Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Good times at Hard Rock Punta Cana

Pros: lots of activities for kids and adults, water park, kids club, kids pool, lots of food and drink options (Zen - Teppanyaki, Toro - Steakhouse, Stacked - burgers, The Split - subs were all great), beach was beautiful and lots of different pools to choose from depending on what vibe you’re interested in, nice, comfortable accommodations (we had a 1 bedroom suite in building 5B), room service is a plus Cons: the lobby area is really loud with music in each different bar/store turned up t [... read more]o full volume and everyone trying to talk over it, the beach is beautiful but the resort faces the Atlantic Ocean so it was really rough. The red flag was out 6 of the 7 days. We didn’t like the hard sell for the “VIP breakfast” after check-in. This is basically them trying to sell you a timeshare. Same thing happened at check out where they were offering a “coupon” for a discounted future stay but they try to pressure you into making a decision 20 minutes before you’re leaving the resort to go home. The minibar is supposed to be restocked each day but we called 4 times, they only came twice. The resort is HUGE so there is lots of walking or waiting for shuttles (the shuttles worked well for us). Food at Ipanema was cold and not very good - that’s the only restaurant I wouldn’t recommend. Watch out for the people on the beach with animals (monkey, parrots, iguana) offering to take pictures. They put the animals on you before saying how much they expect to be paid and then pressure you to pay $120 USD by cash, venmo or PayPal. Overall we really enjoyed our vacation at the Hard Rock Punta Cana!

Casa Marina Sosua Trademark by Wyndham All Inclusive: My Home away from Home

Ive been returning to Casa for many years now and will still return. The staff are great and the rooms are nothing fancy but adequate for my needs. The food is good but alittle lacking in variety but being right in sosua allows you to try many of the excellent restaurants nearby. The pools on the reef are my favourite place to hang out. Overall for the money is a great. I give Casa Marina a thumbs up.

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Nice resort

Staff is very friendly room are ok. Washroom need renovation. Beach was great. Food was really good. The mall behind the resort was great to shop in. This will be my third time at this resort. I would go back again

Occidental Caribe: Occidental Caribe

Karol Kim and I book a trip with you Jan 19/24 till Jan 28/24 to Punta cana Occidental Caribe. It was are first time with Transat and all inclusive very disappointed first they told us the plane would be delayed for 10 minutes after an hour and 30 minutes we finally left they never ask us if we would like to have something to drink. Arriving to the hotel we have to stay in line to registered it took us 1 hour and a half before we got served then the lady at the desk told us to go eat somethin [... read more]g and to come back and then she would give us are room number so we did but when we came back for the second time it took us another 1 hour and a half before getting our room number it was so hot I didn't feel good at all I thought I was going to pass out finally we got are room but the card didn't work go back down stairs wait another 15 minutes Finally go back to the room at this point we we're so exhausted didn't have time to examine the room we went straight to bed. Next day we realize that we didn't have any towels and the room was not too clean. Because we pay extra to upgrade that we were supposed to have beer in the fridge slippers and bathrobe we didn't have nothing like that. Food keep repeating lunch supper was cool no taste I had better food on a cruise. Language barrier they should have more people speak English and French. Very disappointed customer it was our first experience all inclusive and didn't like it at all we did 4 cruises and never been disappointed it would take a miracle for us to do this again. I know nothing will come out of this but I'm sure the media would be interesting to find out about our experience. Very disappointed customers

VIK Hotel Arena Blanca: Great resort!

Resort is a little outdated and need of minor repairs, granted a hurricane was just through in late fall, but still could use a face lift. Lobby chairs, plastic and some people did not feel safe sitting on them. Beach area was a disaster, but again hurricane damage. Pools, not bad but one was closed, not sure why but the one that was open was good. Great place if you are there to relax and not do much. The usual excursions but pricy. Food was excellent! Blue Bay Villas Doradas: truly amazing resort

Outstanding resort from staff to cleanning personnel, grounds kept imaculate, rooms well kept, meals outstanding and great variety to choose from, friendly atmosphere, night activity well done and presented, easy to make new friends, I would consider returning again!

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great family resort.

Clean rooms and grounds. Friendly staff. Food is very good. Only 20 minutes or so from the airport. Great resort for families of all ages. We have previously stayed at this resort and definitely would go back again.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing resort

The grounds, pools were extremely well kept. The rooms were spacious, made service was excellent. All the room supplies, stocking the refrigerator were looked after daily. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. The best a la cart was the Bluewater steakhouse. The buffet had a good variety of different foods, it was O.K. The beaches were great with lots of shore line for walking. A very good family resort with lots of activities for kids. Very nice water park and slides.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Excellent Hotel

The Hotel was very specious with lots of well maintained gardens and landscaping. Our room had everything that was needed for a comfortable stay. The swimming pool was very clean . The restaurants were amazing with great staff and excellent food. I can’t say enough about the beaches!! We wanted a late checkout and had no problem with the request.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa Resort: Group of 10

Grounds were good, bathrooms were some times good, a couple of back ups in the public washrooms while we were there (a week). Sewage smell was quite prominent at times. Food was ok, Asian restaurant was great! Couple of our servers in the buffet were amazing, rest of the staff were kinda blah. Pools seemed clean, drinks were good. Beach was ok, very wavy (not calm at all). Our group still had a good time however we will book elsewhere next year.

Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro: Disappointing Smelly resort experience!

Disappointing Stay My Brother requested a crib for this 14 month old Before leaving for this resort. He did not get a crib for Two days after several attempts made to the front desk. Next the place smells bad the Buffet Restaurant has a smell kinda like sewage that makes you not want to eat there! Food and service is subpar on a good day! Our Room had mold in our bathroom! Public washrooms on most days had no soap and toilet paper the Hotel doesn't care about sanitation . If you have a toddler [... read more] goodluck finding a tray for your highchair! Two cofee machines in front lobby seemed to be always broken! Must always wakeup early to get pool or beach chairs the place seemed overcrowded and overbooked lineups everywhere! Not recommending this place to anyone never coming back this place is dirty staff always act pissed off when asking for something! We read the reviews somehow this is not the same place advertised!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: Still great

We stayed for 10 days at Gran Ventana still a great place. Everyone works very hard, our room was dated but ok, no dressers for putting clothes in, food was very good so much to choose from. Wish they could make mud slide drinks but we had many options, santa at the swim up bar made great drinks. Looking forward to returning soon

Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Paradise!

Such an amazing resort! Super clean always! Amazing staff! Super friendly! Buffet and al le cartes were always very good. Lots of variety! You can sit at the pool and see the ocean. We never had a problem with service either! Very attentive for the whole two weeks!

Occidental Punta Cana: This was a great resort ? !

We do travel often , and would recommend to anyone . The staff keep it very clean , food was good , entertaining was good , staff was very polite and eager to help as best they can. Pool was very clean looking , and security was plentiful on the beach . Rooms were quite large and nice and bright . Will definitely return there .

Bahia Principe Explore El Portillo: 2nd time guest

A very comfortable resort with beautiful scenery on the drive from the airport. Clean, plenty of washrooms and bars throughout the resort… except no lobby bar. A very walkable resort, but a shuttle is available if needed. Greek and Italian a la carte restaurant meals were delicious and beautifully presented. Service at the beach buffet was good, but hit & miss at the main buffet. Beach is beautiful & has areas for good snorkelling. Long walks along the beautiful beaches. Margaritaville Island Reserve Cap Cana Hammock: our trip to Margaritaville Cap Cana

Positive: The people working at this hotel are wonderful, caring and most of all the one we interacted with enjoyed being here. The room was spacious and had a great view. The coffee shop was fantastic. The breakfast buffet was great. The pools and bars were fantastic Negative: There is NO beach at this site...you need to walk over about ten minutes to a public beach to see sand and cleaner ocean water...but still algae visible. Final thought...The entertainment was great during the day at the pools and the bands and shows were very good!

VH Gran Ventana Beach Resort: So so resort

Kind of disappointed ?, the room initially is old and not very comfortable. First, We are couple but we have to cramp ourselves into a double bed and don't know why they give us a room with two beds Second the AC is leaking to our luggages and toilet. We complain initially they only come to remove water on the roof and no room replace until 3 times on the row of complain, they start to act. So far I am not impressed much and will never return.

Occidental Caribe: Honest review family vacation

Two couples and one child aged 7 stayed at this resort on the last week of January in separate rooms side by side. The beach and hotel grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Our rooms were by the swim up bar ground floor. The real kicker for us was the rooms. We arrive and neither of our safes work, friend had no hot water for 3 days, both tvs broken and replaced, brown water leaking from my washroom ceiling, clog in both showers that turned your shower into a bath, toilet leaking mine, lamp [... read more] had hole in shade and cord had wire exposed held together by merets mine, someone's thongs were found on the floor at the side of the bed in friends room and blood on sheets? We saw maintenance every day and saw them more than the bartenders. Day 1 we waited 4hrs in room for someone to show. We asked for other rooms and was told there was nothing avail. After chatting with others, found that most people got moved to a different room? Maintenance throws towels in the ceiling to fix leaks, TV's are taken from other rooms. Everything had a bandaid. The room issues created unnecessary stress and put a damper on our vacation. Food: buffet was ok. Lots of options. Specialty restaurants: Japanese was excellent, Dominican was excellent, Mexican was good. Good chicken wings at the pool restaurant. Bar: ran out of beer on day 2? I was really shocked that there was no beer for 2 days. We had to purchase Corona at the store. Entertainment was good. Kids- waterpark was good. Kids club- had lots for the toddler age and not much for older kids. Upon leaving the resort we get to the airport and the bus back door is jammed and driver couldn't open it. The bus driver had to get a broom handle from the airport to open latch from the inside. I would not recommend this resort to anyone. We were severely disappointed and felt ripped off.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Great Resort

Great food. Great location. Amazing service and very friendly, accommodating staff. Staff went out of their way to address my wife's allergies. (especially Apostol) Jacob was excellent. We would definitely go back.
