Beautiful Resort and fabulous staff

Our family of 4 adults and 2 children had a wonderful 7 days here just after New Year's. Our rooms were almost adjacent as requested. There were absolutely no issues upon arrival. Staff were very friendly and accomodating all week. We had emailed the resort for al la carte reservations before leaving Canada and they were made for us. The choices were amazing. You have to remember where you are and what they can offer. There was never any person looking for tips. In fact, they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. I was deciding on a nightcap one evening, and the main lobby verandah bartender made me a Jamaican Grand Marnier. Perfect job. The resort is very large. We did a lot of walking from our room in the 2300 block. It was beautiful. There are several cats by our area and they hung around the gardens. Staff are always working to keep it lovely and clean. Lots of security and they are very friendly if you are. I felt very safe there. The only problem I saw was when people would argue with staff who monitored the exclusive members pool area. People would argue that they spent thousands of $ to come here and they should be allowed to go there. Duh! We did a day trip to Ocho Rios for some shopping and then Dunns River falls. We wanted just a little time shopping and approached our WestJet rep. No problem. She made arrangements for us and we were given exactly what we asked for. Lady Dee , who was our guide on the bus gave us lots of info on the area, made arrangements for the security of our parcels, got towels for us when we forgot ours, and we had a lovely day.

Incredible time

I booked this resort because it was my first time travelling alone and wanted something large and safe. The resort and stay were amazing. My room was gorgeous.....I felt like a princess. It was spacious with a fantastic ensuite and balcony. Housekeeping was diligent, my room was tidied each morning. The grounds were beautiful; very well maintained, The food options were fantastic! All staff were professional, helpful, friendly, positive and hard-working. They interacted well with all the guests. Suggestions for the hotel: 1. a better arrival system (a quiet room, stronger organization-room was loud, process was annoying after hours of travel) 2. WIFI in all rooms-WIFI was sketchy and only worked in the main lobby 3. have some "light snacks" available with the coffee and tea on the patio 4. do not serve/allow food around the pool--some guests made a mess and that was kind of gross to be around when swimming and lounging Overall, an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend the resort and take a return trip!

Fantastic Time

The resort was fantastic. The hotel room was clean, and spacious for a family of 4. The common washrooms by the pool And beach were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was good with lots of options.

Beautiful getaway

The resort was immaculate, staff super friendly, service outstanding and food/restaurants delicious. Definitely recommend this resort. When we arrived at Grand Bahia the staff upgraded us to the Luxury Bahia. Simply incredible.. we are forever grateful.

Great Resort!

The people were wonderful the rooms were very nice, very comfortable with the exception of the beds. The beds were quite hard. The grounds were well kept the food was good. I would definitely go back again.

Great time

Clean grounds, well kept, always workers around keeping it nice. Good food. El a cartes could’ve been bigger portions. Never had bananas at the bars for smoothie type drinks but overall good resort for a good price.

Gorgeous Resort

Resort was beautiful grounds were kept very clean housekeeping services were also very good One thing I did not like was the constant requests to book an appointment at luxury side they were quite insistent Also the temperature of the food could have been warmer

Amazing resort

We've been travelling south every winter for the last 14 years and this is the first time we've gone to the same resort twice. The selection at the buffet was amazing. Foods from around the world to accommodate the variety of nationalities. The gourmet restaurant was outstanding.The resort was immaculate and sparkling clean. Workers were painting, cleaning, and repairing constantly. I requested the west side of the resort facing the bay and that is what we received. The music at night on the veranda was lovely and we looked forward to the nightly line up. The water on the bay side was pristine and the snorkeling was good. We all loved our stay. The only thing I didn't understand was why we couldn't go to the 5 star section on the east side of the complex. I was curious and was wandering to see if its somewhere we would come to next and promptly got chased off by security! I wasn't in the pool or eating the food, I was only exploring. I didn't like the feeling of being a trespasser after crossing some invisible line. Other than that, we all had a great time.

