Perfect size, everything within 4-5 minutes walking distance. Nice pools and great beach front. Friendly staff, Maria the drinky drinky waitress was awesome. Nighttime entertainment was average. French cuisine was my personal favourite

Impressive Premium Punta Cana: Great resort!

Had a wonderful couple of weeks at this gorgeous lush resort. Great selection of restaurants and bars. Not a 5 star but with a few changes and room updates it could be. We wouldn't hesitate to cone back if the price was right but not the best resort in Punta Cana.

Riu Bambu: Amazing resort especially for the price!

You could go here young, old, or inbetween. We stayed as a 25~ year old couple and had a blast at the Riu parties as we love to party. you can also stay on site and relax, they also have lots of activities. pool, beach, food, staff were all great. Do not expect 5 star room quality service, and you will have an amazing time.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Ocean El Faro - El Beso

Great hotel, beautiful and super modern. A lot of great features and very accessible. Lots of ramps and wheelchair access. Hotel booking app is poor but works sometimes. Rooms are very damp, cellphones will send error codes that there is moisture in them, clothes will remain damp who trip. AC runs only when you’re in the room so the room gets hot and has to reach temp when you return. Buffet food is okay but the a la cartes are superior. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Very Impressed

DO NOT LISTEN TO THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.This is a very clean hotel / resort with an amazing staff to answer all your needs and keep you happy. The pool area is huge and beautifully landscaped and although the pools are dated, they are well maintained. The beach in itself was a disappointment-waters were rough, sand was not that white sand, lots of louge area above, but the beach to walk on was small. Ya want AMAZING pub style eats .......visit the Sports Lounge and the bar is 24hrs!!!!! The rooms are dated but are kept extremely clean......that said we did not have a screen door ( just glass sliding door) that we could leave open and listen to the waves - no major issue. The entertainment staff / bartenders are the nicest and most entertaining staff that I have encountered in my years of travelling!!!! Would I return - DEFINATELY

Coral Costa Caribe: Beautiful setting near the ocean

The food was super great.....it was very clean, staff was so nice....the only thing that we had not checked was the drive from the Punta Cana was 2 hrs from the Resort....a bit too long for me....... Besides the fact that it was a small resort compare to others it was divine for resting and sunbathing.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Gorgeous Resort!!

We stayed at Ocean El Faro - el Beso which is the adults only portion of the resort. The lobby was incredible as well as the room. The grounds were so clean and spotless! The party pool was so much fun! The beach was very rocky. Swim in the lagoon if you want a sandy bottom. Shared restaurants with families and kids which we weren’t aware of so we won’t be booking this place again. Overall if definitely meets the 5-star rating!

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Disappointing

The room was great, clean and well kept, the service was mediocre to say the least one or two were motivated the rest didn't seem at all interested even though we tipped well at every meal. The resort was very well kept but overrun with cat's, you couldn't eat at the open restaurant's without them walking under your table begging for scraps most of them were pregnant so it's going to get a lot worse, we even had a dog just stroll into the restaurant, none of the staff tried to remove them or cha [... read more]se them out. I would not go back to this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Worst resort ever!!!?

Service was terrible, from front desk, customer service and managers! The service in the buffet was even worse! Food was always cold and not cooked, even coming right out of the kitchen! Allacart restaurants we not even decent. As for the rooms, multiple rooms including ours was infested with bedbugs!,,,,,,,??? You couldn’t even get near the beach, so congested no chairs. I would not refer this place to my worst enemy!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: great resort

Clean spacious room with good view. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Nice beach with lots of walking room and lounging area at beach. Plenty of delicious food with a great assortment. Very user friendly resort and well maintained.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: very nice resort

The resort layout and facilities were very nice as were the rooms and the food. The staff was ready to help and the restaurants were fun with varied menus from Mexican to Asian. We were a group of 11 and staff still managed to seat us together. Added bonus in February of '24 there was virtually no seaweed along the beaches in the area. Golfed at the Iberostar Bavaro golf course on site and it was in very good condition, picturesque and playable. Unaccompanied beach towels hoarded the majority of the chairs at the pool and beach which bothered the non-golfers in our group but the only real issue was the crowds at the buffet. While they built separate buffets for the Domenicana and the Punta Cana resorts, they have converted one into a restaurant leaving only one open. At prime time it was chaotic and not fun.You don't see this at other comparably priced resorts in the DR and they really should go back and operate as designed.

Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Loved this resort

We stayed here at the beginning of February and the resort was lovely! We got a family suite which was in great shape. Room was cleaned every day, fridge restocked. The grounds were well kept and all common areas and bathrooms were always being cleaned/cared for. The buffets always had lots of food with many options. The quality of the food was fantastic as well. A la cartes were great, you can book themselves yourself from their website, have as many as you want. The pool was very cle [... read more]an and beach was gorgeous and no seaweed at all. Staff was pleasant and friendly in all areas. Water park was very fun, no lines at all. My son did get a couple scratches in his back from the slides but nothing too bad. The bar at the water park only serves beer, FYI, so bring a mixed drink if that’s what you’re into. I normally get attacked by bugs when we are away but only got a few bites all week, and didn’t have bug spray on. Only con I can think of is that it can take a while to get served at the bars. The beach bar was very slow, they need some extra staff out there. All in all, this resort is a great value for the price, very family friendly place!!!

