Melia Marina Varadero: Great Experience
The resort has almost all the facilities you want. But I have to say; you have to ask about everything. The space is so spread-out that you won't know just about everything. beach area can be a distance depending on where you're staying. Other than that, food is good, but not if you're expecting fast food; this is not a fast food place and there're so many options even for vegetarians. I personally like the food, enjoyed it every day.
Muthu Playa Varadero: Wonderful Time!
Our first time to this hotel and I would definitely recommend it. I went with my adult daughter and made some wonderful memories. The staff from this resort make you feel so welcoming and were very helpful. Lots of people from different age groups. The beach was absolutely gorgeous! The pool and room were good as well. The food was good but the beach grill was number one especially the chefs and Pedro who took care of us every day...I would recommend it 100%.
Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero: Poor Management and customer service
We travel to Cuba frequently and our recent trip was the worst experience we ever had. Resort was rated to be 5 Star but it's not. First thing we experienced after checking in and heading to our room was broken and missing floor tiles in the hallways and even in the elevators through the resort. Linen in the room had moldy smell. When we go to Cuba we keep our mind open when it comes to food but never experienced cockroaches running around on the food in buffet restaurant. Third day at the resor [... read more]
Club Kawama: Club Kawama
The grounds were great well maintain, the Staff are incredible very friendly.... The reservations to Restaurants was amazing. My room was alright but would of preferred nicer one. Love the beach ðŸ–.
Starfish Jibacoa: Great Christmas Vacay
I can understand the mixed reviews about this resort but for us it was great. The rooms are dated but clean and the sprawling grounds make up for any issues you might have. The food is just okay, I didn't go hungry but didn't really enjoy any good meals there. Except the a la carte restaurant. The bar staff, the room staff, the activity staff and the rep for Transat were all amazing. The beach was beautitufl and uncrowded which is what we were looking for. Never a problem finding chairs o [... read more]
Memories Jibacoa: Memories Jibacoa
Resort was ok. It was well kept and nicer than other resorts I’ve stayed at in Cuba. If I had a choice I would go to other Caribbean islands instead. The food was not great but that is to be expected in Cuba. The staff were friendly and always willing to help.
Muthu Playa Varadero: Another great vacation!
Our third stay and it’s still a good place to go. It’s worth the money you pay for. The beach, of course, is the absolute best! Beach chairs are usually always available. Noticed the new beach chairs by the pool...from what we’ve heard, some new ones will be available for the beach. Front desk service was always friendly and courteous. The bar staff (Dennis, Emiel, Lozzaro and Roberto) are forever on their toes serving up whatever it is you want and the bestest ! The buffet restaura [... read more]
Brisas Del Caribe: Won’t go back.
This was probably our worst experience in Cuba to date. It was our eighth trip and typically are satisfied with our expectations. This trip was very different. The hotel was overbooked so they had people in rooms that weren’t fit fur animals. The desk staff didn’t care. They would stand talking to each other and ignore the people at the desk. We were to have VIP privileges and that DID NOT exist. Very disappointed. This resort is no longer “Canadian†visitors. Many people from Russia [... read more]
Punta Peninsula Varadero: Disappointing start to the new year
The hotel has the potential to be quite nice. It was obvious that the entire place needed an overhaul. From a distance it looks nice but you quickly realize that most buildings are in need of repair, the pools and common areas all have broken potentially dangerous aspects that need repair. Staff are clearly over worked and more staff were needed to just run the place decently. We were there a few days before and after new years. Our room was filthy, the phone and TV did not work, the patio door [... read more]
Hotel Los Cactus: Repeat stay
This was our second time at this resort and we had another wonderful time. It is a smaller resort so it is not crowded. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Situated on a beautiful beach with direct access to the ocean. Lots of loungers, umbrellas and cabanas. We really enjoy our time here. Food is ok, you can certainly find something to eat. You can not compare it to our food at home but hey it is Cuba. We are looking forward to going back in the near future.
Muthu Playa Varadero: Amazing resort with excellent service
They are updating this now. But all in all it’s very good. Great people. And amazing entertainment! Every evening was a new experience. Beautiful beach Very good service. Would be nice for destination weddings
Roc Arenas Doradas: Great Hotel
This was our second trip to the Arenas Doradas. The hotel, staff and meals were great. A special New Year's eve buffet was very good. The grounds are beautiful, and as always, the beach at Varadero is outstanding. Always lots of beach chairs. Would definitely recommend if you are seeking a smaller, friendly resort.
Melia Las Americas: Excellent Resort
The whole resort was so nice and looked after, grounds were clean and well manicured. Lobby, restaurants and bathrooms were very clean, rooms were great. Staff and service was 5 star, they were all so happy and enjoyable to be around. Can't wait to go back!
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Great resort!
Staff was very warm and friendly. Food was pretty good considering it was generally a rotation of the same dishes. Premises were exceptionally clean and environment felt safe during night and day. Beach is smaller but really pretty. Sheets in rooms aren’t the cleanest sometimes. Otherwise we had a lovely stay.
Playa Caleta: Nice spot!
The hotel was great for the price, but as a beer guy, I was a little frustrated that there was only one spot that served beer. The pool bar did but it had funny hours. All in all, amazing beach. A lot of Russians. Better food in the town.
Hotel Villa Cuba: The resort offered a lot for the price we paid.
We loved the Resort because it's clean and with in walking distence of Varadero. They are constantly cleaning day and night. The landscapers are at work daily. Always plenty to eat at the Buffet and don't forget to book your special dinner nights. We also enjoyed the nightly entertainment and that fact they occasionally include the audience.
Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Good value for money
Large resort. Food is good, can be a bit salty, enough variety on a daily basis to find something you like. Nightly shows okay - standard as in other resorts. Staff is friendly and and always ready to serve you - no issues at all. Of course tips are appreciated, but I did not feel they were expected. In talking to the workers, most preferred goods as tips (toiletries, gently used clothing, shoes) since these are hard to come by, even if you have money. Overall, a very good stay!
Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Loved it
Amazing resort and services. Loved the buffet. Loved the catamaran guys. Made lasting memories! Fun activities everyday. Loved the vibes. Nice family resort! :) had lots of fun. Yummy ymummmm fun fun yay
Starfish Jibacoa: Resort from Hell
Room smelled like sewage and was in overall terrible shape. Too many locals hanging around the property. Staff were super unfriendly and only made an effort if you spoke Spanish. Waste of money!!!!!!
Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: The Resort was okay, I would rate it as a 3.5
The Rooms could use some upgrades. The grounds were very clean and well maintained. I would rate the beach a 5 out of 5. Very clean,no seaweeds. The staff in the dining room was very friendly, got to know a few of them where hugs were being shared on the last day of the vacation.
