Muthu Playa Varadero: Muthu Playa Varadero

Having been to the resort before we knew what to expect. You can tell they are spending money on some things around the resort like pool chairs, new beach bar, the lobby was refreshed. Wish they could keep the food warmer on the buffet, but decent selection. For the price of the resort, you can’t go wrong really. Beach is beautiful. Palma Real: Palm real

So I found staying at the palm Real location to be okay ... I really like the fact I was close to downtown where I got to experience meeting the locals. How they lived . There was couple different clubs that play live music such as the Beatles club 62 and Havana club I found these to be Incredibly entertaining...there are great shops like chocolate Shop The pottery shop and of course to Tobacco shop that was very close to the resort....The beach was two blocks down From my resorts (4 min walk) n [... read more]o one told me when I first arrived that there is a beach house were I could change and get drinks. they didn’t really show me around the place very well I found my room was missing a remote control key that was supposed to be towards my lockbox the AC stopped working the second day. They did offer me to switch rooms but I didn’t like the view or vibe I got from the room they wanted me to change to so I stayed in the i original had ...none of my clothes could dry because of the humidity I found every day was different with my cleaner one day I’d walk in and there’d be a flower with a beautiful towel set up then the next day there would be nothing I found it very hard to have water replaced in my refrigerator every day I’m a non-alcoholic drinker so having the bottles of water was really important for me they never restocked my mini fridge with any beer for people who came over I actually at the end of the stay had to go back and return my beach towels from my room I found that the service at the front desk be bit off The pool area was really great there was a lot of live music the men who hosted the pool Entertainment did a great Job. really know how to get the crowd Engaged and ready to party. I found most of the people staying at palm real Were younger generation from early 20s to late 20s there were a couple kids but not many at all. I was a little disappointed they had no Special dinners that where supposed be to different then normal three meals a day it was Included in my package, they told me they stoped doing the dinnerS that way. I was told to complaints to aircanada or booking agent. The servers for mealtime were absolutely amazing and very accommodating ... front desk bar and cleaner for the room was not the best I found ... I found the Havana Excursion to be great informational but very restrictive to what you actually like got to see and do. I learned a lot about the economy about the government about Cuba itself and its people overall it was a great experience I would rate my overall experience a 6.5 out of 10 For the resort itself But the actual trip all the people I met since I traveled solo was 10/10 I felt pretty self as well !

Occidental Arenas Blancas: Excellent resort!

Simply excellent, from the resort to the staff everything was excellent! What to say about the beach simply flawless it was a very memorable experience. A special thanks to staff Jessica, William and Ivan thank you

Playa Vista Azul: Great vacation!

Overall site was in very good condition. The grounds were well maintained and beautifully manicured (special thanks to the gardeners and grounds keepers). Staff was incredibly friendly with special thanks to the Beach Bar Staff and activities group (beach and pool). Food was average, there was always variety/choice to satisfy even though improvements in quality over other destinations (outside of Cuba) are recommended. New Year’s Party was excellent, plenty of everything. Great Value!

Melia Internacional: Beautiful resort

Resort very beautiful,modern,clean,all new, excellent location, spacious beach,plenty of sun beds, umbrellas,pool very clean,staff very friendly and helpful,rooms very modern, beautiful,big, cleaning staff doing a very good job, always clean towels, bottled water in the room,food is mediocre, especially in the restorants, buffet is better,and humburger hut is good, entertainement very classy from 9 a.m.,all day long,elevators pretty slow,but very clean,I would give it 5 stars,except for food.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

We thought that this is a wonderful resort, everything was very well maintained including the rooms,the staff was friendly but professional. We loved the nightly entertainment in all of the restaurants and the lounge. The beach was also very well maintained, the beach chairs were cleaned all the time and there was no trash found on the sand due to the large number to trash bins around which makes it pleasant. One thing that we especially liked was the use of the hospitality room on our last day, [... read more] since we had to check out at 12:00 and we were not being picked up for the airport until after 6:00 we were able to enjoy the pools and have a place to shower and change into our travel clothing. The only negative that I can think of is the occasional smell of sewer which we figure was coming from some stagnant water around the resort.

Blau Varadero: Good but not so good.

