Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Amazing Resort as usual. As you know, our family has been going to the Bahia Principe resort for many years now and enjoy it each time we go to it.

The grounds have been upgraded since I've been there over 10 years ago. Love the cleanliness, the staff and the good service. As for covid, all the staff wore masks. Did not see many guests wearing any masks. They did have sanitizer everywhere but the crowds were often all together side by side wherever we went. It is up to the client to wear their masks if they want too. Secrets Royal Beach: A Royal Trip

The Transat rep Patricio assisted us in getting a room change within less than 24 hours. The buffet choices were fairly good especially the desserts.The attendants were exceptionally friendly and went out of the way to help.The premises and rooms were spotless The speciality restaurants needed some more creative choices but were ok. The beach was not handicapped accessible which was a downer. Some serious safety issues in the room need to be addressed before there is a serious accident. There i [... read more]s a loose marble slab on top of the fridge and it slides and swivels. It could easily detach and injure your foot since it is not fastened. The drain plate in the shower detach easily and you could break an ankle. The sink stoppers in the jacuzzi and washbasin do not work. This is my fourth Secrets and this resort does otherwise maintain a high standard.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Not bad

Overall fine but it no longer feels like a 5 star. Generally slow to get water in the buffets. Changed room once because of water leaking from the ceiling. A few days later the A/C was leaking in the new room. They seemed to fix the problem but there was always a weird smell in the room. The entertainment staff were the highlight of the trip.

Riu Republica: Good resort

Went on a solo trip and the resort had lots of activities for people there. Wished the room was cleaned better even when asked multiple times. Ricardo at the front was amazing The staff should try to ensure all guests are treated equal to the games The jerk chicken was really good and strongly recommend going there for lunch. If you want to dine at the steakhouses please make reservations at 630pm. Book your excursion at Scuba Caribe, $99 gives you 7 activities.

Ocean El Faro: Hotel

Hotel was good, staff weren’t friendly some of the waitresses in the food court were so depressed I couldn’t enjoy food, even I always tip them they didn’t give smile. The beach was terrible. The room was good the furniture was broken.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Nice resort

Room were good but so many mosquitoes in the room and coridoor trying to book ala cart restaurant but you can’t get booking all booked but food in cafeteria was good good customer service and good food nice room service

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice resort

If you want a simple small resort this is good to go to. Very nice resort layout and rooms. Beach not all great but once in the water it’s great. Very good staff. Entertainment for a small resort was fantastic. Two pools were fantastic and warm. Excellent pools.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Exceptional Resort

This resort is very focused on client satisfaction. They "go over board" to ensure that you are satisfied every day. If you have any concerns, they would immediately resolve the matter to your satisfaction. The entire resort including rooms, grounds and restaurants are exceptionally clean. The food selection and quality is the very best that we have seen. Drinks are quality liquors. Every staff is focused on you the guest. The entertainment is very good but I would suggest that they have more " [... read more]English" music because many of the guests are from English speaking countries. The Singers and Musicians were very good and work hard to entertain all guests. The staff are all wearing masks and continually clean all surfaces that are touched by guests. It is a very large resort with the exchange program to the other hotels so having the Golf Cart Shuttles is an excellent idea. Tipping is not necessary but certainly appreciated by all staff. The beach is beautiful and there is an abundance of loungers for everyone.

Riu Republica: Great resort

This was a great resort with lots of pools and many lounge chairs. The bars had many good drinks and always around to take your order. The food was ok but it could have been better. Our room was the main floor courtyard, quiet with large rooms. It was my husband birthday so when we came in from the pool he had little gift to celebrate the birthday. We we also had a bottle of champagne. All in all the experience was good with lots of things to do.

Secrets Royal Beach: Best Vacation Ever!

This resort has it all! We highly recommend the Preferred Club members package, and request Julio Sterling as your butler. In a resort with so many amenities, he quickly identified our interests and helped us navigate our options. He went above and beyond without ever being intrusive! Big shout-out to our agent, Robyn, who set-up the best vacation ever!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Would not recommend

I was unhappy with my 1 week stay. It was very hard to communicate with any of the staff due to language barrier which made it very difficult. Food is very repetitive and they would run out of many things. When asked for more they would say it’s all done. The line ups for anything that was being made fresh such as pasta or eggs in the morning would take forever. I did not enjoy my stay.

