Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Great Resort!

We sent a week at the Riu Palace Cabos San Lucas. The resort, room, pool, and grounds, were AMAZIING. We enjoyed the buffet especially breakfast and lunch. Dinner had a lot of choice but is was not the best we have been at. We did not go to any of the other restaurants. The beach was beautiful to look at. Even though we walked on the beach we found it very difficult. You seemed to sink in the sand as you walked. We went to many of the shows. We really enjoyed the artist that played before the ma [... read more]jor show. We did not find that the major shows were as good as others we have seen. We did the tour to Cabo San Lucas and the Arch and San Jose de Cabo. It was EXCELLENT. If it is your first time to Los Cabos it is a great trip.

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Great Value

Stayed at the Holiday Inn Resort in from November 13 through the 20 on a last minute trip. I was very happy with the resort in general. It is a smaller resort that is very well maintained as far as the grounds and the rooms are concerned. I found the layout of the resort to be nice and easy to get around. The food was good. The buffet was fairly small but all of the food replenished and was kept fresh during mealtimes. Personally, I would have preferred more raw items on the salad bar like [... read more] beans or legumes but I am being picky. The staff was extremely attentive and very friendly. It is a fairly quiet place but that suited me. I also enjoyed the proximity to the bird estuary for walks next door and was lucky enough to catch the turtle hatching on the property. Another plus was the resort was within walking distance to downtown San Jose Del Cabo. It is a nice town and recommend going out to the Artwalk on Thursday evenings.

Riu Santa Fe: Mucho Fun!

This was our THIRD time staying at the Riu Santa Fe, and we know it won’t be our last. It really is like the adult version of Disney Land. Drinks and food all day, fun and sun. Not to mention the Vegas-like pool parties they throw 4x a week. They have something for everyone, relaxing areas and party areas and water slides! It’s always so hard to go home. Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: very nice clean resort

Very nice hotel/resort layout! Short walk to all areas ie pools, restaurants and lobby. Would have liked more variety at the buffet restaurant ----- ie ice cream, yogurt and more fruit at lunch and supper time. Cappucinos and regular coffees were really good! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Definitely good value for the price we paid.

Secrets Puerto Los Cabos Golf & Spa Resort: Grear Resort

The resort was beautiful the only downfall for us was all of the stairs. It seemed like all we did was climb stairs! The food was great and the staff could not do enough for us. We had a couples massage and used the hydratherapy and it was so relaxing!

Barcelo Gran Faro Los Cabos: Amazing Resort!!

Barcelo Gran Faros Los Cabos was perfect! The pool, the beach right at your doorsteps, the atmosphere, the food, the service, the people. What more can you ask for when going on vacation! When they say all inclusive they really do mean it, drinks and snacks in your mini fridge, 3 buffet meals in the day plus a snack bar! This resort by far is one of my favourites and I recommend it to anyone wanting to get away!

Royal Solaris: Nice Getaway

This was our first time to Cabo and not the last. This resort, all though a little tired, is very well kept. The customer service level is top notch. The food was very good. We were there for only 3 nights so didnt get a chance to experience any authentic Mexican cuisine as the buffet was American Buffer our first night and the second night we were reserved at the Mexcian Al a Carte and it was Brazilian night. Riu Santa Fe: So Disappointed - Never experienced a Riu like it

