El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Amazing Resort !!

The resort was amazing in so many aspects. My and my husband went alone with no children. We stayed on the adults only side, only because it was a better deal when we booked our trip. We spent most of our time on the family side but did spend a couple days on the adults only side at the pool. We also really enjoyed the beach. We were very nervous about the beach as we had read a lot of negative reviews about the beach. They were actually giving discounts on the excursions because they stat [... read more]ed the beach was poor and they were trying to compensate for it. We loved the beach. There were so many chairs available any time of the day at the beach and the pools. There was some seaweed and the first couple days were more intense then the rest of the week but the water was still amazing. At around 4-5 pm each day the flag would turn red and you were not suppose to go in the water but it was still so lovely to lay out under the cabanas and watch. The lazy river was amazing !! We took our own tubes after reading reviews and this was a great recommendation. The pools, and grounds were kept very clean. The buffet was amazing !! Every day there was lots of options and they also had lots of gluten free options which was wonderful. We booked a couple of a la cartes and they were great. The booking system at first seemed really stressful but once you had the app and knew how things worked it was actually very easy to get things booked. You just had to book on the day of. There was no reserving things in advance. The reservations opened at 7 am, so as long as you logged on at that time you could get into whichever one you were looking for. The nightly entertainment was okay. A few nights were amazing (magician, 90's show), but a few were disappointing. Amazing theatre to host in though. Our only negative review to post about this resort was the nagging for the premium presentation. They were in the lobby like leaches. It felt like every which way we went they were targeting us. We did find this incredibly annoying. It was the only downfall. Otherwise we had an amazing time. Wish we would have brought our kids as well because it was very family friendly. Also the weather was amazing. Only a couple hours of rain the whole week in the day :)

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Worth the Trip

Very good, very clean hotel, great staff and service (especially Margot who went out of her way for us). My only complaints were the damp bedding from the air conditioning I assume, but they were changed when I requested and everyday automatically. Saturday was the focus party day, great job at that on Saturday, just wish it was all week long since this is a party resort. The beach while we were there had seaweed washing up, but they did attempt to keep it clean.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Ocean El Faro Hotel Vacation

I just came back from our vacation, This was an amazing trip to this resort, my wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Ocean resort and will be going back at some time again. The food was good, the room were cleaned and the activities was great! The air Canada rep (Juan) is excellent at taking care of Canadians, he is worth the praise, he answered all our questions and take care of us while on the resort. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Just Average - Dreams P.C.

My wife and I and 2 sons,, aged 17 and 19, have travelled to many locations in the Caribbean, including the Dominican Republic on 3 occasions, (Margarita, Antigua, St. Lucia, Aruba, Turks & Caicos, and others) in the tropics. So, we know what we want and for many of the things we were seeking, Dreams Punta Cana was only average. 1. Beach: Very important to our family and this was an unabashed disaster! up to 4 feet of seaweed on the beach with almost no effort by the staff to remove it. We [... read more] are a beach (not pool) family, so the sight of this much seaweed rotting in the 32C heat was smelly, to say the least. We were unable to swim in the water due to this problem,, so my teenage boys were not pleased.. I feel that our travel agent should have identified this issue for the summer months in the DR, in order to choose another appropriate resort to suit our needs. 2. Room: Satisfactory but not exceptional for an upgraded swim-out room. The usual smell of mold and mildew which is commonplace in tropical locations was definitely evident in our room, and in our son's room. Not inviting. 3. Food: Buffet was good, but food selection was pretty much the same every day. If you choose not to upgrade (cash grab) to a "Preferred Guest" level, you can only eat lunch and breakfast at the buffet and not select restaurants - disappointing. 4. Restaurants: Although there is advertized over 6 restaurants at the resort, Oceania and Bordeaux were closed for about half of our 7 day vacation for supper. We were not expecting this and when we are on vacation, we expect full access to all restaurants (and all other facilities) every day that we are there. 5. Towels: The towel booth opened at8:00 am each morning and by 8:45 am, they were all gone. Replenishment usually arrived not until 11:00 am, so this definitely needs to be improved. Since the beach was not useable, most of the resort population hung around the pool, resulting in this towel shortage, Unacceptable -. 6, People: The Dominican people could not have been warmer or more hospitable with us - a truly welcoming staff at Dreams PC, and we were honoured to have visited their island. Hi Juana, Ramirez, El and Guadaloupe! 7. Sales Hype: We found it a bit much to be inundated with sales folks trying to sell you a time share or excursion, almost every time you walked in the lobby - hold the brakes on that please. :-) Overall rating: 6/10. Probably would not return.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Large, beautiful hotel for Adults or Families

