Iberostar Waves Tucan: Very Good Resort

We stayed in 1200 Block or Rooms on third floor, close to pool and beach, and really not far away from anything. Room overlooked pool, but view blocked by foliage, and had two DOUBLE beds, which we found was pretty tight. Room overall was clean and nice. Greeted several times by monkeys walking across balcony... Dad, Mom and baby. Fine for us, but not for everyone, they were pretty bold, even tried to grab something off our table. A variety of wildlife on grounds, flamingos, peacocks, agou [... read more]tis, parrots and iguanas. Good alcohol brands and beer (light and amber Dos Equis). Always something to eat, although not spectacular. The a la carte restaurants were good, but not a great deal better than buffet. We ate at Japanese, Mexican and the Steakhouse, with the Steakhouse being the best in our opinion. Recommend the top sirloin. Beach was fantastic! Pool was nice and warm, with physically separate swim-up bar, which was nice. Not too much difficulty getting a lounger anywhere. No disco or after hours activity, if you are looking for that. Lots of families at the resort. Overall, happy with this resort and proximity to Playa Del Carmen. Would stay there again.

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Was an awesome time at iberostar rose hall beach resort.

Excellent property, pools landscaping , beach , people were very nice. Only problem was rooms were musty smelling. They were very clean however.Off resort trips were easy to book through hotel and very safe and enjoyable.My wife and I would definitely return again.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: Amazing place

I’ve travelled for 20 yrs at least two times a year some times three ! I have to say hands down beautiful resort food amazing and drinks staff had the best experience I will be back to that resort ! I’ve told all my friend ! I had the best time ! Will be back with a group this time ! Over all hands down best resort I’ve ever been too !

Iberostar Selection Varadero: great resort

excellent beach, soft sand, wide beach frontage amazing swimming pool very good food excellent entertainment, great evening shows great maid service hotel villas, pool and other buildings: fabulous architectural design. In general, the hotel catered to details; very impressive. Need to improve: - Front desk - Employees were not very friendly and not knowledgeable about the hotel rooms. - Returning guests - We were returning guests and asked for king size bed when we booked. At ch [... read more]eck-in, we got a room with 2 double bed. The front desk employee promised another room with king size bed the next day. We viewed the room the next day, it was still a room with two double beds. Therefore we decided not to change room. - We asked for a room facing the beach when we booked, our request was not honoured. However, our friend who was the first time to the hotel got a standard room with the view we asked for. We had the feeling that the hotel does not value returning customers but to please new customers. If this is the way the hotel treat their returning customers, we doubt if we should do the hotel a favour as to refer it to our family members and friends.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Best resort!

We just returned from Iberostar Rose Hall suites and it was a fabulous hotel. We have been to dozens of resorts across the Caribbean and this resort is by far our favourite. Absolutely no complaints. The grounds were immaculate and clean. All the amenities were within a 5 minute walk from one another. We can't wait to return!

I visited Iberostart Quetzal with my boyfriend in early September for 1 week. Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Loved the Iberostar!

Was at Iberostar in oct/17. Loved the resort. Everyone from groundskeeper to bar staff always friendly. Food was good in all a la carte restaurants and buffet. Had lobster on one night and crab legs another at the buffet! Also some of the tastiest shrimp/scampi I've had if you are a seafood lover. If you like medium rare steak go medium, first time a bit under but still tasted great. Beach and water clean. Entertainment staff tireless and fantastic whether you participated or not. Loved the je [... read more]rk chicken and ate it everyday. Not sure why people complain about small stuff you are in paradise! Please look at half full rather than half empty. Don't look for things to complain about but just enjoy your time there. You will be glad you did. Would recommend to anyone. Would I go back. Probably not because there are so many other places you can visit. Have had similar experiences in Mayan and DR but would not go back as well. 5 stars in my opinion. Irie mon!😀

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Great Hotel

The food was fabulous. The rooms were large and clean. Entertainment was ok. The beach was nice , water was great. Pool very clean and large. Only down fall was no music playing. The resort should have music playing all day so people feel the vibe of being in Jamaica. This needs to be outside, beach and lobby. Staff were all great!

