Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent resort

We had a wonderful stay at the Royalton Santa Maria! I definitely recommend and consider staying again. The resort was very clean, the people were extremely friendly and the food was magnificent! The cleaning staff were wonderful especially Aleida who always kept our room clean and grabbed us everything we needed. Our butlers, Mairobis and Ariel were amazing as well. Always ready to make certain that we had the best time and were catered to.

Melia Las Antillas: wonderful resort

the resort is average size with great grounds lovely pools even the shark is good. The food was really good and better than most the only shortage was potatoes and still had them. the staff is the reason we keep going back. the rooms are a bit dated but only was there to sleep and change. They were clean and kept that way for our 2 week stay.Be back next year

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Lovely new resort!

Absolutely amazing beach! Shallow water with dunes. You can wade out quite a way and still only be waist deep. White soft sand with only a few small areas of rock. Crystal clear water. If you follow the beach to the left there are 2 more hotels and an ancient lighthouse. To the right there is one more hotel and then you can follow the beach for over an hour. There is a huge walk in shower with a rain forest nozzle as well as a hand held shower. The bed was king sized and quite comfortable. My balcony had a great view of the beach. Housekeeping staff were excellent. There was always plenty of food to eat, but not the variety you would see at home. Fresh grilled fish and a meat option were offered at lunch and dinner,there was also a pasta station in addition to rice, potatoes, pumpkin, and mixed dishes on the buffet. Fresh papaya, watermelon, starfruit, pineapple and grapefruit were available at each meal. Omelettes are the breakfast staple as well as a type of back bacon. The a la cartes were ok. I enjoyed the tex mex restaurant.Had to wait in line for over an hour to book the a la cartes though. Only one person taking reservations. Waitstaff, bartenders, entertainment crew, were all very friendly and went out of their way to make things good. There were times when the surge of people in the buffet was difficult for staff to keep up with, but mostly good. The entertainment seemed to start very late. The kids mini disco started at 830 at night, although it was well attended and the kids seemed to love it, it just seemed way past bedtime for the 3-5 year olds. The adult entertainment often started at 930 pm, so I did not see much of it, although I did watch the dancers rehearsing down by the beach late afternoon and they were very talented. All in all, an absolutely amazing vacation! Thanks to trip central's Eliana Anton for helping us book this lovely resort!

Hotel Los Cactus: Returning to Los Cactus

What a wonderful stay we had at this resort! This was my 12th time at Los Cactus and it did not disappoint. The improvements they have made to the resort is impressive with a freshened up main building and work in progress all over the resort. The grounds were always neat and tidy, pool and beach so clean too. Lots of food and no shortages that affected our stay. Starfish Jibacoa: Never disappointed

What can I say that hasnt already been said? This was our second time here and I would recommend it to any who want an authentic Cuban experience in a tropical setting with lots of opertunities within walking or short cab ride distance to explore the area and interact with the locals. Contrary to the concerns expressed by some, there was plenty of food, great service and at an amazing price.

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Horrible resort

This trip was one of the worst ones we have ever experienced. There is NO way this resort is a 5 star it’s more of a 3. We had NO coffee all week- water we had to beg for and don’t even ask what we had to use to dry ourselves after a shower. Customer service there was horrible- everyone and their mother was complaining about somethings. I am no princes, nor did I go to Cuba to eat like one but the staples? There would be nights they’d take our towels and not return them leaving us and many others with nothing to dry ourselves with. Our flight was delayed… so they gave us a courtesy room to have a shower before our flight- it was disgusting —-we had to use our flip flops in the shower the room was gross and again - non towels to dry off- we after going to front desk to complain we just needed imputing tshirts from our luggage to dry off. Sad part is— anyone we talked to that was being picked up along the way had plenty of coffe and plenty of food options so it’s not a Cuba thing as much as just a BAD resort. I can garentee anyone that went will Not be going back to that resort again. Disappointed over this experience and will never go back

Valentin Perla Blanca: Valentin oasis

This was our first trip to the Valentin perla blanca in Cayo santa Cuba. This resort has a lot if plus. But there is a few minus. Food is the minus. The beach is the best I've seen so far in Cuba. At the Valentin to the right, it become a naturist reserve. No reports that way and amazing beach untouched. The staff is amazing. I want to return soon.

Not sure if I would return beaches are absolutely beautiful The people are very friendly but too much pressure to give either tips, clothing, money from staff at hotel. Lots of food unfortunately it was not very appealing or edible

Valentin Perla Blanca: Nice resort

We just came back from Cayo Santa Maria Valentin Perla Blanca. Spend a week there, unfortunately whether was not too good and windy, but beaches were still amazing and clean. We did not waste a day at the beach despite the wind. Hotel stuff is amazing friendly and helpful. Especially at the Tea corner bar. Keiny is absolutely perfect and very customer oriented, as well as Ailene and Sara Antonella. They did a wonderful job on serving clients. We stayed at the building #30 and our maids Ailen and Dayanis cleaned our room every day very well. Thank you, girls. Food. Considering a bad economic situation in Cuba, food was very good. Have a lot of cheese, papaya and even veggies. I was surprised be taste of tomatoes and one evening there were even cucumbers. Seafood and meat were good too. Our servant at the buffet were Mayelky and Yerandy, always helpful and with the smile. At the Snack bar Yanexy did a good job serving us. In general we are very pleased with the service and hotel.

