Riu Palace Antillas: Beautiful beaches

The hotel is in a great location not far from shops and restaurants. It’s a very large hotel with lots of dinning options. This is our 4th time visiting Aruba and our first time at the Riu. We had perfect service the staff was great. And never bothering you for tips. The pools are large lots of options and shaded areas. My only down fall would be the rooms they are a little dated. Senator Puerto Plata Hotel: Beautiful Resort!

We had such a great vacation here. The staff was extremely friendly, and the service was great. The food was excellent...always lots to choose from. The rooms, and entire resort were kept very clean, and the entertainment at night was wonderful. We'll definitely go back again!

Riu Flamingos: the resort is amazing and beautiful

the Riu Jalisco grounds are beautiful; the public areas are very good; the buffets are good and the ala carte restaurants were also good. The beach area was clean and good there was always a spot for people to sit at the beach. The rooms were clean but the aging of the hotel could be seen. The towels in the bathroom need to be replaced as they were rough and hard to the skin, also there was shortage of hand and face towels. Riu Ocho Rios: Overdelivered!

Really enjoyed our stay last week. Took a Hobie Cat out 7 times! Paddle boarded, kayaked, snorkeled and climbed Dunn’s Falls. Staff was very nice, organized and professional. Rooms and resort in general were very clean. Food was good. Hope to return!

Riu Negril: wonderful Rio

I had an absolutely wonderful time at the Rio Nigril the second week of November - the staff were all so pleasant throughout. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone considering an all inclusive with lots of variety of activities and food to enjoy.

Riu Montego Bay: Nothing but amazing

This hotel is such in a perfect area. The beach is a walk away, BBQ chicken on the beach every day. The staff is awesome and always friendly. We did the Bob Marley tour and I still can’t get enough of how good our tour guide was. The pool is always clean and I loved the fact that they had build in laying chairs. The food was really good as well and a fantastic selection. We took some tours into downtown Montego Bay and we had such a great experience. I paid the extra for the ocean front view room and believe me it’s worth it!

Riu Palace Punta Cana: Amazing Resort

This is one of the best resorts I've been too in Punta Cana the resort is very well layed out for a compact resort .The food was excellent with a very good variety every night.The service was by far the best service i have ever had on any other resort I've been too .The staff was very friendly and went out of their way too make everyone happy. The grounds were very clean . Entertainment was very good Rooms were very clean and every thing worked well beach was very nice lots of beach loungers

Riu Republica: Great resort!

My husband and I returned from Punta Cana on Friday after a 7 day stay. Overall we were very pleased with Riu Republica. The hotel was a decent size and very well kept. Rooms were super clean and maintained everyday. The food.and drinks were also good. Staff was very friendly and the entertainment crew did a great job. The beach was beautiful and very clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel! :)

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Disappointed

I was disappointed in the new and improved Riu Paradise Island. The glass and chrome with grey decor I found very institutional looking not warm and inviting as most Caribbean resorts appear. The reception area instead of being the hub of the hotel with a bar and music appeared quiet and sombre. The rooms themselves were lovely though clean with a little tropical flair. The restaurants need some perking up, in fact we recommended to the waitress at the japanese restaurant a little music wou [... read more]ld add to the oriental ambiance. The main bar is set off down a hallway and not easy to find with very little entertainment . A board set out in the lobby might be nice to let the guests know whats happening entertainment wise in and around the hotel. The hotel staff were wonderful, warm and friendly with the exception of one individual who was the Sunwing rep. On our departure date we were told to have breakfast at 6:30 and the bus would be there for 7am. Well the restaurant did not open at 6:30 so we waited until 6:45 had a quick bite and were at the entrance at 7:05 only to witness the bus leaving . We approached the Sunwing rep and were told " to bad your problem". It not only made it very stressful it cost us $50.00 to get to the airport and her rude attitude left a bad taste in our mouth. We will reconsider using Sunwing again because of her total disregard for our situation.

