Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Perfect Holiday

Just arrived back from the Luxury Bahia Esmeralda in Punta Cana. This being our 3rd visit to this Bahia resort we were not disappointed. Accommodations were exceptional, staff and service were excellent and food at all restaurants was terrific! The only negative for the first few days was the seaweed on the beach the staff did their best to take it away ... suddenly a few days in it seemed to disappear and the beach was once again pristine. Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: 3rd visit

We love this resort and always have a great time. TIPS We take the mirror off the wall so we have a full length mirror The air conditioning wasn't working in our room and we had maintainace come 3 times saying iit was fixed. Management was rude about it in the beginning but tried to help us out with trying to relocate us. A guest who was having the same problem came and fixed it. She turned it off. We would turn it on for a couple hours a day and it was much better, we didn't have to sleep i [... read more]n our seats I'm vegan and found the choices limited. The juices they add sugar to and the tongs and serving spoons are used for the same food dishes. We tried using the a la cartesian but they only have vegetarian options They are also starting to cater to the European market, their trip prices are a lot less than the Canadian prices The quality has definitely changed. Gray Goose used to be free, now its $6 We do love how friendly the staff are, that its adults only and the adults only section at Akumel. The best part of the beach for swimming is after Tulum on Silver Resort, take the green shuttle We took a separate shuttle which only took 1 hr 15 min with Canadian transfer, excellent service and very fast We might go back

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Very nice hotel

The hotel was huge comfortable and clean . Enjoyed a lot walking around discovering the nature . Would definerly return again when I get a chance . The stuff is very friendly , variety of food was great

The people that work there are absolutely amazing to talk to. Very friendly. Very quick to help you at anytime. The room we stayed in was very nice. House keeping is fantastic. Very caring people. The food is phenomenal. Excellent alacart restaurants.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great time

Clean grounds, well kept, always workers around keeping it nice. Good food. El a cartes could’ve been bigger portions. Never had bananas at the bars for smoothie type drinks but overall good resort for a good price.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Good experience last time, terrible experience this time!

Last time we went in Sept2018 was awesome, this time in Dec2018 was terrible. Extremely long wait times for carts like 30 minutes and over an hour for food after ordering. Poor food and cold. Not enough beach chairs, room leaked 3x and was forced to move rooms on the second last night. When we were moved they tried putting us from the 5th floor to the 2nd, after arguing they kept us on 5th floor and moved us to the pool side which was pretty but very loud. poor customer service. Doesn’t seem to be much of a difference between grand and luxury side after seeing both sides. Will give them one last chance but hoping it goes a lot better.

Bahia Principe Escape Samana: Perfect spot for a fun but relaxing vacation

The Luxury Bahia Principe Samana is everything you want if you're looking for a relaxing but fun vacation. If you plan to spend time in your room make sure to get one with ocean view (most of them face the water, but the ones with a balcony are worth it). But if not, do not worry, as the view from the various spots in the hotel are breath taking. This hotel has the perfect beach size for the number of guests, not too big, not too small, it is well kept and well service by the staff, bar tende [... read more]rs, and butlers. The food is fresh and delicious. Access to the theme restaurants was easy, we were able to get reservations for every night just by using the hotel app. Buffet has a good variety of fresh options and we were never disapointed. The entertainment was adequate, and events throughout the day (mostly around the pool) gave the feeling that there was always something going on. Although there were some honey-mooners celebrating around, I would recommend the Luxury Bahia Principe Samana to a mature audience (40 and up) whom, I suspect, will be able to appreciate the subtleties this hotels has to provide the perfect balance of a relaxing, fun, and enjoyable vacation.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: beautiful resort

This is my third time to the Bahia in Mayan Riveria. I enjoyed each visit immensely. The beach, entertainment, fresh food choices and of course the warm welcoming staff. Only criticism is the prepared foods could be less salty. The beach at Coba and Tulum was a little rocky so bring water sandals but it was not required at Akumal. There is also a beautiful beach at the little Tulum near the second Mexican restaurant Tequila. Its worth the 5 minute walk . Enjoy !!!!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Good and bad

The renovation were very nice, the staff is friendly and very attentitive. The new sports bar and coffee shop are nice additions. The issues I have is it was suppose to be adults only and I paid for adults only but there was children at the beach restaurant that clearly states adult only as well as when I was out in my swim up there was children on the main path in front of me. We all were sick due to the food and our shower flooded and we told staff and they did nothing. They have some hiccups that need to be addressed.

Cayo Levantado Resort: Expectations exceeded!

Looking through the pictures online and reading reviews we had built the expectations of a good resort with decent food and staff. Our expectations were blown out of the water! From the boat ride to the island to the trip home we were pampered. The staff is amazingly friendly and always trying their best to improve your stay. The facilities are clean and modern. Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Nice resort

The report is in a very nice location .. the beach is excellent.. overall the villas and the rooms are clean and spacious but some of them need updating. Room services are good choice for couples and families with babies.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great place to relax

The resort is amazing and huge. The crowd was great. Beach was excellent. We stayed in Esmeralda so going to beach was easy as it is closer. Other resorts there is a buggy ride you have to take that could be a little painful with kids. Only thing I will add is they need to put pool tables in the bar area for adults. Tennis courts are so far from beach that you don't even wanna go to play after a dip.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

Everything about this hotel was amazing all the stuff were friendly, polite. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone that is planning on going to Punta Cana and the rooms were always clean no matter what.

