Riu Flamingos: Excellent

Really I can not find any words to describe it, I just want to say I will go there again as soon as possible. Wow wow wow amazing. First about safety and security, it was excellent,there where a lot of security garde every where , Second hotel was very clean and all the time people was working to keep every where in Side and out side of the hotel clean . Riu Emerald Bay: Excellent Resort

This was my wife and I's first time in Mexico, and we would return to this resort in a heartbeat. Excellent service, pools were clean, and the environment was always positive and friendly. The food was also excelent, as they had a variety of options that would suit picky eaters all the way to vegetarians. Drinks were also always readily available, and their was many options to choose from.

Riu Reggae: Excellent

Really can't complain about anything, great food, great service, beautiful people, beautiful resort. We had a great time. The only thing that put a downer on our trip was that it was over Christmas because my wife could only get that time off, so she missed the family at Christmas. Nothing to do with the resort,

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice Christmas Getaway

Just back from week's stay - Dec. 21 - 28. Overall a good all inclusive vacation. The staff was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. They went out their way to create some Christmas spirit with decorations and a special show on Christmas day. What's good: the beach is beautiful, the buffet selection and quality is good,the hotel decor is new and modern, Atlantis is right next door if you need a change of scenery or like the casino, cappuccino bar, the main pool is like a warm bath What's [... read more] not great: the endless jet-ski vendors yelling on the beach, having to line up for the theme restaurants (they don't take reservations - you can wait for 45 minutes before they open only to find out you can not get in), the entertainment, lack of an evening outdoor bar.(closes at 6pm), the swim up infinity pool is freezing. A good place to go if you want to just eat, drink and soak up some sun on the beach or pool. Not good if you are looking for a party atmosphere or adventures.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Worth the money

Excellent place, staff, food and overall cleanliness. The staff were very helpful you can ask them for anything and they a happy to help you. The buffet had lots of selection. Best to go to the buffet then the restaurant, no lineup. The pool, spa and beach all excellent. Get to the beach early and grab a chair for the day. Bring some crackers or bread and feed the fishes right there on the shore. Excellent picture opportunity when feeding the fish. There lots of vendors on the beach. Take a je [... read more]t ski out to see the scenery around the hotel. Look for a guy name CHARLIE, he will give you the best price! Overall experience 10 stars. Bonus it's an all adult only resort.

Riu Santa Fe: Lower your expectations

Unfortunately, we paid good money and went in ready to spend more. There was mould on the walls and ceilings and no one seemed to care. The furniture was older and well used, the ceilings and walls had cracks in them and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. Overall it was a big let down. It was safe and fairly quiet, but definitely not worth the money we paid. The food was decent but repetitive. Unfortunately I doubt that we will ever be back.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Worse experience ever!

We all came back with bed bugs bites all over us. Since day one we got the bites but was thinking it's just Miskito bites until we visited a doctor once we arrived as the bites were getting infected. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. On top of it, the tour operator was saying how safe Costa Rica is and that their police don't carry guns. However, we went to the town of COCO beach on the evening before we leave and the police (wearing two guns) forced one of our friends in the p [... read more]olice car, grabbing him by his neck because some store owner had complained that an item was broken in his store and since we were the only ones in his shop, then we had to pay for his damages. Even though we were on the opposite isle where the broken item was. Our friend had to pay for the item at the police station before he could leave. The police and the local are there to steel from tourists and they claim they do not speak English. Definitely not a safe place to visit.

Riu Reggae: Nice resort, some drawbacks

We had an awesome time at Riu Reggae. The resort was nice and the staff were very helpful. This resort had the best food out of three places we've been in Jamaica. That being said, the construction on the beach was really upsetting. About every twenty minutes or so a tractor rolled right across the shore. And be prepared to hear all the planes taking off from Sangster. Those bad boys go right over Riu Reggae, and drown out everything... Still awesome place though!

Riu Emerald Bay: Everything perfect

This was the third time we visited this resort and we love it. The beach is beautiful even though the water can be pretty rough at times. It is excellent for walking as is the street out front. The hotel itself and rooms are immaculate and so very clean. The staff go above and beyond to accommodate you. Jose and Pancho will look after you well in the Lobby Bar in the evening. The buffet food is excellent and we never tired of it even after two weeks. Our only negative comment is not in regard  [... read more]to the resort but the late flight with sunwing getting into Toronto and taking one hour and 20 minutes to get our luggage. This is not acceptable. Not a good way to end vacation.

