Catalonia Montego Bay: Great place

We had a FABULOUS time. Definately going back. From arrival to departure the staff was awesome....rooms were clean.....and the FOOD was amazing! The jerk chicken from the hut was hard to walk by without getting some and the bread was so yummy! The Italian restaurant The Serento was again fabulous-went 3 times!

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Wonderful Resort!

The Grand Bahia was the perfect Resort for our family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with a lovely balcony. The food was delicious and the variety at the buffets was endless. We had an incredible waiter named Rishidi at our evening buffets. He had such a wonderful personality and was so accommodating with our family including an infant and child. The grounds were beautifully manicured and it was a pleasure walking around the resort. We dined at Don Pablo and the Steak Grill which were outstanding. We dined at the Japanese Restaurant, but we were somewhat disappointed with the meal. The lunch buffet by the water served amazing bbq chicken with jerk sauce. The evening entertainment for the kids was pretty good. The only suggestion I would make is that they light their hallways and staircases in the hotel. It was too dark and difficult to see. Overall I would rate this as a 4 out of 5 and would highly recommend for families.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Disgusting smell of sewer in the room when the air conditioning was on

There was a disgusting smell of sewer like poop coming from the air conditioning duct. We couldn't use the air conditioning. The washroom had no exhaust and smelled like poop all the time. We complained, the maintenance guy came to check the room and he said that he can't do anything. We paid $7,800 dollars for this vacation and we got the worst room ever. Many other people were complaining about their rooms. We will never go to another Bahia resort. This was our fifth time in Jamaica. The last  [... read more]four times in Jamaica we stayed at Riu and Iberostar resorts and the experience was great. Unfortunately, Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica was a waste of money. The food is very salty and the ingredients are cheap. There is no air conditioning at the buffet. They had no reservations available for restaurants so we don't know how was the food at the restaurants. The overall service is a 2 star because they don't have enough staff. The drinks are cheap and the entertainment is way too loud.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Nice family vacation

My wife, two daughters and I spent a week over Christmas at the resort for the first time. It was a good fit for us. Our teenage girls met a good group of friends and spent much of their time involved in the daily activities. My wife and I enjoyed relaxing on the beach and around the pool. Food and beverage was done well, two good buffets with offsetting hours along with 5 specially restaurants. It was hard to look at the scales when we got home. The majority of the staff was genuinely nic [... read more]e and helpful, although we did run into a few that seemed like they’d rather be somewhere else, I do find that’s pretty normal in the service business especially at a big resort. I did find the rooms above average for what we paid and the cleanliness was quite good. Our daughter’s are already asking about a trip back to the same resort next year and that sounds good to my wife and I.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Ideal for a family getaway

This resort was perfect for our much anticipated Christmas holiday vacation. While all 268 rooms were booked, there was never a need to get up at the crack of dawn for a prime spot (as we found at our last sun destination) nor wait very long for anything. Waterpark, ocean and pools are all minutes from the rooms - so no 25 minute schlep like in some mega resorts. Food was good and ample - not gourmet but hey this isn't a 5 star. The staff are amazing - from the grounds keepers to housekeepers - restaurant staff and life guards - all were genuinely happy to interact with each other and guests. Being able to feed tropical fish in knee deep ocean was a real thrill for our kids 9 and 12. The many repeat travellers we met confirmed this is a hidden family friendly gem. Shoot. I probably shouldn't have given a good review!

Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton: Great resort!

This place is very grand, and very large! We did a lot of walking from on end of the resort to the other, preferring to walk rather than wait for shuttles. The food and drink were fine as well, and our room bar was restocked daily with drinks. We saw no snacks in our room, but did not need any. The beds were comfy, bathrooms very large and quiet for the most part - the tree frogs were loud when we were there just before Christmas 2017. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: very nice resort

hotel a little dated but very clean. jerk chicken every day for lunch was so good. too many stairs to terrace but good exercise. kids water park perfect. beach great for kids and adults so clear and not to deep. Japanese rest very good also don pedro good. Christmas eve gala good good food lobster tails excellent. had agreat time with family of nine.

