Selection Riviera Cancun: Not a 5 star

The resort is small and landscaped beautifully.Room was nice and very nice balcony . Cons- chairs around pools all claimed by breakfast had to get up by 6 to put out towels. Coffee! There is a Starbucks for pay. Maybe that’s why coffee wasn’t offered Coffee offered at breakfast only and not the good Mexican coffee we’ve had at other resorts.. we did ask for coffee at dinner and only two restaurants had coffee. - no special coffees but liqueurs were available. No sports bar to get food late but there was 24 hr room service The only other thing was on arrival late night we had to find our room on our own and didn’t know where elevator or stairs were when we found our building Pros-All the staff were very friendly,helpful and hard working A la cart breakfasts were very good and the four restaurants and poolside BBQ were good Resort was very clean and well maintained Activities offered were good Seaweed this year was horrendous. There was no way they were able to keep up with it but they did work hard

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Loved the resort

My 8 year old daughter had a great time, we loved the hospitality and the service is prompt. Rooms were cleaned everyday. I highly recommend this resort for kids. Many restaurants for option. I would not give it a 5star I would say it’s a 4star property

Breathless Riviera Cancun: INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!!

Me and my wife had the best time ever visiting this hotel... We met some amazing people and were treated like ROYALTY! Food was amazing, people were so generous and caring we will certainly be back. I want to extend a special thank you to Xavier our bell hop who was super accommodating and helpful and to Pascal our amazing server who made us feel so welcome and special! The rooms were impeccable with great views and room service was on time and bang on. Our rooms were cleaned daily with a service you just cant compete with. Selection Riviera Cancun: Just what we needed

We were a group of 9 from 8 months old to 66 yrs. This was an ideal location for us. Every staff member was friendly and each made our needed holiday special. The pools were great for the kids. Staff and fellow tourists were respectful re: covid risk issues. Rooms were bigger and more equipped than we expected.

Breathless Riviera Cancun: Nice resort

Nice, but wouldn't return. Pros. Staff amazing, nice pool close to beach. Cons, No indoor lobby bar, rough pool bottom (it hurts), cold food served too often. A little dirty in hallways, Wine was served warm often. Been to many resorts in Mexico and this was middle of the road.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Nice Rooms

We had a great vacation! Our room in the Tulum section was great! We had a 2 bedroom suite- which was a huge room! The resort was busy- only one place to get the breakfast buffet, so it made it difficult to get food. Only able to get 3 al cartes for the week. The food there was much better than at the buffet. Snack Bars- The food truck was ok- food always came out cold. Andale burger was better!! The beach in Tulum was nice. However, It was very rocky and had lots of seaweed. Barcelo Maya Colonial: Great family spot

This hotel was great for our young family with lots to do for two kids - 2 and 4 years. It was a large resort and we could never have done it all. Beach was the highlight for the kids. Food was good at buffets. Disappointed we could only get one a la cart reservation at a ‘decent’ dinner time - we went to make reservations as soon as we arrived and could only get 9:30pm options. Hotel was almost fully booked but not staff accordingly. Not service in the beach at all. Our only other complaint - and not sure if this was COVID or just the resort rule - you were unable to take food from the ‘beach grille’ to the beach or pool side so we had to pack up our kids for a sit down lunch every day which was tough for them. Overall great stay and we will try it again.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Excellent resort

We had an idea excellent vacation at Bahia Principe Tulum. The food was very good, the weather was great! The staff is very friendly including Eduardo at the quiet bar, Juan at the buffet and Gretel as one of the entertainment hostesses. Everyone is helpful there! The rooms and the grounds are very clean, thank you to all!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very nice hotel

As for Covid masks were required in all restaurants and in the lobby although lobby was not really enforced. The food was very good. The pools were excellent. The rooms were large clean and comfortable. Staff very friendly. Beach was not great so if that’s what you are going for I’m told go further south towards peurto adventurous. Overall this is a legitimate 4.5 to 5 star resort. Would highly recommend and definitely would go back (I’m not a beach person). Bahia Principe Explore Coba: My favourite all inclusive to date!

