Resonance Blu Varadero: Will never stay here again

The resort was horrible. A bad case of the fleas by everyone in our trip. A case of food poisoning for me and the food was just plain horrible will never go back to any resort in Cuba again. Then on top of it all stayed in the horrible Cuba air port in Varadero from 1 pm till 1130 pm due to plane troubles so Sunwing will never have me business again

Club Kawama: Good time- Great people

Rooms were clean, you may want to bring a pillow, not the fluffiest I've seen. Very poor selection of food in the buffet..but lets face it, were not there for the food..lol Grounds were kept clean. Resort ran out of towels one day- not sure why? The Staff, always very nice.. This is my 2nd time at this resort.. I always meet the nicest people and leave having new friends..I will always go to Club Kawama because it offers what i want, nice people, close to downtown Varadero and first resor [... read more]t from the airport.

Valentin El Patriarca Varadero: Great place to stay.

This is a very nice resort to stay during my family vacation in Cuba, people are friendly, foods are good, beach is great for relax as well. The tours we choose from Sunwing to Havana and Ocean were great too. Thanks to hardworking Cuba people, they’re not rich but are happy!

Palma Real: Great value for the price

We loved our stay at the Allegro Palma Real. I recommend for those who like to walk outside the hotel, since It’s one block from the main strip. The hotel is clean, the food is good even if it’s a little bit redundant. The pool is fair and the beach is amazing. The personnel is very nice. I intened to go back since for the price it’s the best value I ever had.

Sol Palmeras: Gorgeous Beaches

I recently stayed at the Sol Palmereas in Varadero. The resort is huge and also very beautiful. The buffet get a little tired as it is the same thing everyday. Also we stayed in a one bedroom bungalow and yes they clean it everyday but if one of your kids drops as much as Cheerio on the floor an army of ants will soon be crawling around the floor. The beaches are gorgeous and the pool as great as well. One thing did not sit well with us was the fact that we waited 2 hrs and 30 minut [... read more]es for the Sunwing bus to collect us to go home. Then once we arrived at the airport our flight was delayed two hours. That made for an exhausting long day for a 1 and 3 year old.

Melia Marina Varadero: Not eqial to star rating given

Not well organized, rooms in the main building are not maintained, poor entartainmant, apartment building rooms are better quality but quite a distance from the restorans, pool, and beach, the only thing which was prity good is a lovely beach and pool area, the star rating for this hotel is not more than 3 stars

Memories Jibacoa: Quiet Resort

This is a quiet resort with no close towns near by. It is very dated and the pool is missing a lot of tiles so watch your feet. Food is good with International restaurant being the best. Beach is great and the snorkeling is amazing.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Great Resort

The resort was close to downtown to enjoy the nightlife. The resort was clean and staff was mostly very kind. The beach was beautiful. Plenty of activities available on the resort. The rooms were plain but very clean. Not too much variety with the buffet meals but the food is good.

Muthu Playa Varadero: Best Experience

The thing I remember the most about Muthu Playa Varadero was the way the staff treated us like family. I felt safe, but beyond that I felt welcomed especially by the dining and bar staff who went above and beyond to make our stay amazing.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: A huge, beautiful resort

After a day in the regular resort, we upgraded to the Royal Service area, which is what I thought I had booked. The Royal Service was well worth the additional expense. The rooms were not only bigger but more luxurious and included all the amenities we expect in a North American hotel, whereas the rooms in the regular resort did not. Melia Marina Varadero: Service is 5 stars plus!

Being welcomed by genuine people makes for a great adventure. Maria and Yankiel at the snack bar always smiled from their eyes and their genuine attention made the snack bar our second home at any hour of the night (shout out to Yosmany on shift change, another rockstar), Jula and Yunior on animation never missed a beat in welcoming you into the activities and created connections among the vacationers, Deynelys, and Josee at the pool bar made the experience a special one by connecting vacationer [... read more]s in conversation and creating a sense of comradery that made the pool bar a "must visit" every day. Jenny was a superstar maid who made sure we felt her special touch when she cleaned our room, her attention to detail was noticed daily and made us feel looked after. Laso was ever ready with a smile as he offered rides to and from the beach in a modified golf cart (carrito). The last day was epic when the coconut /Landscaper guy made me a palm hat with a palm grasshopper on top for only a tip, this hat was the best souvenir I got in Cuba. I highly recommend this vacation for anyone who wants to relax in a safe and friendly environment with real value for your money.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Very good resort.