Riu Palace Mexico: Great resort

Well kept hotel and grounds, excellent staff and service. Amazing beach, lots of palm trees for shade and beach service was excellent. Food was very good, breakfast and lunch buffet style. Five a la carte restaurants for dinners no reservations required, just show up. All were very good with lots of choices, decent wine and excellent service.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Nice resort

Hotel was newly renovated however their food menu needed some help and for an all inclusive l felt as though I was limited to amount. Front desk check in was not so friendly and buffet closed at 10pm which I thought was odd as we arrived at 930pm. We had to change rooms on the first night as well as our phone was not working. All little things that could have been avoided. Also the cafe should open earlier than 10 am. Pool was ice cold first few days and the outdoor buffet was not stocked with e [... read more]nough food.

Riu Republica: Fabulous honeymoon!

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon. We are a mature couple and weren't too sure about the adults only, but it was great! The pools are between the hotel and the beach and are laid out from party pool (with bar on the right), to a quiet pool on the left (with another swim up bar), and a medium action/noise pool in the middle. The steak house is good, first time not so great , second time amazing! The Italian was, ok but I honestly preferred the buffet. We didn't try the Japanese or the fine dining, But it was nice to have the option to just walk into any a la carte without needing a reservation. Our room was great very clean, modern and the bed was very comfortable. We were in the middle wing, ocean front, third floor. The view was amazing! The beach was unparalleled. The best sand ever, no rocks, no shells, although the water is sometimes too rough to be on the kayaks etc....the resort is on the Atlantic Ocean not on the Caribbean Sea, the water is very warm though. The beach is definitely the place to be for sunbathers and romantics. The new part of the hotel wasn't yet open but the whispers were saying by the end of November. It looks great! The best thing about this hotel is the staff. We didn't have the room we had expected when we arrived and I was quite upset. Victor at the front desk really went out of his way and made it right the next day. The servers are very friendly, happy people who seem to always be working hard. And AGAIN the entertainment staff are amazing...yes make sure you see the Tuesday night Michael Jackson show, and stay to the end, it's the best part! Special shout out to "sexy coffee" who runs all the entertainment at the quiet pool, he is hilarious and so charming! Can't wait to return!! Will definitely stay at Ruis in the future and will definitely be back here!

Riu Republica: Lots of room to grow

This new RIU is similar to the others in terms of quality of service and food. My gardenview room was really a view of a construction site. Regular jackhammering near the lobby was a turn off. The buffet was decent and the a la carte restaurants were hit and miss. The beach was beautiful - keep in mind that the water is rough. Our phone had to be repaired three times and our safe needed fixing. Lots of small ants in our hotel room. Free taxis to shopping was nice. Hotel employees were always kin [... read more]d and good natured despite the fact that they have limited knowledge of English. Obeide at the front desk was a delight. Overall the hotel is more of a four star. If you simply want to get away from your stress in life and enjoy a break this resort is good value for money - I paid about 1200.

Riu Palace Riviera Maya: Amazing resort

The resort was great. Very attentive staff. Good assortment of food. A la cart restaurants excellent. Especially loved Krystal and Chilli. Animation team very entertaining. Will return. Close to shoping at Playa Del Carmen.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great food, great people!

I was extremely pleased with the quality of food. Even the hamburgers were delicious! Everything, from the entrees to the desserts, was a feast to the palate. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness, both inside and out, was obviously a big priority. The staff were always available and eager to meet our every need. The only complaint I have is that the hotel Riu Palace Antillas requires serious renovations and updating. Many times we had to open the toilet tank to replace the  [... read more]chain that kept falling out, to allow the water to flush. The stopper to the bathtub didn't have a chain to pull on to allow the water to drain. We used a nail file to pry the plug up before we could remove it. The mattress and pillows were very outdated and lumpy. In general, the hotel is very drab in colour and lighting. The Riu Palace Aruba, next door, was recently renovated. The lobby was gorgeous. The only reason we didn't book that one is because it was a family resort rather than an adult-only resort.

