it to a friend who loves and enjoys the beach as I do. I went into the water with a pair of rubber shoes (Crocs) for just 5 minutes and got hurt by sharp rocks. That was the first and also the last time I went into the water during my stay.
Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: A week in paradise
The grounds were beautiful, the food was great especially the steakhouse. On Saturday nights they do a huge mexican outdoor buffet with traditional dishes. Beach was stunning , not alot of seaweed, and waves were perfect. Pool servers were so nice and attentive, entertainment staff was honestly 5+++ stars, our kids were constantly entertained. Nothing negative to say. Was such a great trip! I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Thank you Carol for all your help.
Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Not so great
We were very disappointed with this Royalton experience. We have been to several but the things we expected as diamond you don’t get here. Everyone is mixed together- no diamond on the beach , no food service on the beach - shows are boring and short. We wouldn’t recommend this resort. There is up charge for everything- bowling, laser tag and decent wine. It’s too bad the employees are not treated properly and the management team lacks professionalism. The employee turnover is extremely high [... read more]
Secrets Playa Mujeres: Relaxing Adults Only Resort
Nicely laid out. Rooms clean. Public bathrooms need attention to cleanliness by mid day. Restaurants nicely decorated. Some restaurants good food others not so.Disappointing to not have alcohol in the rooms. Mini bar not replenished with soft drinks - only by calling housekeeping then took 24 hrs.
Krystal Grand Cancun: Underwhelming
The room was good, always clean. The view was great. English programs were hard to find on tv, often there were none. Getting to the room can be challenging as never more than half of the elevators were working, sometimes only one. The food was mostly disappointing as the buffet had the same salty choices every night though breakfast was ok. We only went to one a la carte (Italian) and were disappointed. The snack bar at the pool was good but only available for lunch/afternoons. Beach chai [... read more]
Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: decameron
We where disappointed been at the decameron complex many times in the over the last 15 years. Not as good as it used to be.The buffets are poor, trying to to book a ala carte restaurant is near impossible. The internet is sporadic most of the time. One of the beach bars was closed all the two weeks we where there.
Grand Oasis Palm: Amazing Resort
The resort was clean, spacious and top notch service. I highly recommend this resort to anyone. The staff where awesome and the food was even better. Could not of asked for a better week in the sun and sand.
Secrets Playa Mujeres: Great getaway resort
As this was our first time in Mexico we didn’t really know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised by pretty much everything. Food onsite was amazing, staff went the extra mile to see to our comfort and wellbeing. Rooms were well kept and modern. Amenities were well appreciated. We were however a little disappointed there was no bottled alcohol in the room. Beach was top notch and activities around the pool area were excellent.
Dreams Puerto Morelos Resort and Spa: Nice Resort
REVISION - please repost - My family and I would NOT return to this resort. During a family stay March 4-11, 2024, we enjoyed the resort to the best of our ability. That said, our flight was delayed a couple of times and the transportation from the airport to the resort took quite awhile - arriving 6+ hours after our original time. We were noted at reception as 'no shows' and had no rooms assigned!!! That took another good hour to get this resolved - finally in our rooms at 6 am and this wit [... read more]
Las Palmas by the Sea: All-Inclusive Really Means Everything!
This was my first trip to an all-inclusive resort and it was extremely enjoyable. The staff provide amazing and friendly service and the beachfront, the pools and restaurants are clean and comfortable. The rooms are the only negative. They are old and poorly equipped with no fridges, no reading lamps, and a decor that is terribly out of date.
Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres: Beautiful resort!
We stayed at the Majestic Elegance for 7 days and we have zero complaints! This resort is absolutely beautiful. The beach was so clean with soft white sand and there were always enough lounge chairs for us. The pool was large and spacious with some shade for when you need a break from the sun. The staff were so pleasant and welcoming. The resort and rooms were so clean and well kept. I wish we could have stayed longer because 7 days in this magical place was not enough! The food and drinks did n [... read more]
Grand Sunset Princess: Very good
We thought it was great, especially for kids. Enough food variety. Swimming pools, buffet and beach were good. Animals at the resort. Entertainment was great, Aladdin and Horror show. Taco bar and hamburger grill, food at the beach was good. Room was cozy and worked well for my 9 and 11 yr olds. Perfect for families
Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Loved almost everything!
Great staff, beautiful pools and lovely rooms. The beach is nice, but the water isn’t great for swimming because of the seaweed, although the staff tries their best to clear it. The only disappointment was the food at the Mexican restaurant. I would recommend this resort and would go back again.

Grand Sunset Princess: We love this resort!
This was our second time at the Grand Sunset Princess staying in the Platinum area. We love the layout of resort. We did a morning and evening walk from one end of resort to the lobby early in the morning or after dinner. The early morning walks were a highlight as that's when we saw the most wildlife (deer, cats, agouti, coati, spider monkey's, birds and of course the iguana's. We even managed to see the turtles under the bridge on route to the Chillout area). I wish people respected the rul [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: RIU Jalisco
Good location on the beach. Cons: You have to pay at least 15 American $ for an umbrella, to get some shade. Hotel is noisy at night constant slamming of doors. A guy tried to break down our door, insisting that we were in his room. Frightening experience. We barricaded the door with the table, so he couldn’t get in. When we called the front desk, they said there was very little security and the guy was probably drunk. Nothing was done about it. There is a gym, there are three treadmills. T [... read more]
