Riu Santa Fe: Love Cabo!!
The resort is great... simple , clean, friendly...staff is awesome! Taco cart in the courtyard is amazing (better 2 years ago when they were serving soup with it) rooms are tidy and clean! Big kudos to the people of Mexico who cleaned it up and are still cleaning after the huge flood that probably took(according to locals) hundreds of lives! Viva Mexico!
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Best resort I've ever stayed at
The customer service was incredible, staff was very friendly and constantly making sure that the guests were taken care of. Fresh food for all meals. Rooms were very clean and restocked every day. Also a beautiful resort!
Riu Emerald Bay: Would definitely return to this resort!
Everything was wonderful except the beds were too hard. We asked the front desk and the maids put a topper on our beds to make them a bit softer. Huge beach, awesome staff, fabulous drinks and food...what more can you ask?
Riu Emerald Bay: great
this is our 12th visit to emerald bay and every time there are little faults.this time the ceaser mix was putered had a chat with some one problem fixed people moan about the elevators is they are that big of a hurry there are 22 floors of stairs waiting for you clean good food pleasant staff who wont forget you every thing is great ex. the airline sun wing it sucks
Riu Merengue: Wonderful Resort
Fantastic landscape and the most beautiful beach with lots of lounges and great scenery. The food was always good no matter what your preference. Rooms very clean and good maid service. Front desk staff were wonderful and the Sunwing rep was very helpful and always available on site every day. Good pool and plenty of shade when needed. Entertainment was good with plenty of auditorium room. One of the best if not THE best we ever have stayed.
Riu Palace Antillas: Rius Palace Antillos
We had a great vacation the accommodations were great. The entertainment team was fantastic and very friendly with everyone, they organized many different activities. The restaurants had great food and the food display was very elegant. I think that they could or should have some limitation on reserving chairs on the beach and at the pool so everyone can have access. There was times when towels were put on chairs in early morning and nobody shoed up till the end of the day which made it hard to [... read more]
Riu Republica: Beautiful Hotel but not 5 Star status
- The room we had was not in the first complex so we did have to do quite a bit of walking, which was unfortunate. We were grateful that they had elevators - Our room was quite large and cleaned regularly. - The hotel is certainly gorgeous in regards to decor - The food was standard of an all inclusive. One unfortunate thing was everywhere we went the dishes were dirty. I had to continually look through the stacks to find clean ones, some of the cups were chipped, tables were not wiped [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Good resort but know that you will spend a lot of time in the lobby!
We arrived around 10am and were told we couldn’t check in until 3pm. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good and everyone had to sit in the lobby for hours. Food was amazing, didn’t go to any a la carts but we have been to the same restaurants in Aruba and they were fantastic. Hotel and rooms were spectacular. Very beautifully done. Staff was fantastic, very nice and very helpful. Was surprised that there were no souvenir shops at the resort and only 1 bar inside to get drinks (with the exce [... read more]
Riu Vallarta: Our Favourite
We have stayed at many resorts in Mexico ----over 20---- We like the Riu Vallarta a lot because of many things---probably the number one event that separates it from the other resorts is the Central Village concept that develops in the evening. The area consists of a large fountain---a fabulous square raised outdoor bar--the open air Entertainment area---access to a la carte restaurants and Huge Buffet all viewable from the 300 seat lobby bar. What really makes it Hum at night is the live [... read more]
Riu Vallarta: Beautiful hotel!
Everything was perfect! Food was very good Décoration in restaurants was amazing! Our room was very clean Thanks very much for amazing “ sculptures “ made by cleanings person! Whether wasn’t so good in January I understand that hotel is not responsible for it. The next time I take another month
Riu Guanacaste: Third visit - will return again
Love this hotel - the food is great, rooms are comfortable, the staff is great. One of our favorite places to stay. Also we prefer the Spanish style of this resort - not a big fan of the new modern Rius.
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Amazing service beautiful resort
We went to this riu palace last week for a 7 day trip, we were not sure what to expect never having stayed at a riu resort before . Our overall experience turned out to be a great one. The servers and hotel staff were so friendly ,helpful, and on top of everything. Every day starting at 10am waiting staff is taking drink orders all over the pool area , (the pool bar area could use some music) the pool bar staff is bar none the best I’ve seen hats off to our #1 bartender Cesar for keeping up wi [... read more]
Riu Ocho Rios: Very smelly rooms
Not a good resort at all. Our room had a very strong smell of mothball and towels very not clean at all. I had a very bad experience with a pillow cases and they were not clean at. On my last day I got food poisened by the resorts food. Do not stay at Riu at all.
Riu Palace Pacifico: Amazing Resort!
First time travelling and it was amazing. The place was spotless. The food was fantastic. With several different types to choose from for even the pickiest of eaters The staff was friendly and very helpful. The pool was clean and not crowded even with so many people there. The beach was wonderful. Staff worked hard to keep it well maintained. Always someone available to assit if need be. They had a great crew to entertain the guests both at the pool and in the hotel.
Riu Ocho Rios: Amazing family trip
Hotel was nice and clean, beach was a mess for a couple of days due to rain and bad weather but was cleaned up nicely. All staff at the resort were very nice. Food was good and Dunn’s river falls was a great experience. Would definitely go back.
Riu Guanacaste: Good vacation with some disappointments
Our flight was delayed due to weather, however the hotel did keep a restaurant open to feed us which was nice. The first full day I reported that the safe was locked, the shower was broken and the hair dryer was barely hanging onto the wall. They did come and fix these items. All the furniture is covered with a glass sheet. I did not report a chip in the glass and a hairline crack in the other glass. Hard to believe, but I saw it with my own eyes...my husband opened the tablet and the glass [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: Definitely going back - but for two weeks!!!
We were thoroughly impressed by the well-kept grounds, spacious and clean rooms, excellent service, large variety of food and restaurants. While lounging by the pool, we had impeccable service from the staff. Always friendly, humble and accommodating. The entire staff went above and beyond for us. This is one of the best experiences that we have had at a resort (and we have been to many). Definitely going back - but for two weeks next time. There is so much to see in this beautiful eco/env [... read more]
Riu Guanacaste: Beautiful
We loved the resort. Our room looked over the front of the resort and the ocean so perfect view. Food was good and lots of it but after about 4 days, we were a bit sick of the buffet food. Ate at the Steak restaurant a couple of times and went into Coco Beach for dinner for a change. Bathrooms had a slight smell that never went away but otherwise, the resort was beautifully kept and always clean. The beach was wonderful and not busy. Morning walks everyday with only the residents of the R [... read more]
Riu Flamingos: Simply Awesome
The star rating for this hotel is perfect or perhaps a bit below. The grounds and rooms are very nice and clean. Food is plenty and in good selection. Buffet service during the meals is ok but varies, for those who wish to have a server on stand by I advise to book a hotel for 1K more. The beach is awesome with soft sand, warm water and waves for everyone to have fun. Note to future guests when going back to your room after 10:00PM please be considered of other guests and keep your voices [... read more]
Riu Vallarta: Wonderful resort!
The hotel and its surroundings were above expectation. The room was specious, very clean, the food was amazing, so many choices, so many delicatessens, the service was very friendly everywhere. We enjoyed long walks on the beach, if not big waves in the ocean, I loved to swim. Every day was sunny and warm - what else to wish?
