Hyatt Zilara Riviera Maya: Amazing resort!!

Where can I start...perfect size resort, very clean and great staff, food, premises are all amazing! Very close to Playa Del Carmen by taxi...Absolutely loved this resort and will go back a third time!

Secrets Huatulco: well run hotel

no coffee no beach towels no pool side chairs this was a constant complaint from many guests the hotel also had no tables at chin chin on friday nite the place is full of canadians from west coast the turtle release tour was great

Secrets Cap Cana: Secrets Cap Cana - Amazing Experience!

This was our first visit to SCC in Punta Cana. We chose a non-preferred king pool view .. ended up being upgraded to a partial oceanview. Building 5, Room 5308, it was fantastic ... nicely located in relation to the coffee bar/lobby /pool area. When we return (and we will) we are very content with non-preferred. Our concierge, was very attentive, he familiarized us with the property, our room, he set us up with what's app, so we could reach out to him, in the event of issues. He personally vis [... read more]ited with us each day to ensure our needs were met ... he was very kind and sincere. He wanted to do more for us, but we were already happy and comfortable. We were not approached about time share, which I appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed the a la carte restaurants for dinner.. Seaside Grill provided a lovely lunch .. but we really enjoyed the beachside grilled lunches too! The service at restaurants was amazing, And the food was delicious and presentation was impeccable. I like the idea of not having to make a reservation, although we were only a table of 2, we never had to wait more than a few moments to be seated. Poolside drink service and beachside drink service outstanding ... those girls hustle all day long! We enjoyed our evening drinks at the pool bar. We took in 3 evening shows .. outstanding!! I joined in on only 1 ocean aqua exercise class, I wished I started earlier in the week, to take in more classes. Using the in room tablet, we did order breakfast room service...a fantastic service! Excellent service within the Coffee Shop and Best. Coffee. Ever. They were building several more palpapa trees while we were there, on the non-preferred section of this beautiful beach...which will be a nice touch and offer some shade. The beach is gorgeous .. no vendors or locals .. its a gated community .. always felt very safe. There are so many staff members that deserve an honourable mention ... the gardeners, the housekeeping staff, especially those that took care of the pool banos and beach banos ...they were always super clean! The towel fellas, the restaurant hostesses, all the servers ... I'm sorry this is a long read ...We had such a terrific experience, a truly classy resort, that takes pride in customer service and it shows. Any staff we had interaction with, behaved in a professional manner, yet were friendly and genuine. We were treated royally as non-preferred guests... I can't imagine how the level of service could possibly improve, had we been preferred guests. On another note .. using Air Canada Vacations was flawless ... flights were good, on time, transfers to and from the resort were efficient and less than 20 minutes, which was awesome! We would absolutely recommend this hotel to friends and family .. Thank you for a memorable vacation..

Secrets Cap Cana: Awesome resort

This resort is a beautiful place. The rooms are spacious and clean. The whole resort was always kept clean. The staff at this resort would always go above and beyond your requests. They are super friendly and always willing to help out at any time. This resort has an awesome staff that I have never seen at any other resort that I have been to. The food was pretty good at most of the restaurants. The Italian restaurant was the only restaurant that I would not recommend. Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing Resort!

If you’re looking for a wonderful relaxing vacation this is the resort for you! From the moment you arrive you are welcomed with open arms! My husband and I just returned from a 10 day vacation at this resort and all we can say is ‘ it’s amazing’! Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing get away

We did a quick 3 night, 4 day stay here and it was unbelievable! Resort is only 20 minutes away from airport - so key for a quick get away. The service was great, food was amazing, room was perfect (junior garden view - which actually had an ocean view!) We were lucky with weather, as it was 28 degrees daily with a nice breeze by the ocean. It rained a few times but it only lasted 5 minutes and went right back to being blue skies and sunny. Quite a bit of seaweed along the shore that didn't look to be picked up/groomed daily (as seen at other resorts in the Caribbean). I especially liked the infinity pool. I love that everything is walking distance (max 3 mins) and accessible. Would definitely stay here again!

Secrets The Vine Cancun: Great vacation!

