Sol Cayo Coco: Exceptional Staff
The food at the Sol Cayo Coco is good, the resort amenities good, but it's the hard working people at the resort that made our stay amazing. Thank you to the staff at Sol Cayo Coco for making our stay exceptional!
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Magnificent Resort
We had an amazing time. The staff was friendly and always willing to help. The hotel was clean and the food was good with plenty of choices. A couple of minor things with our room were fixed immediatly. The entertainment was wonderful something for everyone. I would recommend Sol Rio de Luna Y Mars as a place to go.
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Amazing weather, amazing people...but
We've stayed at a number of different 4+ star resorts in Cuba. Sanctuary at Grand Memories is by far our favorite. Princessa Del Mar is supposed to be a 5 star resort, but when it comes to their food -- and we're not picky people at all -- we'd rate it a 3. For an easy read, here are the pros and cons: PROS: - Rooms/balconies are a good size and kept very clean. Beds are comfortable. Rooms are somewhat dated, but that didn't bother us. - The beach is absolutely beautiful. Lots of palapas [... read more]
Tryp Cayo Coco: 12 Days of Sun & Fun
Amazed at how much they’ve been able to fix after the hurricane. Gardeners were working very hard to restore the vegetation. Breakfast at the buffet was great with lots of choices. Snack bar was close by the pool and convenient. Went to the Cuban reastourant once beef was nice and tender. Went to the Azul International 3 times cause we like lobster, cost an extra $20pesos but we’ll worth it. They have a new beach bar with a big sitting area, but no washroom nearby. They’ve brought in a ton [... read more]
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Beautiful Resort with a Great Beach
The resort is very nice and has a great beach. There is great landscaping and lots of different areas of the resort so it doesn't feel too crowded. When you are on the beach you can see a lot of other resorts which is nice. This resort is no right on the road and there are decent views from the rooms. The location and layout of the resort is one of the best things about this resort. The food was much better than I expected. They make an effort to have some variety. They have a lot of coo [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: Remarkable Resort
The Melia Varadero is amazing!! The grounds, buildings, rooms, etc. are very well taken care of: clean, tidy, welcoming. The staff is excellent and aims to please. There are many places to sit and have a drink and/or snack throughout the day and night. We stayed on the Level which is worth every extra cent. We love this resort and hope to return in the future.
Melia Marina Varadero: Very good resort. I would return to it.
This hotel was good, clean rooms excellent service all around. The food was okay you could always find something to eat. The only complaint about the food was that you had to look for hot food or stand in line to get cooked to your taste. I liked the fact that the entertainment switched sides of the resort since no other place to hold events.
Melia Marina Varadero: 1* resort
Where do I begin... Firstly the reason we chose this resort is because of all the reviews we read on Google and trip advisor claiming to be a 4.5* and the Actual Resort Claiming themselves to be a 5*. This resort is far from a 5*, more like a 1* if that. Firstly after I booked this resort I sent the Hotel 2 emails requesting and confirming that I will need a crib for my 9 month old, both email replies from the Hotel said yes they will provide a crib upon arrival. We get to the Hotel, I advise th [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: Loved Melia Guillermo
Thank you tripcentral! I would go back in a heartbeat the beaches are beautiful tons of chairs to sit lots of shade you can walk for hours either way beautiful colours to the water. The rooms were very clean a little dated but nothing that I would complain about but they were cleaned daily restocked daily I have no issues with that in fact I have nothing but good things to say about how clean the rooms and the hotel was. Love the food I was actually quite surprised at the different kind of v [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: A great Cuban retreat
Well-established resort with an awesome beach. Friendly staff great food. Wonderful place for family Or adults. Great staff would recommend this placeTo anybody that wants to enjoy an awesome Cuban experience
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Great Vacation
I spent two weeks at this location. I loved it. If I had to be picky, I would have liked a sit-down bar in the resort, which would have made it easier to meet people. Also, I got dinged 15CUC because I didn't return my beach towel to the right place at the right time. And the wifi is pretty marginal. Other than that, I had a wonderful time. Great, friendly staff, clean room, beautiful beach.
Melia Marina Varadero: Mediocre Resort
The hotel looked great from the outside. Rooms are a little worn. Left our towels on the floor to be changed on the third day. Staff just folded them and put them in the counter damp to continue using. When we asked for clean linen housekeeping did not want to change them. Beds were rock hard. Food in the main restaurant was the same each day. When we tried to book our a la carte they insisted they were booked solid. When we did wrangle reservations the restaurants were 90 percent empty each ti [... read more]
Hotel Camino del Mar: Beautiful Resort
This was our first time in Cuba and we had an amazing time at the Melia resort. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The beach is breathtaking and all amenities were great and easy to access.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice resort
The room is bad. The shower is not working well and ventilation fun was broken. The food is poor and not many selections and almost same everyday. The stuffs are nice and the beach is the best I like in this resort.
Melia Jardines del Rey: Nice beach
Everything is great except room and food. The beach is the best. The food is not good. Almost the same thing everyday. The stuff are very nice. The fan in the bathroom is not working. The bed is wet all the time.
Melia Peninsula Varadero: Not worth the money.
Beach is good, but not enough shade. Renovations in progress, dirty and loud. Rooms that were suposed to be renovted were only covered with paint over the moulded walls. No door in shower or on the bathroom in one of the rooms. Food areas were very dirty, suff unpleasant, food lacking . Towels and sheets replaced only if requested, only big towels, no face towels and smelled very bad .theater was being renovated, shows in lobby which want lobby was always full and loud at night.
Melia Cayo Coco: Best Beach Vacation
We have returned from our 3rd visit to this wonderful hotel. We were very hesitant about booking as we could see the widespread damage that Hurricane Irma did. Things in general are all back to normal although a few repairs still need to be done but they do not really impact your stay. Still no roof in the theatre, but we preferred the shows in the lobby! Beach ranchon still does not have their outdoor grill, but they did grill inside. We felt the beach area a huge improvement over last year - m [... read more]
Melia Las Dunas: toss up
half decent resort over all but was in premium room but air coditioner could have worked better always was on high even at night which I should,nt have had too do it never worked right the phone was good to call out but it would,nt ring in the room if you wasn,t watching it too see the light flashing you would,nt know someone was trying to get you and I called them 4 or 5 times in few days before they told me they haven,t had a phone to trade it in they should have said before that, the vodka w [... read more]
Melia Marina Varadero: A trip to remember!!
This was my first international trip. My husband and I were very pleased with the Melia Marina resort! The staff was friendly, the food was excellent and our room was very clean, spacious and had an awesome view! The pools and swim up bar were great too! And the beach was my favorite place to be! We are hoping to return someday soon!
Melia Jardines del Rey: I wouldn't go again
The actual building is nice. The pools are nice but not cleaned very regularly. The food was questionable at best. If there was a food that was decent they ran out of it more then they served it. They only give 1 bottle of water per room for a family of 4 and refused to give any more when asked. We ran out of hot water for 48hrs, lost power in whole resort last day with no storm or cloud in the sky. There is a huge language barrier which is very difficult. I would not recommend this hotel to an [... read more]
