Riu Vallarta: Met my expectations

My daughter and I loved the easy and layout of the resort. The ocean view balcony room was not even am upgrade I chose but it was a lovely surprise. The beach was well maintained and felt safe in and around the hotel. I do prefer more fluid pools vs blocky choppy separated pools but this is my preference and the gym was a bit small to accommodate but I was happy it was functional. The staff were always warm and accommodating. Drinks were inconsistent I find but that is to be expected most places [... read more] in my experience. The food was great, no complaints really. the buffet was always fresh and restocked and had enough variety for us to enjoy and find some of our favorites. The Riu hotels are usually quite good, I would recommend.

Riu Palace Aquarelle: It was a nice resort

The resort itself lobby rooms and surrounding areas were very nice one of the nicer resorts we have been to in awhile. The buffet was a hit and miss sometime, but the Jamaica food was really good and was very happy to see it every night. The Al a Cart were not good at all with the exception of the Steakhouse which was just OK for me but the family seems to like it. The others were not worth the booking and we had to go to the buffet after dinner as things were just not eatable. Want to g [... read more]ive a especial shout out to Josh our waiter at the Steakhouse for taking great care of us and Melvin the lifeguard for always getting us our umbrella's as the palm trees on the resort did not give enough shade at all. I am recommending this hotel but we will not be back last time we will do a resort with kids Adult only from now on.

Riu Palace Kukulkan: Exceptional Stay

The Hotel and room are modern and kept very clean. the staff were amazing and helpful. I had forgotten an expensive pair of sunglasses in the buffet and Ariel (the server) chased me dow on the resort to return them. The food and resturants were exceptional. Durning our stay we watched staff work around the clock to build a new Steak house; which was completed in five days - wow, Mexican work ethic. Riu Latino: Very good resort

Likes: Resort was clean, grounds well taken of, staff excellent, room was excellent and beach was fantastic. Plenty of entertainment day and evening. An abundance of party atmosphere: jungle party, pink party, silent party, foam pool party and of course white evening party. Changes I would like to see: Would like to see a bar closer to, or on the beach. Would also like to see the lobby bar and sports bar have small designated lane where guests can order their own drinks and step away. The [... read more] present system with guests sitting on bar stools all around especially at peak times makes it inconvenient and unsafe because one would have to find 'an opening' and get the bartender attention. In light of COVID, measles and flu, unnecessary close contact should be avoidable. There is a residential black cat near the Moctezuma restaurant. I have witnessed cat lovers petting and holding this cat. Nothing wrong with that. However, plenty is wrong when these same guests go into the buffet restaurant and hold shared utensils without washing their hands. Time taken to travel between the airport and resort, going and coming is well over an hour. I was told about 40 minutes.

Riu Republica: Absolutely NOT

View wise it’s a nice sight.. but the whole place smells of mold especially the club it’s toxic! Most the rooms are leaking,alcohol is watered all the way down. Lastly I got food poisoning for days !!

Riu Palace Aquarelle: Perfect for Families

I found the hotel to be immaculate, with exceptionally friendly and helpful staff throughout. From the front desk to the gardeners, lifeguards, towel attendants, waitstaff, bartenders, housekeeping, and security personnel — everyone greeted us warmly and consistently checked in to see if we needed anything. The entertainment team was energetic and kept the atmosphere lively and engaging. One area for improvement would be better enforcement of designated spaces for children. A dedicated kids-o [... read more]nly pool or stricter supervision in shared areas would help maintain a more balanced experience for all guests. The buffet offered a wide variety of options, which is understandable given the volume and duration of service. However, the temperature of the food was inconsistent — getting a truly hot meal was hit or miss. The à la carte restaurants could benefit from more attention to quality and authenticity. While the Italian appetizer buffet was enjoyable, the main courses lacked flavour and finesse. The Asian restaurant was particularly disappointing, as the dishes didn’t reflect authentic flavours and fell short of expectations. The steakhouse stood out as the best dining experience — the steaks were excellent. That said, securing a reservation was unnecessarily difficult, despite many empty tables. Expanding the selection of side dishes would also elevate the overall meal. Unfortunately, I experienced the loss of a sentimental piece of jewelry from my room, which was deeply upsetting. Aside from that, I would say the resort is well-suited for families looking for a fun getaway. Personally, I’ll be seeking Adults Only accommodations in the future to better suit my travel preferences.

Riu Ocho Rios: Beautiful

The hotel was very clean food was amazing love the view from my hotel room the hotel night life was also amazing the only bad was the walk to my room from the front desk the ground was well taken care of one more bad thing was parking no parking on the weekend

Riu Reggae: Amazing resort

Everything was amazing the cleaning the food the service and the people were so friendly would definitely go back to this resort fridge was always full the service at all dining restaurants was amazing and all the service at the pool bars was great i would recommend this resort to my famiky and friends thank you i had agreat time

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Awesome vacation

We had a fantastic vacation...no complaints!! Staff was very friendly, from check in right thru to check out! Food was excellent, from the restaurants to the buffet. Will definitely stay here again! Pools were beautiful and the wait staff around the pool was great, especially Gary!! Thank you for making our vacation spectacular!