We have just returned from a one-week stay at the Vine, and had an amazing week. We did not book with Preferred Club for this stay as those rooms are on the higher floors in this high rise and I don’t like heights. Our request for a low floor was accommodated, complete with ocean view. The floor numbers are a bit confusing. The lobby doesn’t have a floor number, so think of it as zero (like in Europe) with the floor above it as one. But they like four digit room numbers so they add an  [... read more]extra zero and call that the 10th floor. ( In other words, the second floor is 10. ) The Preferred Club pool and three of the restaurants (Grill, Italian and Mediterranean) are on 12, which is actually the fourth floor. This is a “no dinner reservation needed” resort, so it’s good to check in with your preferred choice before you go for that pre-dinner drink and grab a pager. All of the restaurants were excellent, including the three above, the Asian in the lobby, and the seafood restaurant near the pool/beach. The buffet has a great selection for breakfast and lunch, and turns into a Mexican a la carte for dinner, which we didn’t try. Overall service was excellent with just a couple of glitches — had to get our own coffee one morning at buffet and one lunch at Sea Salt Grill was overly long — both due to staff shortages. But these were blips compared to the excellent service we received all week. Vladimir at Olio (Mediterranean) was our favourite waiter. The three pools were all clean (and warm). Towels are plentiful. There is not a swim-up bar but there are two bars on either side of the two ocean-front pools. Service was very attentive at the pools and the beach. The beach here is very spacious, nice white sand, no seaweed during our stay - definitely nicer than what we have experienced at several resorts between here and Playa Del Carmen. But it was super windy during our stay and rough water for swimming. There was the usual towel game among those who wanted to be beside a bar or the jacuzzi or in one of the Bali beds, but there were always loungers available somewhere. There is no smoking at the pools but the designated areas are easily accessible - the Vine outdoor bar off the lobby, the beach, and sofas along the walkway (a few steps up from the pools) that connect the lobby to the beach. No smoking on balconies. Our room was clean and spacious, with a large balcony. The minibar includes beer and soft drinks but no spirits or wine. There were separate his and hers sinks, which was nice, but no countertop space for a makeup bag, etc. A great hairdryer but the only place to plug it in with a mirror was in the bathroom, away from the AC vent. The bathroom setup is not for the shy ... a glassed in toilet which might as well not have had a door lol. Check in and check out was smooth. We declined the club sales presentation and this was accepted graciously ... after a few good tries. Overall, we would recommend this resort. It is good value for your dollar.

Secrets Vallarta Bay: Secrets Vallarta BAy

Enjoyed the stay very much, For the most part, the staff was excellent, the grounds gorgeous and who can complain about the weather!! Housekeeping needs to be more consistent. One day we would get clean towels, the next day only a few would be replaced. As well, the sheets need to be changed more regularly, especially for long stays. The dirty glasses and cups were not replaced but seemed to be washed by housekeeping. Not sure how sanitary that is! Secrets Huatulco: AMA omg resort

This unique resort is nothing like I’ve seen before. Views staff were top notch, do anything to make your stay a pleasure.. food was great lots of options. Beach was beautiful❤️ Rooms were large and very hard working housekeeping staff. The spa was beautiful and massage was best I’ve ever had.

Secrets Akumal Riviera Maya: Best Secrets in Mexico

After a second visit, the resort was still fresh (more lush now) and very well maintained. Nothing looked tired after 4 years. The restaurants are basically the same at each Secrets (food & service is pretty good) and little wait time, if any. Plan for > 1 hour travel from airport. Beech was well maintained (no seaweed outbreak this time) and good snorkeling. Pool area dining each night was just ok (table service was inconsistent). Brand name alcohol everywhere. Only peeve was 30 minute w [... read more]ait for luggage at reception (got my own in the end) & a friend's arrival gift was never delivered.

Secrets Royal Beach: Underwhelming

We were disappointed with most aspects of this vacation. Drinks were watered down, certainly not known brands of spirits, food was edible but nothing special, housekeeping were very noisy to the point where we couldn’t sleep in beyond 8am any morning. If you wanted a spot by the pool you had to be out and have a towel on a lounger before 7am, otherwise it was the beach. We were also conned into spending a morning trying to be sold resort membership and said we were not interested, only to be informed that most people sign up after they’ve been asked 8 times!

