Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: Nice Hotel

The food was delicious! Service was excellent the staff really took good care of you. Always pleasant and very helpful. The sitting area beside the ocean was very nice to sit and have some refreshments. The beachfront was very nice right out side the hotel.

Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: Really enjoyed ourselves

The hotel was very clean you could see employees constantly cleaning areas. The room were good comfy beds no complaints there. Food was good . Overall the only thing that was a bit inconvenient was reserving a hut for the next day.

Catalonia Montego Bay: good resort

The hotel is very clean, friendly staff, food is excellent. Hotel is in need of an upgrade in the rooms. They are clean, but need to update the bathrooms.This is a very good resort for families with small children.

Holiday Inn Cancun Arenas: Not worth the money!!!!!

This resort if thats what u want to call it is not worth your money. The rooms were clean however do not ask for a fridge they do not have one do not ask them to change your money because they never have any to change do not ask for bacon or sausage they never have that either. The food is always the same and cold. If u like refried beans for breakfast lunch and dinner then this is the place for u. The beach is full of seaweed. And do not deal with BD Travel at this resort they give u false info [... read more]rmation and argue with u before they give you your money back. The bar staff and the waiters try there best. The weather was beautiful but u can get that at a better resort please pay the extra amount and stay away from here.

Catalonia Montego Bay: We will definitely go again!

The pros: The price was right! The staff were all friendly, the food was very good, the resort itself was clean & well maintained. Has an adult pool & adult only beach area. Neat layout that allows a lot of quiet beach areas. And of course a large, family pool & beach area. Bonus: smoking is only allowed in designated areas, as it is a family friendly resort. The cons: You have to get up very early in the morning (or late at night!) to go and put towels down on loungers in the shady areas of the beach. This seems ridiculous, but as long as the hotel allows this, those travelers wanting/needing some shade have to do so. Note to Hotel Mgmt: Do NOT allow towels to be placed before 6 am (or 5?), and then enforce this! Take the towels that are put down before the specified time. This will stop the annoying and inconvenient practice. (The one night we stayed up late, we saw numerous towels down already - and it was only 11:30 pm!) Although the rooms were standard Caribbean/hotel rooms...king bed, desk/chair, sofa, bathroom, they did have a very large, open closet to hang your clothes and 4 large, deep drawers to put things away. Also lots of plugs to charge your e-toys (2 plugs on each side table lamp.) Wifi was free throughout the resort, although quicker in the am. Overall a very enjoyable, relaxing holiday!

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: What A Come Back Story !!!

Never having been to that area of the world I went with no bias either way. I read a ton of revues and almost all of them were good, with a few nay sayers. I am totally happy with my time there. The resort was basically wiped out by the hurricane last fall and this resort has staged an amazing come back. When we arrived, our room wasn't ready, so the man behind the reception desk was so apologetic that we got transferred from a partial ocean view smaller room to a full ocean view suite with two  [... read more]bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi, two large screen tv's, and a full living room. The renovation to the suite were just finishing up, so at first we had no safe, the jacuzzi tub had no shower head, and there was even no toilette paper. But as soon as we called, within 15 minutes a staff person would show up and fix our "problem". Every day as you walked your area, one of the staff would ask if your enjoying your stay, and if there was anything they could help with just ask. Three of the restaurants were still under repair , but the other two changed their menus every day, and all of the meals were delicious. Even the hamburgers were excellant. The layout of the pools really impressed me. The kids pool looked great for young families, the swim up bar was suited for active partiers, and for us more reserved oldies, the adult pool was off to a quiet area, with a wonderful little bar, and it was so nice to just sit, drink and socialize. Then to top it off the nature preserve estuary was next to the resort for a beautiful stroll, with turtles, pelicans, and cranes. A twenty minute walk took us into the cultural core of San Jose del Cabo, a quieter, laid back town, with great bars, food, and shops. Try the 'Retro Bar" its a blast. Finally we took a cab to Cabo San Lucas, walked around. Its much faster paced, catering to a more partying crowd, where we had supper at the "The Office", a restaurant on the beach that is an experience you won't forget. It was a total pleasure.

A typical Hoilday Inn caribbean style. Great for the kids , family , couples that just want to be home away from home. Everything is fine, but just fine , drinks are good food is fresh and plenty of staff to take care of you.

Rooms are clean, staff friendly, food is good at both buffet and the sit downs. Jerk chicken hut is very good along with children pool area BBQ (burgers, hot dogs and grilled cheese). Adult beach and pool area is nice, clean and not hard to find a spot to settle down in ( no need to rush down early in the morning to secure a spot). Adult beach is small and not deep at all, watch for sea urchins though, advise to wear swim shoes but easy to spot. night entertainment is ok more it seems for kids.  [... read more]Hotel is dated but there is renovations going on to spruce it up. close to the airport, suggest stay in buildings 3-7 and avoid building 1 facing the pool as it gets extremely hot on the balcony in the afternoon and is loud from the pool and entertainment. stayed as a couple and spent all the time at the adult sections. looks great for young families...

The hotel was very family oriented. The fact that there was a designated adult beach and pool was fabulous as we were not travelling with children. The food was very good. You had to pay at the Japanese restaurant and for extra like surf & turf at the Seabreeze. The rooms were very basic but clean. Maintenance was being conducted in building 7 which should have been done on the off season as well some pool maintenance should have been done. The pool and hot tub was clean and chairs plentiful at the beach and the pool. The resort was very safe - patrolled regularly. There was not a beach to walk on as they were broken up in areas and you could not leave the resort and walk the beach like other places.