Lopesan is a large hotel so make sure you bringing walking shoes. That being said there so many choices of pools for all. Main pool is huge and clean but sadly you can’t see ocean from pool. There so many chairs everywhere so you always find one. Beach right now has seaweed but they clean beach all day long. Restaurant choices are good and food amazing. the room was clean but old , however the public area was good, but the restaurant was not clean we found cockrochs in many of restaurants the floor very greasy and not clean, the restroom below the average.

It was the worst vacation I ever visited in my life. More than 3 hours to check in. The staff were not professional at all .Rarely to find someone speaks English. Rooms were dirty and the service was very bad. Wifi was very slow and most of the times it wasn’t working. Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Decent

Adequate could be better. Seaweed on beach. Wine was like water. Food was 6.5/10. Steak not thick and juicy at steak restaurant, it was more like thin and dry. For the money that you pay i would expect better food and better entertainment for the children!

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Amazing Hard Rock Punta Cana

This hotel was absolutely beautiful. Every detail was taken care of. The service was prompt and excellent. My son enjoyed the kids club. The beach and many pools were spectacular. We enjoyed the Asian restaurant Zen, Ciao the Italian restaurant, and Toro the steakhouse most of all. The breakfasts we had were lovely from the market and many lunch/snacks experiences throughout the resort. It is a large resort but the trolley system was helpful. Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Very disappointing

Very bad experience and not worth a single penny. Cleanness of dishes, spoons, cups is very disgusting. WiFi is garbage Food is not nice. We ate only pizza during our stay Most important, the pools have no filtration and most of the group returned sick with ear infections

Punta Cana Princess: Good adult only resort

The landscaping and beach/pool were well maintained and beautiful. The lounge chairs and shaded huts on the beach were plentiful. The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and attentive. The buffet was very good with a variety of options. The Steak and Italian restaurants were excellent, the seafood restaurant was closed a couple of days during the week so we didn't get to try it. The room we stayed in had a beautiful view from the balcony. The bed was a king and comfortable but the room l [... read more]acked a dresser and the bathroom had no door (there was a seperate glass door for the shower and toilet areas), which I'm told is European style, but small and no privacy. I think overall the rooms could be updated. The seaweed on the beach this time of year was a bit of an eyesore, though not something that can be controlled by the resort and the resort made an exceptional effort to have staff specifically dedicated to clearing it daily so tourists can access the ocean easily. We had a wonderful stay partly because of the group of people we travelled with but also the staff were the most attentive I've had the pleasure of experiencing and we appreciated their smiling service. The animation staff have lots of activities to get people involved volleyball soccer stretching on the beach games water aerobics and same staff entertained in the evening with interactive shows.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Fantastic Time

We had an amazing vacation at Dreams Punta Cana. The resort is really beautiful, with a winding pool and lush gardens. The rooms are nothing special but were very clean. The entire facility is clean, well cared for and beautiful. The food was delicious and varied. We enjoyed the buffet and the specialty restaurants. The staff is the standout at the resort. They are so friendly and helpful…servers, cooks, bar staff, cleaners, concierge and entertainment staff. Everyone we encountered was ni [... read more]ce. They really helped make our stay special. Shout out to Benjamin Franklin who popped by poolside to say hello everyday. I would definitely recommend the resort!