Secrets Huatulco: Wonderful beach and views

We loved the resort and especially our accommodation which was a swim up room on the uppermost level of our building. The restaurants were varied and, for the most part, served tasty meals. We especially enjoyed dining at the two outdoor restaurants which were beautifully lit in the evening - very romantic atmosphere!! The service was very good and the resort and its grounds very well kept and clean. That was fine with us although those with mobility issues might find this inconvenient. Secrets Huatulco is definitely a superior resort architecturally and scenically. It can accommodate a large group of people, though, which means the facilities particularly the pool area can be quite crowded during the day.

Secrets Papagayo Resort: Fun in the Sun

We spent a week in Costa Rica and it is a beautiful country!! Secrets Papagayo is a great resort. The food was great, but we found that the buffet was the way to go, always fresh and tasty. If you eat at the Italian restaurant, order doubles as the portions are very small. The staff were wonderful!! Always smiling, and they had the best dancers I have ever seen. Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing Resort!!!!!!!

I strongly recommend this resort to anyone looking for that extra special place ....beautiful grounds, spacious , super clean rooms, unbelievable room service, incredible food and staff, great nightly entertainment. A large number of activities offered throughout the day..well organized by competent and entertaining staff.

Secrets Cap Cana: Terrific Vacation!

We had a terrific week at Secrets Cap Cana. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to greet us at all times. We didn't see one staff member who seemed unhappy to be working there. The food was very good and the hotel facilities were outstanding. This was one of the nicest resort rooms I have ever stayed in. Being 15 minutes from the Punta Cana airport was an added bonus.

Secrets Cap Cana: Expected more

On arrival we were greeted warmly and registration went quickly and smoothly. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The beach was truly magnificent, gorgeous white powder sand and ocean has sandy bottom. No rocks to step on in the water. The resorts beach area is large and the lounge chairs are far apart from each other no crowding. However, there were some things I found disappointing. First, the pools, while quite large had decks overcrowded with lounge chairs. There was only about 6 in [... read more]ches between chairs and they lined the edges of the pools. Felt like you were back on the plane. Second, the food was just average. Although you didnt need reservations for the alacarte restaurants, service was slow and food unexceptional. The buffet was always pretty much the same and uninspired. However the hamburgers from the poolside grill were delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Also, the attention of staff was too much at times. I am capable of carrying my towel, thank you.. All in all I would rate this resort 4out of 5.

Secrets Maroma Beach Riviera Cancun: Ultimate Comfort and Care

Having stayed in several hotels of this category in the Riviera Maya region, I can confirm that Secrets Maroma offers the best service. The staff are extremely caring, pleasant and always ready to help. They pay a lot of attention to little things, which makes all the difference. The rooms are immaculate, comfortable and very large. The food in the specialty restaurants is excellent. Excellent variety also at the breakfast and lunch buffet. The beach is magnificent, the most beautiful in the reg [... read more]ion, no rocks, powdery white sand, with lounge chairs equipped with cushions and palapas for all. Evening entertainment is worthy of note, each evening a show is offered and sometimes a show and a small intimate concert by the sea the same evening! In brief, if you are looking for a place to be pampered in ultimate comfort, I recommend this hotel without any hesitation.

Everything about this resort was excellent from the moment we arrived in the breathtaking lobby. The room, grounds and restaurants were all beautiful and the food was very good. It had a pool for people who wanted a lot of activity as well as a pool for those who wanted a more peaceful experience. The beach was also very nice, although it could get a bit busy as the day went on since it is a public beach. What really stood out was the service of those who worked there. Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing Luxury Resort

This property is incredible and the service and attention to detail makes this resort stand out. The staff were so friendly, courteous and helpful. Our concierge Osvaldo was exceptional, greeting us each day and keeping us updated of daily activities. The food and drinks were excellent from breakfast/lunch buffet to the amazing restaurants to choice from. We loved the no reservations required.
