Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay: Beautiful Resort!

This was a beautiful resort. Even though there are quite a few rooms spread out, it was very quiet. Service was amazing (especially Philippe at the pool by the Bistro). Just a couple small suggestions: - they should have 1 more restaurant for variety - they should make sure the timeshare people do not go into any of the restaurants and disturb the patrons while they are eating (we had this happen once where we stood up to leave from our table and the timeshare person was sta [... read more]nding right beside our table to ask us if we are interested and kept on us about attending a meeting) - i would also recommend a print out of the room service menu (too difficult to try and get it on the website). Other than these items, the place and staff were amazing! We will definitely come back.

Sandos Finisterra Los Cabos: Lovely resort.

Nice, small resort. Not crowded. Great location. Food excellent. Staff very pleasant. Very few children so was quiet. Great views from beach and view of marina from resort. Room was dated but comfortable.

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Very nice resort

Very nice hotel, the food was good, the buffet had a great selection, the pool area had plenty of lounge chairs and the staff came around regularly to offer fresh towels in exchange for your wet ones. There is a mirror image of the pool area, one side had all the activities and the other side was calmer. Even though the ocean was rough, you could walk along the beach which can actually bring you right into town. Ocean Maya Royale: Expectations Exceeded!!!

Our vacation at Ocean Maya Royale couldn't have been anymore perfect. All the reviews we read prior to going were spot on. The front desk was very welcoming when we arrived and even called to check on us in the middle of our stay to make sure everything was okay. The food, service and music were excellent and the room far exceeded our expectations with the marble floors, clean linens, stylish bathroom and private balcony. The 2 pools were perfect with a choice of how you wanted to spend your day [... read more] One with some fun activities and the other a little more quiet. Having the ocean always in view and close proximity gave you options to spend more time on the beach. There seemed to be lots of seaweed but was always being cleared so it never interfered with your time spend on the beach and in the water. Always enough loungers, clean towels and bar service on the beach. Atmosphere of the resort was calm and relaxing. The grounds were spotless. Everything was so clean. The staff were amazing. I honestly can't say enough. We loved that it catered to people 18+. This resort comes highly recommended.

Paradisus Cancun: Great, not a 5 star

The Paradisus Cancun has great common facilities, including buffet and exclusive restaurants. The beach is great, but found towels on almost every beach chairs without occupants. The attendant should remove towels unattended. Sometimes it’s annoying to find a spot on the beach. The resort has severe lack of evening entertainment/ activities. After 10-11pm, it’s seems dead - not expecting from such a great resort. The room is dated without all available facilities.

Sandos Playacar Beach Resort: Awesome Beach but…..

The grounds were lovely but the resort was tired and the food and drinks were lacking. The rooms needed a major overhaul. All was bearable because of the gorgeous beach. I don’t think I would make a return visit. Staff for the most part were lovely but major communication barriers that I’ve never experienced at other resorts.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Descent Resort with 4 Sections

Rooms were spacious and clean. Mini fridge was stocked with 2 beers a day per room!! If you wanted more you had to pay for it. All inclusive?? Grounds were very well kept and clean. Restaurants were of descent quality and lots of options to choose from. Liquor was descent but bartenders needed a lesson on making shooters ?. Staff was generally friendly but a lot of staff seemed disgruntled. Beach was not bad but chairs were very limited. Pool lounge chairs need to be replaced. A bit far from  [... read more]Playa del Carmen, cab ride was approx. $25. US one way (approx 20 minutes) Wasn’t impressed with the Spring Breakers overtaking our adults only facilities!!!! There are 4 sections to the hotel…. Daisy for families with small children, with a large water park and slides. El Beso for adults only. Eden was closest to the beach and was for families. Privileged section. There was also a little train that went from lobby to beach and back all day. That was nice.

