Sunset at the Palms: Love this resort for peace. & tranquility

Beautiful grounds, with a Polynesian flair. Very Zen feeling.I beleive it is more geared to a mature crowd. No loud music. Piano bar at night in the Martini Bar.Food was wonderful. If you aren’t busy tomorrow I’m need of some relaxation, conversation. reading …this is the place of your dreams. I am 75 yrs old and there were many my age at this resort.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Beautiful resort

This resort is amazing. From the cleanliness of everything, to the yummy food, to the amazing staff. It has absolutely everything you could want. Best restaurant was the Mexican although they were all very good. The live music they have every night is wonderful.

Very clean, bartender Raymond was amazing making us feel special and makes amazing espresso martinis. Beach was beautiful and clean. Food was delicious at the buffet, so much variety to chose from. Tyrone Morgan from the Vibe Team also very social and hospitable. All in all we enjoyed our stay and would go back in a second.

Riu Negril: Was ok!

Updated rooms, grounds kept clean. Most of the staff were very friendly & accommodating but a few did need a lesson in customer service. Sunwing rep. really didn’t seem to like her job & we felt like we were bothering her. Nowhere to be found when our flight was delayed & left to fend for ourselves. Buffet had a good selection, steak restaurant was excellent but I will say the overall disappointment was the way they handle a la carte reservation…you have to log in at midnight to stand a chance [... read more] of getting a reservation 48hrs ahead (no sooner, no later) or you are out of luck…we only got one (steakhouse) and that was because we set our alarm for 12:01am and luckily got in- ridiculous we had to do that on a vacation. This was a common complaint for alot of people we spoke to.

Royalton Hideaway Blue Waters: Beautiful beach & Great Food!

This was our second time in Jamaica. First time at Hideaway Blue Waters! Resort is lovely, food is fantastic and the beach is amazing. There were a few things we had issues with but they didn't make or break our experience. The AC in our room didn't work well so it was very warm which was unfortunate. The closet door was broken and beat up and the door to the bathroom didn't actually shut. We obviously weren't happy about any of it but we didn't spend much time in the room. A few other things we left on comment cards were that it's very hard to book resturants as it's all on an app and not user friendly, the pool shuts down at 5pm which was very odd at an adult only resort and the nightlife entertainment could use work! We still had a great time overall those are just a few things that we questioned!

Princess Senses the Mangrove: Beautiful resort

Princess Senses is a beautiful resort (adult side) with lovely ocean view/front rooms, staff who are friendly and helpful and restaurants had excellent food. Despite initial room reserved not being available which was disappointing, the staff arranged a perfect quiet swim out (not platinum) room with amazing pool and ocean views in building 4(4116) our 2nd day and switched smoothly. The room was spacious, quiet and tastefully decorated with great outdoor space for relaxing. The housekeeping team did an amazing job as did the shuttle staff. There were minor annoyances like having to pay for what should be included at a luxury all inclusive like extra fee for room service, night club and top shelf alcohol that is really not superior! The 1 soap dispenser in bathrooms was annoying as well. Alcohol in rooms would also be a plus ! It is more than an hour drive .Arriving on a Sunday and taking private transfer were definitely the best options to minimize traffic and stops otherwise it would most likely add another hour. All in all would definitely return to enjoy this resort and all it has to offer.

Samsara Cliff Hotel: Great stay

It’s a really beautiful spot. Small family run hotel. If you’re into big all inclusive chains this isn’t the spot for you. If you enjoy quieter off the beaten path locations this is a lovely spot. We didn’t do all inclusive but there were lots of great spots within walking distance. I much preferred this location then the beach but we walked down to legends (owned by same family) or took the free shuttle

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Beautiful resort

The hotel was very good. The staff were good and courteous. The Food was comforting. The entire resort was clean and tidy. I will recommend this resort to anyone. I just think the room is a bit dated and required some sprucing up to make it more modern.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: One Love - Everything Irie

The Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach is a fantastic all inclusive for the price in Jamaica. The staff, food, event/entertainment and beach options kept us engaged and helped us wind down for some real rest and relaxation.

Couples Tower Isle: Lovely resort

Had an enjoyable week here. Room was clean and had all we needed. We were on the garden side. Very lush view, but next time I would go for the ocean side. Food was excellent. Bayside was our favorite. Only drawback for me was the amount of stairs because of sore hip and the beach is very small. Other than that would recommend this resort. It is small and we did meet lots of nice people. Shout out to Kay Ann.

Riu Palace Tropical Bay: Great week at the RIU Palace Tropical Bay!