So many good things to say about this resort but first let me dispel some negative comments. The staff (Fatima our fav) were amazing. Extremely polite and very attentive to any requests from the restaurants , bars, front counter etc… in 7 days, we never seen or had a negative or rude interaction. We received the same service if we tipped or didn’t, keep in mind the tradition of tipping is at the end of the service. Bring lots of US $1 bills. The staff make about $12 -$18 USD for a full  [... read more]8-12 hour day. Even a dollar tip is big in their world. The room was clean and no issues… we needed an extension cord and it was delivered in less than an hour. Cleaned every day. I accidentally left an envelope with about $30 usd on the dresser for the day and it was there when I got back. I should have put it in the safe. Very honest cleaning staff! The pools and activities were fun. It says no pool chairs can be reserved, like all resorts that say this, you still can and do it and no one says anything… get out there at 6:30 am! The sea weed on the beach is expected, it’s that time of the year and nature. Some tips: 1) on the fay you arrive, book your restaurants immediately. Brazilian restaurant fills up fast. The Japanese one is amazing, reserve the seat by the grill so you get a show. 2) book a group bike ride early so you can see all three resorts and where the Casino and market are located. 3) when buying something in the market or Playa de Carma (sp) barter with the merchants. If they offer $30 usd, you should be able to get it for $15-20 at the most. They love to highball to start with. 4) Pool chairs, see above comments. 5) lunches, all kinds of locations. We found an amazing lunch place called the “Truck Stop”, near villa #29. Best chicken wings ever for medium or hot. We will return!

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Great resort

Just like the first time we stayed the resort was great. The room was clean, the food was good and the staff were very accommodating. The staff followed the Covid protocol and ensured you had a mask on when e eye ring the Buffett or the main lobby, they sanitized the tables between guests. We stayed for 10 days which was the perfect amount of time. The only negative was the smell of the seaweed some days. The workers removed the seaweed on a daily bases but it seemed like they couldn’t keep u [... read more]p. All in all I would still return.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: My happy place! 😊

The staff are very professional and seem genuinely happy to work there while working extremely hard to please all of the guests! The grounds and pools are very well maintained, along with the public areas and washrooms. The food was great, and the desserts were amazing.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: 10/10

This was our first time in Mexico. This resort was absolutely amazing. It was so clean, the staff was so helpful and friendly. The beach was a bit of a disappointment because of the size and the coral. But it was also very clean. This will be our destination for years to come

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Wonderful

We loved our stay at the Barcelo Riviera Maya- Adults only. The hotel was fabulous, clean and very impressive. The Covid "policies" were masking when you approached a bar, front desk staff, walked around the buffet and being escorted to your seat in a restaurant you were to wear a mask. When walking around the hotel masking wasn't required. The resort bus also asked that people masked. The property was huge given that you could access all 6 hotels and amenities, impossible to do in a week.  [... read more]We intend to go back.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: wow great resort

From the reception desk, to the room, bar, restaurant , beach ,pool everything was great, well maintained with exceptional staff all around. planning to be their next year for our 40th weeding with the family. would suggest bringing water shoes as some rocks swimming at the beach and bring your travel mug to keep your favorite drink cold.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Excellent Stay

This resort exceeded my expectations all around. the property was clean and well maintained. The grounds were perfect. The food was beyond delicious, always lots and great variety. The entire experience with the TripCentral and Air Transat staff was very easy and enjoyable. We had a wonderful time.

Sandos Caracol Nature Resort and Water Park: Pro’s and Con’s with this Resort

The grounds of the resort were amazing. Very jungle like/rain forest atmosphere. Lots of wildlife running all around. Eco family Superior room was nice, updated, comfortable. I agree with many others that the food was not a strong point here. Buffets didn’t seem to change much each day. Food was tolerable, but more like high end Cuban Buffet. All the others, you just show up and stand in line. There were some different fun activities at the resort. Jade River snorkel tour, Cenote swims, walking tours, photo safari, romantic boat tour. We paid extra for a Segway tour around the resort, which was fun. And of course the water slides were fun for the kids. Lots of slides for all age groups. Beach had a HUGE amount of sea weed so we didn’t spend much time there. All in all, if the food quality doesn’t matter, you’ll probably enjoy this resort. Definitely different from the standard Caribbean resort.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Excellent resort

Beautiful site. Good service. Clean room. Great food. Lots of activities on site. The beach could have a little more sand on it and it’s better to bring water shoes if you want to do more intensive water sports (rocks in water).

Catalonia Riviera Maya: Nice resort but no beach and seaweed problem

This property is very beautiful but my only qualm is the beach was infested with seaweed and there was a strong stench most of the time. Luckily there was two pools to enjoy during our stay the only fallback with the pools was that you had to get up early just to save a chair. Food was good nothing that I havent had before. I will give kudos to the Japanese restaurant which was amazing. Entertainment was a lot of lip synching shows. The only show I truly liked was the Mexican night in the l [... read more]obby bar of Riviera side. c Rooms were dated and there was plumbing problems and AC issues in our room. Overall I would not stay here again as there was no beach and it was too far from the airport.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great experience!

Excellent resort! Staff is very friendly. Down side: Rooms are a bit outdated, mattress are worn out. Beach was nice but a lot of algues. I still have a great time since the staff was excellent and the food was very good.