TRS Turquesa: Amazing resort

10/10! Great service, perfect location with all the amenities one could ask for! Endless amounts of options when it comes to food (either buffet or a la cart) on the resort plus access to the rest of palladium hotels!! Wish I stayed longer

WE stayed at Bahia for 7 nights with our family friends in the the next room to us. It was wonderful experience! The resort's atmosphere is welcoming and inviting. Family friendly areas of the pools, restaurants. Employees are very friendly and trying there best to be helpful and efficient. It's very clean, well maintained resort. Foods variety at the buffet is great and fresh. The resort has been full, but it didn't affect the cleanness and comfort. They take every step to make it safe, disinf [... read more]ect public common areas, have personal sanitizing supply available for use every where it meant to be. The beach is big and beautiful. The only thing is seaweed accumulation should be maintained more efficiently. We loved our vacation at Bahia and have wonderful memories!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Great Resort

This hotel is a wonderful place to take the children,my granddaughter loved it.The food was absolutely amazing,we mostly ate in the buffet restaurant because it had more variety than anyone could ask for,there were boiled eggs,poached eggs,scrambled eggs,eggs benedict,bacon ,ham ,sausage,french toast,real syrup,real honey from an actual honey comb.The breakfast had everything anyone could ask for,fresh made ommelets,bagels,cream cheese,etc.Lunch and supper were the same large choices,sea food ,c [... read more]rab legs,fish,shrimp,pork chops ,ribs beef,frenchfries,etc.I could go on and on,this hotel has it all,even pizza fresh made by the water park,ice cream cones all day long for the children.Pool areas were well cleaned,rooms were a little noisy,the halls with people closing doors at all hours of the night.If you have a castle view,the shows are noisy around 9:45 for about 15 minutes,if you are not in bed early it is no problem.All in all,we had a fantastic time,we would return.Also I had the spa treatment at the Esmerelda next door with Anita,it was the deep massage,it was fabulous,well worth the money,she did an amazing massage. Grand Sirenis Punta Cana Resort: Something is wrong?

Something is wrong, as Canadian don't travel to Dominican in june,you will subjected to being a second class visitor the place is filled with Argentinians Spanish speaking enough said but its favoritism its constant and it wears on you after a week . I've never been told no so many times. The water park is as bad as the reviews your reading on adviser now all 3 of my grand kids got injured as did most kids and adults .line ups to the buffets, only to be seated at a table without cutlery, no wat [... read more]er glasses became the standard always chasing coffee and cups in morning no bowls or spoons made soup cereal or ice cream a challenge food was sub par and warm at best ,,Japanese and Brazil passed kids enjoyed and ate something finally however my wife got food poisoning the day before we left. beach has some sargassum and is cleaned by a stinky tractor, the pools at either end have swim up bars and are 3 ft deep stink and look full of urine the middle 2 pools are 6.5 ft deep useless to most. Rooms were not always cleaned lost power every few hrs in the evening for approx 5 min until day five I lost the air ,after numerous calls a repair guy showed up fixed it and said don't use the bathroom light strange but ok. Over all the staff seem sad and indifferent more don't then do return a smile or greeting something sure is wrong!

Hotel was great, the food the animations ( Walter and Eddy) just amazing!!! the service (Mayra)She was our waitress awesome and our bartender served our drinks (Alexander) super nice. Can't wait to go back had an amazing time 😊😊😊

I was very welcome and Base on covid they were all followed the saty protocols in other to keep everyone safe ,I don't mind going back or advice my friends to go the sea was not clean at all but I managed I enjoyed it

The service wasn't a 5☆ and also the beach was disappointing , they clean pools very late in the day, staff not to friendly 🙄, sea weeds at the beach smell terrible ,change the buffet dinner from one restaurant to another without notice.... we understand that opening after the pandemic is kind of difficult especially with short staff .....

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Do Not Have PRE Covid Expectations!

Let me start off with the Staff were Excellent!! Management were not up to par and already to provide Lip Service. 3 rooms were booked together or adjoining for all of us to assist with a special needs individual. We we told to wait for our rooms as we need to be upgraded (no mention of additional charges). Once we went back for our rooms after 5 pm we were told an extra $1050 USD to get the rooms we booked??? By 7pm and two room changes later we were able to settle for 3 rooms sub standard. 3 r [... read more]ooms with safes not working for 3 days, 2 rooms with no WI FI for 7 days, and one room with out a properly working toilet (be prepared for plumbing skills) and a room that did not lock from ground level patio doors for 7 days. Grounds were beautiful. As for the advertised 7 restaurants there is no such thing! Only one Buffet available for Dinner and a la Cartes are only booked on Sunday. Beach buffet closes for LEVEL service at dinner. Beach was full of seaweed and smelly. If you wanted to lay on a beach bed, be prepared to pay $37 USD per day and only use of one beach bar if not upgraded to LEVEL. I don't know if this is because of Post Covid Travel..but if this is the case I will consider staying home or visiting Florida. Just to mention be prepared for the for the A La Cartes and they can only except reservations on Sunday. Japanese and Steak house $$$ extra to book. Steak $49.00 USD. I don't understand the Melia?? I have been to Punta Can 6 times and even stayed at the Paradisus that I would highly recommend Pre Covid. Very disappointed with this trip. Mary Lynne