Riu Palace Antillas: Amazing resort

We went to this resort in early September and everything was fantastic except the weather was hot . We like smaller resorts because the access to the beach , pools and restaurants was great especially during super hot weather Staff was very friendly ,grounds exceptionally clean including the rooms , food great ( lots of fresh sea food), the elevators were fast . Great night life 15 minutes walk behind the hotel and some shopping as well There is a wonderful reef for snorkeling with s [... read more]o many different fish to be seen and free snorkeling gear from the resort The only 2 negative things : In order to get a palapa( for proper shade we had to wake up at 5:30/6 am ) In order to eat in the AlaCarta restaurants (4) you had to line up at 5:30/6 pm because they don’t allow booking so I fill we lost beach time when the weather was the best

Riu Palace Antillas: Top Notch Resort!

Resort and the whole Aruba experience were very good. Hotel layout, grounds, pools and the beach area were very good. Food and meals and dining options were exceptional including access to the adjoining hotel. Room with partial ocean view was average. Only othercomplaint was not being able to reserve at restaurants.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Beautiful resort!!!

A very beautiful hotel. The scenery is incredible. Several pools, restaurants, and bars. Just one problem: if you love the beach, this probably isn't for you. The beach itself is nice, with black sand, perfect for swimming. Since the sand is volcanic, the sea bottom is very smooth and firm, which is very good and safe to swim. There are sun loungers on the beach, but no umbrellas at all. A few small trees provide shade, but that's not enough. There's also no bar on the beach, but the guys from  [... read more]the pool bar occasionally come onto the beach, but it takes about an hour for them to bring you a drink. We've been there in September, which is the rain season. Normally, there is a heavy rain in afternoon for a few hours, However, we liked it - the nature is enjoying the rain as we are.

Riu Palace Aruba: Really nice spot

Very nice resort. The service was exceptional. Our room was spacious and clean, although a bit tired. The construction noise was a bit much at times. The daytime music was blasting, im guessing to compensate making it less than restful. I would have like some food service closer to the pool and beach. And would have preferred to make dinner reservations at the a la carte rather then first come, first served.

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres: Wonderful vacation spot

Riu palace costa mujeres. This was our third trip here and it didn’t disappoint. Service at meal times , the wait staff went out of their way to seat us quickly at all meals. Food didn’t disappoint. The pools were great fun, beach was the best. Could always find a shaded spot to sit. We will be back for sure.

Riu Negril: Must go back!

We highly recommend this Resort. Everything from start to finish was organized, clean and relaxing. The beach was gorgeous. Although, we recommend bringing watershoes. Sandra Taylor helped us find this gem of a Resort.

Riu Flamingos: Best vacation

Been there during Christmas 2024 - one of the best trip i ever had. Staff very good, hotel a bit dated but clean and good condition. I love the layout of hotel, not too big, everything just walking distance.

Riu Palace Las Americas: Incredible resort

My husband and I have been staying at the Riu Palace Las Américas for the past five years, and each visit feels even better than the last. It has truly become our home away from home. The welcoming staff, delicious food, and stunning views are just some of the many reasons we keep returning. Along the way, we’ve met wonderful guests from around the world and built lasting friendships.

Riu Latino: Incredible resort!!

This resort offered everything that we expected and more. Upon arrival the roadway was clean The front entrance was spotless floor shiny just an overall extremely clean entranceway into a fabulous lobby, where we were greeted with staff who served us mimosas as we waited to check in to our room. The room was absolutely incredible. We have never experienced such a beautiful modern clean well laid out room there was so much room and just for two people we felt like we had an entire banquet hall to ourselves. The balcony looked over partial ocean view with a forest next to us which gave us the best of both peaceful, relaxing, quiet atmosphere. The food was 10 out of 10 there is not one piece of food that we did not eat off of our plates. The quality of the food and the selection was endless. The staff were incredible always on top of things. The pool, the beach the water were amazing as well really we had no complaints about this place at all to sum this up. We will definitely be coming back to this resort as it left an incredible experience and a five out of five star rating for us. Special thanks to the staff who work tirelessly every single day to make our experience worthwhile by maintaining the resort cleaning our rooms even the public bathrooms were absolutely spotless. Emphasize so much on cleanliness that it was almost hard to believe that anything was ever dirty in the first place. If you are considering on going to the Riu Latino we highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed!

Riu Latino: Great resort!

I recently stayed at this resort solo and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The entire trip was relaxing and fun from start to finish. The food was delicious—especially the buffets, which offered a great variety and were always fresh and well-prepared. My room was very large, spotlessly clean, and comfortable, making it easy to unwind. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which really added to the overall positive experience. Riu Palace Baja California: Just what we needed!

The only downfall of the resort for us was having to go to the family resort next door for activities. We chose adults only and it was promoted that there were white nights, jungle nights etc which we expected to be at our location. Other than that food was fabulous, Sofia (Italian) and Krystal (fusion) were the fave spots for dinner! Staff were great, resort was very clean and we felt very safe in all local areas. Would highly recommend and would definitly return!
