Brisas Guardalavaca: Changing

This was a great resort. The food was always the best in Cuba. It is under new management and they seem interested in saving money. They have redone some decor upholstery but cut the staff and the food is not as good.

Playa Pesquero: Wonderful Vacation!

My two sons and I had an amazing time at this resort! The resort had something for everyone. The beach was incredible and we spent most of our time there. Pools were nice too but we really went there for the beach. Food was exceptional with the buffets having an impressive variety to choose from. The a la carte restaraunts served scrumptous meals. The staff were friendly and helpful and were especially nice to my kids. We would certainly consider returning here for our next vacation.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Nice Resort

The beach area is small and the ocean floor has many rocks. This area is good for snorkeling. The adult pool (when it is not full of children is very quiet and relaxing) We stayed on the quiet side of the resort which is the Plus Side. The A lacart Restaurants were very good. The staff were wonderul and the rooms were very clean.

Don Lino Hotel: Loved it here!

Room quaint and clean, staff amazing, grounds clean and pretty and I loved the size of the resort. Small, easy to get around all the other guests were either reepeat guests or going to return again. I loved it

Playa Pesquero: AMAZING TRIP!!

This was my 4th time travelling to Cuba and this was by far the best resort I have stayed at. The rooms were a little outdated but clean and not falling apart. I've stayed at some with paint peeling off the walls and tiles not attached but none of that here. The food was great. Always something delicious. 4 a la cartes were included for the week and we used 3. We found that the buffet was just as good as a couple of them but highly recommend the Italian restaurant. Excellent bar service, massive [... read more] pool (very clean) and super friendly staff. The beach was pure white sand and beautiful warm ocean water. I have nothing bad to say about this trip. I would go back in a heartbeat!!

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Love this Resort

We love this resort because it is right in Guardalavaca. You can go and meet and party with all of the local Cubans. Can walk on a flat walk way all the way down the beach. The sit down breakfast at the 24 hr bar is amazing. If you don't like what is on the buffet there is lots of local Cuban restaurants to go to. This is our third time to this resort and will continue to go back

Brisas Covarrubias: very disappointing responses from management

We paid for VIP stay for two weeks. Hotel room was not VIP standard; nice and big, but kid scribbles from a marker on the vanity, no drawers to put clothes in (there was space to hang items), when we had issues which we tried to speak to management about, it was a continual "we'll check into it" and no-one ever got back to us (or checked into it!). I went back everyday during the second week, with no satisfaction. At 3 p..m. the day before we left (at 6:00 a.m.) there was a note stuffed into our [... read more] door about a return guest dinner in 3 hours - we think it was a badly timed attempt to smooth things over - my husband told them we had been there for 2 weeks, so we felt they were a little late. We never did get the wake-up call we had requested. Entertainment at this hotel is almost nil - we've been to other Cuban resorts with really good offerings before dinner, after dinner, then the major show. There was nothing here until 10 p.m., sometimes later, and it was just one band. The restaurant could not accommodate everyone - line-ups for breakfast and dinner. Food was o.k., salads plentiful, soups excellent, bread freshly baked, good ice-cream - but few utensils to cut cakes, spoon puddings, etc. Often there were no glasses for juice, soup bowls had run out, and dessert dishes were non-existent. The a la carte restaurant was very good, and we enjoyed our two dinners there. The staff were all very nice and as helpful as they could be, and our rep, Abel was very consciencious. The two people giving massages were WONDERFUL. The resort is favoured by Quebecers, and we estimate at least 75-80% of the guests were from that province. Unfortunately a few of them (not the resort's fault!) decided that they could smoke in the dining room while the rest were trying to enjoy dinner. We had been there once many years ago, had a wonderful time, and thought it would be interesting to visit it again -- but because of the lack of interest on management's part to address our concerns, we certainly won't ever go back. We have been to Cuba many times before, and are familiar with the way things are done in the tourist resorts. We don't demand a lot, we appreciate what the try to do for us, and usually really enjoy our visits, which are a minimum of 2 weeks, and up to a month. The beach was really nice, and sloped gently into the ocean, so it would be fine for families with children. At low tide you have to walk quite far out to reach water deep enough (waist) to swim. The bottom of the pool is peeling away in places and needs replacing.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Nice place

very friendly staff and the grounds are well maintained. Ocean great but better washroom facilities would be highly recommended. Would definitely recommend the room upgrade if you are going to this resort.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Best of Sand and Surf