Iberostar Waves Rose Hall Beach: Exceptional Tesort

This was one of the top resorts i have ever been to. The staff was very friendly accommodating and always looking to making your stay pleasurable. Entertainment and staff was awsome especially Mr neat string bean and teddy bear. Food was top notch and selection was 5 star plus plus. Maintenance was always keeping the grounds. Super clean!

This resort is super. People are so friendly and accommodating. The food is great and a big variety. The beach is ok. Not very long and the further you go out the more seaweed you get. Never a problem with chairs. Rooms are great. The resort is well taken care of. I would for sure recommend it.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing resort

This resort was amazing..From the minute we entered the resort it kept getting better and better. Check in was fast, my ocean view room was like a dream, the food was so tasty we are more than we should lol, we both came back 3lbs heavier. The ocean was a beautiful colour and the sand was like powder. The staff acomedated us with all are needs. It's was my bday on Oct 1 and my boyfriend got lots of help making it a perfect day with champagne, flowers and a birthday cake. They food was delicious. We had a perfectly cooked steak at the steakhouse and awesome coconut shrimp and the Cajun. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Very happy employees - always singing. Also, our room was very modern and clean. We had a wonderful stay at this resort.

I had an amazing time at the ibereostar rose hall suites rose hall st james. i was greeted with a nice tasty drinks, My one hiccup was that I wanted a kingsize bed and upon my arrival there was none available. i was put in a room with a double bed which was nice. they did get me a suite on the friday with my request for a king size bed. it was awesome. on the second floor and . the staff are amazing they made my stay memorable. the food is great. i am already planning my return trip and i would  [... read more]stay there again and again. Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: We LOVE Iberostar Paraiso Maya !!!

My wife and I have just returned from our 42nd trip to this Resort. We used to travel around trying different places but this one has everything we truly enjoy. First of all, it is not too far from the airport and cool, comfortable minivans are used as shuttles instead of large, smelly buses. I'm sure nobody enjoys riding a bus immediately after a 4 hour flight. *For your peace of mind, the Resort is secure and gated and security personnel regularly patrol the entire compound morning, noon and  [... read more]night. Our arrival and check-in always goes smoothly. The bellboys take the bags from the minivan and place them under watchful eyes while guests proceed to the front desk. As there are never more than 2 or 3 couples checking-in, the process happens quickly without waiting or lineups. New identification wristbands are made from a very comfortable cloth instead of that old-style sticky plastic. Once a room number is assigned (the rooms are always ready), that number is given to the bellboys and you are taken by them in golf carts to your room. The property is "manicured" daily by an army of groundskeepers. In other words, the Resort is clean and beautiful. No matter how many times we visit, we always notice something new and interesting. If you ever grow tired of sitting on the beach or at the pool, you will be fascinated by a walk around the grounds. Of course the rooms are also cool, clean and very comfortable. However, if you do find something that is not to your liking, for example a wobbly toilet seat, just let your Concierge know and the concern will be addressed and/or fixed right away. Each building has it's own Concierge who will be happy to help you with ANYTHING at all. This brings us to the Resort staff. From the management to the janitors, to say they are pleasant, polite and extremely concerned with your every comfort would be an understatement. Take some time to meet them. What an incredible group of people! Would you like dinner reservations at a particular restaurant? Done! Did you forget something at home? Let them surprise you with a new one by delivering it, free of charge, to your room. Would you like to learn some Spanish? Ask anyone! Is there a particular brand of alcohol which you prefer but is not stocked on the premises? Don’t be shocked if they send somebody to the liquor store for you! These people are unbelievable! They do everything they can to EXCEED your expectations. One thing which we most enjoy is meeting and getting to know the employees. One thing we least enjoy is finding out, upon a return trip, that one of our many friends is not there anymore because they have moved on to new employment. It is sad but there are always new people to meet. Believe me, the Resort would not be the same without these GREAT people. The food is fantastic. In fact, the food in the buffets is so good and daily so diverse, that there really is no need for the specialty restaurants located around the Resort. Iberostar Paraiso Maya has it’s own golf course. A beautiful layout which is also maintained to perfection. In fact, Big Break Mexico was filmed there a few years ago and I was thrilled to watch the World Team Golf Championships which were held there. Green fees for guests are just $59 and that includes the cart. One really nice feature is that the “all-inclusive” aspect of the Hotel extends to the on-course beverage cart! *My only words of caution will be advise you all to avoid spring break. Anywhere! Teenagers are (and YES, I used to be one) insane, loud and inconsiderate. Finally, and also for your peace of mind, please be confident that the water served in restaurants and buffets IS bottled and clean. Drink all you want without fear of Montezuma’s Revenge. Just don’t do anything stupid, like trying to impress your friends by power-drinking in the hot sun, and I promise you will have a fabulous vacation.