Riu Yucatan: Amazing

We just returned from a 7 day stay in November, this trip was amazing. I've been on many all inclusives and this hotel takes the cake. The hotel is very modern, fresh, great for getting around. we were in block 5 on the third floor and loved out location. Rooms: shower pressure was great, room was large, requested and king and got it. Bar was stocked every other day which was perfect, had the bottles in room as well. There was enough hangers with a big closet and six drawers. Shower door was [... read more] glass, which was ok with us but if you're travelling with someone you would want privacy then request an extra towel to drape over the door. beach: the sand is lovely, plenty of chairs, you are only allowed to pull your chair to a certain part of the beach so it leaves a lot of room for walking, games and just an overall better view. the ocean was wavy all week, some days more. A lot of people brought floaties down to the ocean (from home). Bar is close by for the beach, just up some stairs. pool: there is a main pool area which has music and entertainment every day, these two pools (side by side) have loungers in them. There is a small swim up bar beside the main pools which have built in tables and seats at the bar and at the edge of the pool. there is also a quiet pool up by the lobby which we didn't go to but it looked lovely. restaurants: we tried the steak house and loved it, the Japanese and loved it and the buffet. you need reservations for the Mexican so we didn't make it there. there is also an Italian restaurant for lunch and dinner but we didn't make it there either. the other two (steak & Japanese) you show up and are seated when there is a table available. we never had to wait but I did hear of people waiting - in that case go to the bar (we saw them giving out buzzers so you know when your table is ready) the buffet had such a great selection. breakfast and dinner is in the main lobby. lunch is at margarita (beside the pools - this is also where the Mexican and Steak House restaurants are). food was amazing, amazing! I loved it all! bars: there is a lobby bar which seemed to be open early, there are two bars by the pools - one of which is open until midnight. there is a swim up bar and then a bar that faces the beach. the quiet pool by the lobby looked like it had a bar too. all excellent great service. special mention to Alfredo, he rocks!!!! we walked up the beach to the left (if you're looking at the ocean) it took about an hour and there were Mexican stores, but also Old Navy, Zara - a few others. there are hundreds of Mexican stores for souvenirs. you can also get there by walking through playcar. The hotel is an hour drive from the airport. We did the tulum/xel-ha excursion which was great, we booked through our Sunwing rep at the airport. there is a kids area ... didn't fully check it out but looked good. there are howler monkeys on the resort and I loved watching them... if you leave the lobby go to the right and they are in a little hidden area. the balcony had a built in towel rack which was nice to dry our suits on - makes the hotel look nicer too to not see everyones towels or suits hanging over the balcony. if you're wondering if you should book yucatan DO IT! we will be going back next year 100%!

Riu Republica: Beautiful clean resort!

Large resort lots of room For everyone. Clean rooms and grounds. Beautiful beachfront and 3 large pools where one can choose the party crowd or the quiet crowd. No reservations required for the a la cartes was nice first come first serve. We were a group of 6 or 8 for most meals and never had to wait to be seated together

Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful Beach

Great pool and beach Poolside waiters Raoul and Nelson were amazing. Rest of the staff could care less that you were a guest. Beds were comfy but pillows suck. Small and lumpy. Asked for new ones at front desk and never did get them. Room cleaning was hit and miss - short on towels, no water fill up in fridge. For a 5 star disappointing. Entertainment was mediocre. Acrobats were good but same performers each night with different costumes. Charlie's bar in st Nicholas was a blast. Rent a ve [... read more]hicle and take a tour. Weather was amazing, nice warm breezes. That's why you go to Aruba. For the price- double some other tropical locations- the RIU was disappointing. I would recommend going because of the weather not the hotel.

Riu Republica: GREAT RESORT FOR THE PRICE

NICE RESORT, GREAT STAFF,GOOD SELECTION OF FOOD .SHOWS AT NIGHT TIME NEED SOME WORK.BAR TENDERS AND SERVING STAFF ARE GREAT.ROOMS WHERE VERY NICE AND CLEANED EVERY DAY.WE ONLY USED THE STEAKHOUSE ONCE IT WAS ALL RIGHT BUT BUFFET WAS BETTER.