My husband and I went to Cuba for the first time for a much- needed rest. It's a well -run place on a beautiful beach. The food was OK for us as vegetarians, but better food labeling is recommended. The buffet staff was so nice and kind, in spite of being run off their feet! They appreciated my humble attempts at Spanish. Our room was very nice on the third floor of building five, but we got lost the first 2 days there, as they all look the same! Large signposts with directions to the number [... read more]ed buildings would be helpful. The numbers on the buildings are hidden by the palm leaves! There were many activities offered, but we went to rest and get some sun and fresh air, so didn't partake in any. The constant music was also not to my taste. A little silence is nice !We saw one excellent mini- circus presented in the evening. The activities start at 930. We preferred getting up very early and walking on the beach as the sun rose- very beautiful and peaceful. I got the stomach bug on the last day- not sure from where. Everything was very clean. it must have been from one of the excursions. Since being home I have been sick for 5 days, but it hasn't taken away the nice time we had there. The Cuban people are very warm-hearted and it was a pleasure to visit their country. We hope to go back again. If you stay at this resort, remember that it is almost the end of the line from Varadero and almost the last stop after they let everyone else off at all the other hotels. When you arrive late, you have to add another 30 minutes from the first drop off.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Great resort

Great resort, pretty clean, decent. Staff and entertainment teams and shows were awesome. Very good value for the deal we had. The coming back experience with Air Canada was an ordeal, with an 18 hours delay, especially for us and other families with kids. But that's another story which doesn't have anything to do with the resort. I would recommend this resort to friends.

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: We hit the jackpot with Starfish Cuatro Palmas

We have been to Cuba Many times in the past, but this time we hit the jackpot with Starfish Cuatro Palmas right in the heart of Varedero, close to many local nightspots and a safe neighborhood. We were in the quieter section of the Hotel in Las Palmas Bunglow 2 which is a across the street from the main complex, a quieter section. Though rated as 3 stars due to its room size, this resort has 5 stars, service, food, and entertainment. The quality of food is above par with excellent and a lar [... read more]ge choice in the buffet room. The a la Carte restaurants, both Cuban & International are also excellent and gastronomic meals are carefully prepared and gracefully served. Occasional beach BBQ and entertainment is a treat, The beautiful beach is literally connected to the hotel, and great drinks and cold Cerveza served, though the coffee’s in the pool bar is piss poor. It is an easy-going and fun loving place. Muslim Harji Montreal.

Hotel Villa Cuba: Great Time at Be Live Varadero

Hotel was fun. Typical day, get up late around 7 to 8 go to the coffee bar, buffet, lather up and head to the beach. After enjoying the most beautiful beach in the world, shower, buffet, pool bar, entertainment, visit with new friends, people watch, bed and repeat. All days were not typical as there was the hop on and off bus days with Varadero town restaurants, more people watching and the list goes on and on, just try it and you will see.

Sirenis Tropical Varadero: Good vacation at Labranda!

Loved the amazing beach, rooms were spacious and clean, food was plentiful and diverse, good shows for kids and adults, outstanding service from all personnel at reception desk, restaurants and bars. Will go again!

Hotel Los Cactus: Amazing vacation, shall return soon !

Great visit to Los Cactus from Dec 9th until Dec 16th in a Suite, large size room must of been recently renovated, two sofas in seating area, sun patio, very comfortable bed, great AC, coffee making area and fridge with water and soft drinks. Found the buffet food selection to be repetitious but quality and quantity was excellent. Never had trouble finding something different to eat each day, and the grill and pasta counters were awesome. Good selection of vegetables each sitting (even spou [... read more]ts!!), together with a salad counter. The two a la cartes, Italian and Cuban were excellent, an had no trouble booking our preferred dates and times. All our party put on a few pounds during our stay. The beach was amazing, soft white sand with warm waters, although two days we had yellow flags, the ocean was very swimmable and enticing. Never had difficulty finding 3 beds with an straw umbrella. The gardens were lovely and vast, and the different sunbathing areas around the pool were very good, never any difficulty finding beds. The different bar areas were also lovely, and never overcrowded. The staff were amazing, always attentive and on hand to get whatever you required, and always looking to chat and add to your experience. Reception answered all my questions, and helped in providing a taxi for a day trip to Havana with a very good english speaking guide. The evening entertainment was varied, every night was a different show, and we enjoyed the music quiz and magic show. The resort was a 30 minute walk from downtown, and a 5 minute walk from the hop on hop off bus, which for $5 all day fee is a great way to get round the resort and out to the Marina. For a first time in Cuba, I would return to this resort, as I think I got my monies worth for the price I paid ($670), and enjoyed a very relaxing stay.

Sol Palmeras: AMAZING SERVICE!

This is an excellent service, done by Karol Chareza from beginning to the end. We had an amazing time and we enjoyed the service and hopefully we see you next time...possibly next year. Merry Christmas

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Beautiful beach

Beach: amazing Staff: very courteous, friendly and helpful Grounds: beautiful, clean, well maintained Rooms: unrenovated section of the resort: rooms were scary, no closet doors, broken tiles, broken shower head Rooms: renovated section : were ok, clean, bed sheets only changed upon request Food: no a la cartes available first week. Not much variety or selection. Foods were not labelled so was unsure types of fish or if meat was beef or pork.

Grand Memories Varadero: Grand Memories says it all.

When you go to Cuba you have to always keep in mind that you may not get what you think you pay for if your use to going to a 5 star resort in the Bahamas or Mexico. I Have been to both, also Domenicain Republic, and although i loved every one of the Hotels i chose, we always come back to Grand Memories. We actually came the first time it was called RIU. I WILL NAME STAFF THAT HAVE GONE OUT OF THEIR WAY FOR US,,,,, i will start with the baggage cart drivers.