It is good because at our age we need elevators. Capacity of elevators is so limited that we had to wait fo more than 10 minutes many a times. Beaches are very good, very clean rooms, service is good, rooms are spacious. Food is not so good. Meat, BEEF is generally not tender, fish some times not a good or tasty. Salt bottles have wet salt and cannot sprinkle. Over all it is a good place to go to.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Amazing resort

We stayed at Labranda resort in Varadero for 2 weeks.The hotel is amazing everything was perfect. I had so much fun with my family. The weather and that beach was the best part of our vacation. We loved everything about it. See you again LaBranda

Sol Palmeras: Amazing beach, service, ambiance

Just returned from 8 days at Sol Polymeras. The beach, people were as always excellent. Welcoming and in good spirits. The food did not have the same variety as we are used to in Canada but we always had a selection of fresh fish - which i had grilled nightly - and hubby had chicken and pork from the bbq or grill. Entertainment was better some nights than others but that is expected since tastes differ. Would recommend hotel .

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing hotel and staff!!!

This is by far the best hotel in varadero. We took Diamond Club and it was totally worth it. Our butlers PEDRO and RONALD were amazing, they took care of everything for us. We had a great time, the food was delicious, so much choice. It's clean, it's big, pool is amazing. I highly recommend for a relaxing week. LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Not as advertised

This may have been a 41/2 star hotel at one time. No longer. There was plenty of food and plenty to drink for those who want it. The staff was polite and helpful. While everything was clean the hotel is starting to show its age. The desk tops in the room were beaten up and could use a coat of paint. While we enjoy having a spring filled mattress we prefer not to feel the springs. Chairs in the bar could use a recovering since the threadbare patches are showing. While they advertise Wifi [... read more] at a reasonable price, about 1/2 the people could not get connected even with the long and determined help from the Wifi agents.

Melia Marina Varadero: Don’t come here!!

Pick a different 5 star resort! This 5star was comparable to a 3star I stayed at in Santiago. Eat freshly cooked food THATS made in front of u, don’t settle for the stuff that’s been left out for hours. Beach was average. Rooms were spacious. Service was poor. Freshly cooked Food was ok.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Very nice resort

I stayed in Labranda resort in Varadero for 14 days and I liked it there. Everything was great, I wouldn’t change a thing. The beach is the most amazing part. The weather was amazing and I had so much fun with my family. See you in a couple of months again.

Melia Internacional: Beautiful resort okay service

stunning resort, very modern I wish the pool was bigger and cleaner. Customer service and entertainment needs a serious upgrade. Definitely book ocean view and join the level member ship. You’ll get access to everything!

Playa Caleta: Perfect for the price

Had a great time. Would recommend as it was a great resort for the price. Would recommend if you know Cuba and are not expecting the moon as they are in short supply of a lot of stuff. However, it was sunny and we had a great time!

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: GORGEOUS

Beautiful gorgeous Hotel we up grated to royal service amazing service it was paradise Service was excellent Breakfast was very good, Lunch not bad The food at supper time not good at all very little And not very well cooked The best restaurant was the Hill Top restaurant

Paradisus Varadero: Beautiful and Scenic Resort

Upon arriving the resort was very clean and inviting. The gardens and scenery very beautifully maintained. The beach is breathtaking. The service was a little slow. Our consigliere reserved all of our dinner reservations which was nice. The push for excursions to Havana was pretty aggressive... I was told it was an hour to get there it was 2 hours. I was told a cheaper lunch place would be provided it was $20 cuc per person which is about 28 CAD. The restaurant servers were basically  [... read more]dressing in as little clothes as possible and I was with my 13 and 12 year old daughters.. The excursion wasn't appropriate to our family whatsoever. It wasn't considered so please chose wisely and consider they are just pushing for most expensive excursions and do not consider anything else when recommending.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Excellent resort

I highly recommend this resort. This was my second trip to Cuba and by far the best time. The resort was extremely clean and the staff was very accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure you were having a great time and enjoying all amenities to the fullest. Breathtaking views from our balcony which overlooked the resort pool and the ocean. Can't wait to go back. A special thank you to Odalyse who was our personal concierge, she was amazing and took very good care of us.

Paradisus Varadero: Great, calm and peaceful, large resort

Perfect for dowtime, quiet, couple visit. Beach is incredibly beautiful, private and large. One of the best in Cuba. Downside, is the hotel is doing renovations, painting, drilling, building, very noisy and not pleasant for a peaceful atmoshpere. Once it will be completed, will return but not during contstruction. Great staff! Food was great too, buffet had good options. Overall great location and stay just not renovations.

Blau Varadero: Good Choice

This was our first stay at the Blau Varadero. The room was spacious, with a view overlooking the pool area. We liked the location of the room - on the main floor, near the restaurant, piano bar and elevators. It was great for a person like myself with a mobility issue. The food selection was great, but not always to our liking. Nevertheless, we always found something to enjoy. The beach was close by, and there was never any shortage of chairs. The a la carte restaurants were good and the service [... read more] at all restaurants/bars was excellent. We had a minor issue with room cleanliness at the beginning, but that was resolved quickly.