An experience of a lifetime

From the moment we arrived the staff was ready and the fun began. Service was complete and no one was concerned if you chose to relax or seek adventure. I understand Jamaica from its' people; friendly, dedicated yet carefree! On and off the resort we felt safe and fulfilled. Take advantage of what is offered you won't regret it!

Great resort for families or large groups

huge resort, very nice people,great jerk chicken. I prefer smaller resorts with less crowds.resort is starting to show its age. Seems construction, upgrades have started. Beach service would be a bonus. be prepared to walk a lot..

Great stay

I really enjoyed my stay there, food was great, hotel is right on the beach, lots of entertainment and all the staff were nice and friendly. Some rooms that overlook the disco may be a little noisy so if you dont like to party a lot maybe ask for a room on the other side.

Dining Room staff needs more training in many areas they are doing their best with the knowledge they have. Buffett and Kitchen staff: This areas lacks the sense of team work not just for the area which they are assigned but the entire operation leadership is lacking. They need to be trained how to monitor all areas , example while I was there hotel 80% occupied but I waited 17 minutes to get plates at the buffet ,12 minutes for Juice glass. The cook was bring out more fruits and have not noticed there were no plate’s similar occurrence for juice glasses. Cold oat meal porridge and no bowls. The food is very good but some meats not properly cooked or over cooked. Scrambled eggs, if turned black and green should not be served. Very tasty cows tripe but meat not properly cooked, Monished water same meat not properly cooked. There could be more selection of local fruits. I went to the bar for Brandy and was told it will be charge to my room stating, that brand is not included in my all inclusive package. Housekeepers very friendly and pleasant,. No face cloth for two day and no wash cloth for my last day and a half. If these can be improved on this resort will get my vote. I have been staying at the Royal Decameron Caribbean Club since 2006, my last two visit, they were sold out, the Grand Baha Principe was my other option. Amazing birthday trip with family

Decided to come to grand Bahia for my 40th birthday best decision and money i could spend the hotel was amazing the food was amazing the staff was amazing very helpfull and accomodating bought the $9 wifi package best deal works everywhere on the resort

Incredible Resort

The hotel was fantastic, staff were great, super friendly always. Food was excellent. The resort was so clean, staff working hard at all hours of the day till night. Entertainment was great! Views ( Beach + pool) amazing All great things! Had a very very good stay at the Grand Bahia Principe Jamaica! Will most definitely be back soon! Great experience

We had such an amazing time !!! We went for a wedding and I can’t tell you how beautiful it was!!!! We will definitely be back again ! My only complaint is that the main buffet is not air conditioned therefore we didn’t eat in it ever !!! It was that hot !!! So over all this hotel gets a 9/10 !!!!!!!

Lovely resort

Had a great time , resort was very nice, clean and pretty good service, , help with kids overall was. Good resort , beachand pools were lovely, white wine wasnt very good, red was better, we had to ask almost daily for coffee to be replenished in our room, overall ,, i would return to this resort!

Jamaican experience

Had a great time in Jamaica. Experienced everything it has to offer. Met lots of very nice people and eveyone was truly helpful. Soaked in all the views of the lush gardens, beautiful mountains and fantastic food. Absolutely an overall luxurious experience.

What a Trip!

This resort left nothing of beauty, comfort, dining, and service untouched. We had such a great vacation. Everything you could ever want and more is available, always. So accommodating and created such a beautiful wedding ceremony for my friends. I’m coming back for sure!

It was an amazing adventure to the Hotel it was clean beautiful on the inside rooms were great the views were great food atmosphere all over a great hotel clean beaches staff was friendly only bad part not alot of smoking areas

Very nice resort

This resort was well run. clean. Friendly staff. pools were great. The beach was not great. It is man made. Too many rocks and too much seaweed for me. Others seemed to enjoy it. food was good at the buffet. We did not try the a la carte restaurants. The bus ride fro the airport was 90 minutes. too long for me but there is no option.