Sunscape Dominicus La Romana: Renovation not completed.

My husband and i spent a week at sunscape la ramono in the first week of February. The weather was perfect. The ocean beach clean the food amazing the drinks awesome the restaurants on site were fine dining at its best.the staff were very friendly. A lot of them spoke Spanish and french with broken English. Grounds well kept. We did know prior to booking that Hyatt was still renovating buildings, so we expected this and enjoyed ourselves. Ok this part is the negatives,….Upon arrival the room ass [... read more]igned to us was nice and freshly renovated but our balcony view was over an industrial kitchen with a loud fan and air conditioner. We found it too noisy when we sat on the balcony for us. The staff were wonderful and helpful upgrading us to a room in the sun club adult area not ocean view.The room was smaller and had a musty smell noisy air conditioner but a quiet balcony. Our view was looking at another building the same as ours which was under renovations. The hallway noise of the hotel echo every sound and the doors slamming open and shut was so loud! Conversations can be heard as you pass each doors. Days into our stay our bathroom had a leak in the wall causing the wall to swell with water. The staff and management quickly looked at the issue but could not fix it that day we were leaving the next day anyway. The sun club building it backed onto a construction site which could be noisy during the day. For the price point of the resort it was fine, if you don't mind workers milling about all day. Will not go back, sad to say.

Vista Sol Punta Cana: Would love to go back!

Just returned home Feb 9 after one week stay. The pros, great staff, friendly people. The food was very good in the buffet, some repetitive. Drinks were good and plentiful. Free wifi in the hotel lobby and out by the main pool. Check in was quick. Also the ala cartes were very good and included in your price. They weren’t sticklers for men’s attire. The pools are clean, 1 large busy loud games etc, the other 2 smaller and quiet. The grounds are lush and immaculate. There are peacocks and ducks w [... read more]alking around. There is a bird sanctuary and a large iquana pen. We saw one show and it was very good. The washrooms all over the resort are very clean. The resort is very compact and laid out close together. There is a store, cigar store. A casino is coming apparently. The weather is lovely, we did have some rain but at night there was no humidity or mosquitoes! The cons, the rooms were clean but outdated especially the furniture. Our room had a musty smell that never went away. The beds and pillows are awful. The main pool , everyone gets up early and puts their towels on the chairs even though there are signs saying no reserving chairs. The beach is not very big because it’s been eroded from storms. The chairs are up from the beach and it’s ridiculously crowded on top of one another, not enough chairs. It’s not a quiet relaxing atmosphere at all. This hotel has the worst beach , you can walk either way and the beaches are wide and less crowded. This is the first vacation I’ve spent at a pool, a lot disappointed. The water was always rough with strong undertows, no seaweed. I’m attributing the long lineups for buffet, drinks and chairs possibly because of the time of year. I believe it was reading week and I’ve never travelled in February. We will go again maybe Oct/Nov to see if it’s different.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

This hotel exceeded our expectations. Lots of food and variety at the buffets. We ate at the Italian and Japanese a lacarte restaurants they were both amazing. Top shelf liquor at the bars, all the staff were so happy and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The beach is clean and taken care of. Lots of lounge chairs both on the beach and at the pool.

HM Alma De Bayahibe Hotel: Nice Resort

Beds were hard, it was like sleeping on a box spring, pillows were very uncomfortable. No tissues in the bathrooms. No chair to sit on in the room other than the desk chair. Food: Very repetitive, other than the small section of theme food nightly. They charge extra to what they call top shelf alcohol Very big language barrier with all the staff, unless you know Spanish, no english spoken

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Outstanding as always!!!

Iberostar Costa Dorada gives you everything you want for a sunny getaway. The staff is amazing, the grounds are beautiful, the food is excellent. The pool is large with tons of room for everyone of every age. There is shallow areas for small kids and weak swimmers. Stairs and handrails for the elderly or unstable. The water is clean and the staff are always clearing and cleaning any debris from the trees or the guests. The beach is beautiful and the staff work hard to keep the seaweed clear. It  [... read more]is not always clear but the resort can't control mother nature. The food is amazing. The main buffet has something for everyone. The three restaurants are excellent and entertaining. Sakura is a delicious meal and an amazing show. Overall the only low point of the resort is the vendors they have come in. They are pushy and rude. If you say no thank you they will just keep asking even as you walk away. Some have even been aggressive when you refuse to look. But that is also not in the control of the resort. We have been to many different resorts in the DR and we love this one and keep coming back. The resort is also starting to update and upgrade the rooms to make it even more welcoming. WE LOVE THIS RESORT AND CAN'T WAIT TO COME BACK!!!!!!!!!

Excellence El Carmen: Amazing resort

Grounds were beautiful, food was amazing, staff were exceptional. Only wish the swim outs and the hot tubs near the swim outs were a bit warmer so we could have enjoyed our swim out more. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Easy check in and check out. Hotel was very accommodating to our requests