I never felt the urge to give a bad hotel review until my stay at the RIU Santa Fe, Los Cabos – Oct 14 - 21 Having stayed at many RIU hotels in the past, this RIU Santa Fe was far the WORST resort/hotel! First like to mention:  Property is beautiful!! The entertainment staff were very good and friendly – always had smiles on their faces!! Didn’t find the rest of the staff to be especially friendly or welcoming! Monday afternoon:  check-in was good and efficient.  After finding my lu [... read more]ggage in the pile of luggage’s left in the lobby, the wheeling/pulling of my luggage around the grounds (huge resort) to find our room in Block 7 (one of the furthest blocks) was on, in the heat. I asked a couple of staff members along the way where Block 7 was, they just pointed the direction.  When we finally got to Block 7, the elevator was broken, only went to 3rd floor, carried our luggage’s up the stair to 4th floor.  I informed the front desk, that the elevator was broken, it stayed broken for rest of the day.  Two days later floor indicator lights in elevator weren’t working. Our first room #7401 - smelled old and musty and had little ants crawling everywhere, safe didn’t work – they did have someone come right away to fix the safe. Tuesday morning:  woke up to a big dead COCKROACH in the bathroom - called reception they said they would send someone right away – we waited 45 minutes before deciding to go for breakfast, leaving money/chocolate bar on the bed for the maid. Went back to our room after breakfast, dead cockroach gone and so was the money/chocolate that was left for the maid – maid had not come in our room yet!!   I ended up leaving more money/chocolate on the bed for the maid!! Wednesday 2:30AM:  turned on light in the room to go the bathroom,  COCKROACHS running all over the floor and crawling the walls!!!!!   Called front desk,  a young guy came up with a can of RAID, started spraying RAID profusely in our room, directly on the COCKROACHS on the walls/floor, and continued spraying them once they dropped on the floor – after almost choking on the fumes, had to try telling him to stop straying for a second for me to get off the bed to open up the balcony doors - could barely breath!!!  He stopped once to put a dead cockroach in an empty pop bottle. Then took him a least 3 mins to kill the HUGE COCKROACH that was on the bathroom counter – the chase was on, hearing him smash the can of RAID all over the counter and floor trying to kill it.  I requested another room that night immediately was told they had no available rooms!!   Next morning again requested another room – was again told by Block 7 receptionist, Lupita no rooms were available, after 20 minutes of going back and forth with her even requesting another room in another Block –  she finally found a room for us in the same Block #7430 but was not going to be available till 3:00PM, again safe didn’t work, was told no one can come to fix safe till 6:30PM (3 ½ hours later).  This room also had little ants!!! Wednesday evening: realized I had left my phone charger/cord in the old room #7401 – phone reception was told they’d would have someone check the room and get back to me immediately - no call back!! Thursday morning: went down to reception to see if my charger/phone was returned, was told by Lupita it was not returned, I asked her if she can have someone go again and check the room, she said no one is available and if I wanted to go check the room myself, I can, I refused and again after going back and forth with her, she finally found a worker to go up and check the room, he came back and said it wasn’t there!  I knew it had to be there or stolen!!   Lupita said I could file a complaint report if I wanted - I did and took a copy of the report.   Later that day, my phone charger/cord appeared in my new room? For the rest of the stay:  it was the same food all week in all restaurants, no theme nights like other RIU’s. If you didn’t participate in the nightly “pool” parties (being with all the young kids in an overcrowded pool drinking (and no one getting out of pool for hours – go figure) getting so intoxicated and with loud music, some nights till 11:00PM) there was NO OTHER entertainment!! There was a constant pile of dirty dishes with leftover food on them and dirty cups in the restaurants and by the pools – not being picked up staff, just the flies and the birds! Some days the pool swim-up bars were closed!?  Specialty Restaurant weren't open when sign said they were to be? Saw a lady throw-up by pool one day and passed out, no one cleaned up the mess, all day - it was gross!! And have to note, this was the first RIU I’ve ever stayed at where the maids didn’t make any towel figures (animals) for the beds! I would NEVER again stay at the RIU Santa Fe or recommend it - being a RIU member!

Riu Santa Fe: Wouldn’t stay again.

We had stayed at this hotel two and a half years ago and it was pretty good. This time the food was absolutely horrible. Only the Asian a la carte was decent. The others were horrible. Steakhouse was barely edible. We wasted almost everything on the plate. Reservations are no longer needed however that means if you want to eat at an al a carte you need to go when they open at 6 pm. I saw mashed potatoes twice and never any shredded or different hash browns. Bacon was raw or so well done it broke when you went to pick it up. The talk on the plane home was how excited everyone was for normal food as the food was that bad. Rooms are old and outdated. Ours leaked the first night we arrived and it was a huge puddle in our foyer and all the way to our nightstand and it took us two hours to convince them to let us switch rooms. They new the upstairs was leaking yet still assigned us the room. They sent a lady up with a squeegee and towel. Then the maintenance guy. The staff are very friendly which was a plus. As well the grounds and pools are quite nice. A little dated as well but palm trees all over. It is a loud resort so expect pool parties if you wander towards that side of the hotel. We stayed in a quiet building so no issues. The bars and restaurants open late. Never when it says so expect to wait as they aren’t ready. Def would stay at the new Riu California next time and just use Santa Fe’s pools.

