Riu Reggae: Awesome times!
Great staff throughout, always willing to help with a smile. Never heard “noâ€, no matter the request! Great food, with lobster too - try the lobster dish at Kulinarium, and we even had lobster st the buffet one night. The entertainment- OMG, what a talented, hard working bunch! Awesome choreography throughout, with some some ver creative, funny acts up theirs sleeves too!
Riu Palace Aruba: good resort
i was pleased with the resort, the food was all good, rooms were clean, beach is great and the pools were good. The staff were very nice to work with if we needed anything at all. Best of all the weather was fantastic!.
Riu Reggae: Great Resort
This hotel is the perfect size. Everything is easily accessible and conveniently located. The hotel is new and very well kept. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and they work very hard. The food was fantastic. The buffet had quite a variety and was changed regularly so it did not get repetitive. If you enjoy jerk chicken, the jerk chicken hut on the beach for lunch was awesome. The best restaurant in our opinion was the steakhouse. The asian a la carte was a miss. T [... read more]
Riu Palace Punta Cana: Riu Palace Punta Cana
I selected this resort as had been to one in Jamaica as was pleased. While the hotel is older it was majestic. The rooms were older looking but everything was very clean. The first room was musty but moved to another room facing pool and was happy with that. The Jacuzzi didnt work but with in minutes of mentioning this to Sunwing rep it was repaired immediately. Pool small but spent most time on beach. Ocean rough most days but the beach spectacular. Food was great and presentation amazing. [... read more]
Riu Emerald Bay: Attractive resort
The rooms were nice, but if anything went wrong eg. tv converter you could try for days and not get resolved, The food was ok not fantastic. entertainment not good every thing in Spanish, would be wise to up date microphones and speakers terrible could never under stand anything spoken. The beach was the best thing going nice sand and very long great. At the resort nothing to do except go to beach. This resort could be so much better
Riu Santa Fe: First Riu experience
Overall we had a great stay! This Riu is a little dated but the rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was friendly and all our requests were met. Pools-infinity pool overlooking the ocean was great but can get a little crazy later in the day. The 'family' pool was good for a more quiet setting. Found not having poolside service made the swim up poolbar area a bit wild(not sure some people ever got out) Also didn't like the alcohol bottle dispensers in the room when traveling with teenage kids [... read more]
Riu Palace Costa Rica: I'm still full of food!
This resort is #1. I have no complaints from beginning to end. They go out of their way to keep all guests happy. I did not see one spot of garbage they are constantly cleaning. They have a lot of staff and place did not feel busy while it was at full capacity. The food is amazing and you can always get food as well. Lots to do and see. Highly recommend.
Riu Republica: Ok
The resort was new, large with many pools and restaurants. It was very clean and the food was good. Seems like we were there during Spring Break as majority of the people were 18-25. Several people Had to be removed from the pools in wheelchairs as they could not walk. We tried Asian and Italian restaurants, both were great. We walked out of Indian and Steak. Buffet was good.
Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort
We went with a group of friends and had a great time. Good food, lots of variety, clean, friendly and helpful staff. Our friend had her cell phone stolen from her chair on the beach so guard your belongings and don't leave them unattended. The best part of the trip was the weather. We went beginning of January and it was hot and sunny every day! It rained a few times but never for longer than a few min and even then it was refreshing and still warm.
Riu Santa Fe: VERY NICE YOU WILL LIKE IT.
Over all very good. The steak house needs a new system to eat there. Line up and wait 2 hours to eat just didn't work for us. Also needs more staff as it was understaffed on both occasions .All other restaurants were fine. Clean rooms with good room service . All staff very pleasant and helpful.
Riu Reggae: Decent resort
Lobby: nice but small - loungers smelled musty Bars: good selection and good service Rooms: very nice, clean and stocked, terrible view of wall and barbed wire fence Public areas: nice, clean Dining (buffet) - good selection, taste OK to good, service hit and miss Dining (al a cartes): selection and taste OK - good, wait times were acceptable except the last night when 2 of them were closed and they no longer provide the electronic wait devices, service OK Staff (hotel): very nice an [... read more]

Riu Reggae: Nice resort
Most rooms are nice but there are some located right above the kitchen exhaust fan. It is all that you can see and smell. It is also noisy if the balcony door is open. The food is not the greatest at the buffet but it is quite good at the a la carte restaurants. There is almost all the time a line-up for the a la cartes so, some benches/sitting in front of the restaurants would be nice. The drinks are ok but not top shelf as described on the resort's web site. The staff is very frien [... read more]
Riu Negril: Another fabulous vacation
I really enjoy this resort. It has all of the amenities. The beach is not the greatest to swim in due to the seaweed but there is always the pool. It would also be nice to have coffee machines in the rooms as it is a long walk in the morning to get one. (Who am I kidding, I need the exercise!)
Riu Palace Antillas: Exceeded our Expectations
Firstly let me say that the people of Aruba and at the hotel are extremely kind and professional. We couldn't get over how clean everything was and how well run the hotel was also. There were always managers around asking if everything was good and if they could do anything for us. We had connecting rooms which was great as we were a family of 4. The food was absolutely amazing and always a variety. With all 4 of us liking different things we never went to bed hungry. They had live music pl [... read more]
Riu Republica: Very good adult resort.
We stayed the first week of January 2018 at the resort. Pros: great beach, lots of activities within the resort, rooms are great, lots choice of food at the buffet, many pools Cons: food at the a la cart restaurants, staff don’t speak English, overall service is lacking
Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Fantastic Experience
Hotel was wonderful. It was kept spotlessly clean. The rooms were large and well maintained. The housekeeping staff was friendly, obliging and did a great job. The property is exactly as promoted. Though it was Christmas break and fully occupied, there was abundant staff to look after your every request. The staff were all very friendly and helpful as were the Sunwing ground staff. The flights were on time or early! The food at the Riu Palace was very good and everything was indeed all inclusi [... read more]
Riu Palace Paradise Island: Rieu Palace Paradise Island was amezing
we love everything about the place, staff where great, food excellent, grounds perfect very clean. I would fully recommend everyone to go. There was a lot stuff for you to keep busy or not your choice.
Riu Playa Blanca: Really liked the resort!
The hotel grounds and lobby halls, rooms, washrooms were always very clean. The main areas & hallways are all painted white so it looks very institutionalized. The staff is friendly and very professional. If we can complain about something it would be that you had to stand in line to get into the restaurants... this set up did NOT allow you to reserve a time and day... the RIU really needs to review this because we always gave up waiting and then had to go to the buffet (that is available a [... read more]
Riu Playa Blanca: Surprisingly pleasant resort
Nice resort, clean rooms , staff works hard all day long. English should be more present, pools should be cleaned once at least in a day, lots of people use these pools. Nightly show should have real talent, meaning actual singing and actual own routines not only Spanish dancing routines. Meat, real tough most of the times, need to get knives that cut, New Years was the best food all week long, just cold unfortunately! Reservations should be used to eat at the restaurants, because of language [... read more]