Beautiful resort on multi levels with spectacular views. Well maintained facilities, and friendly staff. Great for walking and wandering. Daily buffet and specialty restaurants all had enjoyable food. Enjoyed a tour to Holguin City.

Playa Pesquero: Best property in Cuba

Should be more expensive for what you get. Awesome five-star experience. Best bang for your buck. Vacationed to this property already nine times because of all it has to offer. Great for families. Great beach and great staff.

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: We enjoyed our stay

Our family enjoyed our stay. Something for everyone. Beach and chair availability were good. Snorkeling & diving right off the shore. Resort was clean and well maintained, staff were warm and friendly

Playa Costa Verde: Fantastic holiday

This is my third time visiting this resort which should tell you how great it is! The people working there are friendly and so helpful! The food is great! The beach is very nice and clean. I loved the ice cream stand during the day! Loved the nite aquatic show in the pool, stunning costumes!

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: The resort provides everything that they advertise

The grounds, rooms and public areas are clean and well maintained. I usually find the music for the shows way too loud but we asked for a room away from the bandstand and it worked out. The five minute walk was worth it

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Nice resort

Travelled week of Feb 19-26, 2016. Large resort. 4 pools and several dining areas. Food was typical Cuba. Not a great selection but you won't starve. Very good a la cartes. Italian especially. Friendly staff. Resort & pools were clean, beach not so much. Had a great holiday, met lots of people who go back every year. Weather was perfect.

Playa Costa Verde: Great resort

Luv this resort, been here 5 times never disappoints. Very clean, never go away hungry, alacarte restaurants are delisious. Luv that you can get a real cappacino any time of the day at either the lobby bar or the 24 hr restaurant. Very friendly staff. Would recommend doing a taxi tour in 1 of the old cars & ask for Snow(driver).

rooms need updating also bathrooms are old looking but clean. room had excellent view, beds mattress were excellent, grounds and beach very scenic, long beach with good safe swimming, many steep steps from main pool to ocean could be a concern for some people.lots of act things to due at this resort, excellent entertainment

Aston Costa Verde Beach Resort: Great Value - Very Few Disappointments

Blau Costa Verde was very clean and everything we requested was immediately provided. The beach is beautiful and you can snorkel close to the resort (don't forget to bring your own gear - and, water shoes). We enjoyed going for sailing trips almost every day (make sure you book early so you get a spot and do it soon after you arrive because the weather can create a road-block to getting out on the water). Definitely book on the 'plus side' if you want a quieter experience - and check out the VIP [... read more] lounge which is part of that package and includes a much classier bar than the main-stream one.

Sol Turquesa Beach: Not impressed

We had no hot water for the whole time we were at this resort....Beds were very hard and outdated....light in shower did not work the whole time we were there, we asked for them to fix it and they said they did but it never worked

Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Great location

excellent beach and pool area, lobby, bars and restaurants were good, food in the buffet restaurant was ok, a little more variety would be nice, personnel and service was very good, the one thing which needs help was our room (2049), everything in there was old, shower was terrible and the coffeemaker has not worked in a long time. Sol/Melia should spend a little to update the place

Playa Costa Verde: Nice resort

The rooms weren't very nice, beds where very bad! We had three to a room. My boyfriend son and myself. I paid a year ahead. Two double beds put together for three of us to sleep in! Paid full for all three of us including my son that was under age to do anything.