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: Everithing OK.

We spend one week in EL Portillo in December. I tried to remember anything negative and could not. Check in was amazingly fast and room was ready. in our unit everything was working, fridge filled with beer, water and softdrinks. And every day it was replenished. Food and drinks were ok, guys in all bars work very fast and you never have to wait long for your drink. No big waves like in Punta Cana but a lot of reefs close to shore so have to careful when swim, but can watch fish around them. S [... read more]ervice's good organized -I have some problems with seif, called "0" and in several minutes guy was at our door. Resort is pretty small, they arranged place outside for shows but everybody sitting on the same level and stage very low. Bar in the lobby closed at 11 p.m. I think its pretty early. And would be good to have big numbers of buildings so you can see it from distance, now there are only small signs close to entrance. This resort is very good for somebody who looking for small, quiet place.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: very big with many young people

The grounds were extensive, the food was out of this world, the big machinery on the beach removing the seaweed made it sound like a construction zone. the workers were great, helpful, friendly great service.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: nice

Grounds were very nice, food 7 out of 10. elacarts needs work but Brazilian was fantastic. Drinks seemed watered down which is a change from last time I was there. Employees friendly. all in all very good.

four of us Spent one week Dec 6-13 at the newly renovated AMBAR BLUE not to be confused with the other six properties attached to this adults only resort I love the ambar have been a guest there over 7 times (twice this year ) there is really too many nice things to focus on -- so I will start with the rooms they have changed it all colours services the rooms are great (no smell of mold and damp which at a beach resort is usually the case) nice GRohe hardware, king bed a little hard but you [... read more] can order a topper to make it softer, nice bar area and fridge well stocked but sometimes they forget so just ask for what you need and you get it right away swim up rooms ground floor only and worth it fantastic hundreds of tv stations and great wifi lighting in the rooms concierge service helps to avoid trips to the main desk our man was Elvis staff many of whom are newer (lots of my old friends moved ) but still excellent too many to name at the two buffets and bar the two head waiters at Portofino and Meat are very good highly recommend these two places and Nikkei Mashua at the Aquarmarine next door a real food experience and marvelous cocktails a must visit to all three of these I heard that Limbo was good but didn't make it (at least friends from Milan Italy thought the Osso Buco was great) service wonderful had no problems though I am sure with the amount of people at the resort there are bound to be slip ups but do not be shy about any missteps the management want to know you are happy and well served so step up and ask politely spanish is helpful but lots speak English they will endeavor to please they make you feel special so ask do not assume did not use the pool our group of four were ocean people now the seaweed problem something nature has decided to display but the hotel does an over the top job of removing it constantly so we didn't miss one day of swimming in the marvelous waters the beach is becoming too crowded and we had to get up at 4 am to claim a spot nearest to the water as I had issues with a bad foot and we only had one instance where an ignorant couple decided to move into our area when we were having breakfast but we solved that by explaining that we came out at 4 to put down our towels and they should respect that it was the only time we had a problem but there were several issues of this in other areas the first come first serve works for the most part but some people can be really nasty when you get a space they had the day before but they didn't get up in time to claim it security guards do nothing about this as they are technically not allowed to intervene unless you are from another resort in which case if you do not have a bracelet they send you packing the accessibility area is good for wheelchairs and walkers but it is not near to a washroom servers come around and are very good even delivering ice tea and juice without asking nice touch we asked for an received the rooms and the al la cartes reservations we wanted verty pleased the coffee bar serves the best espresso and coffees but needs to be open at the same time as the buffet there was lots of entertainment which doesn't interest me that much I go for the relaxation and quiet but I think some people need diversions they are trying to make it a little more like a festive party people were enjoying themselves which is goodchange is happening so those we remember the old ambar might find the new one a more active than the old one but still a great experience we are looking forward to returning next year this resort is fast becoming our vacation cottage friendly and just like home

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Amazing resort..

This is our second return to this hotel and we are very pleased with our stay. Food is excellent ,and the service with smiles is constant. we will definitely be back again. the 10 minute travel to the beach is still every 5 minutes and access to the other 3 hotels is great. beach has more algae on it , probably due to weather but still walkable. Bus ride to get to hotel is very long , 1.5 hrs..so I suggest booking a shuttle or private taxi . if you are a red wine drinker, make sure  [... read more]you say NO FRIO (room temp) or they will serve you cold wine.

Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Dream came true

Great experience, beautiful place to be and most amazing staff. I will be back soon. Arrival to the hotel, check in and service by the hotel were very well organized. Different restaurants, varied food choices and quality were all there.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Amazing resort

The resorts are amazing and alacarte restaurant are great all the staff always with smile easy going to other resorts I love to go back there thanks to my agent bill for his advice Very clean and mini club has a lot of activity my daughters still talking about there the beach in not good for swimming with a lot of rocks otherwise everything is amazing