We had an amazing week at the RIU. It was nicely designed and laid out. We loved the smaller buildings for our rooms - an amazing view of the Oceanfront - and best when we were post-beach with a in-room bar G&T in hand! One could not find a nicer beach that this one - not even the famous Negril 7-mile beach in our minds. The water was warm, that gorgeous clear turquoise colour, and, even had some starfish to delight us! The facilities were wonderful - clean, fresh, thoughtful, efficient. The [... read more] variety of bars, including the Coffee Bar (OMG, SO GOOD) were perfect, the pools weremclean and varying degrees of noise and busyness; the main buffet was plentiful and the food was always yummy. We enjoyed the Japanese a la carte and the Steakhouse - both got two thumbs up from us. (note, the portions were BIG which not all resorts do, and, truly, we could have easily shared one of our Japanese apps!) The staff were the true gems of the week I think...and I would encourage guests to partake in all of the amazing entertainment that was on offer. From the activation team (OMG, they don't get much sleep and give it everything they have to great results!) to the servers, bar staff, housekeeping, front desk, gift shop, spa team, and the ground keepers - there were always smiles, small chat, and, they remembered us. It made it all just that much more special. We partook in the white party at the RIU next door, learned about Jamaica's history during a day time session, and were surprised and absolutely shocked by how much we loved the silent disco (seriously, SO MUCH FUN!). We are already planning our return next year and, if I had to find one complaint...I'd say it was having to leave. Truly, it was that great (note: it was not at max capacity our week I don't think...but I do not believe you'd be fighting for chairs by the water or pool or in the buffet...it truly is a great resort!

Royalton Blue Waters: Worst resort I ever stayed at in the Caribbean

The hotel advertises paradise and a 5.star resort and amenities. Since our arrival, nothing was prepared, organized and nothing in the hotel was working. The kids splash area was not working on most days. The hotel was operating out of only one tiny elevator and the staff was also using the elevator and holding it for minutes at a time at different floors and even going in with big carts instead of giving guests the priority. There is no way to get any food at the entire resort from 11am to 12:30pm. This is lunch time for most vacationers and for children who need access to food. Only if you have the deluxe ocean view room which was a really nice room with an amazing view is when you have the option of room service but it takes at least an hour for the food you order to arrive. If the restaurants are closed for an hour and a half and it takes an hour to get a room service order then what's the use? When you try to walk into a restaurant and take food out, the staff will always give you a hard time and then tell you will let you do it just this one time. Like they're doing us a favor like we're begging for food. This vacation cost $600 for the week. Out of that $5000 was for the resort for 2 adults and a child for 7 days. This is not the type of service that's worth this kind of money. We've been to countries like Cuba and received better service and more of a wow effect from 4 star resorts in Cuba than what we received at the Royalton Blue Waters Montego Bay. When I read all the negative reviews, I thought I'll keep an open mind and will try to enjoy and have our own experience but unfortunately, I am surprised that even easy going vacationers like us could be this disappointed in everything. Maid services and filling the bar fridge were missed twice and even when I called to alert them w hours have passed and it was nearing our son's sleep time and no one had come in to clean and when I called the front desk no one answered. I immediately went to the lab bby and there were 5 people behind and front desk. I lost it on them and I told them how unprofessional it is the ignore the calls when they are all just standing there. That's when they finally started to get things rectified. Even the restaurants we were not able to find any spots to book on any. It should be organized in a way where every guest gets to try a different restaurant each night but that's not the case and the staff don't seem to care to help you. They keep telling you to try again tomorrow or go every hour to see if anyone cancelled or didn't show up. It is ridiculous and laughable that you have to jump through hoops to get a dinner reservation and still would not be successful. Finally when I showed my do satisfaction to the 5 staff standing behind the desk is when a supervisor was one of them and she after hearing me yell fixed 2 reservations for us on our last 2 days of our stay. We watched many guests saying it was their worst experience and we even saw a guest crying saying she want a to leave and go anywhere else but there. Overall, we had a good vacation and we enjoyed the weather, the pool.and the beach but that's about it. Bad service, bad food, drinks sweetened using aspartame and other strange tasting sweetness. Sink in the room was clogged most of our 7 days and there was a couple.of days with Luke warm water and no hot water. Very slow services every where Just not worth the money. We give this resort 2 stars for service, 3 stars for food and 4 stars for amenities.

Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay: Beautiful resort

Very clean, the food was excellent. The pool and deck were cleaned and scrubbed every day. The staff were very friendly and were accommodating to our needs. The only issue I had was getting around. I have issues walking and our room was a good walk to the restaurants. It would have been great to have a room closer to them. The beach is ok but we spent most of our ti.e at the pool.

Dreams Rose Hall: Great choice

Definitely an enjoyable stay. The water slide and the lazy river was such a nice touch! Beach had lots of waves while we were there but the water was very warm. Lots of seating available at the beach and pool compared to other resorts. Lots of entertainment options every day! Rooms and facilities were a little older and generally hospitality was good. It was very hard to get drinking water as the fridges in the room didn’t supply much, and the bottles you got from the bar were very small. Riu Ocho Rios: Rockin at the Riu!

