Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great experience

Just returned from Memories Flamenco, cayo coco. We had an amazing time there. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Staff are very friendly and knowledgable. Pools were clean. Beach was stunning. Food is palatable for cubian food but bring peanut butter, ketchup and some snacks to help you through. Entertainment staff great at their jobs. Loved the shows. Would definately return to this resort.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Melia Jardines del Rey Cayo Coco

We just returned from our vacation at the Melia Jardines del Rey. The weather and the beaches were great. For the size of the resort there were sufficient beach chairs for all. Check in was quick, and informative. The Beach Towel Service was terrible. We were a group of 6, there were no beach towels available. After 24 hours i complained to the Air Transat Rep on site and had my towels within half an hour. Both Reps were amazing, and assisted/answered all questions, and went beyond their scope [... read more] to assist. Talking with some of the other guests they still did not have towels on their fourth day of stay. they were travelling with Air Canada. There were no towels available to exchange. We were only able to exchange once. The main buffet had a good choice of meals, during the first few days they only had one station for pasta bar, breakfast bar which took an hour to get your meal. As the week progressed they did open up more stations to assist with the time it took to get your meal. The a la carte restaurants were a HUGE disappointment. In the Cuban restaurant i ordered a red snapper. When the meal arrived my fish was like a piece of leather, dried out, and i could pick it up and bang it on the table. The other parties with my group ordered Lobster which cost 20 peso. The lobsters were not edible. We left the restaurant and had our dinner at the buffet. Unfortunately in was sick that evening. We also tried the TexMex restaurant and the Italian. Again both were below average. Items on the menu were not available, and the quality of food that was served was BAD. In all the years of travel the a la carte restaurants were usually very good. This was very disappointing. The buffet was our go to place. The sun set cruise was great, as well as the meal. The Safari tour and horseback riding was great. They served a Cuban lunch which was good. Deep Sea fishing was a disappointment as the crew were not very engaging. they did not converse much, we did catch barracudas, and one small mackerel. but again they left the fish on the ground, and did not assist in taking of the photos. Over all if the towel service improves, and they add more stations to their buffet it would be a 3 plus to a 4. The a la carte was a 1.

Hotel Playa Coco: Repeat Guest

As a repeat guest i highly recommend this resort to all travelers to Cuba. Very close to the beach and the most friendly staff in Cuba. I will be getting married this year at this resort. I will be returning hear this year in October.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great resort!

Beach was most beautiful. Pool was nice. I enjoyed the entertainment. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was ok as well. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way all the time to make sure I was happy!

Hotel Playa Coco: Good but.....

The best beach in cayo coco resort is older and not without its problems! I had a beautiful ocean view room beds comfy clean however on day 3 of my 12 day vacation at this resort I had water leaking from the toilet that was heading toward the bedroom area for 3 days I was made to wade through water to use my bathroom, three times they came to “fix” it and was actually told all 3 times that it was fixed(it wasn’t). I used all towels in my room to stop water from entering bedroom area and of course no towels replaced no beach towels. The restaurants were excellent buffet meh but didn’t go hungry. The pools clean beautiful. The grounds and recovering nicely after hurricane Irma. The staff the real reason I keep returning to this hotel!

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great Resort But Needs Some Wrinkles Ironed Out

Entertainment was fantastic. Rooms were very modern, and the maid service was really good. Buffet food was a bit boring and no change in the 7 days we were there. Long line ups for fried food both in the morning and at night. I would not recommend this hotel for this reason. A La Cartes were fantastic and service was excellent.

