Melia Las Dunas: Great resort
This is our 7 time to melia las dunas it is a great resort the cuban staff are outstanding and cant do enough to make your vacation a wonderful experience. Since its been just over 7 months since Irma hit this amazing island there recovery was more than one would think, they have rebuilt the beach to its beauty. And grounds on resort are being restored you cant imagine the devastation caused by the hurricane. Yes its getting a bit dated as being an older hotel, but no issues hot water, clean rooms, [... read more]
Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful resort
Our second visit to this resort .Great 18 plus very clean beautiful beach and wonderful staff! Will be going back next year. The food is really good , always lots of choices and 24 hour pool bar. Also the entertainment is excellent, especially aqua night.
Melia Cayo Coco: Beautiful Melia Cayo Coco, Always......
... BEAUTIFUL MELIA CAYO COCO…ALWAYS… We just came back from a 2 weeks stay at Melia Cayo Coco. This was our 12th time. It was nice to see all the friendly and very dedicated staff who make this resort very special. The resort looks very open and we can see the ocean everywhere. The weather was hot to very hot and we were happy to go for a swim in the ocean every morning before breakfast. The resort is very clean, and the service always excellent. The beach restaurant is reopened with [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Best beach ever
Well kept grounds and nice walkways for going for a walk. Spacious rooms. Very smooth check in. The entertainment was excellent. Food was of a good variety and plenty. Beach is best I’ve seen in Cuba. Pools are beautifull and clean. The people were friendly ,except the two waitresses in the buffet had a little bit of an attitude, which is not normal for Cuban people and I’ve been to a lot of places in Cuba.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing Holiday!!
We went back to the Paradisus Del Mar in Varadero April 11-21st. This time we were in the Royal Service Section, and I have to say it was just unbelievable. From the the trolley drivers Juan, and Jorge, to the Royal service front desk girls, our butler Pedro, our housekeepers, then our bartender Eledis, and so many other staff members on the Royal service side, can’t remember there names sorry, but they were all amazing! So very helpful. We had our own butler named Pedro he arranged all of our [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: Awesome resort
Love love love this resort. Although the hotel itself is a little tired, the people and beaches more than make up for it. Both al a carte restaurants were very good and nicely decorated. Buffet had a large variety so definitely didn't go hungry. The beach restaurant had the best ribs I have ever eaten, my compliments to the chef. The amazing beach and ocean are a little bit of heaven. Went on a snorkeling excursion and was very impressed by the various fish and corals.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Beautiful Resort
We've been to Cayo Coco 5 times now but this was our first stay at Melia Jardines Del Rey. The resort is beautiful and very clean. Our rooms were nice and kept very clean. Food was good for the most part. The pizza "hut" was delicious. I loved that they have a buffet lunch set up right at the beach. We only ate at the 24 hr snack bar once as the food was not great and our waitress was horrible. Main buffet dinner had amazing wait staff. By day 3 at our regular table our waitress would have o [... read more]
Sol Varadero Beach: Great experience
We are a family of 6. Two adults and four kids between the age of 12-17. Also had my parent inlaw with us. We stayed at Sol Sirenas Coral. In the Coral section. The staffs were friendsly and caring. The pools were clean and spacious. Our rooms were cleaned and we had all we needed. This resort gave us bottled water daily (no pop or beer) but it worked out. The buffet wasnt as great. Not much variety and the meat was more like a piece of gum (endless gewing) but the rest of the food [... read more]
Sol Palmeras: Great beach and hotel
Sol Palmeras is an older hotel that is very well maintained. The food selection was good and the a la carte restaurants were very good (and I am very fussy). The beach is huge and we never found it crowded even though the hotel was almost fully booked. I would return to this hotel and would recommend it to friends/family.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: A Great Resort
This was our first visit to this resort following a recommendation from our friends who had vacationed here three times. The grounds of the resort are large, well designed and landscaped and great for just taking a walk in the morning or late in the day. The beach is amazing and the rooms were nice and we had no complaints. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and the buffet and specialty restaurants were enjoyable as was the food quality and choices. The outdoor swimming pool was huge [... read more]
Melia Jardines del Rey: Resort
Grounds are quite nice, theatre not very attractive, drab. The shows were very short and only 4 new ones and too much dancing and not enough singing. Food pretty bad. Much better at the Iberostar last year near Varadaro. Some of the wait staff in dining room were not very friendly, which surprised me, but the young fellow doing the eggs in the morning was very fast and a sweetheart.. Room was not very clean. Beach was wonderful.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Better than expected!
Food - Surprisingly enough, it was decent. Sakura and Hilltop were our favorites. Drinks were fantastic. Cold and consistent everywhere. The coffee was epic. Rooms - Dated, sorry. Standard, a bit musty. Bed was hard. Room needed repairs. The room definitely was the worse part of our trip. Pool - Very nice. Warm, clean, inviting. Pool bar was great. Beach - Amazing. Overall - 8.0 Room sucked, and better customer service would jump it to a 9.0

Paradisus Rio De Oro: top of the line
Every thing spot on. Meets all standards. A very relaxing environment. This resort is very well maintained. The staff are friendly and attentive. The view from the pool area is spectacular. The pool water is warm and the spotlessly clean pool is very inviting. The grounds are well looked after. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. I will stay at this resort again in the future.
Sol Cayo Coco: AMAZING RESORT
We spent a beautiful relaxing week at Sol and enjoyed every minute of our stay here.Resort was very nice and clean with beautiful pools and two gorgeous beaches. No complains on menu at La Arcadia buffet restaurant, where we always find plenty of tasty meats, fish and salads there. We enjoyed bar at the lobby with entertainment there, especially singers who get us to dance. We had a wonderful holiday at Sol Cayo Coco, thanks to all of your wonderful staff and hope to see you next year again.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: My best resort
The whole place looks amazing. I love that you have to walk to get to ur room. Knowing the food to be good to my liking...I needed to burn all the carbs. All you can drink (with friendly & loving staff) and entertainment are truly fascinating! My daughter had her 18th birthday experience to be superb...thanks to Melia Peninsula. Will choose the same when we pick our next destination!!!
Paradisus Rio De Oro: We enjoyed our stay
Stayed for two weeks and had nothing but a good experience. Staff is very attentive and the facilities are very good-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paradisus Varadero: Basic Resort-No; Royal Service-Yes
Main resort--Busy, loud, full of kids Royal Service--worth the price Main Resort--service, room quality (furniture/style, cleanliness)-dated and not 5 star Beach--beautiful; long walks a must Night-life--none
Melia Marina Varadero: Still Good but not on the first floor
This was the 3rd time we went to Melia Marina Varadero. We have young kids (age 6 and 8) and each time they have had a great time. The food was good as always and the staff was great. Don't get a room on the first floor - we found a large cockroach in our room. The screen door didn't close properly and that could be how it got in. Anyway, after it was disposed of the front desk staff were quick in giving us another room on the 3rd floor. Overall, we'll be heading back to Cuba at some time in [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: Amazing
The best thing about this resort is the beach. Amazing!!! It is a very large resort, but not to worry because you can always jump on one of the trolleys, driven by Manuel and friends, also I cant remember the gentleman's name ,he had grey hair , very funny always doing his beep beep, when coming near people walking. The girls at the adult swim up bar were always very accomadating trying to make sure everyone got what they wanted. Frank and Manuel in the buffet were always great too, making s [... read more]