Riu Santa Fe: Well kept resort

The resort is very well maintained. The staff work hard to keep it clean. The food was very good for the most part. We didn’t know it was American spring break and the resort got very loud and busy. The young adults woke us every night with their partying until all hours of the night and into next morning. Called security and they hung up on us several times. We complained to the front desk. Finally got moved to the Baja California, four sleepless nights in. Very nice resort but don’t go [... read more] at spring break if you have kids or want any peace and quiet.

Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

The resort is kept very clean. The grounds are immaculate and the bathroom by the pool/beach was cleaned after every use. Very impressed with that. There were a lot of chairs at the beach which was great no matter what time of day.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: nice resort

Resort is small, very rustic, a lot of vegetation around buildings. Rooms are clean, they have 3 restaurants and you don't need reservations for them. Entertainment team great. Beach is nice but small, you can do a bit of snorkeling. The only inconvenience is that you cannot get into the sea without water shoes because of the rocks.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Rooms and beach not great!

10 days in Mexico. No sleep for first 3 nights, European spring break so Spanish students partying, fighting & slamming doors all night. Changed to a different building, 2nd room was mouldy smelling, likely due to leak from upstairs shower when used, and my husband has asthma. Air conditioner quit 2 nights in a row and he couldn't breathe, so moved to a 3rd room for the last few nights.First and 3rd rooms had only a few news channels in English. Mouldy room had upgraded cable tv, including Disne [... read more]y, so more English-speaking channels. Pool was kept clean and tested regularly, room stocked with water, pop, beer, daily. Not enough chairs at pool, always crowded as beach wasn't great. An hour & a half sales pitch for time-share lasted 4 hours, then it rained all afternoon, so one whole day was lost. Part of sales pitch was a "complimentary" breakfast at the beach, which was actually the same restaurant everyone used, so definitely not "complimentary". We had breakfast and lunch there for the rest of the trip, and supper at the main buffet, which was not air-conditioned. My friend lost her phone during the last day or two, staff were not very helpful. It was turned off, so she couldn't track it. Did 1 excursion to Mayan ruins at Tulum, rented a van & guide for the 6 of us so we could see the ruins in the morning when cooler. He didn't listen to us, and we were there at 12 noon anyway, instead of early morning. Two of us use canes, and weren't warned about how much walking it involved, or we would not have gone. Definitely not the best holiday we've ever taken. Memorable for all the wrong reasons.

Catalonia Grand Costa Mujeres: A great time away

Overall this resort was nice. Clean, lots of food options and friendly staff. Coffee bar is awesome and so many places to sit and chat! We went in the beginning of March and the pools were cool in the mornings but warmed up a bit in the afternoon. Beach is gorgeous! If you are looking for night life/ entertainment this resort isn’t for you. This is why we chose it lol When checking out , get your agents number. Our bus was late picking us up, we were just about to order a taxi and then it arriv [... read more]ed. Front desk and Lobby staff had no idea what was happening and were not even aware we were supposed to be picked up.

Riu Palace Mexico: Our resort of choice in Mexico.

Great staff at all levels. A very impressive and clean facility.. Guests rooms are more than adequate. Beautiful sand and sea, pools and bars. Food at main buffet and pool side buffet.more than satisfactory.

Riu Emerald Bay: Great Resort

We had a great time at this Hotel Resort. The food was good. Lots of fresh fish and sea food in the buffet. All kinds of things for kids to do. There was one kids show and two adult shows a night. Hotel was very clean. They where always cleaning every where. Nice to see that. The staff in the buffet, restaurant and around the whole resort where some of the best we have seen. Sheraton Buganvilias Puerto Vallarta Hotel: Very nice resort

We worked with Sandra at Trip Central and our travel arrangements and trip were very enjoyable and easy. We chose the package which included breakfast only which worked out nicely as there is a beautiful and plentiful daily breakfast. We were able to enjoy the city of Puerto Vallarta and ate out in the evenings which allowed us to take in the culture and delicious food in the very many restaurants that PV has to offer.