Tryp Cayo Coco: Fell in Love with Cayo Coco

My recent booking thru Rachel Guindon and TripCentral.ca to go to TRYP Cayo Coco in Cuba far exceeded my expectations.  Rachel's expertise and patience with my questions made the experience stress free.  Although TRYP Hotel and Cayo Coco had been extremely damaged by Hurricane Irma a few years back, they have done their best to make the hotel a wonderful and beautiful place to vacation.  The beach is spectacular and the Cuban people on the resort and on the tours we took were exceptional, fri [... read more]endly and professional.  A pleasant surprise was how good the food was.  Although the selection is limited, they do their best with what they have and especially the rotissiere grilled chicken at the beach restaurant.  I have always been hesitant to vacation in Cuba, but I can now say that it's one of my favourite destinations.  I can't wait to go again.  Cheers 😎🥂🌴

Hotel Camino del Mar: Wonderful Resort

Buffet had great options every day. The Beach is beautiful and usually had enough chairs laid out for everyone. We were part of a group of 18 and it is a small enough resort that we could easily find our friends. Staff were amazing, friendly and extremely entertaining. Depending on your room location, warm water was difficult to get in the shower. They did run out of cola a few days, but easily able to find another mix for drinks. Melia Jardines del Rey: Fit our family and budget

Take advantage of the excursions. The guides are fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. Bungalows are clean, and family friendly. Lots of food choices, fresh ingredients and stations. We took our own beach towels, bug spray and after bite which I highly recommend. Saved a lot of stress. Would recommend to everyone.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Large resort

My husband and I book this resort 1 week before leaving. Overall we had a good time but there were a few things that were a disappointment. The hotel was very large which meant line ups at the various beach bars, for the morning coffee, no towels (unless you paid a premium price), food was ok by Cuba standards. The staff expected a tip every they provided a service which we found disappointing. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Memories made

The hotel and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was clean and comfortable. The entertainment staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone was have a great time. The waiters at the buffet were wonderful and could not do enough to make sure you had everything you needed. We had a great time and would definitely return.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Ok for the price

My first time in Cuba so wasn't sure what to expect but all in all it was ok. The lobby bar was awesome, food well it's at your discretion cause everyone has there own opinion but I advise to have food cooked in front of you. The rooms are nothing to be wowed about the cleaning staff never dusted washed the counter tops or tables & only had 2 beers in our fridge the first day. Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Lovely resort would go again

This is one of the best hotels for service with a breath taking beach. The staff go above and beyond and it is spotless. There were issues with the pool bathrooms. They need to put garbage cans in the stalls so they dont get clogged. Food was not as good as last year but it is one of the best all inclusives Cuba has to offer. 4 to 4.5 star. Note even tho we didnt travel with children they had tons to offer in fun and games with the kids

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: CUBA 2019

Beautiful resort, lot's of renovations completed since our visit last year such as Marine restaurant opened and larger patio area around the pool area. We were disappointed at check in. We advised that we were REPEAT customers and the only request we asked for was a King size bed. We were assigned a room with 2 double beds and had to wait for a NEW room with a King bed. Customer requests should be reviewed prior to arrival to the resort.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: Great resort, very beautiful views from the pool to the ocean

the good: grounds - well maintained, no garbage around, trimmed and green pools - gorgeous, infinity pool has the best view in cuba beach - good for long walks, close to Playa Pilar the not so good: public washrooms - in rough shape, don't bother with pool-side food - it's Cuba! :)