Music blasts from 10 AM till 2 AM Daily soup is almost same every day, except flavour is added, i.e. chicken, beef, pork, sea food. Only three restaurants are included, Japanese is $20 extra per. Food and beverages services are not Holiday Inn, but local independent company runs them. Room have noisy a/c that comes on every 5 minutes for 3 minutes, 24/7 If you want to sleep at night, too bad. Your next door neighbour is so loud, that you can't fall a sleep. And it is on top of 15-20 or so people [... read more] "dancing" to disco loud music until 2:00 AM. If you like all of above, come. If not, DO NOT. I will not recommend this to my worst enemy, but I do not have enemies. One family deprives poeple with rserving 8 chairs every day in shade for 6 hours, only to come for 1 or 2 in the afternoon. They put their stuff on chairs at 3 AM to make sure....you know the people like this... Bottom line - you get what you pay for. This is in the bottom of my list of all Carribean resorts I have visited for last 25 years. If you decide to come, ask to be in building 5-7, as far away from main lobby. Unless you like 100 dBa noise.

Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: Well run and clean resort

Our room was very nice, tastefully decorated, comfortable and very clean. The grounds were very well kept and of all the resorts the Holiday Inn was the only one that groomed the sand in the beach area.

Holiday Inn Resort Aruba: Great location - terrible food

The hotel is located on a beautiful strip of the beach though the water is milky in this area. The hotel is well set up for small children. While we could always find something to eat, the food is terrible. The buffets were less than mediocre and nothing was ever warm.

Catalonia Montego Bay: All of my needs and expectations were met here!

For those of us who prefer to spend our travel funds exploring and sampling the culture of the places we visit, rather than blow it on glamorous accommodations, H. I. Sunspree more than surpassed my expectations. The staff are friendly, informative and helpful. Breakfast and lunch buffets were great, but some of the evening buffets could get monotonous, so we tended to book an a la carte restaurant almost every evening. The filet mignon (Italian a la carte) and the "browned" red snapper (Seafood a la carte) as well as the mussels in a tomato and wine sauce will live on in my memories for some time. Top rate chefs at the a la cartes! BTW: I met several guests who were vegetarians and they said that they were very happy with the food at the buffets. I am an avid foodie, so I will give the buffet service a 4 out of 5, which is saying a lot for resort food. I have often thought that resorts should prepare some basic beef or chicken stews, and have pots of different broths or sauces on the side so that people who love curry can jazz up their stews. I often took the broth from a curry dish to jazz up the rice or veggies on offer. Loved the kids bar when I was yenning for something basic: nothing like chicken fingers and fries to fill my tummy after too much indulging the day before. The kids had a huge secured playground and excellent pools to play in - I never used the pools, opting for the amazing island across from the resort. This resort has several beaches so you are never exposed to the noise of deliriously happy children frolicking about in paradise if you don't want to be. They never bothered me: I am not fond of Adults only resorts. Snorkeling was amazing in the island area. I would highly recommend this resort, especially for families, but we singles had no complaints, either. Thanks to all the staff at Sunspree for one of the most memorable vacations of my life. Irie!

International Palms Resort Cocoa Beach: recent trip 2015

The hotel rooms are aging but do have some new furniture, bathrooms need upgrades but the room was clean, the outdoor amenities are great! The pool access to beach fire pits etc are all great for the price and location is great also.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Ok for families and retired couples ONLY

If you have a family or are retired I suppose this would be an ok resort but be forewarned that they roll up the carpet at 10 and the staff are less than friendly. Also be warned that you are at the end of the hotel zone so if you want to go into town you'll be paying for transportation. The west wing was annoying to get to and there is no elevator. This was my 6th trip to Mexico and this was resort scored the lowest of the low. There is zero night life. Front desk staff are not helpful and the  [... read more]bar staff are terrible. If you want a vacation that will numb your senses, stay here. The ONLY positive thing about the resort was the patio of the room. We asked to be transferred and eventually were 3 days later. We paid the difference and ended up at Barceló which was a more enjoyable stay. I would suggest you spend the extra and avoid the frustration of a 1 star resort because that's really what it is. Our saving grace was the WestJet representative 'Rosa' who was helpful in getting us relocated.

We have stayed at this resort with family and friends many, many times before the updating and have always enjoyed the friendly staff and climate. The updating of the facilities have made it even more enjoyable. For example, the new front desk for one thing is a refreshing change as is the water station directly across from it. Garden [... read more]s & pool areas are maintained nicely. All staff members are amazing - they want you back and show it - especially the bar servers and managers in the various restaurants. The 3rd pool by the Sea Tower and the fitness area inside the tower are great. Now a few things that bothered my wife and I: we would not recommend to couples of our age at this time of year (2 wks. mid Feb.) as many of the children are out of school & run wild and are not wonderfully disciplined by their parents. Will try to come back in Jan. next year.) The other point has to deal with surcharges for certain drinks (6.50 U.S. for Buds & 7.00 for Heineken. Right across the street there's a store where you can get them for 3.50 - 3.75. Find out where the locals go and get them even cheaper. Certain items on the menu carry a 10 - 12.00 surcharge (grouper, sole) The twist here is these surcharges apply if you are on the all-inclusive plan but not the others. HUH? Anyway, we'll come back. Sorry for the negative items but we would not be honest otherwise. We would recommend this hotel for travel at other times of the year than we chose.

- The food could not have been any better - The staff were so friendly and genuine - The beach was absolutely beautiful and well maintained - The rooms were very clean and comfortable to stay in - 9 minute drive from the airport in Montego Bay Overall an excellent experience and a reason that I will most defiantly be returning to Jamaica!