Riu Reggae: Excellent

Really can't complain about anything, great food, great service, beautiful people, beautiful resort. We had a great time. The only thing that put a downer on our trip was that it was over Christmas because my wife could only get that time off, so she missed the family at Christmas. Nothing to do with the resort,

Royalton Blue Waters: Outstanding resort

Royalton Blue Waters, Montego Bay is an outstanding resort. The all inclusive truly includes everything....and you will not want for anything else. The food is excellent, in the buffet and a la carte restaurants. There is a wide selection of choices for each meal. The rooms at Blue Waters are large and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and cozy. All rooms above floor 2 are ocean view and have very clear views of the resort and ocean. The grounds are well kept and clean. Pools are well m [... read more]aintained. The beach is constantly being raked to maintain a clear sandy area. The highlight of the resort are the Jamaican people. They are SOOOOO friendly and accommodating. We have met several employees over the years and all have become friends. When we return to the resort, we feel very welcomed and a part of their families.

Jewel Grande Resort and Spa: Great resort

Hotel is newly renovated: suites are great, specious, butler service is good: restaurant service is little slow: recommand it. Will go back . Beach area little small, but private : some renovations still going on but don't interfere with the visitors

Beautiful resort, great food, nice rooms and tons of relaxation and fun! No negative comments from my group! Would definitely come back again. Thanks to Air Canada would have free safes and special extras!!!

We arrived Dec 19 and After reading some reviews I was nervous about our stay. However, I am pleased to say that this resort was really well kept and maintained. Our room was on the 5th floor, beautiful view, loved our room! Food was amazing... tons of variety, nobody left hungry. Jerk chicken was so good! Royalton Hideaway Negril: Hideaway serving Halal food

Beautiful resort, comfortable rooms, quite on the hideaway side, food was not up to five star standard. They did cater to halal meals, which was amazing. The beach was clean and the people of Jamaica are friendly .

Dreams Rose Hall: Christmas Vacation in Jamaica

The accommodation at the Hilton Rose Hall Hotel & Spa was excellent. We did have an initial problem with the location of our room. However, this was eventually resolved. The food in the main dining room and the speciality restaurant was both interesting and enjoyable. Unfortunately there were some minor setbacks: transfers to and from the airport were poorly organised and took far to long considering the proximity of the resort to the airport. Also the Sunwing staff on site (both at the airport [... read more] and at the resort) did not demonstrate a high level of competence. We were actually directed to the wrong bus at the airport which delayed our arrival at the hotel. Despite Tripcentral Agent Theresa Gates providing gift cards to enable us to use the VIP lounge, the experience was not particularly pleasant. The gift cards only provided a portion of the admission cost and didn't allow for booking online. The Mobay lounge staff will sell tickets at the airport, but the fee does NOT guarantee admission! we had to wait in line for quite a while until other travelers left, we actually had a little more than half hour to relax. Partialy due to the flight boarding ahead of schedule.

Riu Reggae: Nice resort, some drawbacks

We had an awesome time at Riu Reggae. The resort was nice and the staff were very helpful. This resort had the best food out of three places we've been in Jamaica. That being said, the construction on the beach was really upsetting. About every twenty minutes or so a tractor rolled right across the shore. And be prepared to hear all the planes taking off from Sangster. Those bad boys go right over Riu Reggae, and drown out everything... Still awesome place though!

Hyatt Ziva Rose Hall: A+

The grounds and common areas were very clean and well kept. The service was amazing, no mater if you were at the beach or sitting pool side you did not have to wait long for a drink or even a snack to be brought right to you. There were so many restaurants we couldn't even visit them all in 7 days. Everywhere we did eat though was so fresh and delicious. The rooms were very basic, but it didn't matter because there was so much to do around the resort you didn't spend much time in your room. We did take a day trip with a cab through the Hotel and it was one of the funnest experiences, Leighton was our driver and he was extremely professional and showed us the sights along the way to our destination. I also met more then a few people who were visiting the Hyatt Rose Hall for their 2nd and third time, so that says a lot.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Wonderful

Everything was to my liking.Beach was great with lots of loungers and shade.Pool same no problem getting loungers. At the bars staff was attentive and service quick .Food lots of variety.Rooms were clean and spacious with great view.Staff everywhere were great.

Breathless Montego Bay: Not impressed

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: wonderful getaway spot

We didn't arrive until after 11 pm and checkin was a bit confused but the week at the resort was fabulous. Accommodations were clean and spacious, food was varied and delicious, beach was clean, water warm, pool great for people of all ages starting from toddlers, staff was friendly and attentive, lots of games and activities with enjoyable nightly entertainment.
