Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful resort
This was a very beautiful resort. We had the royal treatment ... The grounds were so pretty and well taken care of .the rooms were large and comfortable and very clean . The food was pretty good. I still craved what I couldn’t get though haha .burgers and fries at the snack bar by the tennis courts were amazing . Night time Shows were pure talent . Staff so friendly and helpful especially yasnivy our butler. This is more pricy than I could normally afford but thanks to airmiles vouchers [... read more]
Memories Cayo Largo: Excellent Resort (for Cuba)
Hotel grounds and rooms were all well maintained. When problems were encountered, they were addressed quickly. One could always find something to eat, though it wasn't always hot when it was a hot dish nor cold when it was a cold dish. Flies and cats and birds were a problem in the open-air restaurants, which is most of them. Staff was friendly and, in most cases, very eager to accommodate any need.
Melia Las Antillas: Not alot to complain about
The people are wonderful! We had fun with Annie and the pool staff. The dining staff were excellent too. My husband's and my room was great, yet my kids room was musty and damp(even the sheets). My kids asked me not to say anything as they were afraid they might be moved to another building. It certainly didn't spoil our trip. The food was good and we certainly didn't starve, yet a little repetitive. They supply various condiments to spice it up if you choose to. The grounds are well maintai [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing resort and excellent service!
Rooms were clean and spacious, beautiful beach and plenty of chairs. Food was very good, excellent service overall! You can buy card to use internet. Connection was pretty good. Entertainment was very good.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great hotel
We have been to Cuba 18 times and this was our 10th trip to Luna mares because we were most satisfied with it. The grounds are well kept and scenic. Entertainment is excellent. It has one of the best beaches with lots of shade trees and umbrellas. The rooms are dated but clean. The maids, waiters and all employees are very friendly and helpful when needed.
Hotel Vigia: amazing resort
The staff is amazing they go out of there way to help you always happy and want your stay to be excellent and fun. The food is great. the rooms are a bit outdated but nice and big and clean. Many activities during day and night. Smaller resort which is nice you see same staff and they are happy to see you. This resort is for relaxing as nothing really around the resort but can walk the beautiful beach for miles.
Melia Cayo Coco: Boring nothing to do at night
I went with my daughter and we both found it very boring at night. The entertaiment in the lobby at night is for older people. Thank god for the billiards bar that's where we spent our time. The rooms were nice and clean so was the beach. There was a lot of mosquitoes at night :( We mostly ate at the buffet food was good. Service at the pool restaurant was not good took forever to get our food. The smell is awful when you walk by the lagoon rooms. The resort was okay but I will not be returning [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: REJUVINATING
My husband and I went to Melia Cayo Guillerimo last week. We had such a perfect, relaxing time. My husband has never been to Cuba before and he was very impressed with it all. I personally, have been 6 times. 4 times to this resort. Yes, the room and facilities are dated somewhat. They have survived a horrible hurricane in the fall last year. The staff worked very hard to bring it all back. I am not one to look at the negative but would rather focus on the beauty and maturity of this res [... read more]
Melia Las Antillas: The outside pools and gardens were amazing.
I just got back May 10/2018 For the price overall was fair. I maybe a bit picky cause we meet people that have been going to that same resort for over 10 years. I found the staff accomadating but not overly friendly. In the past I have visited resorts in Cuba and the staf were entertaining. I was disappointed with the linens and towels they were clean but very old. I like going to hotels that have nice white plush towels and devet style bedding. BUT EVERYTHING WORKED. We met people from othe [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: 3rd Time's A Charm (Why go anywhere else?)
My girlfriend and I returned to "our" resort for our third trip in two years from May 4th to May 11th and already can't wait to return. It is the one week every year that we feel we are truly relaxed and so totally spoiled. Being greeted at the front desk check-in with champagne and a cool wet towel is a nice touch every year. Our room in building 42 where we love to stay was spotless and well air conditioned and our balcony facing the lobby side lets us hear the nightly entertainment on the few [... read more]
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Great resort
We were all very happy with the resort. It was beautiful, very clean, and easy to get to everything. The few problems we had were corrected Aimmediately and everyone was nice and helpful. We had power outages but that was out of their hands although they could have had emergency back up. The only problem was the food, it lacked variety and quality of the meals were lacking. This is a resort that we would like to return to.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Wouldn’t go back
We felt the hotel was too big , not the personal touch and can’t get to know the staff. The concrete walkways with big gaps very dangerous. Night time shows not very good. Everyday the food was the same. No activities planned for rainy days which was everyday. Housekeeping not very good in our room. The drinks were awful. The beach was fantastic ‘
Tryp Cayo Coco: News to be revamped
Awful Run down Dirty snack bar br /> We moved to Melia Jardin de Rey after 3 nights at tryp . No staff Bad wine Bad snack bars They new new ownership to revamp the place Customer service was good. She moved us
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: The beach is the best!
Good resort in need of some renovations. The food is always the same everyday, but they have a lot of choices on the buffet. The beach is the best. Spectacular! The last days of our stay there was a lot of algae on the beach.
Sol Cayo Santa Maria: We got spoiled!
The resort was not luxurious- but it was beautiful, clean, and quite perfect for me, my mom, two boys. The staff are so kind, and always went above and beyond anything we expected. The entertainment was awesome, and the planned activities for the kids were always a hit. I felt like my kids were safe at all times. The food wasn’t the greatest, but my kids still loved it- and we never went hungry. The beach was in a convenient location, and was the most stunning one I have ever seen.
Melia Jardines del Rey: You get what you pay for!
The resort itself was beautiful and they have great live entertainment (kids and adults). Our room had an amazing view. However, when it rained we noticed our ceiling leaked in two areas. Also, our sink tap leaked. BRING WATER!! You get 1.5L once daily, even if there are 3 people in your room, and twice our room did not get stocked with water. We asked the bartenders for a bottle and they all told us no, glasses of water only.... The food was okay, but it’s Cuba- we did not expect top of the [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Another Great Trip !!
Had a great 2 wks at Sol Rio de Luna Y mares, beach is awesome, staff were great, food was good, tried all the a la cartes and not disappointed , stayed in Section 6000 of the Luna side where we were close to everything. This being our 5th trip we will definitely be back again !!
Melia Jardines del Rey: Disappointed and Confused
I am confused because there were so many reviews that reported this as a 5 star resort with "clean rooms and great food". I am sorry to say that I experienced neither and that disappointed me. Without getting in to too much detail, I have travelled to close to 10 resorts in Cuba including Varadero, Cayo Santa Maria and now Cayo Coco and by far, this was the worst as far as food and room cleanliness goes. Many of the staff seem unhappy with their jobs. The beach was beautiful and they do [... read more]
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great resort for the price
I’ve been to this resort 3 times now and would definitely recommend it. I love how there is two pools because one is more party ish and the other is more chill so it is nice to have the choice. The beach is very close and there are plenty of chairs to go around. The food is decent, I’ve never gotten sick or heard of anyone getting sick from the food there. All of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. One down side is that check in was extremely slow this last time I went. We were [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Our Cuba Cottage resort
We love this resort when we go for an all inclusive. The site has beautiful landscaping, zero outside vendors on the large and well kept beach, and the staff delighted to see Canadians and share there famous hospitality. The food this year was much better than years before as the site is under new management. Cuban music played live every night and the usual tourist dance shows, both in the pools! and the theatre stage. On each edge of the resort large pools with bars - one for adults and on [... read more]