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar: Best Adults Only Resort

We just came back from the Ibersostar Grand last week, we went for our anniversary and can safely say this is the best adults only resort we have ever been to (we have travelled extensively to the Caribbean and Central America). I know our stay was going to be excellent when Felicia at the front desk upgraded us to an ocean view room upon request, thank you so much again. The room also came with butler service which we never experienced before, Romaine and Ronaldo made sure we were well looked after. Everyone on staff was always smiling and offering to help with any request we had any where on the resort we were. Thanks to Jodian for the cold drinks at the pool. This was totally a top notch resort, the buffet was the best selection we have ever seen and the a la carte restaurants was superb, top shelf liquor at all the bars, again best selection I have ever seen, Henessey, Grey Goose, high end brandy, you name it and it's there. They even provide free shuttles to duty free shopping in Rose Hall. The grounds was clean and well manicured, every day you could see the staff taking care of even the minor details. There was activities and sports every day around the pool beach area as well as live music and nightly entertainment. This is really a high end resort, I would say a bit higher that a 5 star, any one looking for a high end vacation, this is the place. We stayed Sept. 21st to 28th in room 6408. Thanks

From the moment we got picked up we knew we were in paradise, the hotel is beautiful and the grounds are amazing , the food selection is the best we have ever seen, the beAch is well kept , food at surf and Turf and Italian were are favorite

Resort is very nice and clean, has a wonderful beach, room very spacious. Need to improve on service in buffet restaurant. Would like to see more varieties of Jamaican food. Bartender Jules was exceptional and amazing always ready to make you favorite drink even waitress Sashana at aunty Rudy very friendly and sweet.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Maya Suites: Worth every penny!! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful resort!! Once you enter the resort, it's clean, smells good, inviting and the staff is friendly and helpful!! Love the lemonade cucumber water they greet you with at the check-in desk!! Even my husband liked it!! We appreciated the golf carts servicing to rooms, throughout the grounds and other resorts!! Our elevators was not working but managed even if we were on the 3rd floor. It was nice and served its purpose!! Food was great and the à la carte dining was amazing!! The beach is WOW!! Loved it!! I wish people would be more considerate while enjoying the beauty and service offered even on vacation!! SO much to do and see but lots of walking between resorts which wasn't bad.. It kept us in shape with all the food and drinks intake :D !! The kids club was absolutely incredible!! Top notch staff and program was awesome!! My oldest loved it and highly recommend!! My youngest didn't get the chance to enjoy but always had a place.. He was accepted and he got to be on stage during some of the performance with the kids club kids!! My children were loved and treated like gold and so were we!! I We liked the entertainment offered for adults after the kids show. The staff at this resort, works hard and long hours!! Well worth tipping to help them out.. Keep in mind, tips are shared among the staff servicing the area you're at (so tip a little more, if you're able too)!! Never forget to say thank you and show your appreciation!! We never got bothered at the beach to buy things.. Only when you're going towards the Lindo.. The market on the crossing (I think 2x a week) and rare occasions would want you to buy something. If you don't want anything, just say no thank you!! Johny (I hope I'm not spelling his name wrong), the main pool bartender is the best!! He is so knowledgeable, kind and respectful! He cares, works hard and treats you very well!! For our first experience, we have been blessed with good weather, a great resort and great people to remember!! I give the staff and everything about this experience/resorts an A+ in my books!!