Iberostar Selection Holguin: Will not be returning to cuba

I have been to cuba many time ,but now the food was the worst, cuba needs to do something to servive , covid really changed the place resort was only 1/2ocupied in January, the people were grate,no botle water,no soft drink or beer in the fridge

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: we loved the place

our friend brought us there it was amazing we loved everything hope to go back next year. your butler novia helped us with everthing.took my dad he uses a walker and they put us on main floor.great staff they took care of us 100 percent..

Paradisus Princesa Del Mar: Disappointing

This is my fifth trip to Cuba and I understand the shortage in Cuban resorts but this was beyond my comprehension of that. Not gonna get into what was absent but from the cleanliness of the resort and absolutely no staples. No coffee no eggs no meats no shrimp no. Even oil or vinegar were completely absent. Listen I’m not a picky guy I wasn’t raised in royalty but this was terrible. Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Will not be going back

This is my second and last time to Memories Caribe, we where there April 2023 and returned Jan 2024. -First let me say I have been to Cuba 18times in the past 23 years and it was always a favorite but sadly no longer. Food: The shortage's really show and normally I can find something to eat but this time it was really slim pickings not to mention the FLY infestation and again not my first time to Cuba but this time the Fly population was horrendous, when you have to take your lunch out into t [... read more]he ocean to get away from the flies!!! The buffet every piece of food and numerous flies on it and then day 3 they started flying crop dusters over top of us spreading pesticides that dropped on us either sitting by the pool or on the beach not to mention the fogging that had to happen. Part of the problem was garbage's where not being emptied and people where leaving their half drank drinks everywhere and no mix for drinks but water downed lemonade and tang!!! Gross! Our room was not swept once the entire week and yes we tipped! No hand towels, had a Keurig in room was supposed to have coffee and cups etc.. never got any of that. When we where there in April of 2023 we knew it was getting bad just never expected it to get that bad! We will not be returning to Cuba and that is very sad :-(

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: We will be back!

Beautiful beaches, beautiful people, clean as a whistle. Planning our trip back for March! Been to Cuba many times and this is the only resort I would go back to again. Staff was amazing, lots to drink, except tap water.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: It was a fantastic resort

I would give it a score of 9 on 10. The restaurants that were on reservations only were excellent except for the Cuban resto. The buffet and cafe restos were very good. Personnel was fantastic and very helpful. the beach was not what I expected very disappointed

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: Do not go here

This hotel needs to be torn down. It’s beyond repair. Mouldy pillows, no toilet paper musty rooms. Overall in terrible shape. Surprisingly the food wasn’t bad. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. The staff tried but appeared beaten down. Also not many people under 65. If your looking to meet interesting people and have fun this is not the place. .

Melia Trinidad Peninsula: New relaxing resort

Located not far from famous Ancone beach with sunset and sunrise. Still under construction, but it does not affect your stay. Big rooms , all with seaview. Plenty of good food, included drinks are good, premium at charge. Pools are very good, a lot of beach lounges and beds. Beach is still under construction, no grass. Good swim area approximately 150 m away. Good snorkeling. Spa with sauna, steam room, exercise equipment and massage. Bicycles available. Watersports should be available shortly.  [... read more] Entertainment includes a band playing mainly Latin music, dance group with a singer and lady trumpeter. Big kids club with playstations. 15 minutes by bus or taxi to Trinidad. Plenty of friendly personal, very few speaking English or French. Two a la carte restaurants. Both are worth visiting once. General manager Juan Pereira Márquez is excellent. Most staff really trying their best. 135 min to Santa Clara airport and 80 min to Cienfuegos airport by comfortable bus with toilets. No drinks or foods are available.

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Mixed emotions

The room was well except for the 2 broken beside lamps. The service was good in general, staff was nice. Concerning the food - the redundancy of the food they serve, over and over, meal after meal, cut into different shapes but ALWAYS the same, no condiments whatsoever (not even oil to put over your salads) was REALLY irritating. They had no coffee for over a week at the bar, they heated some cold stuff with t [... read more]he espresso steamer and served it drowned into lukewarm milk. Wow. Forget about the white wine. They had a little on one or two days and then no more. BUT they DID have 40$ CAD bottles of white wine for sale on their bar shelves (really???… come on!!!!). This was my 3rd stay here and I have mixed emotions regarding any future trips at this resort. Not sure I’ll be returning. Too bad.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Wonderful Resort

This was our second trip to the Royalton Hicacos in the last two months. We returned so quickly because we enjoyed ourselves immensely! Our review in short order: best strip of beach in Cuba, amazing and attentive staff all around - butlers, servers, cleaning staff, management, cooks, and so on, and remarkably well resourced restaurants with little evidence of any shortages. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The upgrade to a Superior room is well worth it - buildings 1-4 are renovated [... read more] with all the modern conveniences and styling. The resort has special perks for returning guests, and treated us superbly. Special mentions to JB and Tatiana in the Pearl Restaurant, Annia at the Lobby bar, all the staff at the Pool Bar, as well as butlers Betty, Laura, Leo and Omar, and Naylet.

Melia Internacional: Wonderful stay with family

The hotel was well laid out, easy to access all facilities, staff are friendly and professional, the variety of food at the hotel was good despite the food shortages in Cuba. We met with family who joined us at the resort and we all enjoyed our stay. The resort was nearly at capacity yet it did not feel crowded at all. We plan to visit again in the future.
