I enjoyed everything that this resort had to offer minus the food. I'm not a picky eater but I didn't really enjoy any of the al a cartes. The scenery was beautiful, lots of flowers palm trees and well groomed grass. The beach was clean and if you walk down the beach for about 10 minutes you will notice very beautiful blue clearwater. There was seaweed in some areas but I wasn't bothered by it . The workers cleaned up the area in front of Be Live more often then other resorts along the strip. Th[... read more]e timeshare people are definitely annoying and so are the people trying to sell other items along the beach. But if you just say no politely and smile, by the second day they will leave you alone. Our room was cleaned every day and the fridge was restocked everyday. I upgraded to VIP before arriving at the hotel and when we got there we had a fast check in.. Vip included some great features like a better room, access to better bars, pools and lounge areas. We also had no charge to use the safe in the room and we also had free internet . I liked this resort because they had a lot of activities going on both day and night and the entertainment teams was great ! I heard some people complaining about being sick but my group of four did not experience this issue as we were careful with what we ate.
The staff were friendly ! Abel at the lobby bar was awesome ! I wish I could remember everyone's names but I can't .. Everyone in the VIP lounge were great as well !!
I would recommend upgrading to vip .. Contact victor for more information !

“If you like to eat don't go here.â€
Check In/Check Out - if anyone can explain why it takes literally hours to check in a busload of expected guests who have to reiterate every single piece of information already given when reserving please contact me directly. The complete lack of efficiency in this process astounds me. I have travelled to 18 countries and have never been faced with this. Unbelievable. There is absolutely no need for this other than you are in the DR and at their mercy. Complete disrespect to the guests.
Room - [... read more]How does that go - Forgetaboutit. We were "upgraded" to a junior suite. Ok, so we got 2 chairs and a table that made it a suite. We called immediately upon arriving in 12205 - no toilet paper. They did bring it. The sliding door would not lock. They sent a repairman who couldn't repair it and told us someone would fix it the next day. I called the front desk and asked for a different room as I did not feel safe in a room where the door would not lock. "No rooms available". I even asked for a hockey stick to block the door - apparently ice hockey is not big in the DR! Who would have thought that:) No one ever came to fix the door. And no, it is not up to me to remind them of their inefficiencies. Isn't this what a service log is for?
Hot Water - we had no issue with this at all.
Beds and Pillows - OMG it could not possibly have been any worse.
Balcony - there are heaving tiles that are incredibly dangerous in room 12205. I didn't bother reporting them as nothing would have been done to correct the issue.
Housekeeping - I tipped our Housekeeper on Day 1 to keep lots of bottles of water in the room. Fresh towels daily, 2 rolls of toilet paper. She was perfection.
Refrigerator - did not work.
Grounds - lovely, very clean, mature vegetation, washrooms cleaned regularly. The walkways are uneven and crumbling in some places. I spend half my time in a wheelchair and it was very difficult negotiating.
Beach - seaweed can be expected but is cleaned up as quickly as possible by the groundskeepers. We had a half day of torrential rain and the beach was cleaned within a couple of hours once it stopped. For those of you who complain about anything to do with Mama Nature, I suggest you speak directly to her.
Reserved Chairs - in all the resorts I have travelled to and a couple of cruises this is standard operating procedure. I have been to a couple of places where the chairs are marked with the time the roving staff first see the towels and if the chair is not occupied in 30 minutes they remove the towels, freeing the chair. This is excellent as it illuminates those chair hogs who reserve a chair first thing in the morning and then go on an excursion.
Food - I can still not believe how bad it was. My husband has been ill for 3 days now., and we took Dukoral! The al a carte restaurants are disgusting. In fairness the Gourmet was ok - the halibut cooked to perfection but we walked out of the Brazilian and went to the buffet - at least we could eat a salad or bread or dessert. We should have done the same at the Italian. Never tried the Japanese or Mexican. The food on the buffet is substandard at best - and I have been to Cuba where the food is expected to be bad but it was better. I understand it takes a quality item to become a quality dish however I believe the Be Live is purchasing the cheapest cuts of everything and attempting to cover it with whatever comes to mind to disguise the horrendous beginning. I swear the same corn potatoes, and broccoli were on the buffet the entire week - breakfast , lunch and dinner.
Food Staff - well trained, polite, friendly, except for those who work the Brazilian/Italian restaurants (they are the same staff). Rude, disorganized, could care less about providing and service never mind exemplary service. Dirty dishes everywhere. Never offered a drink or wine. The manager of the main buffet needs to go and kick some butt down at these restaurants.
Front Desk Staff - Replace them all except for Roberta who is a gem.
Problem - we were not leaving until late on Sunday evening and were told we could spend the day on the resort and go to the gym to freshen up. Our luggage would be left in a room in the lobby where anyone could access it. No lock or guard on the door. No requirement to prove the luggage is yours. We were not comfortable with this so we were told to return on Sunday morning and if there was a room available we could pay $49.00 to have a 6pm checkout. I asked Roberta if there was please anyway to book the room as the wheelchair makes it difficult to use the gym facilities, my husband needs to help me with a few things and being able to stay in our room until 6pm would alleviate a lot of my concerns. Roberta smiled and proceeded to book the additional time in 12205 for us. On Sunday at 3pm I returned to our room and was locked out. My key card did not work. I found a phone and called the front desk and was told to come to the lobby to have the key card reactivated. I told them this is their mistake and they needed to come to me to fix it. Transferred from 1 person to another and then another and then another and then the phone just rang and rang and rang. I asked a room porter to open the door for me - no English apparently. I asked a Housekeeping Supervisor to open the door for me - "You have to go to the front desk". I finally went back to the pool and asked my husband to handle this issue - he went to the front desk. I ran into our Housekeeper (noted earlier for being fantastic) and she gladly opened the door for me. Frustrating, irritating, unnecessary. No concern at all for the guest.
Animation Team/Nightly Shows - the same standard fair in every resort in every country. Irritating, pushy, loud, minimal talent BUT - they try so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. They are on the premises all day and then into the night. Incredible work ethic.
Photographers, Local Vendors on the property and Vacation Club Sellers - It became so irritating I finally asked my husband to respond to them in Finnish so they would leave us alone. Highly unlikely anyone there spoke Finnish - hey whatever works, right? I don't want my picture taken, I don't want to buy an overpriced, poorly made trinket, and I certainly don't want to have a Vacation Club membership.
This resort is sold as a 4 star and after 7 days we have agreed it is a 3.5 at best and I believe we are being generous. I would never recommend this resort to anyone I know.