Holiday with my brother at the Riu Ocho Rios March 2025. Beautiful clean resort. Had a family room with 2 queen beds on the 2nd floor facing beautiful courtyard with pond, and view of pool and Caribbean Sea thru the palm trees . Very spacious and modern. Double sinks with large shower and amenities. Separate room with toilet. Cleaned immaculately daily , with all towels replenished. special touches of towel designs and flower petals left on bed and curtain sheers draped fancy. Lots of hot [... read more] water. Air conditioner worked perfectly . Never saw any bugs inside our room. Sheets changed often. Left tips each morning for housekeeping. Food was tasty and lots of variety in main buffet. Tried the a la carte restaurants as well , with our favourite being the Kulkarium which served lobster on a bed of delicious rice ! Went there twice ! lol. 5 pools all cleaned daily and surrounding decks power washed every morning . Bars served variety of drinks both alcoholic and non , along with smoothies. Large signs with drinks name and all ingredients which made for easy choices. Entertainment was very good with karaoke night being the highlite especially once my brother performed ! After that , we were constantly approached throughout our week stay by other guests wanting to talk to him , which led us in meeting people from all over the world and having great conversations. The beach was beautiful and we walked it at least 4 times each day with a round trip from end to end being 1 mile we were told. Overall had a great trip at a beautiful hotel. I felt safe and the drinking water was safe to drink and the communication was very easy as they speak English. Oh and electrical outlets are the same as Canada.

Grand Decameron Cornwall Beach: Not as good as 6 years ago!

Most things were good. There was an issue with hot water, there wasn't any. When you took a shower unless you balled up the bath mat against the shower door water would go every where. We called maintenance, they came and did nothing about it. The shower didn't drain well so that was likely the issue, which with some regular maintenance could be fixed.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Back for 7th Time

As always we take a ride with Eric's Chillout Tours 1 876-790-3154 from the airport to whatever resort we are going to. On arrival we meet out buds the Valets Dale and Troy big smiles and hugs. We then check in with Corra who again welcomes us back and there is Orlando with a big smile. It feels like home here. Check in very smooth. We ate most meals at the buffet. They asked did we want anything not out. We got so many smiles and hugs from the Buffet staff, All our hearts go to Simone, Nataha. Titana Yonika and Gloria (who first started when Iberostar first opened) She was a hard working girl who went from cleaning to now working in the buffet. I like when they hire within. Again big smiles. The drinks and service with a smile was also 5 star the big boss Wallen does great with his workers Melissa, Jules, Errol Rickie Sandy Christina Dahjay and Doreen. They have nice people who bartend and can talk and tell stories and are always having fun. We had our room cleaned every 2 days. They did it early in the morning (around 10:00) which I liked. They also had big smiles thanks Kamoya and Paula. The room is so great, big tub, big bed good aur, nice balcony. We spent most days at the activity pool. It was always clean I seen Ty and Dijon always cleaning and smiling. It was quite, service was good and we had nice shade. I went snorkeling with the Life Guard Norris. We saw Lion Fish, Puffer Fish Sting Ray and so much more. We just walking in the water and wow. Jamaicans are like a mirror if you are rude and not happy that is what you get. I get smiles, hugs and laughs so if you see a problem maybe look in the mirror. Anyone who says Jamaicans are rude is WRONG. We will be back for 2 weeks again Feb

Azul Beach Resort Negril: 3.5 star resort with amazing beach and a long bumpy ride to it.

Room- furniture is outdated. Bed was comfy as were the pillows and blankets. Mini bar was stocked daily. Towels and toiletries were always on hand and the room was very tidy. Patio was very noisy from traffic as the road is very close to the resort. Food & Drinks- bar staff were very nice and drinks were good. We did the snack bar ( burgers and fries) ok. We just did the buffet the rest of the week as it was good selection and tasty. It can be quite busy at times. Not lots of shade or loungers so you need to get up early or go with out ( lots need replacing) sometimes you had to wait for towels. Entertainment- We went twice (early birds) middle of the road meh. We got a great deal so we were very happy with our vacation and would go back again

Riu Reggae: Great resort

Service was great, clean hotel, however loud clientele. Would go again anytime. Staff was super firendly and drinks were amazing. No atm at hotel and have to leave the grounds to get cash, would recommend bringning cash.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Beautiful walkable sandy beach!

Arriving at night the trip from the airport was just 20 Km away. Check in was quick and easy. The resort was smaller and more intimate than what we generally go to. We had an ocean view room and was adequate and met all our needs. Room bar fridge and coffee area was always well stocked. With it being a smaller resort there were only 3 a-la-cartes and 1 main buffet, which made it a rather small selection over a period of 10 days. Very nice safe beach to swim at, with a lot of palapas/loungers wit [... read more]h shaded areas. The beach is rather short, should you care walk long distances. Upon check in we were informed of designated smoking areas, unfortunately some guests would smoke anywhere, hence the resort should post no smoking signs around the pool area. Overall the resort personnel were friendly and accommodating. Our concierge Jovayne went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We took an excursion to Dunn River Falls and enjoyed it immensely. The 1 hour bus ride gave us the opportunity to see the country side.
