Bahia Principe Explore Akumal: Travel to Bahia Principe after lockdowns

Over all we are impressed with the Bahia Principe family of resorts. We travelled through out all 4 resorts in the Mayan riviera- and were impressed by the safety measures in affect. Our room was sanitized before we arrived, gloves were provided upon arrivals to all restaurants and buffets, and hand sanitizer stations all over the hotels. Masks were worn by all staff- and the policy was enforced when in all common areas. We only have 4 stars for rooms as the rooms at Tulum are updated and Akumal [... read more] is still waiting for an update, pools and beaches are ok- but you can travel to the other resorts to partake. Overall- an amazing trip as always at the Bahia!

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: Our Wishes came true--Again!!

We are repeat visitors to this resort, and it did not disappoint. The staff were friendly, the grounds were gorgeous (beach and pool both beautiful!), rooms were clean, quiet (stayed in building 16), and comfortable. Internet connection worked very well. The food was wonderful! Loved the buffet restaurant, and had a meat feast at the Brazilian restaurant, El Rodizio, and a pleasant experience at the Mediterranean. We love to walk, and enjoyed the tennis courts for a game we play (no charge,  [... read more]but need to reserve). Covid precautions were excellent, and on-site testing was available (for a fee). We plan to return again next year!

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Wonderful Resort

This resort was kept very clean, the staff were energized, friendly, courteous, eager to help and very happy! The grounds were extremely well kept and there were staff members everyday working on cleaning up the gardens. It was so nice that Covid protocols were in place and staff adhered to them and also enforced them. The show and dinner theatre was extremely well done and was like a mini Cirque de Sole!!….very impressed!! The shows put on by the staff were very high energy and well done! Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

We enjoyed our week (Jan 24-31) at this beautiful resort. Staff was so friendly & really went out of their way to look after everyone. The resort had hand sanitizer everywhere & the staff wore their masks consistently. Chairs around the pool & tables in the restaurants were well spaced. The food was amazing. Loved all the ala carte restaurants & the buffet was outstanding. The 3 pools & kids area were very well maintained & beautiful. Lots of palapas on the beach & umbrellas around the pool. We were first put in the 4 block of rooms, but the smell was terrible, so we were moved the next morning to the 3 block & the room was great. Large room & balcony. Very nice large bathroom with great amenities. All in all we would highly recommend this resort. Lots of walking & stairs so for people with mobility issues it might not be ideal. Covid testing was done in our room & we had the results the next day. Very convenient. Don't hesitate to go to this resort.....it's well worth a visit!

Our overall stay was lovely, appreciated all the staff, everyone was happy, friendly and very helpful, protocol in keeping everyone safe during this pandemic was very appreciated- made us feel safe and comfortable. Definitely recommend Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Limited food choices, great place!

Vacationed for 7 days and only allowed 4 restaurants to dine in while the rest of the days are the buffet. The beach and the pool is top notch but limited in food. The room floors could use some scrubbing, its similar to Cuba but this is mexico, it could be better. If your a sushi person, look else where as they have no to limited sushi. You have access to sushi on your dinner but sushi is limited to 8 pieces. The steak is sometimes chewy or dry. But this is the spot if you want the beach and pool.

Grand Palladium Colonial: Couples Trip - First Time @ resort

Hotel Design: 9 out of 10 Food: 1 out of 10 Rooms: 5 out of 10 Staff: 7 out of 10 Pool: 9 out of 10 Beach: 9 out of 10 In summary - it's a nice resort however food is not good. You shouldn't pay more then 1250 per person

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Palladium Colonial Cancun

Beach area was awesome....main pool was really nice...rooms were just fine (ask for second or third floor for more privacy)..gym was really well equipped...food and selection was really good...service was just fine ..will be going back again which is the best review. One area of improvement is the transportation from the airport was a milk run with multiple stops..so a 1 hour transit became a 2 plus hour transit. Recommend this be a non stop trip.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Don't expect to much... Beware!

The overall experience is great, but not the best. If your looking for a nice beach and venue. This is it. If your a big food person, this place is not for you. If you miss your breakfast at 10am, you won't see another food closer to 1pm which is hard when you overslept with kids. I love food but they will limit with what you can eat. I'm vacationing for 7 days and only allowed 4 places to dine in and the rest are buffets. Sushi is terrible as the sashimi are limited for 8 pieces only, that alre [... read more]ady counts for other sushi. You can only have 8 numbers of sushi in total and the rest kinda disappointing. Buffet are a *MeH* and repetitive. Nothing to exciting or new. I would definitely recommend another place if your into food. They don't tell you that the food is limited until you are there. The rooms are old and the floor could be scrubbed. I rate the rooms 5/10. The only thing that saves them from good graces are the pools and the beach areas. BEWARE!