Excellence Punta Cana: Return to Excellence Punta Cana

This was our third visit to the Excellence Punta Cana but our first time back since Covid. Staff were awesome- would go out of their way to may your dining and beach experience memorable. Food was very good- especially Chez Isabel restaurant and breakfast at the Magna. Quite the disappointment after spending the money and risking travel during Covid to celebrate such a milestone in our marriage on such a beautiful resort!! We had celebrated our 30th anniversary at the Excellence El Carmen(without the upgrade to Excellence Club) and they had gone out of their way to make it extra special. Covid protocols were great- my husband has some health issues and we were concerned at first about travelling but we felt very safe at the resort and felt comfortable to move about freely without masks. Our luggage was sanitized upon arrival, hand sanitizing everywhere you turn, our room was sanitized and had a seal across the door upon arrival, our room had a convenience kit with face masks and bottle of sanitizer and ‘health stations’ were throughout the resort to replenish if needed. The biggest comfort was knowing the resort had a courtesy suite to isolate in if we did come down with Covid while there and it was free of charge! The buffet had taken some extra measures to reduce guest handling of foods and kept things behind glass where they would serve you and tables were spaced, as well as with Theatre seating for evening entertainment. Happy to report we are home, had a great trip and remain Covid free! Great resort but not true to what they advertise in their anniversary package.

Princess Family Club Bavaro: nice resort

The hotel grounds and amenities were beautiful. We stayed in the family club and the kids loved it. The food was disappointing especially the Italian and the Indian restaurants. The Japanese was the best. We went twice. Buffet was ok. Staff were very nice and accomodating.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Nice Resort

The resort is beautiful, lots to enjoy. The service was not impressive at all. The dining room was terrible service, you can ask for tea, water or wine and get it the same time you finish eating. I think they could do a better job with organizing the dining room area. I found it very difficult that the workers didn't know the basic English, and that led them to ignore our request. Be Live Collection Punta Cana Adults Only: Very good resort. People and food very good.

Adults only side was excellent. Service at buffet was very good. Pool is good. Beach was full of sea weed and dark water. Check in was very smooth. No one help with luggage. We had to take our own luggage to the room.

Grand Palladium Punta Cana: Disappointed

This was a 50th anniversary family trip with disappointment from the start with poor conditioned rooms with the air conditioning not working broken Windows our room was to be a poolside deluxe but ended up a second floor backside two Queen bed’s the dress code for La cart was ignored saving pool chairs was acceptable rules were just too loose for a large resort they need more people moving transportation after night show was just chaos if you promote yourself a 5 star then be one..

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: would not go back (but clean)

The tv in a room did not work the screen was just grey we didn't even bother to complain as we weren't gonna use it the bed was very very bad when u layed down the whole middle sunk it was so hard to sleep on we woke up multiple times a night the pillows we had as well were very very hard it felt like they were made out of cement. the air was very cold so that was nice. are biggest issue beside the chairs and bed was a trip central representative never showed up we were told he would meet us at four the second day after arrival and he would talk pick up time and offer us excursions we messaged him and he sent us the pick up time but he never showed up or explain any excursions options so we had to go online and book our excursions online through a third party which was disappointing as a trip central traveller. over all i would not go back

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: Great stay

Dreams palm beach was fantastic , lots of food options , restaurants did not need reservations for al la carte, food was good , plenty of options , a la carte dining portions were a bit small but you could always ask for more , check in was done within minutes , we were in the preferred section , 4 pools to swim in , always servers at the beach and pool taking drink orders even on the beach , resort was very clean and spotless , hand sanitizer was at every entrance to the restaurants , staff wer [... read more]e friendly and always had a smile and answer any questions , , lots of say activities at the main pool and beach and evening show every night and also live music , rooms are cleaned daily and no abortifacients towels or room Items , fridge stocked daily and alway bottled water was available , we had a great time and enjoyed this resort
