Melia Jardines del Rey: Above & Beyond!
Awesome resort! Very big resort but beautiful and modern! Beach amazing as always and staff were pleasant! Can’t expect too my from the food but there’s always a drink for everyone!! Definitely would go back!
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: great staff
tripcentral doing a great job nice to have coupons for hotel and parking we have been to this hotel five times it has really deteriorated since our first time it seems like the management doesn't care about the people working there there is less of everything for them to work with there is not even enough silverware to go around. at one point of our stay after a big influence of guest we had to wait in line for the buffet(not enough servers and dishes) people and us were being told Cubans are [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Superb Resort!
Great for first timers! Brought my parents and parents-in-laws for the very first time in Cuba. We all had an amazing experience, from food, rooms, and beach. Although, the resort has still a lot of potential to be improved, our stay was still super fun & memorable indeed. Kudos to Monika of Trip Central for a job well done in booking all our reservations and for a very good attitude towards new travellers like me & my fam :)
Melia Jardines del Rey: Not as expected
The hotel itself was nice. Rooms were clean. Booked this hotel because of the good reviews on food. Disappointed as all meals food was cold and not much variety. Very little English spoken by staff. Little lighting along paths to rooms. Beach was kept clean. Pools no deeper than a metre. If you like to eat, don't recommend it.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: big resort
I like the hot sun and the wind at this resort I need to exercise a lot because of my heart condition and wish this resort is equipped with bicycle so I can move around or explore the surroundings of this resort.
Sol Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort
This was our 3rd time there this year, Feb, Apr and June. It is a amazing place. The staff treated us like we were so special. When we walked up to the reception desk they said WELCOME HOME which made us feel so good. The staff there are very special from the lobby bar to the actvity guys and girls to the pool bar staff the staff in the buffet from breakfast, lunch and dinner amazing people. By the time we left 3/4 of the staff were calling us mama and papa. As for the food was very good, the ro [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing Resort
Everything was excellent, the room was perfect, the grounds were well looked after, the employee's were very friendly and helpful, the food was excellent, the pool was well looked after, the ocean was awesome, and the weather was great. The only thing I wished they had was a bank at the resort. We needed some cash and had to take the bus to a market, but the bank machine wasn't working. Had to go back a second day to try again, and then it was working.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Great Resort!
The resort and all facilities included were incredible. Beautiful pools and beautiful beaches. Many of the staff were very friendly as well. Buffet food not great, but the a la carte food was amazing.
Melia Varadero: Good resort
Overall our experience was great, no issues at all. The food was average and service was good. But we had an amazing time. The country is beautiful, the beach although it has a lot of rocks on the main side was gorgeous.
Melia Cayo Coco: Relaxing vacation in Cayo Coco
The grounds are recovering very nicely from Hurricane Irma - the gardeners are working around the clock. They lost many palm trees but there is still lots of shade. We are fist time visitors to this resort. I was happy it was an adult only. The beach is wide and beautiful and there is always a breeze to shield us from the sun and humidity. No mosquitoes when we went and I do get stung by them. Some sand fly bites but not terrible. We visited the week of June 9, 2018. Our room was on block 73 on [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: Not bad but staff makes it fun
Rooms weren’t bad...food wasn’t the best but the beach is beautiful! All the staff work so hard and really make the experience! Book a la carte reservations...much better than buffet. This resort is more for couples and older people, while we went on a girls trip we found ourselves relaxing more than part Omg. The beach is never crowded and there’s always a chair!
Melia Las Antillas: Not for honeymooners!
Grounds: The resort looks like a typical Cuban resort. The pools are clean but doesn't have a pool bar. There's also 4 bed type things alongside the pool area to lay and relax in addition to pool chairs. There's a lot of water related activities in the beach and pool so there's tons to do. The gardens are well kept as well but the best part of the resort is the beach. The water is clean and clear. The water isn't too deep so you can swim around and be safe. Public Areas: Not at all impressed [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Bad Resort
I sick now...the food is very bad..The same food every day...Hotel need clean up..rooms very bad....I travel before Mexico and Dominica Republic ..this is real vacation...I afraid when lunch time...Cuba for me done!Melia Marina Varadero if trip central give me 7 days free this hotel I say noooooooooooooo!
Melia Jardines del Rey: Friendly people, 5th time to Cuba, 2nd to Melia
We returned three days ago (Jun 8). People were friendly. There was never a line up for a coffee or drink but there was for BBQ during lunch or dinner time. With this resort, I liked the option to take the Melia voucher and go check out other Melia hotels in Cayo Coco and Guilermo. So I recommend you do the same. We are in our midd 40’s so we didn’t like much the idea of having music in the lobby and on the beach, all the time. I think next time we’ll be going to Melia Cayo Coco for adult [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Beautiful location and resort
Buffet is great for the morning. Evening buffet offers usually the same food however, the hotel has very nice restaurants, gorgeous location and beach. Service is excellent as they aim to please. Great entertainment every night.
Melia Cayo Coco: Great Resort
Resort was close to the airport. Food was normal for Cuba. The resort was a quiet resort which was nice. Staff were very friendly. The age of people going to the hotel was mostly older (50+), but there were young people as well.
Melia Las Antillas: Not so great second time around!
This is our second time at this resort. We arrived in the rain and it had been raining for a few days. The lobby had buckets and towels sopping up the water coming in the ceilings and windows. The ceilings were black with mold. The dining room also had buckets and molding ceilings. Our room was dry though. The grounds of the resort were well manicured and neat. Three of the four of our group came home with digestive issues. One even got the Ducoral vaccine and still had stomach problems. I am ho [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Glad to have returned.
Arrived to a day of rain. We had about 41/2 days of sun. A lot of work had been done since Hurricane Irma but it will take some more time till it reaches the quality that it was before. The staff had been amazing and it was great to see them again with their smiling faces. You can tell that they love their jobs. Our room was a classic room and taken very good care of by the ladies that clean them. The food was good but there were some things that are still lacking but as they said it will be soo [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Where to begin??!!
We arrived at our hotel at 2 am. Getting to our room we were greeted with a towel on the floor wer from the ceiling and air conditioning leaking. This was how they dealt with the problem all week. It rained pretty much the whole time and umbrellas were limited and if you had one it was broken. Trolley cars were not running in the rain and thunder so you had no choice but walk in the downpour to your room. Apparently they had no fries milkshakes or sparkling water?? At the 24 snack bar. Melia Cayo Coco: Same excellent quality as always
Back several times already and will not consider another resort. The personnel is amazing: Abel and Hector and the ladies at breakfast in the dining room, Jose and Robert and Jeanette at the YHI spa and gym (including the life guards - good company at the gym - thanks guys!) and Yoga , the ladies Vivian and Yeoyilani (did I spell that right?) for lunch at the beach restaurant, staff at the reception, the maids, the entertainment crew - absolutely everyone made my stay again great - will be back [... read more]