Catalonia Royal Tulum: Very nice resort but a little dated

Overall, great experience. The food was average and the resort was dated. The covid protocols were great. We really enjoyed the beach and the services (most times). The food selection needs improvement and some servers/bartenders are better than others. No one made the same Mojito.

Bahia Principe Explore Coba: Best resort so far

Can't say enough about everything about this resort, from the awesome welcome when we arrived, the courtsy from the staff to the great service. Grounds were very well keep up no garbage anywhere on the ground. Very clean. The staff went above and beyond for all our needs. The food was second to none and the availability was great. The entertainment was also perfect. So much to see and explore. Very quiet resort yet so much happening. Catalonia Playa Maroma: wonderful resort

We had a great time at the Cataloinia Playa Maroma. The staff were excellent. Octavio was so generous with his time and extremely helpful. We felt cared for the entire time. The housekeeping staff, Isabelle was wonderful. The food was tasty and the drinks were plenty. Bed was soft, and the resort had all we needed for a great week. Good value for the money.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great experience

After reading the reviews we were sceptical, but after arriving every person was extremely friendly staff was great our service was great rooms clean properly cleaned every other day beach was nice well groomed ,food I love ,and was not disappointed the ala carts were excellent, The concierge and bartenders went over the top, had one of her best trips I’ve been to Mexico 4 times and this was one of the best experiences

Grand Palladium Kantenah: Time of our Lives.....

We have recently returned from the Grand Palladium Kantenah and it was a wonderful experience. We spent 11 days and it was amazing. My man proposed to me on the beach and I could not think of a more romantic proposal. We can not wait to return however here are a few things I would recommend: The Romance villa suite with ocean view was not in prestine condition... Very professional and prompt service made for one of the best vacations I have ever had.

Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya: Amazing Resort for the price

In general I was very pleased with Grand Sirenis Resort, beautiful place to stay and we had great time. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I loved how you came up with those different vibes for different swimming pools. Though, I am mainly a beach lover, I can definitely appreciate that the pool lovers could find their own choice how to relax. This was my 1st time observation in any hotel and you nail it.. Though I opted not to clean my room, the cleaning stuff was really nice, they were very accommodating, changing the towels when needed, I was very pleased I loved the lazy river, what a great option, we absolutely loved it!!! One thing though, some guests forgot how to act and share and they would remove the tubes from the lazy river and took it with them. I mentioned it to some of those people that the tubes have clear sign that they belong to the lazy river only. I think the pool staff and staff on the beach should pay more attention to that and ask to return those tubes to lazy river I loved your gourmet coffee shop, however almost all the time there was a huge line up there. I would suggest adding more staff there, as the line was always moving very slow, or perhaps creating another coffee place. Adding more staff would definitely help. I loved the little restaurant on the beach serving lunch. It was great to get the food without having to change the clothes and go to the buffet for lunch. The ladies serving drinks on the beach were priceless. And they were absolutely super pleasant. love them. I loved the fact that you have a lot a la cart restaurant, but I was actually disappointed with the quality of food served there. Not at all better than in the buffet, that was a huge surprise. especially with the Mexican restaurant that should be a proudly representing local food. It was not even close what I was able to taste in the past at the real local restaurants, that was disappointing. Checking inn, though the staff was very pleasant, took waaaay too long. After a long trip, I was not happy with almost 40 minutes wait to check inn On the other note, I loved the fact that you had those concierge desks in few locations, that was extremely helpful on a daily basis, especially with the big size of the resort. One more thing I was a bit disappointed was the money exchange issue. It was not uncommon that there was no pesos available for the exchange, and usually there was lack of small bills. It took me four trips to kind of get what I needed. Still not what I wanted. This should not happen in 5 star resort, very inconvenient Over all, I was happy with my holiday, I would come back and recommend it to my friends. I also loved my tripcentral agent Nicole. She was extremely helpful and absolutely great to deal with

Grand Sunset Princess: Great Resort

I enjoyed my stay. The swim out suites could use some up keeping on the stairs down. The suites were a good size, bathrooms were modern. Grounds of the resort were clean as were the pool areas. Overall very nice resort.