Riu Palace Baja California: An amazing resort

I would give this resort a 5. Pools were all great and huge and clean there were 4. Dining all good and the buffet was tasty and plenty to choose from. The rooms were nice and big and cleaned daily. The view from this resort was very beautiful to look out to the ocean and see the ships from a distance and the sun sets as well. Couldn't walk the ocean beach a little hard to do but manageable.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos trip 2019

From our arrival everything was perfect. Offered cold cerveza's upon arrival. Our Room was spectacular, a Master King Ocean View room on the third floor, overlooking the main pool, and ocean. The sound of the waves were amazing. We tried all restaurants while we were there, the food in each and every one was beyond all expectations. Riu Palace Baja California: One of Our Best Trips

Everything went smoothly and both Tripcentral and Sunwing service was great. The hotel was less than a year old and the facility was modern, clean, beautiful in every respect. Very simple design which appealed to us. The pool area is spectacular with great ocean views. Sunsets are beautiful. Beach is walkable and wide but beware of undertow if you go in the water. We used the buffet and enjoyed every meal. Good variety and always found plenty to enjoy. Terrific service there. Show area in the evening was comfortable and no bugs! Room was very nice with a great shower. We liked how quiet and low key the place was. If you wanted party action the Santa Fe is a 5 min walk.

Riu Palace Baja California: A five star experience!!

This resort exceeded our expectations! My daughters and I were very impressed by the facilities, the food, and the exceptional customer service. The whole experience was fantastic! We would definitely consider going back. The facilities are beautiful and impeccable, the location is great, close to the airport and right next door to the other two Riu properties and their amenities. In particular, the staff of the hotel made it an unforgettable experience as they went above and beyond the [... read more]ir duty to make us feel comfortable and to provide an amazing service. From the staff at the beach and pool, setting up our chairs, umbrellas, the towel personnel, the bartenders, chefs walking around to make sure the food was to our liking, etc. in sum we would 100% recommend this resort. The only hesitation would be the beach; however, we were warned ahead of time that we could not swim in the ocean, therefore, we needed a hotel with a "good pool" and this was for sure the right choice fo that!

Holiday Inn Resort Los Cabos: Nice resort friendly staff

Hotel was clean and nice friendly staff. Only had 2 restaurants to choose from so alittle limited for 7 nights. Lots of beach front but unfortunately the time we were there you couldn’t swim in the ocean due to the tide

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos: Wonderful Resort

This is an absolutely wonderful place to visit. So wonderful we have been twice. The staff is amazing. The pools are great and food is delicious. In regards to dining I would prefer being able to make reservations as if you are apart of a bigger party you tend to have to wait a long time and the staff are not ecstatic about accommodating a large group. Very scenic and perfect for family vacations.

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing potential but cockroaches in building 7

We needed to change the building because in villa #7 are huge cockroaches and we found even in our bed. The pool guys are adding Clorox in the middle of the day when people are in pools. No security guys and often people are fighting. In 8 days I cut two fights and no security showed up. It’s the same food every day, no changings at all. You need to go find a table and ask to be cleaned so you can have your breakfast or lunch. Even when you have no sign on the door to do your room, they are still knocking asking if you want cleaning. Very good resort for adult parties, lots of activities and sometimes kids club available.

Breathless Cabo San Lucas: Amazing resort

I have never experienced such a beautiful and luxurious place. Everything was perfect and totally above my expectations. I am so happy to have experienced a week of luxury. I can’t express it any better.

Riu Palace Baja California: Overrated

The resort is new and the rooms are very modern which is why I wanted to stay here. The pools were pretty nice as well with many lounge chairs and no shortage of umbrellas. However the service was pretty bad from the moment I got there, no welcome, no champagne and then put in a room where all I could hear were the outside a/c vents which are super loud. We got moved to another room which was across from Riu Santa Fe so it was loud all night as well from the pool party. The food was terrible as  [... read more]well as the drinks. We ate at the resort buffet once and a restaurant before getting ill. We left the resort every day to eat at the marina or at medano beach. There was also a bad smell kind of like sewage every so often in our room, room service was terrible and house keeping was as well! I paid over $1600 pp. no more Rius for me! I recommend anywhere on Medano beach- preferably non all inclusive although sandos is lovely!

I loved the resort, super clean, rooms very comfortable and the food was excellent! Service was friendly and helpful. The pools were clean and water temperature was excellent! Very happy! Loved the pool parties and bars and entertainment