Riu Palace Las Americas: STELLER HOTEL

I would give this hotel a 5 star rating and here is why. first of all check in went so smoothly got the room we wanted and were welcomed with champagne. The room had everything you could ask for large bathroom double sinks walk in shower soap dispensers shampoo body wash fresh towels and robes. The room also boasts a stellar ocean view with mini bar king size bed which was very comfy, fridge fully stocked with water pop and beer. There was also a mini bar with four different kinds of liquors in  [... read more]it.WOW food here was outstanding, you had your choice of steakhouse, japanese, italian, fusion, or the buffet which we went to the majority of the time because they had something for everyone and no reservations required.Pools were very clean great bar staff and entertainment and service around the pool.The hotel was recently renovated so everything was pretty much new, bathrooms around the hotel cleaned spotless, lobby was amazing and wifi was free all around the hotel.There was lots to do here water sports, excursions, nightly entertainment shopping near by and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. You must go here trust me you wont be dissapointed loved it.

Riu Flamingos: Great stay

I loved the resort , people were so nice and friendly , activities were so fun , I loved the room and how it was always clean when I came in by the end of the night the only thing is I would’ve preferred better music and different food ,

Riu Palace Antillas: A great week!

Hotel grounds were immaculate. Staff work hard to ensure all is clean. Food was excellent. Only complaint is there was no Japanese dining option at the Antilles and we could not use the Riu Palace Aruba a la cartes. Mattresses were not the best and pillows were uncomfortable. Staff definitely elevate the hotel to a higher class. Great location.

Riu Merengue: Not bad for the price

The hotel room was always kept clean, though the addition of toiletries would be nice and the bathroom is quite dated. We had requested 2 beds as we were travelling with our daughter and got 2 3/4 beds pushed together rather than 2 doubles or a double & a twin. There was never enough bottled water in the room. The beach had a lot of coral and rocks in the shallows, plus it has a major sand bar covered in seaweed so forget about swimming in front of the resort. There was an abundance of beach cha [... read more]irs and natural shade on the beach so it was never a problem to find a place to lounge. I like that drinks were served in washable plastic cups of a decent size or recyclable paper cups *like the eco-friendly approach*. The daytime animation was practically non-existent and the evening shows tended to include quite repetitive dance routines. The bar staff was friendly and efficient. The dining room staff was slow to serve drinks & clear plates. Food was quite good.

This is a nice hotel. I would not give it a 5 Star rating though. We stayed there from December 10 - 21, 2017. The hotel was not at full capacity so they used that as an excuse to keep the various restaurants closed for most of our stay. There was a line up each night for the specialty restaurants that were open and only half the tables were used. Most people were turned away and had to go eat in the regular buffet. There was a terrible sewer like smell in the lobby every day. The entire  [... read more]place was clean and there was always someone cleaning everything. The pool area was very clean as well but the noise from the streets and the Atlantis resort next door was very annoying. All staff members were extremely nice and everyone made you feel very welcome. I will not be returning to this resort or this island simply because the price is outrageous for what you get. I feel I would have been able to have 2 vacations for what I paid for 1. There simply was not enough bang for your buck at this resort.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great resort

The resort itself is in need of some serious renos. It fails in comparison to other resorts that have spend the time to bring their resorts up to a better standard. The rooms are tired and mold in the bathtub is not a plus. The bed was not comfortable at all, it was lumpy and cause both me and my wife back pain. we both ended up at the spa for back massage to help ease the pain. Riu Palace Antillas: Great resort

We loved the RUI. The resort was very clean, ate at al la cartes all 7 nights and dinners were excellent. Wi-fi is available through out entire resort and even the beach (although know should unplug while on vacation.) Only thing I would say needs improvement would be night entertainment. Would go back again for sure love that only a 20minite rode from airport.

Riu Naiboa: Disappointed

Did not Meet expectations in comparison to other Riu Resorts I have stayed at in the past. Minimal amenities and lack of options for food and activities. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Water was not replenished in room, had to request it at front desk everyday.

Riu Flamingos: Clean, Good Service, Convenient

The grounds were maintained very well. There were Christmas decorations throughout the resort during our stay a few days before the holiday. The buffet had a good variety and the first come first serve a la carte restaurants always had enough room. Our room was very clean and the maids always provided clean sheets and towels. The public washrooms were also cleaned regularly and one could always receive a drink quickly at any of the resorts bars. Everything was very compact and easy to find and g [... read more]et to.

Riu Vallarta: Great vacation

The room was beautiful (junior suite, ocean view). The food was really good, though a bit repetitive. It is a bit of a party resort - because it’s small, you can’t really get away from the loud crowds in the evening. The beach is nice, but very packed.

Riu Playa Blanca: Great resort!

Very nice resort, super clean and modern. The hotel staff were awesome! very friendly and always greeting our group. The food and night entertainment was okay... nothing special. The beach wasn't nice however we were warned before booking so wasn't a surprise and the pools definitely made up for it. It's in the middle of nowhere so not much to do but they have tours to go into Panama city as well as other excursions. Over all beautiful resort.