The Sens Riviera: Honest Review

This is a budget friendly resort and one that you get what you pay for. If you are expecting amazing food, beautiful rooms - look elsewhere. But as a family with younger kids we had a great experience. Room - we booked a partial ocean view room and did not upgrade to the sun club. Our room was not great (aside from the view that was awesome). The bathroom had a terrible smell. The shower and glass looked dirty (I tried to wipe it down and it was clean just looked dirty). The rooms were very  [... read more]dated. The last day I found mould on the bed skirt (I would have moved if I found that earlier). Food - the food was okay. This is not a five star resort so we got what we expected. We could always find something we would eat at the buffet. Since the hotel is at 60% capacity the a la carte restaurants did not require a reservation and they were all fantastic. The pool side grille and the coco cafe were the best features. It is right beside the pool and my kids could eat whenever they wanted. It was quick and convenient and didn’t require us getting them changed into dry clothes. Resort- There are a lot of pools but many of them require an upgrade to the sun club. The main and kids pool were where it was at anyways. The entertainment staff were great (and not annoying). The kids loved the games and so did we. The beach was nice and everything is a 5 min walk from your room. There are quite a few large rocks in the water but the snorkelling is amazing. The Rex Dino Land is also a really cool feature but it is the only thing that is far from the main resort. It required a golf cart and we had to wait a long time when we called to have a golf cart take us back. Also note that the jungle view rooms are located in Rex Dino land and far from the main resort. Staff - the front desk staff are awful and not helpful. We are also pretty sure one of them took our iPad. My son set his iPad down and we walked away. We noticed within 30 min and went to the front desk to ask and they immediately said no (didn’t make any inquiries just no). The second time we asked they called the security desk and then said no and the third time they said to come back in a few hours and security would review the footage. That was the day before we left and we came back multiple times but security never got around to reviewing it. We had a few other inquiries and were met with dismissive unhelpful attitudes. The rest of the resort staff were amazing. So friendly and welcoming. My kids loved Carlos at the kids swim up bar and the staff at the buffet would always laugh and joke with them. The night time shows were decent with the best one being the fire show. All in all we had a good vacation. We felt they did a great job sanitizing and ensuring the resort was safe. We would come back if the price was right but it’s not a resort we would recommend to family or friends.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Great value!

Resort surprised us as it was not receiving the best reviews yet maybe they were from unfair people? Rooms were nice, staff was great almost everywhere throughout. The property was quite walkable and the swimming pools (cooler than expected) were plentiful. Beach was a good size and the water temperature was amazing. Good swimming with very little coral. Food in buffet was ok, much better in the restaurants - Blue Moon and Steak House and Italian were our favourites. It could use a bar with dancing for night life but this place was excellent value for the money

Hyatt Vivid Playa Del Carmen: Amazing Resort Experience!

This was our first time at the Hilton in Playa Del Carmen. We were there for "Departure", which was supposed to be a 5 day festival. The event was cancelled and we had no choice but to ultimately enjoy the resort and other local experience. We are sad to know that those who bought packages through Departure were refunded their full ticket and resort amounts but we did not since it was booked seperately. I will he asking Trip Central to look into this and see if we can at least get something back [... read more] since we were there for this event However, the Hilton offers everything you are looking for from an adult experience. The food and restaurants were hands down some of the best you can get. All seafood options were top notch. The pool was always kept clean and the love entertainment were slow at times and cater to a bit of an older crowd but in the end it's what you make of it by participating. This is a full beach front resort which has all activities from Jet Skiing l, parasailing, banana boating, scuba diving and much more all on the beach. One of my favourites experiences is the 24 hour room service for food. This allows anyone and everyone to eat in their own comfort while also being cautious of covid-19. Getting to the resort was easy and getting out of the airport was seemless. There were no tests required to enter the country. Great time and I would recommend anyone who is on the fence to book and get your experience as this is def a one of a kind.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Very Pleasantly Surprised!

I am very glad I didn't take much stock in all the negative reviews, because this resort was amazing! All the extra time and effort that was put into the extra safety measures definitely did not go unnoticed, and despite the fact they were extremely short staffed, everything was still very organized, the rooms were always clean, the drinks were refreshing, and all the staff were very pleasant to speak to! The beach was also very nice, very soft sand, but the shore was a little rocky, so water sh [... read more]oes made swimming a bit more comfortable. The rooms were also great, very clean, and much larger than a lot of other resorts I've stayed at. It was also very humid when we were there, but they had de-humidifiers in every room, so as long as you set it properly and remembered to empty it as needed (it only took 30 seconds out if our day), then the humidity wasn't an issue. Check in took a bit longer than usual, but like I said, they were very short staffed so that was completely understandable. Also, the resort app was very useful, as it was always up to date with which restaurants and bars were open or closed each day (again they were short staffed, so they rotated one restaurant to be closed each night, while all the others remained open). All in all, this vacation was definitely one of the best I've been on! You could see how much hard work everyone was putting in to make our week great, and it was definitely very appreciated!