Paradise Village Puerto Vallarta: Nice resort

the resort was well kept, first thing was arriving in pv no rep at airport so we had to find our bus on our own, then no paper about seeing west jet rep next day like we have had in past. the bus dropped us off at main gate then had to wait for pickup into hotel. check in was long and first time we had to leave our credit card number with front desk. rooms were ok we were given 2 bottles of water on arrival nothing after that, not a true all inclusive could not use one of the Alacarte unless we [... read more] wanted to pay we did the Koba Alacarte but if you wanted beef you had to pay they had an ice cream stand but that was not included so we were charged for that. no buffet at lunch time they give you menu with limited choices same at beach restaurant which gets repetitive. On beach area closest to water was only for members. no service at pool unless your a member at least that's what i found.2 days before we left a member told us there was a west jet rep there every day between 11.30 to 12.30, went to see him about departure time and it was like he didn't even care. staff for the most part were friendly. we found resort catered to members and not other guests .may be would have enjoyed it more if everything was explain on first day i would most likely not recommend this resort with out a full explanation on how is resort works

El Cid El Moro Beach: met expectations

first off I was hit with a $115.00 US funds charge at check in, a lot of other people were charged, but for some reason the four people I was with were not! scam maybe, never got a straight answer, people at front check in were difficult to understand. The buffet was ok, definitely not on the healthy side of food choices, but was ok. room was nice and cleaned daily. lounge and pool area was good with great service. location was great as well with bus or taxi service easily available. overall it  [... read more]was a nice place to stay.

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Cancun: Amazing and Quaint Resort

The Resort was amazing Staff friendly and helpful Beach was beautiful and clean Food was delicious Rooms were cleaned every day Grounds were never crowded Would highly recommend this resort to family and friends

Barcelo Maya Tropical: We'll be back!

We were there specifically for a Dr Joe Dispenza Conference for the first week and relaxation for the second week. We loved it, very comfortable hotel, food is excellent, a la carte restaurants tasty and good variety. Lots of shops if you like to bring back souvenirs, we love the sports bar where you can get food 24hrs in the mall on site. Fun beach has rocks but we made it work, not a concern. Pool is very large. It is really worth to go to the adjacent hotel Barcelo Beach, Caribe, Palace and Riviera to see the difference. Beautiful view of the water and resort from the upper lobby at the Palace. Hard ice cream at the "Barcelo Beach" buffet. Extremelly friendly staff who aim to please and satisfy the clients. First night the AC was loud and they came and fixed it the next day. The shower valve was defective and would take a while to stay in place, causing the release of the spray to be inconsistent; it needed patience and innovation on our part. Hopefully they will get it fix, it needs to be replace. We love this resort and we'll be back soon.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Good value

View from a 75 year old. Check in is slow. Hotel package offer is time share offer in disguise. Easy to say no. We stayed 2 weeks Feb-March. Junior Garden suite near kids pool. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped with soap, shampoo, shave kit, toothbrush kit etc etc. King bed was firm and comfortable. Lots of storage and a safe. Decent coffee maker. Bar had 4 soft drinks, 2 light beers and 4 bottles of water. Restocked daily. Separate bath (top rusting from salt) and good shower with lots  [... read more]of hot water. Decor was dated ie orange tiles, mirror could use resilver. Nice patio furniture. Lounge chair used as a desk chair was a bit irritating. Free WiFi with good connectivity. Cleaning staff excellent. I found restaurants above average. Never had a tender steak in Mexico before. Good buffet with lots off variety. An oddity, need to ask for salt and pepper at all restaurants. A plus, food not allowed outside restaurants. Staff varied from excellent to indifferent. Typical entertainment, with not enough seating for all to view. I enjoyed some of the shows. Great beach. Seaweed constantly removed by tractor. Pools clean and a boisterous party pool for the younger set. Good kiddies pool. Usual issues with towels claiming spots on beach and pools. Go before 8. Expect to see iguana, gecko, feral cats, agouti, coati, racoons and even alligators in a contained wild area. Pelicans and frigate birds abound and you may see an oriole. Birding fair at best. Grounds are well maintained. 1 hr walk to Puerto Morales, or take a free 25 minute bike tour to town.