Let’s look at the good... Nice location at the end of Cayo Coco. Weather was quite favourable. Staff were always nice, polite and easy to talk to. Resort was clean and mostly well presented. Not so good... Checked in and found our room not ready. Ok we were a little early for checkin. When we got to our room we found two double beds vs 1 king or queen as requested. Went back to front desk to see if they could get us into another room and were told sorry no. Hotel is sold out and they†[... read more]™re expecting 300 more guests that day. Also, this is a family hotel and most prefer two beds. I of course pointed out that if 2 beds is preferred and there are 300 more people coming they should have no problem putting in a single bed room. (Btw, our flight was the first to arrive that day) Alas, no was the answer and check tomorrow. Hmm, check tomorrow was soon to become a very popular phrase during the flowing days. Additionally, our group of 3 couples had also requested a ground floor. Not a priority for myself but all of us were on the 3rd. A real difficultly for a few of us with health issues. Not how about some change at the front desk? Not today, sorry maybe tomorrow. Diet soda became an ongoing difficultly during the stay. Snack bar had diet cola but not the pool bar. Had to walk to the snack bar to get dc then back to the pool bar if you wanted a drink made with it. Next day, none at snack bar but some at lobby bar After that none at lobby bar but a few at pool bar. None at buffet restaurant maybe tomorrow. Hmm Ketchup? Ran out on day 2 entire resort for rest of week. Bathrooms, hotel room bathroom was nice, but often there was a septic odour wafting thru the building. Pool bathrooms were disgusting, partially closed and you had to put your hand thru the hole in the wall to flush. Snack bar bathrooms were open only 1 day for the week and I’m told for good reason. Btw, toilet paper was some what doled out and some rooms actually ran out. Maybe tomorrow Let’s talk about the nicely stocked refrigerators I the rooms. 2 beers, 2 colas, 1 bottle of water. They would remain stocked only if you didn’t use anything. We had our room restocked after requesting 3x in one day. And eventually we’re told if it didn’t show today we would get extra tomorrow. Our friends never got restocked. Too bad our cleaning lady didn’t look after that part of the house on. She was excellent. Restaurants ran out of stock daily. You could only guess what was or wasn’t going to be available that day. Butter? Maybe tomorrow. Ok yes tomorrow was the day. yah. I mentioned the resort was clean and well presented, except the public toilets. The view from the infinity pool was beautiful, looking out on the ocean. However there was an old volleyball court they had closed down. If it were not for the net still up you never would have known what was there. Haha just looked a little cheap and unkept. I know, a lot of complaints. Not really complaining, more like observations. Would I recommend this hotel? No not really. It’s was full and lots going on. I know there are worse places near there but also some nicer ones too! One other observation, the resort staff were very nice but they are all looking for tips for everything. I even had the chef point at his tip plate as he was about to serve me my dinner! Wtf! I think tipping is fine and am very happy to tip for services but come on! Really? Reminded me of Jamaica where even the advertising tells you to bring money for tips! I was not impressed by this behaviour at all!

Melia Jardines del Rey: Great Time!

Overall Fantastic! The hotel itself is relatively new showing some age and wear. Our room was very clean the maid I forgot her name (Nyala?) cleaned building 6 second floor was super clean, I saw her when she wasn't looking dust and mop behind and underneath the bed. The only thing that was annoying was the faucet and shower temperature in our room was super hot almost to the point of scalding. Everyone smiles and say hello. BTW the cappuccinos and Spanish coffee were excellent! An ongoing issue is not enough towels so I brought my own and 3 days later we booked the catamaran/snorkling excursion and received towels. The food was ok - its Cuba. You will not starve go for the grill stations but theres sometimes a wait. The drinks were great they are generous with the alcohol. The entertainment shows were tipical except one night they had a live rock band that was very good they played anything from the beatles to AC/DC excellent they had the whole crowd on their feet! Also look out for the gardener with the Prairie Falcon that hangs out at the resort cool bird.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great week!

Had a lovely week at the Memories Caribe😊Great beach! Our room was clean, shower was hot and cute towel animals on our bed everyday when we got back to room lol. Our friends had issues with shower and toilet but was taken care of right away. Entertainment was good, especially the Retro show. The a la cartes were very good too....the restaurant nearby called "Lenny's " was a nice afternoon out, you can get there by taxi... would go again😊

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: A little disapointed

grounds are decent. fairly clean. pool is nice. beach is amazing. the resort itself is starting to fall apart. Lots of things are not working. Phones in the room, safe, air-conditioning. Both coffee machines at the buffet. soft ice cream machine., faucets and sinks missing in bathrooms, hand driers hanging off the wall, on and on. I would say that this resort is much closer to a 3 star at best. couldn't get beach towels as promised. Had no bread in the resort for three days. Only able to book o [... read more]ne restaurant. when we went, there was only three parties there and many open tables., wife spent almost 4 hours in line trying to book restaurants. Sunwing reps were not available. on and on...… workers at the resort were wonderful. Always tried to accommodate.

Sol Cayo Coco: Great resort

Great small resort. Staff are amazing, food was repetitive, but good. rooms were layed out good. Balcony. beach was nice. With lots of huts on beach. The entertainment/ shows could have been a little better. I would go back there
