Punta Cana Princess: Great staff, quaint resort!
We stayed in the honeymoon suite. Worth it to pay the extra as there are other perks included! Grounds are well kept. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. Wifi is sketchy in many places throughout the resort. Lots of great waves but seaweed is an issue but do best to clean up!
Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Everything You Want
That is what the staff at the Majestic do for you and there was no I am busy or that annoying unaccommodating glance. In the 14 days I was their the staff looked to see what they could help you with. Constant cleaning of floors, grounds and bars Another impressive point was the bartenders you name it they made it, go there and try it. At the time I went the resort had no mask requirement but Canadian Airports did require wearing one on as well as on the plane. So when you got to the DR you cou [... read more]
Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: 1st Time at this Resort
We very much enjoyed staying at Dreams Onyx Punta Cana. One of the reasons we chose the this resort is the fact of the on site water slides and lazy river. We are aware that seaweed can be a big problem in the ocean and on the beach, the ocean and beach were wonderful during our stay. We prefer the beach and ocean, it was nice to have other water activities to fall back on and we did spend some afternoons at the splash park. One of the other reasons we chose Dreams Onyx is that as adults, [... read more]
Grand Palladium Palace: So much to do!
When I first decided to go on an all-inclusive trip, I was expecting my week to consist of sitting by the pool/beach and reading. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was so much more to do, including games by the pool, exercise and dance classes, live shows, water sports, and a plethora of different places to eat. I was stuffed to the max after every meal, I was laughing, cheering, and crying at every show, I was learning to dance merengue and playing water volleyball. I was also never [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: NOT a 5 star resort!!
Totally ridiculous wait to check in in a HOT and festering lobby with no AC. No one offered even a cold/refreshing drink on arrival! After standing in line for long time, I a, 78 year old senior, had to go myself to the lobby bar to get refreshment. Not acceptable for an acclaimed 5 star resort. The mini fridge was not restocked daily as it should be. I had to go out and get my own drinks. The shuttle was not at the stop near my room. Long walk to buffet every day, three times a day! The wors [... read more]
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Amazing Resort
Staff, grounds, rooms and food. All are top level. We've been many times and are never disappointed. Lots of seaweed thus year but can't blame the.resort for the tides. We always get swimup pool rooms.
Riu Republica: Avoid at all cost
We all came back sick and saw many ppl getting food poisoning. This resort is definitely not a 5 star. More like a 3 star. Rooms stink so bad and beds are so filthy Never again. Total waste of money .
Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Bahia Principe Bacaro
The only negative comment I have is that we had mentioned it was our 10 th time booking with them and also our Anniversary and nothing extra was done for us. In the past we were given an a la carte on the Amber side, also a fruit basket.A bit disappointing.
TRS Turquesa: TRS AUG-SEP 2022
TRS is the place to stay if you want clean, beautiful rooms, grounds are very well kept and the food is amazing at the a la carts. Staff really make your stay safe and fun. The beach was a little disappointing all along the resorts but there was some good areas to get in to enjoy the ocean. If you have food allergy's then this is the place to go, lots of assortment
Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing Resort!
Amazing resort! Staff was very professional and friendly. This was our first time at this resort and I must say, I was impressed. Rooms were nice and spacious, well-kept and the bed turn-down service at night was a nice touch! Will definitely be returning to this resort in the near future.
Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Would 100% go back!
Very clean resort including food services (buffet, a la carte dining, and bars), rooms, and common areas. Staff was always helpful, spoke good english and knew what they were doing. The app made it so easy to keep track of plans, entertainment schedule, and any other services we needed. Exceeded expectations by far.
Ocean Blue and Sand: Meh!
We decided to upgrade to Privilege since our Tripcentral rep had requested the 2’nd or 3rd floor (2 adjoining rooms) however we were assigned to the first floor and I had read in other comments that there’s more chances of roaches, etc. Another thing that we were very disappointing in was when we went to return to Toronto from the airport in Punta Cana they said “ we have bad news….†Basically Sunwing had overbooked and did not allow us to pre-pick our seats. Needless to say we WERE [... read more]
Barcelo Bavaro Beach: Great friendly resort
We just arrived from Barcelo Bavaro Beach adults section where we spend the week of 19 to 26 August . . The resort is beautiful , clean and well maintained . We took the premium package which included oceanfront view from the room ( 4086) and a daily a la carte restaurants either in the resort or in the Barcelo Bavaro Palace with a 20 minutes in the spa for hydrotreatment and the option of having lunch or breakfast in the Palace buffet This extra is very much worth it and you enjoy the huge Pal [... read more]
El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Amazing Resort!!!
Modern, luxurious hotel. Food taste so good, lots of pools and restaurants. Service was also good (all happy and respectful workers) Will be staying here again. Great choice you won’t regret trust me!
Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Pretty resort
Clean well maintained but had a bad seaweed problem and hotel was not quick to remove it. Not the most modern rooms shower leaking out and the air conditioning not very cool. Boutique hotel with excellent food choices, coffee and icecream bar and great tropical drinks beach was the only problem if you are a beach person
Riu Palace Punta Cana: Nice Resort
The resort has been renovated to three pools where one pool is full of the usual young drinkers and a fun volleyball pool and one large crowded pool. Summertime is packed and the resort seemed overly crowded. Literally bumping into people trying to get your food. Many choices for food which was nice. However I came down with food poisoning and COVID-19 at this resort. The rooms were not cleaned very well and there was no time in between the previous occupants. A bit of a concern with COVID-1 [... read more]
Ocean El Faro: Good resort but beach seaweed blocked access to the beach
Overall, it’s not a luxury hotel but for it’s price, it’s good value. Service was good and many members went above and beyond. Beach was often inaccessible because seaweed was built up to a very high level blocking access. They only used tractors to move it once in a while but would more often leave it untouched OR just have a few workers use small buckets to move it. If this issue was at least addressed to some degree, the resort value would go way up.
Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Nice resort
Bahia Principe is a nice complex of hotels. The grounds are very well kept and there is a good entertainment every day. There are several pools with swim up bars. The beach is wide and cleaned daily. (Because there is lots of seaweed )
Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing!!!
Resort was amazing, lots of greenery. Perfect for kids with the splash island. Good food choices. Just very slow check in and check-out. Staff would follow-up if your request was delivered to your room. Nice pool but have to be early in order to get a good spot for the shady lounge chairs.
Riu Republica: Best part of the trip was the food and staff
Grounds - the grounds were beautiful and very well kept Rooms - the rooms were clean, a little musty day one, but I got used to it after. They were all white so not as interesting as it could be compared to other resorts but no real complaints. Dining - I LOVED the breakfast! I loved it, ten extra pounds later, lol. The food was great the rest of the day too for the most part. Asian and Italian not out favourites, Indian and Steakhouse were our favourites. People - the folks in the dini [... read more]