Good value resort
Be Live Collection in Punta Cana is a good value all inclusive resort. The food at the buffet was the standard that you find in most resorts. The resort has 14 separate buildings with 3 floors of rooms all with decent balconies. The rooms have air conditioning, ceiling fan over the bed, a fridge and ok washroom and tub with shower. The cleaning staff was friendly and did a nice job daily of making the bed and stocking the fridge with local beer and bottles of coke, sprite and water. The room we [... read more]had was on the ground floor with a walk out to a pool between the two buildings. The grounds were clean and looked after. The secured beach was nice with white flour like sand. The ocean was clean and warm. The main pool and bar area had lots of chairs and loungers with a nice swim up bar. There is a casino and disco on site for evening adventures. They had nightly entertainment by the pool and main bar area. There were many day trips available off of the resort to see around the island. Overall it was a good value resort.

Had a great time!
Two of my friends and I went to this resort the week of Jan 25 - Feb 1st 2015 and we had a great time. The staff was super friendly and always made us feel welcome. We upgraded from the standard room to get the superior deluxe room and our room was really nice. I did find that there was a language barrier for myself, since some of the staff spoke very little English. After it rained I noticed there was a seaweed problem the next morning. However, they did their best to clean it up! We mostly spe[... read more]nt our time by the pool in our V.I.P section anyway, so we didn’t mind too much. If you don’t want to see children at all, the V.I.P section is where you should go! Every night they have a different show for entertainment and they’re amazing. There was a good selection of food at the buffet to choose from which was nice. Our restaurant dinners tasted delicious! I suggest going to the Gourmet and Japanese restaurants… I wasn’t a huge fan of the Mexican restaurant. The one thing I wasn’t impressed with was the vendors that came onto the resort, I believe once a week. They’re very pushy and all of them want your business and can be rude if they don’t get it. Overall, the resort was beautiful, sunny, hot and was a really nice relaxing stay.

Fabulous Resort
The resort was large, about 800 rooms but laid out nicely and could walk to everything easily....large beach, well kept and lots of loungers, no problem getting a spot at the beach...there is an older section of the hotel that is close to the beach, our room was about 15 steps from the sand, perfect for me....the newer section is farther away from the beach but nicer grounds and rooms...much quieter too and lots of pool space....the food was terrific, no line ups for anything....never been able [... read more]to book reservations for a la carte restaurants as quick as we did here....the nightly shows were amazing, Michael Jackson and the Circus were the best I have seen yet....staff were friendly and very accommodating....my only problem with my trip was the other tourists, mostly French and European people, hardly anyone spoke English...found it hard to mingle with the other guest....overall, it was a fabulous resort and I would recommend it

Great Resort!
Gardens and grounds where pretty. Pools amazing. Nice and clean. Fun atmosphere. Swim up pool was simply perfect. Beach had a bit of seaweed and a fishy smell, so was a little disappointed with that. Vendors on the beach can be a little pushy. Staff at resort was friendly and helpful. We received an upgraded room for our honeymoon and it was much nicer than our original room. Breakfast in bed, champagne, a fruit basket and rum!!!

