Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Food was disappointing

I went with my parents for ten days for Christmas break. The resort was very busy just because it was winter break (lots of little, little kids) The beach was nice and the pools were ok, but very cold!! The food at the buffet was really bad - nothing was hot or fresh and there was very little variety. The restaurants were good, but there was usually a 45 min to an hour wait to get in to them. Service was excellent for the most part - especially the service at the pool. The New Years Eve party was a lot of fun as well as the dance party at the beach. Room service was ok, but we had to get the majority of our bottled water from the gym because our fridges were rarely restocked. The grounds were nice and lush and quite beautiful all lit up in the evenings. The loungers at the pool and beach were super hard to get unless you got up at 5am. Perhaps it was because the resort was at full capacity?? If it weren't for the food, our family would probably return, but we love to eat and the food was a 3 star at best.

Dreams Huatulco: Great location, great resort!

Good layout, awesome staff, great selection of food options. The app provided by the resort is great for reference. You can find which restaurants are open and any other information you might need ( special events, shows etc)

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Winter Vacation to Dreams Curacao

We were pleasantly surprised with our trip to Dreams Curacao in January 2024. The service the staff at the hotel provide was good. Our room was a bit dated but it was clean, everything worked and was well maintained. Clean beach towels were provided every morning at the pool, The resort is not to far from the airport maybe a 20 minute drive. Our room faced the ocean on the 5th floor with a magnificent view. At times it was noisy at night time but never past 11:30pm.

Dreams Huatulco: Amazing!!

Everyone was super friendly and the hotel was very clean! There was so many things to do both on site and off site. The food was good. The buffets werent the best, my suggession is to always go to the grill. The Asian and Italian restaurants were superb! Huatulco was an amazing place and we will definitely go again!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: I hate to say it . . .

We travel to DR almost annually and always stay at the same resort. This year we wanted to switch it up and try somewhere new. We travelled on 12/30/23 and were staying for 10 days. I always try to see the good in situations and would never take the time to write a negative review, but Dream Onyx was so disappointing! We arrived late due to flight delays (we rolled in about 11:30pm). We got to our rooms and they smelt musty and smoky. I found empty beer cans behind the vanity, light in shower was burnt out and our kids rooms thermostat was broken. I called room service because we hadn't eaten since 11am. I apologized for calling so late (what can I say, I'm Canadian) - they were soooo rude!! I was speechless at the way they spoke to me. The rest of the week was just ok. The beach is beautiful and the pools were ok. Be prepared for an early rise (5am) to get a lounger at the pool or beach. The music around the resort was so loud. It started at 9am and you could still hear the music from the Breathless resort next door until 3am. Rooms were cleaned daily, but fridges weren't restocked. We had to get water bottles from the gym. The food was so disappointing - the buffet (a lot of nothing) was horrendous - everything was cold and never restocked, counters were messy it was so AWFUL!! The steakhouse and Italian restaurant were good. By day 7 we just ate the mini sandwiches from the cafe or burgers at the beach bbq because by then we all had stomach issues. The breakfast buffet was so bad that we started drinking Bloody Marys for breakfast haha! The Lazy River and the waterslides were great. All the parties were fun; especially New Years Eve and the Beach Party. Unfortunately we'll never go back mainly because of the food situation. Dreams Onyx is a 3 star Max.

Dreams Huatulco: Amazing Resort

This was amazing ! The food was plentiful and tasty. The three infinity pools over looked the ocean. What more can you ask ?? The chair holding was a bit of an issue. Solution was to go to another pool area other than the infinity ones . Rooms were comfortable. Did not spend much time in the room. Area was clean .If you want a restful , quite place ,read a book, or just relax and enjoy the ocean this is a great place . I would recommend to other and would return to this hotel.

Dreams Flora Resort and Spa: Great resort

Great resort. Very nice beach. A lot of private pools for the swim up. Not stroller friendly. No reservation in restaurant so you have too wait to have a place (sometimes 1hour). Overall very nice place! Be careful because if you miss the information meeting on the second morning, the rep of transat will NOT give you the time of the shuttle to go back to the airport. (Will do a complaint about it).

Dreams Natura Resort and Spa: Great family Resort

Overall good resort felt safe food was good. Great for family trips. This is a high wedding resort with at least one per day. Sometimes without advance notice they kick you out of the pool area for the rest of the day for a wedding and at a resort low on chairs you will then not have one. Slides were fun. Roller glider has a weight limit max of 198lbs. Drinks were decent by the end of the week the bars were running out.

Dreams Riviera Cancun: family friendly/not for the night owl looking to party

Beautiful location and views, I had a plunge pool room that was amazing with private access. Very great customer service, staff was friendly and always made sure the room was fully stocked and clean. The only issue i HAD WAS THAT THEY CALL IT ALL INCLUSIVE BUT THE CLUB AND ALL BARS CLOSE AT 1AM. I dont understand how it can be called all inclusive if u cant order or have access to liquor or event space after 1. the food was mediocre on the same level as Cuba, very bland no seasoning, i have had [... read more] better Mexican food in Toronto. They should offer authentic cuisine as an option instead of catering only to Americans. Location wise was not too bad but its not considered the hotel district so you dont have much options to leave the resort. its a good 20-30 min drive to get to the hotel district.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Amazing food!

Loved this hotel! Clean, easy to access everything. Staff were friendly and helpful. Gym is huge and well equipped and the food at the buffet was like nothing I have ever seen. Great place for families.

Hyatt Vivid Cancun: Awesome Vacation Destination

5* Service Wonderful place for a family to spend Christmas. The staff at this resort is top notch. Definitely recommend booking with preferred club privileges. The roof top pool, restaurant and bar are next level!!

Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa: Amazing resort!

What an amazing resort! Everything was perfect from the staff, the rooms, the service, the activities and the food. I highly recommend Dreams Sapphire Resort and Spa for singles or couples. I will definitely go back there!

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Wonderful vacation

We cannot think of a single complaint. The resort was beautiful. The grounds and the rooms were always very clean. The staff was friendly and hospitable. They had a lot of different activities but nothing too intrusive. Just an overall fantastic experience.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Top Shelf

Honestly we don't like to go back to the same resort twice but it will be hard to compete with this one. Food, booze, staff, room all top notch. The animal life in and around the resort was epic. If you have young kids, I'd suggest giving them gravol for the bus ride; it's a bit long and windy.

Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort and Spa: Small Pool

Actually were upgraded to the Secrets side which is the adult side and in the shade all day the swim up rooms. The pool areas were quite small for a resort of this size and were crowded. No shuttle back to the airport was provided.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: A very relaxing stay!

Upon arrival, check-in was fast and efficient. The lobby although small, was comfortable and modern-looking. Our room was a good size, with plenty of storage space, a beautifully appointed bathroom with a MASSIVE shower and very nice modern decor. The sliding door led to a modest sized patio directly in front of our swimout pool. The only complaint about the swimout pool is that it did not lead to the main pool bar - we had to climb over a 3 foot wall to access the bar, but there was very good p [... read more]oolside service provided by Vicky - she was terrific. The steps into the swimout are also odd; 2 subtle steps down from the deck followed by a HUGE drop into the pool, with no handrail. This wasn't an issue for us, but was an issue for some older adults staying a few doors down. The addition of a handrail down to the swimout in some of the suites would be a good idea. Inside the room, the bed was EXTREMELY comfortable and had a good selection of different pillows to suit any type of sleeper. Air conditioning was hit and miss - either FREEZING or hardly any air at all. Fortunately, the ceiling fan provided enough of a breeze and circulation to sleep very comfortably. I can't say that I had a bad sleep at all. The a la carte restaurants at Dreams were fairly good; Olio and Annato had a nice variety of menu choices, and all dishes were prepared quite well. Like a dummy, I ordered a steak one night and then realized, you don't order a steak in Mexico LOL. That aside, all meals were very good. Service by Guardencia (hope I spelled that correctly) at Olio in particular was superb! Staying in Preferred Club allowed us access to the restaurants and facilities at the neighboring Sunscape and Secrets resorts. The food at these locations was also very good, with the exception of the Sunscape breakfast, both al la carte and buffet. This was MUCH better at both Dreams and Secrets. The resort grounds were lovely, and the location was nothing short of spectacular, especially at dusk. Watching the sun set on Cozumel is worth the price of the vacation alone! At the main pool at Dreams, bar service was terrific. The liquor was close to top-shelf, and Gustavo and the crew are great! The pool entertainment crew, especially the wonderful Sara were fun. All in all, I would recommend Dreams Cozumel Cape to anyone looking for an inexpensive, good-value-for-the-money all inclusive resort. We are used to a slightly higher standard found on the mainland Riviera Maya, but for the money we spent we were NOT disappointed!

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Fantastic resort

Staff: all around excellent at the restaurants and bars Yard: well kept, neat and tidy Beach: very clean Entertainment: so, so. However, Breathless resort next door had plenty of adult entertainment. Guests at Dreams have exchanged privileges with Breathless. Did not care for the "white party" held at the beach. Too windy and they played games before music starts.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Very good

Beautiful resort, very well kept and staff were great. They do depend on tips though so be kind. Buffet was great but was not impressed by any of the restaurants. Not being able to book times ahead meant often waiting til late if you are in a large group. Pool with lazy river was great.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Beyond Expectations !

Out trip to Dreams Royal Beach resort was a multi purpose trip ..It was a family Vacation with our adult children and thier spouses , some immediate family members , I was celebrating my 60th Birthday and to top out the week ; my commonlaw spouse and I were married on the beach ! The Hotel is in great location and just a short drive from the Airport ; right on the beautiful Baravo Beach . The grounds are well taken care of and the staff does a great job maintaining them .the grounds keepers [... read more] were constantly working on the landscape, keeping them looking pristine. The Resort is very nice but is showing its age . The rooms were clean , comfortable and well appointed..We opted for the preferred level and were very well taken care of thanks to Billy . Billy really made us feel like family , he answered all our questions and made sure our stay was perfect ! He took really great care of our group , always stopping to chat and check to see how we were enjoying our day and if we needed anything . Billy is a great guy and a valuable asset to the resort The Hyatt group is lucky to have staff like him . Another guy that made us feel welcome was our pool bar server Victor , he always met us with a smile , a thumbs up , high5s He seemed to go out of his way to make sure we were well taken care of he often stop by our swim up to chat and say hello and check if we wanted anything He's a young man making his way and doing a great job ! Our wedding planner Andres he did such an amazing job planning our special day on the beach . It was wonderful ! He guided us through the day , Awesome job Andres I dont think the ceremony could have been more beautiful ! Thank you .. We didn't make it to every dining option...Seaside Grill was very good breakfast options were great and food very good . We had a very fun Birthday party dinner there ..thanks Billy Tides Beach Grill was always good for a quick bit and very tasty ! Portofino was also very good with great service and the most fun waiter Raul .. we really enjoyed his service ! He loves his job .. Oceana was excellent ! For me it was my favorite

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Awesome beachfront room.

Nice room ,the understaffed servers worked very hard. Too many resources spend on time share, not the cleanest resort we have been too, you cant hardly see out the restaurant windows they are so dirty. After breakfast , the food was okay at best . Would not recommend ,Will not return.