Excellent Resort
This was our second trip to Dominican Republic. This time we choose Punta Cana because we heard that the beaches are so beautiful. The resort fulfil our expectation. Everything what you can imagine was there and it was very good, excellent, beautiful.EVERYTHING!!!! What only really bothered us was a beach. There were an awful a lot of seaweeds all day not only in the morning or in the evening. Tons and tons of seaweeds.!!!!! Not a lot of people were enjoying swimming in the sea. They were cleanin[... read more]g everyday to make the beach better but because of enormous amount still was there everyday. Not a pleasant!

Five time in Punta Cana
Compared to Majestic Elegance, this hotel does not compare - staff at the lobby were rude (had to wait a long time for our room). Our room was missing items like hair dryer, TV, etc. Our building got flooded one day. Could not swim at ocean because of the weeds. Will not go back to Be Live again. Pool was also dirty.

Ist time All-Inclusive & we went @ Christmas!
As 1st all-inclusive travelers, we went with absolutely no expectations. West Jet via Ottawa direct to Punta Cana was fantastic, we walked off the plane into sun and "ola" and onto a bus for a quick trip to the resort. The ocean view rooms were spacious (we received 2 side by side!!!) and with a tall palm in front we also had the pleasure of a constant breeze. I found the cleaning staff reluctant to replace towels with new ones or ensure we had enough toilet paper until they realized I was leavi[... read more]ng daily gifts. For our last 3 days we had plenty of towels, lots of toilet paper and they left flowers for us and prettied the bed.
We dined in the main dining hall for the 1st 3 days until we realized we needed to reserve @ other restaurants. The Brazilian and Gourmet were our favorites. Richards from the main dining halls was a joy to meet and get to know. He is a wonderful ambassador for Be Live Hotels.
The beach was simply fantastic. I was always the 1st one out in the AM to reserve chairs and it was always in order and clean. I miss the beach. Our last 2 days were spent at the pool which was fun. Extremely clean and very refreshing. At no point did I ever feel like I was at a busy resort. It is unknown to me if the resort was at capacity, but at no point did I ever feel like it was.

A nice resort
Our flight was delayed 3 hrs. I was in a wheelchair. When we arrived at the airport one bag of luggage was missing on a direct fight from toronto Canada. When we arrived very late for check in. There were no rooms available. I paid extra for a 'superior room'. We finally got a room after midnight. Keep in mind I was Transported by wheelchair due to a back injury. Our room was under construction. My travel mate got locked in the bathroom because the door handle was missing plus the toilet wouldn'[... read more]t flush. Next day we asked for another room but none were available at that time. Later that day we checked out another room that was better but Certainly was not a 'superior' room. It overlooked the shipping receiving area to the hotel and beach merchants. The resort is very nice. If I had have got the room and view that I paid for due to my back injury. The trip would have been a complete success

Great Service
The grounds and public areas were well kept. The room was a very good size and modern with a comfortable bed. Great weather the week of November 16th.
Excellent service in the VIP/Adult areas. Worth the upgrade. The staff were all very nice and helpful.
A lot of variety for dining, but many people became ill by the second day. I was sick for 6 of the 7 days.
A lot of seaweed on the beach and in the water, not at all what I expected for this area. The vendors on the beach were very loud and persi[... read more]stent. They made it very hard to relax. This was my first trip to PC, so I cannot compare to other resorts in the area.

Brutal
Our experience at the be live resort in punta Cana was horrible !!!! Worst resort I have ever been too. The staff were very unfriendly and there was no excitement on the resort. We met a few staff in the main buffet who were amazing but other then that everyone else was pretty rude. They were doing construction on the resort so half the pool and the main bar where everyone would go to drink and relax at night was closed. All you could hear at night and very early in the morning was banging noise[... read more]s from the construction. We chose this hotel because it had a casino which was closed. The disco was also closed which left you absolutely nothing to do in the evenings. We were constantly harassed with people trying to sell you things that would not take no for an answer and one time a man actually grabbed my wallet saw there was an couple bucks and told me to give that to him for a tip. There was seaweed all over the beach and the beach had a terrible smell. I would never go back and I have been to the Dominican in punta Cana right down the street at the Catalonia Bavaro and absolutely loved it so I was mortified when I saw this resort. We had no warning of the conditions so it was a huge shock. If I wasn't travelling with the love of my life and if the weather wasn't as good as it was I would have been tempted to go home. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone it sucked and was a waste of my money

Be Live Grand Punta Cana
Had an amazing time at Be Live, beautiful grounds. Room was clean and very large. We enjoyed the Bavaro Pool with it's own bar. Food was excellent and lots to choose from. Traveled with two other couples and never a problem to find chairs on the beach together, sat under the beautiful palm trees.
